Villmar, Germany - 23rd August 2013

By: Eistee

Hey Mom! :)
Long time ago and we are very happy to have a new camera! I spent a nice time here and I've taken a lot of pictures. At first I will show you some of Villmar. We went for a walk to the old bridge of Villmar above the "Lahn". On this bridge is a place called: "Little Cologne" because of some locks which are famous for Cologne. I also take a picture in front of "Nepomuk". Other pictures will follow. Miss you Isi

Villmar, Germany - 25th August 2013

By: Eistee

Hey Mom, it's me :)
It was very rainy this week-end. We went for a walk and suddenly it started to rain. So I had to climb on a tree and hide. I visited the "Lahn-Marmor-Brücke" again and we bought some food. (I wanted to have some cheese ;) ) I also looked at a map and found some places I want to go.
I hope it will be warm tomorrow because we want to visit Limburg.
See you

Villmar, Germany - 1st September 2013

By: Eistee

Hey Mom :)
How are you? I'm fine.
We traveled around a little bit. At first we went to Largo Alfredo a little sea with some fish.Than we visited the "Naturdenkmal Unica" There is a quarry where marble is mined. The "Villmarer Marmor" is very famous. It was used in Buckingham Palace, even for the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. Yes little, unknown village with famous marble ;) After that I was very hungry so we cooked some Spaghetti. More next time!
Greetings and kisses Isi

Weimar, Germany - 17th September 2013

By: Eistee

Hey Mom, long time ago :)
Last week we spent in Weimar. It's a very small town with a lot of culture and history. The most famous persons who lived in Weimar are (of course) Goethe and Schiller. We went to Goethes house were he lived more than 50 years. Schillers house is also very interesting. The pictures are only a few insights of Weimar as a Worl Heritage. On the photos you can also see the St.Peter and Paul cathedral what is very interesting because of the Peter and Paul church in Villmar. The National Theatre can be seen on the pillars. In front of the theatre there is a stature of Goethe and Schiller, a picture will follow where you can see me sitting in front of their feeds.  :D
You also can see me in a picture of a stature of Johann Sebastian Bach. He lived in Weimar 1708-1717.
The picture in front of the horse and the rider shows Carl-August. He was a ruler and a sponsor of bourgeois culture and science. The last picture shows me in front of the library his mother has built (Anna Amalia)
Weimar has so much history to offer, that you come almost messed up. If you are interested in learn some more about this old beautiful city look at this webside :) http://www.weimar.de/homepage/

A lot of Greetings! Isi
