Host's home, Germany - 6th November 2012

Hey Moma,
this evening we were pretty busy. We helped host mum to prepare two packages that she is going to donate for Weihnachten im Schuhkarton/Geschenke der Hoffnung, Christmas in a shoebox/presents of hope(international name: operation christmaschild).
First we decorate the box with christmas wrappingpaper and stickers and put a label on it that shows that these packages are meant to go to a boy age 10-14 year. Than we filled it with all the stuff host mum bought for that. The first package: a sweater, gloves, toys, sweets and so on. The second one: a pencil case already filled with all kinds of pens, warm stockings, a cap and also sweets, toys and more.
Don't worry mum, after I checked that everything is in place I crawled back out and helped to put a rubber band around the package.
Next week Susie's mum will take them to a store where they collect the packages and will hand them over to the organisation.
Now I feel really good because I helped to do something good.
Love you
Karlos

Frankfurt/Main, Germany - 13th November 2012
By: Susie's
Hello there,
this evening hostmum had stuff to do in downtown Frankfurt. She was pretty busy there. But took the time anyway to do a tinytiny little bit of sightseeing. We went to the roof terrace of a department store (7th floor) with a great view on the enlightened
skyscrapers. Back down again Susie's showed me a Baroque building called Hauptwache it was first build in 1729-30. Back then it was a guardroom. Today it is a Cafe.
Unfortunately there wasn't time to see more.
But I still enjoyed it.
Good Night Mommy

Bad Homburg, Germany - 15th November 2012

Servus Mama,
this morning I went to Bad Homburg with hostmum.
She wanted to show me the local castle (it was built in 1679-1686 by Earl Friedrich II.) On the way we came by two beautiful
churches. The first one is the Catholic church St. Marien (which is famous for it's bells and it's ringing) and the second one is the Protestant church called Erlöserkirche (built in 1903-1908).
Last but not least we visited the so called Laternenfestbrunnen (lanternsfestivalfountain). It is very important for Bad Homburg because every year there is Latersfestival (since 1935) and Laternsqueen is elected.
That was pretty interesting.
For now I say good Night.
Have sweet dreams.
