Sorrento, Italy - 30th September 2007

By: Chris & David

I have started my worldly travels with Chris and David by visiting Sorrento in Italy. We were joined by Chris' sister Cardy and her husband Martyn.

You will see from the pictures that we climbed Vesuvius and visited Pompei, Herculaneum, Capri and the Amalfi coast.

I am looking at the icecream in David's in Sorrento. This is supposed to be one of the best icecream shops in the world.  :p

I was excited to turn left when we got on the plane home but sadly First Class didn't exist!

Kolne (Cologne), Germany - 5th December 2007

By: Chris & David

Chris and David took me to Cologne for four days to visit the Christmas markets. There were six altogether and we went to five of them.
We also visited some art galleries and museums.
One of the best bits was having coffee and cakes in the Cafe Reichard which was very posh.
We also went to the 4711 Eau de Cologne shop.
The last picture shows me looking at Cologne Cathedral

New York, USA - 20th December 2007

By: Chris & David

I have just got back from visiting New York with Jez & his family for a little bit of Christmas shopping. Jez is one of David's workmates and his children, Imogen and Jack, looked after me.
One of the things we did was to go up the Empire State Building and there are three pictures of me up there. It was very windy and I nearly got blown away.

Great Malvern, England - 22nd December 2007

By: Chris & David

I went to work with David today and Sue Pollard came into the store as a customer. She is a comedy actress who is very well known in the UK especially by those who remember the t v series called Hi-de-hi.
Sue kindly agreed to have her picture taken with me so here it is.
It was fun to meet her and I think I'm going to try and meet lots more famous people so I owe her a great many thanks.

Great Malvern, UK - 26th December 2007

By: Chris & David

Christmas in Great Malvern was fun with lots of Chris & David's family coming to visit. We had a lovely dinner on Christmas Day complete with a flaming Christmas pudding. I must admit that there was something vaguely familiar  about one bit of the dinner but I couldn't quite place it! :stare:

Antigua, Antigua & Barbuda - 19th January 2008

By: Chris & David

We stayed at a very nice place called Sandals. It was really posh and I had a lovely time.
You can see from the photographs what a lovely time I had.
By the way ... I found out that too many cocktails can give you a headache!

Prague, Czech Republic - 28th January 2008

By: Chris & David

Today I had to get up at the crack of sparrows and drive to Birmingham Airport to catch a flight to Prague. It was a boring flight because all I could see from the plane window were clouds.
We were in a quite nice hotel and we went for a nice walk although it was dank and miserable and not really photograph weather.

Prague, Czech Republic - 29th January 2008

By: Chris & David

Today we set off from our hotel to explore a bit of Prague. We headed through the Little Quarter and made our way up to the Kralovsky Palace. We got there just before 12.00 so we were able to watch the changing of the guard. Lots of fanfares sounded from windows in the palace and pretty toy soldiers looked like the chorus from an opera about Ruritania. After that we explored the castle and St Vitus Cathedral, both of which were very interesting. It was also nice to look out over the rooftops of Prague. It was just a shame that the weather wasn't too good and it was very hazy.

Prague, Czech Republic - 29th January 2008

By: Chris & David

As we walked down towards the Old Town and the Charles Bridge we stopped and had a beer in the oldest bar in Prague. It has been serving beer since 1475. The first picture shows me inside the bar whilst in the second one of the outside of the building you can just see me sitting on the windowsill.
