Bad Homburg, Germany - 13th November 2013
By: Susie's
Moin Mum,
since the sun was shining for once, host mum took me and Palugtag for a walk in Bad Homburg and showed us the ruins of a roman mansion called Villa Ober Eschbach.
I really enjoy spending time with another TV.

Vienna, Austria - 20th November 2013
By: Djali
Hello Mommy!
I've finally arrived in Vienna after some loooong days in the dark envelope!
After my host mum Djali/Marion got home from work I could finally get out!
As soon, as I was out of my transporter I go inspected by her black cat. A bit scary, but I think we will get along quite well. And maybe I'll also meet her other furry friend: Krümel the hamster - but he is still asleep at the moment.
Djali then showed me what she will do at this rainy cold evening: taking a good book and reading! Good choice I think!
So, good night for today!

Zoo, Vienna, Austria - 29th December 2013
By: Djali
Hello Mum!
I hope, you have a nice Sunday! I enjoyed mine so far :-) This morning my hostmum, a friend of her with her little child went to the Zoo
We got to see lots of animals there, even though many of them hid away in the warm stables instead of being outside.
The Zoo in Vienna is one of the oldest zoos in Europe and at the same time of of the most modern zoo. It's really big and pretty! The zoo is right next to the palace Schönbrunn. During the time of the Habsburgian emperors it was even a part of the palace park.
The big rhino was the first animal we saw:
The little boy child of her friend loves all big animals, so we got to see the bisons and the tiger next:
When we started to get cold, we visited the rainforest house. In there it's nice warm with a really humid air. That's why the picture is so foggy
Is was a bit scarred of this big snake, but as it is behind glass it was ok for me.
At the end we visited two very different kinds of birds: Penguins and flamingos. I like the flamingos best because they have the same color as I do

In summer, a baby panda bear was born in the zoo - something that is rather extraordinary. And it's already the second panda baby they got here in Vienna! But unfortunately, the panda house was closed, so we couldn't try to get a glimpse of the baby panda. So we took a picture of the statue instead:
This colorfull bike is the hero of a series of childrens detective stories written by Thomas Brezina, an austrian author. The bike is called Tom Turbo. In the stories, the headquarter of the detectives is under the zoo - that's why they got a statue here in one of the cages:
Have a nice day!
