I've been exploring some of london and in July was able to get to another concert! This time it was a mini-festival in Victoria Park in London. Here I am enjoying Goldfrapp and then later on the Flaming Lips!

I spent the weekend in bournemouth - on the hen weekend for a friend of my host. Unfortunately i spent most of my time in the hotel or in a bag as I wasn't allowed to see what the girls were getting up to!!

Am pretty excited today - will be flying to Cuba tomorrow! This means I'll be able to complete one of my missions - visiting a tropical island when I spend a few days on Cayo Levisa!!

I arrived in Cuba yesterday! We landed in Havana then drove for an hour or so west into the middle of the countryside to Soroa. Today I'm hiking up the nearby mountain to the mirador. Almost there - as you can see it's a great view!

Explored some more of the area today and walked up to a nearby restaurant Castillo de las nubes. In the background you can see the hotel and its pool!

Cayo Levisa, Cuba - 11th August 2008

After exploring the Cuban countryside I'm now completing one of my life's missions!! We took a boat across to Cayo Levisa a tropical island off the north coast of Cuba. I'll be swinging in a hammock here for the next couple of days. It's a hard life!

Arrived in Havana yesterday and found that the Buena Vista Social Club were playing at one of the famous hotels in Havana - the Nacional. Here I am in the 1930 ballroom with the band playing in the background

Havana is like a vintage car museum - it's full of 1950s cars that are being kept going and driven around. I managed to catch a ride on this Chevrolet
