Hello mum,
The last days I was busy. I helped host mum to bake Christmas cookies.





We baked a lot.





Most of the cookies get host mum's dad, her brother and an elderly neighbor who lives alone. I had lots of fun and it smelled sooo good.

Today was a Hello and Goodbye day. First we welcomed Lancel,



a little rabbit.





She is the third Bunny here. And then we said goodbye to Mr. Wilson.







He's moved on to Germany, where he will spend Christmas.

Hello mum and all the loved ones at home,
after a week of snow and icy roads we could go outside again today. Wonderful winter weather.



As host mum came home from work, she grabbed us immediately into her bag and off we went.





We walked up a forest path.



The sun was shining through the trees.









So much snow.









Above we saw pristine snow.









We had a wonderful view.

Hello dear mum.
Today I was able to accompany host mum to work. She is responsible for inventory management and shipping to a company for hotel and kitchen supplies. First I visited her office.



It is not ready set up, they moved just two weeks ago. Then I looked at the warehouse.



Thousands of kitchen towels, tablecloths, napkins, aprons and more.





Even here was Santa Claus.



It was great to see what host mum does when she is not at home.

Hi mommy and all the loved ones at home,

I had a very merry Christmas. On Christmas Eve we have decorated the Christmas tree with host dad.







Sorry if some pictures are blurred. We laughed so much as host dad fought with the fairy lights.



The Christmas tree looks wonderful.





Then came the big moment.



Everybody got his gift.





I got a Cuddle Pillow and a cap.





Now I can dream of Finland and of you, mommy.

Hi mommy
it's so boring at the moment. Since Christmas storms and rains every day. No chance to go outside. Therefore, I sit with my cuddly pillow and the new cap in the peanuts and wait for nice winter weather.

mum, I wish you and all the loved ones at home a happy and healthy new year. After a great dinner, we watched a bit of television



to sell us the time. Then host brother has ignited table fireworks.



We had great fun with all the funny things.









Later we listened to the church bells and welcomed the New Year with champagne. Then we watched the fireworks.





As our host family went to sleep, we have emptied the remaining bottles. May be this was a little much for some of us



but we had a great party. And the party will go on, we have in fact two birthday kids. But that's another story.

Hello mum
after three weeks of rain (host mother can not remember such a terrible winter) we were finally able to back outside. No sun but dry. We all wanted to play in the snow. And for snow we had up high,





very high. Sledding on Schwägalp was funny.





Then host mum had the idea of ​​visiting the Santis. So we took the cable car





and were on our way to Säntis peak.







At the top station we admired an exhibition of various museums around.





Then we reached the summit. It was so cold and windy. Everything was frozen.







This is the weather station.



And that's the big TV antenna.



After a warm-up break, I wanted to feed the mountain jackdaws. Host mum was afraid that something happened, but host dad promised to take care of me.











That was an adventure. Then I tried skiing.





Was not bad. On our way back we even saw the sun.







It was a wonderful day.

Hello mum,
Today we said goodbye to Meomie.



She continues her journey and will visit Germany. We sang a song of farewell



and wished a safe journey.



On Saturday we will have a great trip. Host mum will not tell us where we go. All we know is that we take the train, and the rest is a surprise.

Hello mommy
Yesterday morning we had to get up very early. At 7 clock we sat on the train.





Our first stop was Zurich. There, we had just enough time to photograph the station





and to find out where the journey takes. We will travel to Basel. Basel is one of the oldest cities in Switzerland, located on the River Rhine. The city, near the border with Germany and France is known for its chemical industry. After our arrival in Basel,



we saw only a few steps from the train station Strasbourg Monument



and the Bank for International Settlements.



Our route took us to Elisabeth church



next to the Theatre. We had a short break at the Tinguely fountain.





This fountain, called Fasnacht Fountain was a gift of a great food discounter to the city of Basel.



Then we saw the Basel Cathedral,





located on the cathedral hill high above the Rhine. We had a magnificent view of the river and part of the city.



The skyscrapers that you see in the center of the image, is the fair tower.



Through narrow streets



we found our way to the river Rhine. We crossed the "Middle Bridge" and could see the old town from the other side.





On our way back we saw the red city hall.









It was built in 1504-1514. After these many impressions we were exhausted and slept through the journey home. I hope you like Basel as much as I.

host mum told me that you found a new host for me and I will continue to travel. It will not be a long journey, because I stay in Switzerland. We had a small farewell party with cupcakes.



I had to eat the big muffin because host dad had secretly eaten a TV muffin.



Then I packed up my stuff: my cuddly pillow, my cap, a card and candy.



I climbed into my envelope



and made ​​myself comfortable.





Every one of my friends wished me a safe trip.
