Orange, New South Wales, Australia - 14th May 2008
By: sararingham
Hello! I'm Skippy Kangaroo and I'm a rescued toyvoyager. I was rescued today from the Salvation Army. Sara then brought me home and cleaned me up, and now I'm ready to travel. I'm quite excited. I've been told I'm staying within Australia for my first stop, then we're not quite sure where I'll go from there. Here's a picture of me:
Aren't I cute? It's amazing one day I was fine and playing with my last owners, then I got bagged up and tossed in a whole bunch of other toys, who would have known? Thankfully I was sitting there long before Sara picked me up and gave me a new home. But I'm very excited to start my travels. I wonder what I'll see and do in Queensland!

Lawnton, Qld, Australia - 17th May 2008

I arrived in Queensland today and will be spending a few weeks with my new hosts.
As soon as I escaped from the padded postbag, I wanted to explore this strange new place, so I bounced up stairs to the deck and watched the last rays of the sunset with Harrison.
There's another furry creature here, Bella. She's a maltese shih-tzu cross doggie, who tells me she's very glad I am here. Apparently, Bella was getting tired of being the smallest animal in the house, and told me that it's my turn to get picked up and hugged by Lilly all the time.
"I try to look pleased when Lilly picks me up all the time", Bella confided to me, "but sometimes I find myself muttering 'Oh no, not again!'".
I heard some possums chattering outside last night while everyone else was asleep. Bella tells me the local possums are very naughty, and have a party every night outside her room. She yips at them but they just call her names and laugh at her.
Today, we're all going geocaching. I promise I'll show you some photos when we get back. Neilius tells me he's going to try to introduce me to a travel bug, so that we can talk about our adventures.
I'm so glad Sara rescued me from the Salvo's!
Who would have thought I'd be a jetsetting little toy with so many people who love me!

Redcliffe & Northlakes, Australia - 17th May 2008

We went Birdwatching and Geocaching today!
Well, Neilius calls our first visit "Birdwatching", but I know the real story. No one could find the Geocache. They all crawled around on their hands and knees in the bushes for half an hour while I watched the birds and Bella (smart little doggie that she is) took some photos of me.
In the end, Liz told Neil that he had to go, so rather than call it a "failed Geocache hunt" he called it "Birdwatching". Even though I was the only one looking at the lovely birds. And there are heaps of them on this wonderful suburban lake at Northlakes.
The next stop was at Clontarf - a small suburb of Redcliffe.
Neilius and his family must be mad! They were counting bolts on drink fountains and park signs, and recording numbers on lamp posts. They plugged all the numbers into a GPS, and BANG!!! out popped some co-ordinates where we found a small container full of goodies in the middle of the bush.
This family I am staying with is a little bit strange. But Bella tells me that despite that, they are a lot of fun and that I will eventually grow to love them.

Murrumba Downs, Australia - 29th June 2008
By: Neilius
We went geocaching again today at a lovely lake in Murrumba Downs.
Being a mum, Liz is an expert at finding things. People in this house are losing things all the time....
"Mum, where's my shoes?"
"LIZ, have you seen my car keys???"
"Where's the dog got to?".
So... it comes as no surprise that when it comes to finding geocaches, Liz is not just a pretty face. She found it in a matter of seconds!

Petrie, Australia - 29th June 2008
By: Neilius
After we found a total of four geocaches this afternoon, we went to play at Sweeney Reserve at Petrie.
We played in the off-leash dog area.
Being part canine, the boys quickly disappeared to kick balls, run around and get sweatty.
But the girls (Liz, Lilly and Bella) took me aside for a quick glamour shot.

Today we didn't have very nice weather, so most of the time I played with the two pet rats, Billy and Pali. They were really friendly. Pali gave me a big welcome hug!

Miskolc, Hungary - 26th September 2008
By: Szandra
We ate Hungarian goulash soup for dinner. When I first tasted, it was toooo hot! Hungarians love using a lot of spices ans chilli. But for the end of the dinner, I felt, I really love this food!!!
Than, I wanted to see where does the green paprika grow!
After dinner I always love to eat some sweets, now I chose something healthy, I pecked at some grapes. As a little exercise I was walking round the garden and take a look at everything!!! And said hello to the rabbits!
Finally lillebi helped me to collect some nuts. Aren't we sedulous?!

Budapest, Hungary - 28th September 2008
By: Szandra
We had a lot of funny experiences in the last few days and now I show you some photos that we made in the Buda Castle. We have much more pictures, but those are in an other computer that I can't use now... But Szandra promised me to help uploading them on Thursday.
I heard a lot of things about the Buda Castle while we were walking there. I tell you a little about it too!
This was the residence of Hungarian kings.
The fortification system and palace, built in the 13th century and being renewed from time to time symbolizes the country itself.
We saw there also the Mathias Church, which was the coronation church of Hungarian kings since King Matthias.
And we had a nice view from the wall of the castle.
Lillebi, another toyvoyager is also with us, I enjoy playing with her and it's funnier that we can go for sigh seeing together!

Dublin, Ireland - 4th October 2008
By: Szandra
I have a lot of things to tell you and naturally a lot of photos to show... Where to start...
We travelled with Szandra to Scotland!!! But as we had to fly to Dublin at first and the same on our way back home, we had a little time for a sight seeing there.
Let's see some photos that we made during flying to Dublin and at night in the hotel room. This day we didn't have time to go to the city center.
