Travelog for: NormaNikkers

NormaNikkers is a wondering gnome.  Although she likes to wonder at will she also likes to have a certain itinerary to follow when going international.
She travels light and does not have a journal and she weighs very little. 
NormaNikkers is an odd girl to say the least.  She is not plush and huggy nor cute and cuddly.  She is just ---  A Gnome!

NormaNikkers would only like her photo with family members of her kind.  Gnomes, elves, sprites, pixies, hobbits, nymphs, fairies and others who might go by different names in other countries.  Please try to avoid human photos.

NormaNikkers would also like photos of herself in front of the sign to your city or country which shows she has been there. 
Nothing more.

She is easily entertained by having only these requests and then wants to travel on.  She does not have to stay the whole month unless you want her to. 
If others on a trail are available before the month is out then please send her to the next person on her agenda.

NormaNikkers will travel the Russian Trail on her first voyage and then is looking to visit others along a trail or other hosts who would like to entertain her for a short while.

The West Wind brought her far far away from home - to the largest city of the largest country. What is waiting her here?

Norma was more that surprised to see so many cars at one place. She heard that Moscow is full of cars. It's more than typical here. She has to remember this local colour.





Do you think that's a common building? Nothing of the kind! The gnome now knows that it's the building of the famouse KGB. Looks terrible.



What more is there on the road? A gnome just never knows.

Norma supposes clothes is a very typical thing - she made a shot to remember old Russian beautiful clothes.

Very important shots indeed! Where is she going next? What is waiting for her? Will she visit these places once more? A Gnome just never knows.

Somebody is coming, somebody is leaving, everybody is moving, everything is changing.

NormaNikkers is travelling to Miss_Nadine in Krasnodar. More adventures, more places, more friends. What exactly? A Gnome just never knows.

Today NormaNikkers arrived in Krasnodar and was very busy, exploring this mistery Russian city. She hasn't yet succeed in meeting any gnome or elf, but who knows! may be she'll get lucky really soon. By now, she decided to observe this statue - the monument of 200th anniversary of Krasnodar.

NormaNikkers discovered that Krasnodar was founded in 1793 and at first was named Ekaterinodar after Russian imperatrice. Then it was renamed by communists into Krasnodar, which means "The gift of red army".

Very strange of that city - first to be a gift of Imperatrice, and then - to be a gift of Red army...But history is like a spider web sometimes - very hard to get through.

Normanikkers has visited the main Krasnodar Cathedral and here is a shot -

The sun is really bright. Gnomes love shining.

Near the Saint Ekaterine's Cathedral she found a mistery little house. It was a place, where the believers can get Saint water. How is it made? Why is it healing? Gnomes hardly know...But NormaNikkers's heard already, that the water can change its structure, if you say bad things to it or if you say really positive words. In the case of Saint water lots of people pray for the health and that can be really helpful.

NormaNikkers tries to stay positive every time and keeps smiling no matter what.

Today NormaNikkers was kindly invited at the teddy bears' picnic. There were lots of stuffed guests, she was the only gnome. And there was even a little bottle of vodka, but nobody was brave enough to open it...

Today NormaNikkers was lucky to meet other fairy creatures.

Like this blue angel. His name is Singing Heart and he's got really cool wings with tatoos of music notes...


On the bookshelf she met another stranger  it was a gnome Pishichitay (His name can be translated into English as Write and read). He looks very curious.

And...the last surprise was waiting NormaNikkers on the kitchen. There she met the guard of Russian houses - Domovoy - a cute creature, that lives near warm places and likes to sleep in valenki - northern russia ancient boots...

Today NormaNikkers found a mystery  musical instrument - vargan. It is used by shamans, when they call the spirits...woooo...To play on it, u have to put it between ur lips and teeth. The sound it produces is really magic and it can be really useful for relaxation. The one, that NormaNikkers found in Miss_Nadine's house came from Altay, in Siberia.

During her stay in Krasnodar NormaNikkers has seen lots of strange objects, even old tanks, old casques from World War II, spoons, from which ate people, who were conquering for the peace on our planet, visited Dolls' exhibition and met lots of dolls in the traditional dresses. She  also met a wooden man Pechkin, she took picture with some fountains which looked for her like waterfalls, visited Gnome castle, she tasted a huge ice-cream, and so an old oak tree, which is 560 years old! That's all quite amazing, but it's time to move on to Novosibirsk, to her next host Oksana She is going to take this trip with another TV - Donald. Hope she'll meet lots of strange objects and people.
