Alkmaar, the Netherlands - 29th April 2008

Hello everyone!
My friend Pip and i decided to go on trail because we wanna spread joy and happiness all over the world.
We are caracters from a story for children here in Holland.
The woman who brings us to life is Guusje Nederhorst. For many years Guusje played in a soap called "Goede tijden slechte tijden'' (good times bad times).
In 2002 she discovered her real passion: writing stories for children. That was the beginning of Woezel and Pip. Two inseparable dogs who experience funny and sometimes naughty adventures.
The little novels are a big hit here in Holland.
Unfortunally Guusje never had the change to see how many children enjoy the adventures of Woezel and Pip. She got breast cancer and died in 2004. Her husband set up the Guusje Nederhorst foundation as a memory for her creative, headstrong and brave personality.
You can imagine this is a great opportunity for me to have a lot more adventures. Pip and i decided to each go our own way. When we come home we can tell each other our adventures. How great is that!
Here we are at home and talk to the TV's who are visiting Eva right now. It was great to hear their stories!
Here we are sitting in the book closet. Eva has many stories for children so it's always a pleasure to be here and read those novels.
And this is Pip (left one) and me (right one).
I can't wait to start my journey!
Big hugs Woezel (and Pip)

Tallinn, Estonia - 12th May 2008
By: MarionJ
Helloo everyone!
I'm finally here in Tallinn, my first adventure has begun!
The white envelope was luckily so soft and cosy
The first estonian I met was Stuart the Lion who's just about to leave home for the first time too. From the moment I got out of the envelope he started asking sooo many questions! He talks very much
Well, I'm a bit sleepy now so I'd better get some rest.
I can't wait for tomorrow, to see what it's like outside!
Yours,
Woezel.
Woof!

Tallinn, Estonia - 16th May 2008
By: MarionJ
Hey!
The weather is nice still, but a bit windy. I'm sure it'll get warmer again, like always
Yesterday (15.05) was the annual Tallinn Day and we went to see many concerts that were held on the Raekoja plats (City hall square)
We also had a look around the center of the town.
Here I'm in the new shopping area near the harbour (we'll visit it later, my host told me), it's called the Rotermann district. (They are still building a part of it so it'll get bigger in some time)
And on my way down
Here I am in the Old Town again, behind me is the Niguliste church, which interior is one of the most beautiful in Estonia (unfortunately they didn't allow any dogs.. but we'll try again)
Ok, so here is the Nõelasilma käik - the Needle eye passage - which was opened last summer. They dug it up again and restored it the way it was before the II WW.
They also have a short movie there which you can watch - it's about the street where the passage is.
Then we went to the Youth and Puppet Theatre
In the Old Town the streets are usually like this (well, like in many european cities)
Okay! Here you have many pictures of me and Tallinn already
But still there's much to see, also in the Old Town. So we'll visit it again many times (my host lives only a 15-minute walk away from it and she likes to walk ).
I can't wait to check out Pip's travels! So now I'll go and look them up, hehe.
Wooof!

Tartu, Estonia - 24th June 2008
By: MarionJ
Ahoy, to all of you around the world!
My host has been really busy organizing some camps for youngsters, so we haven't had much time to go around. But we were in Tartu which is the second biggest city in Estonia. It's also in the south of the country and the busride takes about 2,25 hours, so not very much. Luckily Estonia is quite small When the bus drove from Tallinn to Tartu, all I could see on the way were forests! Forests and fields and small houses. Every once in a while a smaller town and some gas stations, but nothing more. Everywhere was green!
It rained all the time there! As I heard from the news, apparently it rains almost everywhere in Europe right now.
This is the pedestrian bridge in Tartu
The river of Emajõgi (Mother's river) runs through Tartu. Actually there's two of them, the Small and the Big one, the big one goes through the city.
The pig that stands in front of the old market house (which still works), with Veggies and Chester
This is the town hall and the town square in Tartu
In front of it is the famous statue of kissing students.
Also a funny house, built like that, crooked or what's the word. But it's like that only from the outside, inside the floors are in level with the normal ground.
We are resting here, Chester and Veggies too
The University of Tartu, the most famous and oldest one here
And the theater Vanemuine. Estonian people go to theater all the time, the tickets are sold out in the first days.
