East Coast, Australia - 27th August 2012
By: Tika
Mum, Dad, Australia was so wonderful!
We started with a great breakfast in Schwetzingen at 7.7.
After we arrived in Brisbane (traveling time 35 hours) we drove with our "Lilly the love bus" directly to Noosa, where I enjoied the great wether at the sunshine beach.
And we had a great view over Noosa
At the beginning of our trip, we visited the Australian Zoo and I saw so many animals,I've never seen before. Dingos, Turtles, Wombats...
Dingos:
Koalas: - They're sleeping nearly 22 hours per day!
a poisonous snake: (but happily not in wildlife)
Many, many Kanguroos:
Some Crocs:
Rhino:
My big brother:
A cute Womat:
Later we spend a lot of time in Agnes Water and Town of 1770.
Most of the time it was rainy and really cold, so we hang out a lot:
We also were in a laundry an read some scandal sheets:
The day at the Great Barrier Rief was nearly the only day without rain. My hostmum was snorkeling with coloured fish and turtles, but I stay at the boat.
Now i'm still in Schwetzingen, but tomorrow we're going to Mannheim and than i can come back to you <3
See you soon,
your Sheldor

Äänekoski, Finland - 22nd October 2012
By: Fendi
Hey Mom and Dad! Lots of greetings in Finland!
Last weekend me, Lancel and our host mom made a morning walk to the forest which is near the lake. The weather was sunny and quite warm, but now the weather will change. The weatherman said it's maybe snowing on this week!
Today Lancel will continue her trip to German. But I don't need to be alone, my host mom's own ToyVoyager Tsuki came back to home. She will have fun with me.
My host mom promised that she can maybe take me to school with her. And next weekend we are going to Tampere. I hope that I don't get lost in such a big city.
I hope you both are feeling well, now I will go to continue my comic marathon.
All the best!

Äänekoski, Finland - 26th November 2012
By: Fendi
Hello Mommy and Daddy!
I hope that you have not worried about me, I'm alright! The winter has came to Finland, at least here is really dark but not snow : ( Some time ago here was snow for few days but it melted away. Then I played outside and made my own den in snow.
Last weekend me and my hostmom visited in real countryside! My host mom's boyfriend's friend lives in Kivijärvi and his family has there a milk farm. There was about twenty cows and large fields. And they had a cat too, it was cute and little fatty cat called Viiru. We had our own adventures at night when others were sleeping.
I wish you all the best!
Hugs and kisses, Sheldor : )

Äänekoski, Finland - 10th December 2012
By: Fendi
Hey Family!
Now the winter has came back to Finland! On the first of December, here was snowing whole day and since then the ground has been white! I'm really happy because now the nature looks so much more beautiful. And I almost saw a rabbit! Or in fact I saw only the footsteps on the snow but almost..
Few days ago I baked gingerbreads whit my host mom, they were really delicious.
And then my host mom recived special gift from her Chinese friend. It was a little Christmas tree, which was at the beginning just brown paper tree, but after night it has changed!
The sixth of December was Finland's Independence Day! Then we celebrate it by eating really good food and watching old war movie called "Tuntematon sotilas" (Unknown Solider).
I'm fine and I hope that you are too : )
Greetings, Sheldor

Äänekoski, Finland - 1st January 2013
By: Fendi
Hi Mom and Dad!
Parties are over now! Christmas has been celebrated and New Year has begun! : ) I have been really busy before and after Christmas, so many things to do!
In Finland friends and different groups (schools, sport teams etc.) usually organize before Christmas party. In Finland it's called "pikkujoulut" (little Christmas). So me and my host mom visited in local postcrosser's Christmas party. There was really fun! Lots of happy people, good food and of course presents! My host mom get little extra gift from her postcrossing friend and active ToyVoyager host, mmm105. She has made two little dolls, they are brothers called Voo and Doo. Really good guys, we have good jokes together ;D
Then later I assisted my host mom to make little gifts for her friends. She made the gifts, I ate the gingerbreads.
Me and my host family spent Christmas in their cottage. It's in middle of forest, near the lake. The weather was really cold, -20 celsius degrees, so the nature seemed really beautiful.
In Finland, the most important Christmas traditions are to be with them you love the most and eat a lot. Eat really much, ham and chocolate. And other good foods. A lot.
When my host family was in Christmas sauna, the Santa Claus visited! He left lots of gifts under the Christmas tree, sadly others didn't see him. I hope he brought my greetings for you
New Year Eve was nice too, we spent it on that milk farm which I have told you earlier. There we shot some fireworks and drove with snowscooter. It was quite scary, in fact. Now we are home again, and the weather is just right to do a snowman! And so we did. And little snow lantern too. The snowman doesn't look like normal snowman, it looks like those little ghost creatures in Moomin. Tomorrow we are going to Jyväskylä, there is this year's first postcrossing meeting!
I hope you had really nice Christmas!
All the best, Sheldor : )

Hey Mom and Dad! Long time no see! My host mom has been busy with weird things, she calls it studying but I think she makes everything else but styudy.
On last week we did a walking trip to town. It was a nice sunny day, here is still lots of snow but sun warms nicely. My host mom showed me a winter swimming place. Can you imagine, here is people who want to swim when lake is frozen. Crazy people.
Then we went to summer cottage for Easter. There we just ate chocolate eggs and lamb. My host mom also built me a little house in the snow. When the house was ready, we built a snowman.
And today I will start my journey back to home! I have missed you guys really much!
I hope we will see soon!
Love, Sheldor : )
