Travelog for: Teuksoon

Hi everyone... My name is Teuksoon aka Teukie.  Here is a picture of me with my best buddy, Mukhsin. Today I am on my way to my first host. I can't wait to see what's waiting for me. You'll hear from me again when I have arrived.

Hi! 

Today I arrived safe and sound in San Diego!  It's warm here and there are two other TV's here already, Pizoni and HolgiHH.  Plus Nancy's mother and cute dog, Mitzi.  Mitzi is very playful!

The first photo is of me arriving and the second is where we TV's hang out with a toy that looks like Mitzi.

We're looking forward to a trip to Las Vegas in a little over a week from now.

It was such a nice, warm day today so we piled into the car and went to the beach! 

We went to Ocean Beach where Nancy has gone all her life.  That's the OB pier in the background where there were lots of surfers.  The water is too cold for us to go into though.

But we had a great day and hope you did too!

We went east in San Diego where we visited Mission Trails Regional Park.  This is the largest urban park in the country at 6000 acres and shows the natural habitat of San Diego. 

Nancy ran the annual photo contest here for 10 years; it's a good place to take photos!

We visited the San Diego river which is very small as this is a very dry place, some people don't even know that there is a San Diego river!  In 1813 Spanish priest, Father Junipero Serra, had the local Indians build a dam on the river for water for his new mission.  The first two photos were taken at the dam.  The other two show the natural habitat.

It was hot, almost 90 degrees F, in October!  This is not uncommon in San Diego, as they often get hot, dry winds off of the desert in the east.  This is the season that there have been terrible wildfires over the whole county in past years.

We all arrived in Las Vegas:  the two Nancys, HolgiHH, Pisoni and me! 

The first night we stayed at the Palazzo which is part of the Venetian.  Then we moved to the Wynn next door the next night.  The Nancys had visited the Wynn's casino last year and were looking forward to staying there one day.  It was even nicer than they expected.

The room was on the 33rd floor and had a huge window looking towards the mountains.  Everything on our floor and room was cream and salmon colored which was very pretty.

Here are some photos of the hotels and the inside of the Wynn; they have beautiful flowers, plants and mosaic floors

On Sunday we took a road trip out of town and look what we got to do!!

A man drove up in this beautiful Pink Cadillac and let us sit in it!

First, I forgot to show the photo of us in our nice bed at the Palazzo.  We love these fancy hotels!

The rest of the photos are on our road trip to the Red Rocks National Park right outside of Las Vegas.  The weather at night is cool and only in the 70's during the day.  We all thought it would still be in the 80's so it wasn't real good weather to go to the pool. 

But it was good hiking weather.  We spent about five hours driving and taking hikes in various parts of the park.  It was a good day!

Entering the park we saw a sign about horses and burros in the park so I was excited - maybe I'd see a burro in person!  Well the closest we came was to a sign, you can barely see me at the bottom of this big sign.

From the other photos you can see why it's called Red Rocks Park!

The last photo shows the last part of the park that we visited.  It was a natural meadow with pink rocks.  It was so pretty!

Monday we stayed in the casinos because it was only in the low 60's and way too cold for the pool, sadly.  But we had a fun time in Las Vegas!

We had a fun Halloween in San Diego.  Here's a photo of us with some Halloween stuff.

Well, it was a sad day today as we said goodbye to HolgiHH.  Although he didn't go very far away - just to a family in another part of San Diego.  It was fun to meet another TV host though.

So to cheer us up Nancy took us to see the San Diego Trolley.  It was a beautiful sunny day today.

Today we had to say a sad goodbye to Pisoni as he left to go back to Spain.

I'm the only TV here for the moment, hopefully another one will arrive soon!

Teuki helped me with my gift wrapping before we took the gifts and him off to the post office.  He's not going too far away, staying in California.

He had fun in San Diego but was looking forward to a new place.

Today I arrived at my new host's home: I was an early Christmas present for Velvet !!!

Velvet couldn't wait to see what was in this mystery envelop ...


What could it be ???


Velvet was really happy: "Oh !!! Look, look, look ... it's a little visitor ... Yahoohoo !!! "


Getting to know each other: a lot to say ... Velvet is a TV but she will not travel like me or Eebee ...


Sharing milk and Oreo cookies makes for becoming best friends ... I was ready to dive in with the cookie ... Splash, Splash, Splash :-)

The day after my arrival and a great evening/night talking with Velvet, I got to meet everybody ... !!!

I got a little scared when I turned around and the first one I saw was a BIG furry black and white cat: Osky  But Velvet was quick to reassure me that this BIG fluffy one was no danger at all 


He sure look like he was ready to have me for breakfast 


Meeting all the plushes: FatChick, KevyPooh, Snowy, Wooly, Pokey and BoydBear.




Then I got a big surprise ... Duckies !!!  A Whole family of them ... I sure feet right in

I sure am a HAPPY camper 

Today we are going to visit San Francisco with the host's family. Velvet and I are ready ... all tucked in the bag ...

We walked on the bridge: wow !!! what a view !!! ...

It's just amazing !!! ... SO, SO ... hight !!! ...


South entrance of the bridge with the toll plaza behind us ... 5$ going south on 101 entering the City, cash or FastTrak, NO credit/debit cards ... Bunnies and duckies go free: hihihi ... hehehe ... hahaha ... :-)

... Seafood heaven !!! ... We can smell crab 4 blocks away ... goes nice with the smell of the sea nearby ... We are at Fisherman Wharf ...


At Pier 39: one of the main landmarks in San Francisco ... everyone want to see the sea lions ... They love to bask and sleep in the sun !!! ... They weigh thousands of pounds ... They could eat us both in one bite ... Thanks goodness they are far over there !!!

In the far background on the top on the hill, the Coit Tower: shaped like the end of a fire hose ... in tribute to the firefighters that fought the fire during the 1908 Big Earthquake which set the whole city on fire ...


To finish the day, the Family went to see "OVO" by Cirque Du Soleil ... simply breathtaking !!! ...
