Hello Mum!
I've arrived safely in Minnesota, USA!
Suddenly, I find myself surrounded by other ToyVoyagers who are all ready to make friends. Hello everyone! Pleased to meet you!



This is Shaunee and Priscilla.


And here we all are with Okuma and Noodles.



My first outing in this strange new place was with my new host to the quilt shop. It was so pretty! 

I even helped sew a bit. Hee hee hee!

Good morning! We woke up early to take a bicycle trip! We are going to see how far we can travel through the Elm Creek Park Reserve. My host tells me it is beautiful~!

Let's hop on our bike and go! 



Whoa! I'm not so good at this whole "steering" thing.

We found a cool place where all the birds can safely live.  ...... But where are they?......


Whew! What an exhausting ride!

We went for a drive to go get some refreshing icecream!

Hi Mum!

Today we set off on an adventure! First, we met up with another host in the area: Chloe09 and her TVs: Danko and Lilla. Pleased to meet everyone! 



We all piled in the car, and were on our way quickly to downtown Minneapolis.



We saw the famous Target Field. There's a Twins baseball game playing today, so there are lots of people out and about. 







We passed by part of the University of Minnesota Campus, too!


Whew! Finally we have arrived. We are visiting the Como Zoo! 




I wonder what's down this exhibit....?



MOMMY! MOMMY! They have real penguins here! OH MY! Hello, my relatives! I have completed one of my Life Missions. Hooray~! 



Here's a gorilla. Golly he's big!


We stopped at this local diner called "Snuffy's" for lunch. We all shared one of their infamous Chocolate Malts. Yummy! 



We saw some passenger trains too. We stopped at Amtrak to run an errand.









We even got to view the Mississippi River as we were going by. How thrilling! 






It's been a very fun-filled day already, but there was one last stop my host wanted to take.......

We decided to watch a movie.
What should we watch?



Any of these? I think Spongebob Squarepants sounds funny!



We decided on "Pocahontas".



Shaunee and I are sharing a big bowl of cereal.



These Chocolate Cheerios are strangely addicting!



We visited a lake today~! I'm glad we got to be out in the lovely sunshine. 



Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 lakes".



We stopped at Taco Bell for lunch, and we all shared a combo pack.

We're heading out on a trip~!

We woke up early to get a head start on traffic. We got buckled in for a three hour car ride to Duluth, Minnesota. I hear it's a beautiful city!



I was made "Keeper of the snacks"!



Almost there!



We stopped at a Rest Stop to get directions and eat a bite. The view was spectacular! 





We used 50cents to view the city from this strange contraption!



Alright! Back in the car.





Finally we arrived! Our first stop was to Canal Park. They have lots of outdoor shops and sights to walk around.



I found a cool fountain! It sure is hot out today~!





We went right up close to the famous Lift Bridge. 





Whoa! It sure is windy down here by the water! 





This map shows all the ports and where all the famous sunken ships are located. I thought that was pretty neat.



My host rented a funny bicycle contraption to ride us all down the pier. It was jolly good fun! 



We all rode in the front basket because there was such a large number of us Toy Voyagers together!





Shaunee and I walked up the platform to the lighthouse at the end of the pier. None of the others were brave like me! 
It was WAY up high, but had a spectacular view!









We all took a group photo here and I think it turned out real nice.





One last look: Oh no! I'm flying away in the wind! :O
.....Wait! I don't know how to fly~! Help!



We're getting back in the car now to drive another hour to Camp. My host tells me we'll be having fun at the beach! Hooray!

We're here at the beach! 





I've got a great spot for suntanning! 





I helped create this gorgeous sand castle~! It looks like the perfect palace for me. Too bad it won't last..... 



My host took me out in this Kayak. She said a penguin should be out on the lake. I agreed wholeheartedly and we sailed out.









We stayed at the beach as much as we could this whole past week. Aren't vacations great? 

Hey--- guess what we won at the amusement park today? We had to squish it into the backseat of host mom's car.



Us toyvoyagers didn't get to ride any rides today (because we took little ones along and it was much too hectic), but we got to see the coolest prize! We finally got it home......

Host mom named him Turk from the movie "Tarzan".

