Paderborn, Germany - 7th October 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
believe it or not...after all the adventures and experiences and meetings of the last days I needed time for myself
So I decided to go for a walk round Neuenbeken, hostmum's home village, on my own.
It was a sunny day and I saw again that my scarf is an absolute autumn-scarf
And I just sat here and there and enjoyed life...
And now the next meetings and jokes can start
Love you,
yours OleOrangescarf

Paderborn, Germany - 13th October 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mum,
today we had a sunny day so we went on a autumn-cycling tour.
We met some late bees and saw the harvested maize fields. The trees look very nice now, some leafs get brown, some get yellow, some get red or orange...
We found some big yellow mushrooms...or toadstools? Nobody knew and nobody wanted to try out
And look the red rose hips!
On the sign you can see the route we drove. After a while we reached our destination, a 300-year-old half-timbered house in the middle of a forest in which a friend of hostmum lives.
Many kisses

I have completed my first life mission, mummy
Mefito came back from his pilgrimage in Spain and I'm sure we'll become very good friends!
We all hugged him and than we sat together round an indoor campfire and listened to his adventures...

Reelkirchen, Germany - 20th October 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mum,
today we made a trip to Reelkirchen, not the paradise , but a very nice little village that belongs to the Egge mountains.
We visited the old church and a very old lime tree.
There were very many half-timbered houses, some more than 300 years old.
On the way back we saw the colourful forest. Great!

Dear mummy,
today we went to an autumn-fair in Paderborn city. First we had a look from the top of the multi-storey we had parked. Then we went to the fairground.
We admired the ghost train, an old merry-go round, stands with lots of sweets and the Ferris wheel. Hostmum asked us whether we wanted to drive with the Ferris wheel...without question we wanted It was great!!!
I love you

Paderborn, Germany - 1st November 2013

Dear mummy,
today it's been a grey and rainy day so we did the best we could do: having a relaxing bath.
First each of us chose his favourite bubble bath and then the relaxation began...wonderful...
Hours later we continued relaxing with yummy chocolate in front of the television.
Very nice grey and rainy November day
1000 hugs

Altenbeken, Germany - 3rd November 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
today afternoon we went for a walk round Altenbeken, the village next to Neuenbeken.
There we walked through a forest to a statue of saint Mary where hostmum lighted a candle for all her late relatives and friends as many people do on All Saints' Day.
On our way to the statue we saw some signs but no sign to saint Mary but we could see her from a long way away.
It was a very peaceful place as you can see.
On the way back we met a strange guy in the middle of the forest.
We took another rest on a bench when suddenly we were knocked over by a gust of wind
In Altenbeken we visited an old steam engine that is standing there in memory of the past. Altenbeken has been and still is a railway junction.
Bye for today
yours Ole

Paderborn, Germany - 9th November 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mum,
today morning hostmum had to drive to the vet with two canaries of her place of work. While they were on their way we explored the birdcage.
Okay, it was not so bad to sit on a swing but we were all happy to be free ToyVoyagers who explore the world instead of sitting in a cage...
Then we drove to a shop full of musical instruments. Great!
We were allowed to test all the instruments
I liked many of the instruments but I was most enthusiastic about the electric guitar!
Love you

Paderborn, Germany - 15th November 2013
By: mcdaniels
Dear mummy,
today we droved to Paderborn city by bus for visiting river Pader. This river is the shortest river in Germany (only 4 km) but has got more than 200 sources.
We visited a place where women did the washing up to the fifties of the last century.
While sitting there suddenly a goose caught me
"This is not allowed, I'm a tourist!", I shouted and so the goose dropped me, apologized to me and allowed me to sit on her back...puuuhh!
Many many hugs,
yours OleOrangescarf
