Jelenia Gora, Poland - 6th February 2015

Today I saw very beautiful house.
Gerhart Hauptmann lived here in this house . He was a winner of the of the Nobel Prize for Literature on 1912 and spent a great amount of his creative life here.
I like this big house. Anna told me that it is museum right now. I really wanted to see how it looks inside, but we were unable to visit museum today.
Anna promised me that we will visit this place again, because it looks amazing inside. We are not sure if we will be able to take pictures inside , but we will see later.
It s very cold today in Jelenia Gora. And we have some snow :-)

Jelenia Gora, Poland - 15th February 2015
By: aniaiola
I saw very nice building today :-) The palace in Cieplice (previously: Bad Warmbrunn) was erected between 1784 and 1788 as a residence of the Schaffgotsch family. Now the palace in Cieplice is in very good condition. Some of the original, Classicist elements (floor, paneling, plafond) have survived to this day in some of the chambers on the first floor. The palace right now is used as an Off-campus Educational Unit. The inside of the palace may be visited by prior arrangement with the University authorities, but it is not generally open to tourists. One can also attend an academic event or an exhibition mounted in the palace.
Anna said that we will try to see this beautiful palace inside. She was there and she told me that the ball room, the Blue Room and the Mirror Room are just amazing :-) I hope I will be able to see it :-)

Jelenia Gora, Poland - 25th February 2015
By: aniaiola
I was today in Cieplice with Anna s sister. Anna has a fever so she has to stay at home.
Cieplice it s a very nice part of Jelenia Gora. Cieplice is the oldest spa resort on Polish territory as its origins have faded into the dark mists of history. Throughout history the medicinal qualities if the Cieplice waters in this foothills spa centre have been appreciated by many important and famous personalities. Undoubtedly, the most important guest, along with her entire court, was Queen Maria Kazimiera Sobieska.
The thermal springs have a temperature between 37°C and 87°C and especially from the deepest wells are the hottest of their type in Poland.
That s very interesting place and many people are coming here.
And one more thing :-) Anna promissed me to take me to very beautiful place and I will have many pictures there. Hope she will feel better very soon ...

Jakuszyce, Poland - 1st March 2015
By: aniaiola
If cross-country skiing has a capital in Poland, it is definitely in Jakuszyce. This resort located on the boarder of Karkonosze and Izerskie Mountains is a true paradise for those for whom just skiing downhill is not enough.
Jakuszyce is the highest-located part of Szklarska Poręba, where winter is so much at home, that it usually stays over till late spring. These conditions make Jakuszyce an ideal host for winter sports events, the most important being Bieg Piastów (Piast Race) - the oldest and the biggest skiing event in Poland - which draws in crowds of contestants from all over Poland and abroad. Regardless of whether you are a pro or a first timer, Jakuszce guarantees snow, well-prepared trails and wonderful sporting atmosphere - in short – all the ingredients of an ideal active winter break.
I was so happy to see this place. There was some competitions there, so I was watching. I meet some nice young people who are skiers. They were very nice and they were asking about my travels. I think they loved idea of toyvoyagers :-) We made very funny picture :-)
I meet very funny " animals " too ;-0
Look at my pictures :-)
