My name is TenderheartBear that was my name as a larger Care Bear now I'm a much smaller version and I'm ready to see the world! I'd love to learn more about the world and see the beautiful things that the world gives us. There's so much hatred and there's no where near as much love in the world as there should be and I'd like to show people the beautiful parts of the world.
Especially my mentor, she seems to be going through a very hard time in her life and I'd love to show her that the world is more beautiful than she can imagine. Would you like to show me and my mentor? I'd love that! Just contact Sara and she'll have me pay a visit to you as well! I'm going to be off traveling very soon, I hope the traveling won't take too long as I'm quite excited about getting off and seeing the world!
Talk again soon mom, I can't wait to write again!

Singapore, Singapore - 17th June 2008
By: mupplet
Hi - I just arrived in Singapore - which is very warm and humid. I was sitting in the mailbox when my host came home from work. It was quite dark in the mailbox but comfortable as I was sitting on some wedding invitation replies !!
I am just taking some time to look around. There are lots of rooms in this house and it would take weeks to explore. I'm just aclimatising before I go much further.
There is lots of wildlife in the indoor garden - which I can see from my perch on the kitchen table. There are birds during the day, baby frogs, koi carp, and in the evening frogs, lizards and lots of bats.
I will be visiting the beach and the jungle this week !! Hurray.
I also get to see wild animals everyday which is pretty cool

my host gets in - so early - we had to turn the lights one !!

A Spirit House, Singapore - 21st June 2008
By: mupplet
We are checking out the spirit house in my hosts garden. It was bought from Bangkok Thailand - unfortunately it is in the shade of the main house
Thai people believe that there are guardian spirits for different buildings or areas of land. These spirits are wandering spirits that can cause harm or suffering unless gifts are offered to them frequently. It is believed that they influence the future, grant wishes and keep people healthy. The spirit of the land expects to be informed if a building is to be built or extended, or a business started. If the humans do not ask permission, the spirit may cause the venture to fail.
There are nine guardian spirits, each offering a different type of protection. The guardian spirit of houses is called Phra Chaimongkhon (say prah chigh-mong-kon) and is a very powerful spirit. The guardian spirit of gardens and orchards is Phra Than Thirat (say prah tan ti-rat). These two are the only ones to have permanent spirit houses built for them.
Outside each building, big or small, there is a spirit house where the spirits of the house or building live. There are spirit houses near restaurants, caves, and forests and even cities. Most ordinary spirit houses are about the size of a large bird cage standing on a pedestal, though some big buildings have very large and fancy walk-through spirit houses.
A spirit house must not be in the shade of the main building.
The inside of the spirit house is decorated with figurines representing the spirits, holding a sword and a book.
There are usually figures of servants and elephants.
Each day people place flowers, incense and food as offerings to the spirits to keep them in good humour.
An old or damaged spirit house must not be thrown away, but must be placed where other spirits will watch over it, at the foot of a sacred banyan tree or at a wat .
There is even a large spirit house for the whole of Bangkok (the white and gold multi-roofed building left). Once a year the king places offerings in it to ensure continued good fortune for the city.

Alton Tower, UK - 31st July 2008
By: mupplet
Once we arrived in Heathrow (at 5am !!) we went to the BA arrivals lounge, had some breakfast and my host had a facial. Her fiance picked us up at 7am, and we went to see his grandad who lives in Stafford. We were so early, my host suggested we went to Alton Towers. This is one of the rides I went on !!!! We then went all the way to Leeds the next day, then back to London the next day and then to Bournemouth

Bournemouth, UK - 1st August 2008
By: clgeorge
I've arrived in the UK - and spent the weekend in Bournemouth on the south coast. It was my host's hen weekend and I had a lot of fun although I was kept in a bag most of the time as I wasn't allowed to see the things they were getting up to!!
I'm pretty excited today as I've been handed over to a new host and tomorrow I'll be flying to Cuba!

I arrived in Cuba yesterday! After landing in Havana we drove west for an hour or so to the Cuban countryside. I'll be staying in Soroa for the next few days. Today I'm hiking up the nearby mountain to the mirador view point at the top!
