Travelog for: Kuma

Miskolc, Hungary - 20th August 2007

By: Szandra

We visited the park of Miskolc-Tapolca. This is the area where Szandra live, and the park is very near to their house.
I saw a lot of ducks and 2 cygnets. Now, there were a lot of tourists, but Szandra told that in autumn and winter time everything is so quiet there.

Budapest, Hungary - 23rd August 2007

By: Szandra

We made a trip to Budapest by train, and spent 2 days there.
As you see, we made a lot of pics!!!
At first Szandra showed us the Heroes square and than the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. Finally we visited the Castle of Vajdahunyad. When we arrived to the Parliament, the camera went wrong.:( But maybe we'll go back there next week!

Budapest, Hungary - 1st September 2007

By: Szandra

I often spent some days in Budapest because Szandra have to go there several times a week. And when she left me at the flat, I wanted to surprise her and cut the grass with the lawnmower!

And also realised that I can see the Citadella from the terrace. Unfrotunately it looks very small on the pic...
Here is a short text about it:

The Citadella is situated at the top of Gellért Hill, the most beautiful location of Budapest . It was erected in 1854 by the Habsburgs, after the suppression of the 1848-49 Hungarian revolution and war of independence.
The Gellért Hill along with the Castle District and the panorama of the banks of the Danube was adopted as World Heritage in 1987.

Cologne, Germany - 8th September 2007

By: Tine1969

Hi, here's calling Kuma again - my host told me today that I have to write my travelog alone - what a pity...

But of course I will do it - as a young and strong blue bear I can do all my hosts want me to do :) !!!

First started our Cologne trip at a small park near the Cologne University.

Then we walked to the main building of the university, where my host had studied some years ago. She took photos of Albertus Magnus monument with Baby and me - the university is named after this person. Here's one picture

Then we went to the Cologne Cathedral, which is more than huge. It was really difficult to take a photo of me and the whole cathedral.

Later we went to the river Rhine.

http://www.harambee.de/postcrossing/Kuma9.jpg

and I also saw the church "Groß St. Martin" and a special kind of well named the "Leprechaun well".
