SuSi89's sister has spent some days in GB. Look what she brought to show us.
I really like this stuff. Maybe I will get the chance to visit London, too?!

hello mommy!
after a good breakfast (like the other day) hannibal said we should go with my host in his car. hannibal mentioned berlin is a big city. so we took place in the pool position on the dashboard and let us drive the whole day. we rode and rode and rode. all we saw was houses: big houses, old houses, high houses, new houses, and streets. soooo many streets. now i now what a big town is.
cu mommy! blue is cool

berlin, germany - 9th June 2012

hello mommy ...
after a rich breakfast ...
... me and hannibal decided to visit the western town centre of berlin. here you see us on the most famous corner at kurfuerstendamm, main shopping street in the west. behind us is cafe kranzler: you can either sit on the round terrace on top or on the pavement at the street an watch tourists walking by.
this is the fountain of the world, called "wasserklops" (water dumpling).
here we are in the "europa centre" - a shopping mall. behind us is the clock of flowing time. the time is shown by flowing water in glass tubes.
this is also a clock - it's late, let's walk on.
this is the entrance of zoological garden.
a brick rhino.
look, what funny gullies they have: they show the most important sights of berlin.
this is kadewe, the largest department store in continental europe. only harrod's in london is larger.
then we took ...
... the underground ...
... to potsdamer platz, a new business quarter with theatres, cinemas, restaurants, ...
... high office buildings, ...
... and a shopping mall.
since the anual berlin film festivals take place here, they have also build a walk of fame. some stars are still empty, so you can step into them and be a star for some minutes.
a lego giraffe.
this is sony centre.
i could not decide which postcard i should buy.
outch! what a strange sculpture in the railway station.
look: a big red elephant!
this has been a nice walk through the town. hannibal is a good guide.
bye bye mommy ... cu here tomorrow

berlin, germany - 10th June 2012

hello mommy. elephant speaking!
today me and hannibal went to the very centre of berlin. we started at friedrichstrasse.
this is a small shopping mall.
near by we have seen gendarmenmarkt, ...
... one of the most beautiful squares. on the northern side is the french church, built by the prussian king for the french refugees, that had to leave france due to there lutzeran faith.
in the middle of the square is the concert house.
on the south side opposite to the french church is the german church.
sorry mom, i needed to go to the toilet ...
this is public transport in berlin with beer drinking.
then we went to the ...
... humboldt university, named after two of the most famous german scientists.
state opera house is being refurbished.
this is new guard house, now a monument for freedom and peace.
this is the berlin cathedral.
here you see the old museum, a part of the museum island with a large number of really big museums.
the old national gallery looks like a greek temple.
spree river.
this is hackesche hoefe, an old building complex with many small shops, a cinema and two theatres.
near by we went onto alexander square with the television tower.
ooops ... nobody seems to have told the birds that the concrete wasn't dry enough to walk on ... ts ts ts ...
here on this world time clock you can see what's the time in many big towns in the world. when this clock was errected the people here were not allowed to travel to those places shown on it. it's good that these times are gone!
alexander square has lots of new and high rise buildings.
the television tower does not have an official name, but an inofficial one: tele asparagus. do you know what televions means in english? yes, it's far looking. so this is a far looking tower.
this is the red townhall, the seat of the berlin senate and the mayor.
this is for you, mommy!
behind the townhall we found the rest of the old town of berlin: nicolai quarter.
it is gathered around saint nicolai's church.
the bear is the official animal of berlin. this one was sleeping.
this is the old seal of the town of berlin.
back home we took the ...
... underground. hooooo it gets windy when a train arrives ...
cheerio mommy, cu next time with more pictures - your fanti on tour!