Today we went to the Mall of America!
It's a HUGE indoor shopping mall~. It even holds it's own amusement park, movie theater, and wedding chapel!

We first stopped by the information booth.





Here's the indoor amusement park: Nickelodeon Universe.

This is the arena where they hold all sorts of events..... empty right now.





I found another fountain~! ^-^



We had lunch at Panda Express. Yummy.

We need caffeine......

Everyone loves penguins here! I even found a penguin buddy at this shop.



We found this poster right as we were leaving..... I sure would have loved to go see this exhibit!

Hi mummy,

today I arrived in Austria and cute triceratops welcomed us. Her name is Trixi and she is our tour guide. In the next few weeks she will show us Vienna. I’m so exciting. I also meet new friends.



Bibi is the white mouse, the tigercat is called Sylvia and the name of the sheep is Lilly.

today we started our tour and we visited the “Ringstraße” (a big circular road with famous buildings).  We named our group TVTV (Toy Voyagers Tour through Vienna). We drove with the subway to the town hall (Rathaus).







Trixi told us that the “Rathaus” was designed by Friedrich von Schmidt in the Gothic style. Facing the “Rathaus” is the “Rathauspark” with a huge place. Through the whole year the place is used for celebrations and events.



Afterwards we had a little break at the drinking fountain. Trixi said that water from Vienna comes from two mountain spring water pipelines and it has a very good water quality.



Then we saw the Austrian Parliament Building, which was build from 1874-1883. The architect responsible for the building in a Greek revival style was Theophil Edvard Hansen.





Trixi liked the statue of Pallas Athena.



During our walk over the “Ringstraße” we visited Museum of Natural History of Vienna and Museum of Art History. The two buildings were opened in 1891 by Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria-Hungary. The two Ringstraße museums were commissioned by the Emperor in order to find a suitable shelter for the Habsburgs' formidable art collection and to make it accessible to the general public.







After them we went to the “Hofburg Palace”. It is a palace that has housed some of the most powerful people in European and Austrian history. It currently serves as the official residence of the President of Austria.



Next we visited the “Burggarten” behind the “Hofburg Palace”. We saw the famous “Mozart Monument”. 



Last but not least we made a break at the hotel “Sacher” and eat “Sacher Torte” (chocolate cake).  It is one of the most famous Viennese culinary specialties.

Yesterday our hosts told us they needed help to look for a new desk for them. Naturally we all wanted to help. So we drove to an “Ikea”.



We looked and measure some desks. After long thinking our hosts made a choice.



Afterwards we had a break at the canteen.



Then we helped to bring the new desk to the car.

today we visited Belvedere, which is a historical building complex.









It consists two Baroque palaces the Upper and Lower Belvedere, the Orangery, and the Palace Stables. The buildings are set in a Baroque park landscape. The Baroque palace complex was built as a summer residence for Prince Eugene of Savoy.



Afterwards we went to the botanical garden near Belvedere. It contains to university of Vienna. Trixi told us that a botanical garden is a well-tended area displaying a wide range of plants labeled with their botanical names.
We studied some cacti and learned few botanical names.



There were so beautiful flowers, it was lovely.

Hi mummy,
last week we visited “Schönbrunn Palace”.



First Trixie showed us the garden behind the palace. The sculpted garden space between the palace and the Sun Fountain is called the Great Parterre. The French garden, a big part of the area, was planned by Jean Trehet in 1695.





Then we went to Roman Ruin. It was designed by the architect Johann Ferdinand Hetzendorf von Hohenberg in 1778.



Afterwards we met two ducks and we had little talk. Their name is Freddy and Jo and they live in the garden since their birth. They know every edge in this beautiful garden and told us to go up to the gloriette. Up there we can make the most beautiful pictures of the palace, they promise us.



So we went up the hill and saw the beautiful gloriette.



Then we turned back and had a lovely sight of the palace and the town.



We made a break and Trixie told us some facts about the palace and the garden. One the way home we made a stop at the famous “Neptun Fountain”.

Hi mummy,

last week we had bad weather, so we couldn’t visit some sights =(
Our host suggested us to play some games on the WII and Playstation. She gave us some multiplayer games and then we played the whole day. It was so funny.









I hope next week we will have better weather =)
