Travelog for: Pitzelpatz

Pitzelpatz went to Motaku, an anime convention, with his host family this weekend! He saw a lot of interesting people roaming the halls. He learned to play some new games in the board game room. He saw lots of fun things, like t-shirts, in the dealer's room. Then, he attended the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Pitzelpatz got just as bored as the kids while waiting for the middle school orchestra meeting to get over with!

Pitzelpatz took a look through host mom's postcrossing collection and liked these three postcards the best!

Today Pitzelpatz went to work in Garnett with host mom, and on the way they stopped to take a look at the ethanol plant. The plant distills corn into ethanol for a gasoline replacement, and the byproduct is used for a high protein cow feed. The plant smells like fresh baked bread.

Another day at the office... Pitzelpatz went to work with host mom and decided to check out the books on her shelf.

Pitzelpatz went on a road trip to one of host mom's very favorite shopping spots: Hancock Fabrics! First, they looked through the pattern books. Then, Pitzelpatz admired some lovely green ribbons. The cart was starting to get full! Pitzelpatz wondered if he could ever figure out how to run a serger machine. He wandered through the craft books, looking for something to learn.

Pitzelpatz was very curious about what host mom was going to do with all the fabric she bought yesterday...

Pitzelpatz wasn't sure if he wanted to get out of the car at the garden because it was so hot today, but he decided he needed to take a closer look at the sunflowers!

Pitzelpatz played with the magnetized maze today. It was quite challenging!

Pitzelpatz took a walk over to the Hillbrant House to see the late summer garden. He heard it's the prettiest  garden in town and... it is, remaining lovely even in late summer.

Pitzelpatz visited the Garnett trail head for the Prairie Spirit trail. He found a beautiful green door!

Pitzelpatz was very excited to go on a road trip to Missouri! He and the host family stayed at a friend's farm, where he met the baby coon hounds! He enjoyed some tasty potato salad at the pot luck.

Pitzelpatz was very thrilled to attend his first hedgehog show. He had fun talking to the hedgehogs. He fit right in with some of the attendees...! The ribbons were lovely.

Pitzelpatz and the other TVs visited the Russel Stover candy factory's gift store today. He found some "blooper" carrots and explored the many colors/flavors of jelly bellies. He was sure glad they bought some chocolate for home!
