Freiburg-day 1, Germany - 28th June 2013
By: Susie's
Hey Mom,
last Weekend we went on a City trip.
We took the Train to Freiburg which is in the federal state of Baden-Württenberg and is surrounded by the black forrest. Means there are hills and mountains all around.
On friday afternoon we climbed one of (with the help of a small cable car Train) to get to a panoramic view Tower. By the time we reached it we were already so exhausted that we didn't even went up the stairs anymore.
After that the three of us just strolled around in the old part of Freiburg and found that cute small alley with vine branches growing over it and saw lots of other nice places.

Freiburg-Day 2, Germany - 29th June 2013
By: Susie's
Hello dear Mom,
our second day in Freiburg didn't start off too well. It was raining a lot. So Orkku Orava, Susie's and me jumped on the tram and crusied around town.
In the afternoon the weather got better and we got to go outside. That was luck for us cause we met some very interestings residents and saw beautiful mosaic's on the sidewalk (they even mark the store they are infront of) and small water canals that are all over town (they are great to play in but you have to make sure not to step in the water or otherwise you have to marry a local ).
And not to forget the cathedral with it's super nice and colourful Windows.
Love you Mommy

Freiburg- Day 3, Germany - 30th June 2013
By: Susie's
Yo Mama,
sunday was actually depature day. But since we planned to take a Train in the afternoon there was some time left. And we even left the town and took some kind of cable-sky-cabin-train up to the top of the Mountain "Schauinsland" (20 Minutes, 3,6 Kilometers, Elevation 1220m). We walked around a bit and enjoyed the view. But had to go back soon to catch the Train back home.
What a super nice Weekend.

Frankfurt, Germany - 13th July 2013
By: Susie's
Hi Mum,
this morning I had to say goodbye to my good friend Orkku Orava. She is on her way to the netherlands. I will miss her because she is lots of fun.
To distract me, Susie's took me to Frankfurt and showed me a real nice place. It's a rooftop garden with lots of herbs and lavender. I really liked it. Especially because I could see the Skyline of Frankfurt in the distance.
Have a nice Weekend.

Last sunday we went to some kind of zoo. But they only have animals that usually live in the wild in Europe. Like wolves, elks, deers, wild pigs and some more. All the animals have very spacious compounds with lots and lots of room. It's a huge zoo and we spent many hours there.
They also have a falconery with trained birds. Of course we had to see the Show.
How was your Weekend?
Love you

Bad Orb, Germany - 21st July 2013
By: Susie's
Hey Ma,
how are you? How was your Weekend?
I spent the day outside (of course).
This time we drove to Bad Orb to walk along the barefoot path. It is supposed to be the longest one in Germany with it's 4,5km.
We walked on a whole lot of differed Undergrounds. As there is: Wood, sand Stones, mud and even a little greek to wade through and much much more.
That was fun.
Love you

Frankfurt, Germany - 27th July 2013
By: Susie's
Good Evening Mama,
have you melted away yet?
I almost did, yesterday. But it was worth it.
You will see.
First of all we took the Train to the Frankfurt central Station. Where we got an ice cold chocolate drink. It helped a bit but only for a few minutes. Cause then we had to take atoher Train to the
Stadium which usually is home of the 1. League Soccer Team called Eintracht Frankfurt. But not yesterday night.
A super great Show took place. Named Aquanario.
Of course it has to do with water but there also was fire, Music and fireworks and lights and........ It was just wow! I loved it.
And how was your Weekend?
XOXO
Frederik

Hi Mommy,
yesterday Susie's took me to Frankfurt/Main for some Sightseeing.
I got to see the cathedral and the Römer (square). Both are nice and are famous sights of Frankfurt.
I would tell you more about them and their very important history but I'm way to tired cause that weather that extremely hot weather is so exhausting.
I'm sorry.
Night night

Host's hometown, Germany - 4th August 2013
By: Susie's
Cause it is still sooooo warm we can't do much. Neither inside nor outside.
So all we did last Weekend was a short walk along the river Main sunday morning (this time without a flood). That was bearable. At least for a little while.
And how was your Weekend?
Send you hugs and kisses
