Hello mom!!!
Today we went to “Fira de Bellcaire”, also and more common known as “Els Encants Vells”.


“Els Encants Vells” is one of the oldest markets in Europe. Certain references date its origin in the fourteenth century, being a witness over commercial dynamism of our city, it’s more than just an antique market and peddling, orienting its centennial activity and apparent tentativeness to current demand, making available to the consumer an offer alternative to current models of distribution and trade, promoting the recycling. In this market you can found a lot of things, since new objects as clothes, fabrics, electrical equipment to second hand, used furniture, antiques, books and records…
The bad news is that this market will close in its actual place and it will be opened in another place. Most of people think that the market will lose its charm with this change.
We can find three parts in this market. This is one of the entries, where we can see some shops (one of the parts):



In another part of the market there are some stands:


And in the last part of the market, we find the objects on the floor, on a blanket or boxes…


Look!! We are near of “Plaça de les Glòries”, so we can see “Torre Agbar”, do you remember it?


We will miss this market. We’re waiting to see the new emplacement. Mom, can we come back here to visit it??

Hi mom!
Today we went shopping with hostmom. But when we go out of the supermarket (where is not allowed to take photos… ) we went to a square where we played a bit.
This is the square, called “Plaça de l’Assamblea de Catalunya”, near home:


Here we are in the petanque court. Beside us, you can see some tennis tables:


We were sliding:





And then, we found another slide…, but we have to exercise to reach the slide… First, climb on that man…


Then, hang up… I’m an expert!


And we reach the slide!


After to slide, Miggy wanted to go up for the slide…


…but he rolled down back… ^^U


We found a fountain, but it was out of order We think is to save water. Doves can take a bath


And surprise!!!! We found some palm trees!!!! I couldn’t believe that!!! This one is bigger than the other I climbed before!!!


So I climbed up while the guys were watching me:




Mom!!!! I get one of my life missions!!!! And I helped Zero to improve one of his!

After the exercise we took a rest before going home. Goodbye!!! It has been a good day!!!

Miggy and me are leaving today The good news is we’re travelling together to the same destination

Hello from Tenerife!
I thought we were going to Granada, but apparently I'll get to know another Spanish region before that. So here we are in front of the Concepcion Parish:


Today we went to the Nature and Man museum in Santa Cruz where they had a beach themed cafeteria indoors:


There was a room with drawers for many insects and specially butterflies from around the world, look at the beautiful wings they have:


And also many archaeological items from the islands.

I bet I would look beautiful with one of those necklaces.

Today we went to the Teresitas beach:

It's a beautiful beach with white soft sand brought from the Sahara desert:

The water was crystal clear and very refreshing. And the scenery of the mountains and small boats was beautiful.

Today we went around the whole island!
To start we went to the Roque de Garachico:

It is a small island that is a bird sanctuary were several protected species live and some migratory birds also stop by.


Then we went to the Punta Teno lighthouse, which is the westernmost point in the island.
To the left you can faintly see the Gomera island.


The water sea here in Tenerife is beautiful:

Afterwards we drove through the mountains and arrived to a small town called Santiago del Teide:

Apparently they had their local festivities during these days which are related to the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage.


Then we went to the Costa Adeje where there are many large beaches and resorts:

It was very touristy.

Finally we stopped by the Cathedral of La Candelaria:


Where there are very large statues of the 9 Menceyes (or kings) that ruled the islands by the time the Spaniards invaded them.


We had a very fun day today and saw many places around the island.

Today we made way to the highest mountain in Spain: The Teide volcano!.
Here we are with the Teide on the background as well as the La Palma island:



After going through a dense pine forest we came into a desert that looked very much like the surface of Mars!

In fact they use this area to test robots that NASA and ESA will send to the Red Planet!.

We stopped for a drink, it is very important to drink a lot of fluids here in the desert, and the view was like that of an American cowboys movie.

Today we got to ride in a submarine, and it was a yellow submarine!:

It was amazing and we got a big window all to ourselves. Here we are just below the sea level waiting to go down


Here I am at 30 meters below sea level:

We saw many fishes of many different types, even several stingrays.
They also explained to us that the red light from sunlight does not reach so far down, so that's why everything looked so blue and my head looks so dark.

It was absolutely amazing!

Today we went to a volcanic beach were you can see a big cliff drop called Los Gigantes:

The indigenous people used to call these cliffs the Wall of Hell.

And after that we stopped by one of the many banana fields there are in the islands...

and guess what I climbed!

Today we went to the Loro Parque, which is a famous Zoo in Tenerife.
And there I got to meet gorillas

Emperor tamarin monkeys

Some Chimpanzees

and even stood on a statue of one.

I met many monkeys, we also saw many others as well as many parrots!

I also saw an amazing show with Killer Whales:

And another with sea lions


It was a lot of fun!

Hi, today I visited the Alhambra, but I got there late!
So I only saw a very small part of it. My silly hosts seem to be overwhelmed by the TV's they are hosting.
