My mom has got a nice, very old crib;
We started a puzzle that shows a historical wolrd map. It has 204 pieces and is only 15 x 10 cm , so it is the right measure for us TVs.

Hesse colorful lion or lion is the name of the lion in the arms of Hesse. This name refers to the red-white-striped emblem with the tongue lined in red It's a silver and red nine split lion.
Let me tell you something about myself.
The lion was originally used by the Ludowingern who were also Landgrave of Thuringia. It is still used in Hesse coat of arms. The oldest is the armorial shield Landgrave Conrad of Thuringia († 1240), Regent of England (until 1234) and Master of the Teutonic Order (from 1239), on his tomb in the choir of the Landgrave Elisabeth Church in Marburg.
At the time when he was a Grand Duchy of winning, gold-reinforced, silver and red nine split lion with double tail in the blue shield and brandishing a sword with the right paw. In many of the country's coat of arms he is to be found, and embodies the membership the portal. Either he is or he is completely shown growing (half lion, only upper body).

It is quite boring here, Noisy was down with influenza some days, now she is a little bit better...
So we TVs have to be quiet and have to play alone.
Here are still a lot of TVs, some of them will go on until the next days.
There are Potamus, Stoker,Leopoldi
and Herlinde and Taru.
We have finished a puzzle, that the other TVs have started earlier.
And we played cards, learned some basic facts about Hessen.
We needed a new calendar and got a new orchid.

Stoker and I worked in the kitchen and we made a special hessian thing: "Handkäs mit Musik" -in english: hand cheese with music.
The ingredients
*some rolls of handcheese
*onions
*pepper
*oil
*vinegar
*cumin
We have put this all into a big boul and than we must wait for the next day.
We got a bread fresh from the baker, put some butter and one piece of cheese on it.
Puuuuuh, that was a stinky matter!
But it was soooooo yummi....
P.S. If you don't know why it is called ..."with music", you have to try this, and after that you will find out (it's because of the effect of the many onions )

What a job!
Can you spot us TVs on the last picture? No? Why?

Noisy brought 4 TV to the postoffice in Weilburg, and when she came home there was a big and a small envelope lying in the hall.
The small card was a letter from . She wanted to say THANK YOU to Noisy for the nice Christmas gift she got. And Noisy loves this nice card!
And out of the other envelope crawled Spencer, my new guest from the Big German RR.
Now I have to think, what I can show him from my federal state....
For the first I plan a walk through Weilburg.
And we will get the chance to see a carnival parade here in our village.
Than I can show him the big breeding for St.Bernhards-dogs in Gaudernbach.
But I think we find some more nice places to show Spencer.

Oooooh, I have found a map in the computer that shows my home-farm!
...and my village!
...and the town Weilburg!
2.picture can you spot my farm?
3.picture on the right side is Weilburg and on the left side in the edge is Gaudernbach my home-village :-)
The river you can see is the Lahn. It splits the town and the whole country in Westerwald and Taunus.

Today I teached Spencer hessian language. This is almost spoken by the old men in this area of Germany. It sounds very funny and while teaching we had a lot of fun!
Look and learn some words in hessian, too:

Today we said HELLO to two new TVs.
We have read the story of the rainbowfish- you know, that Spencer has brought a nice postcard with the rainbowfish here-, when Noisy brought us two big envelopes to open.
Mooky was 11 days in his little envelope and really glad to crawl out. He gave us his presents, 2 nice postcards from his home and two little very cute magnets.
And the other TV is Plato from the RR. Noisy is the last station before he will go home again. Perhaps he can tell us a lot of stories while he stays here with us.
