Äänekoski, Finland - 23rd August 2012
By: Fendi
Hey there!
On Tuesday I arrived in Äänekoski! My host mom and Nils was already waiting for me. At the same day, we went to visit my host mom's grandmoter who lives alone in the middle of forest. And she is 88 years old. But anyway, we went there to picking berries! Me and Nils were helping as best we can. Those berries weren't very tasty, too sour for me.
Suddenly we heard a weird noise.. We looked for its maker but we couldn't see anything until my host mom pointed in the sky. There was hot air balloon! It was strange that it was flying there, middle of nowhere. After picking berries we went to near forest. There was a lake but that was not suitable for swimming because it was bottomless, it was more swmp lake than a real one. In the forest we saw berries too, lingonberries, but they were even more sour. Later we ent inside the house and there was really strange shoes and bag! They were made from birchbark! That birch shoe was really good place to take a little nap.
The weekend is coming and we are maybe going to do something really fun!
I hope you all the best!
Greetings, Lancel : )

Äänekoski, Finland - 30th August 2012

Hi Mom !
Tuesday was my first day in high school ! Me and Nils take part to three English lessons. I'm really happy that I don't need to study every day! On the break me and Nils played with my host mom's friend's jungle hat. I have no idea why he had that kind of hat in school which is not even in jungle but whatever.
And now i know how to say "castel" and "knight" in Finnish! "Linna" menas "castle" and "ritari" means "knight". Now my dream is a little bit closer to come true!
Tomorrow is a weekend and me and Nils are going to party!
I wish you all the best!
Greetings, Lancel : )

Äänekoski, Finland - 6th September 2012
By: Fendi
Hello !
This week has been quite ordinary, except Tuesday. On Tuesday me and Nils were helping my host mom and other active students to organize a farewell party for exhange students in High School. It was really fun, we ate lots of delicious sweets and snacks, for example cinamon buns, chocolate, grapes and Karelian pasties. And then we met a real journalist! Or in fact, I think he was just a trainee but anyway, he wanted to do a article about ToyVoyagers! So soon my and Nils' picture will be on a local newspaper.
And then we also saw many different instruments there, like an accordion and a keyboard.
Tomorrow we are going to travel by train to Tampere! There is anime and manga happening called Tracon and my host mom is going to work there. I hope that our trip will be fun!
Lots of greetings, Lancel : )

Hey Mom !
Last weekend was awsome ! I have never seen so many spectacular costumes in one place! There were about 5000 visitors in Tracon so that's why my host mom didn't took many pictures, there was always someone on the way. But we were allowed to take picture with beautiful doll ladies.
And at week happened one exiting thing! We were in local newspaper. It was pretty good article, but my host mom said that the picture was terrible. And now she have to use paper bag in her head when she walks outside.. I'm sure she is just kidding. it was good anyway.
On Thursday we had to say goodbye to Nils, who continued his trip to Switzerland. But I wasn't alone for a long because Sheldor the Turtle arrived on Friday! We had a really nice weekend, we walked in the local harbour and looked at yellow trees and boats. Sadly the weather was a little grey. And my host mom has get excited in knitting, at the moment she is making scarf for herself but maybe she had time to do something nice for us too!
I wish you all the best!

Hey Mom !
Sorry that you haven't heard about me for a while. On the weekend we did a morning walk to forest, the weather was really beautiful. In the forest we saw berries and little bugs, me and Sheldor tried to catch them but they were too fast.
And I have a new friend again, my host mom's own ToyVoyager Tsuki came back home from Germany! Sadly her envelope had get wet and she smelled like a wet dog. My host mom had to wash her and now she has been drying for some time. Luckily she is now back in business and she can say goodbye to me when I'm leaving to Germany! I have had fun in Finland and now I will head on new adventures like a knight!
I hope you are fine! All the best!

Hello Mama,
hostmom made some Halloween Costumes for us.
I am an easter egg and a cloud. Cloud number 9 (or was we say in Germany Wolke 7).
Karlos is a classical ghost and a scottish guy.
Klöver wanted a Springroll costume. But I think that there was some kind of ah uh misunderstanding.
And little T.B. is a Pumpkin and a Santa Clause.
If you wanna see the other TV's Costumes please check the Forum because we are all paricipate in the Halloween Costumes contest.
Bye

Host's hometown, Germany - 28th October 2012
By: Susie's
Goooood evening Mom,
this afternoon Susie's took me for a walk in and around her hometown.
First we walked along the old main street which is made of cobblestones and lined of Half-timbered houses.
Then we left the town and walked through the fields and along all the apple trees. Since we walked up a hill for a bit we had a pretty nice view at host mum's home town. And in the distance you can even see the skyline of Frankfurt/Main.
Hope you had a nice weekend too.
Good night.

Frankfurt, Germany - 1st November 2012
By: Susie's
Today we went on lunchbreak with Susie's. She took us to the restaurant of a swedish furniture store. Guess what it's called?
But since the line for lunch was so long and we didn't have too much time, host mum just got some cake. Her friend (who was with us) just grabbed a hot dog. And then we were gone again.
Love you
Lancel

Host's home, Germany - 4th November 2012
By: Susie's
Good evening Mami,
this was a typical November day. Gray and cold and rainy.
What better to do than to stay at home?
Stay at home annnnnnnnnnndddddddddddd bake some cookies!
That's what we did! They are called little chocolate clouds.
First we shredded some chocolate than we separated 4 eggs and made beaten egg white, added some sugar and the chocolate. We put the dough on a baking sheet with the help of a decorating bag.
After they baked for 15-20 Minutes we took the cookies out of the ofen and let them cool of. And here they are our selfmade little choclate clouds.
I miss you Mummy.
Bye yours Lancel
