We arrived in Italy , and we found my friend sammino and his guests already there ready to spend Christmas with us .

Luckily today there was no shortage of sweets to celebrate with .

Today we said goodbye to sammino and his guests who are ready to travel back to Canada .



Before they left he gave me a big hug and wished me safe travelling .

This morning we watched a New Year concert on TV…





…which kept us busy until it was time to celebrate with a yummy meal .

We are back in Italy for a short visit, so I went for a short walk around time to enjoy the lovely spring-like weather .





All this chocolate made me hungry …



…so we stopped in a bar where we could watch people passing by while enjoying a drink and a few snacks .

It is the last day of our little holiday, so today we decided to celebrate in style with some cupcakes .




As it happens, someone suggested that there were too many for only two little TVs like us and we were going to feel sick if we ate all of them …



…but there was a special tray ready just for us .

Happy Easter !

Today two nice Easter bunnies came visiting us …we didn’t even need to chase them down .



And they brought us chocolate !



Which we jumped onto right away .

We are going for another short trip , so today early in the morning we jumped on the train.



We had a lovely view over the Rhein .




But later things got boring and I just fell asleep .

During this trip we visited Marseille , although “visited” is a bit of an overstatement as all I saw are the trees just outside our window .



At least today I had a chance to explore a bit around the station…




…before we jumped on the train to head back home.

We are on holiday on the mountains . Today we took the gondola from where we had lovely view.



At the top we walked a bit around enjoying the view even further .



Later in town we found this lovely bicycle …



…but later we found an even better one, and this gentleman was happy to do the pedalling for us

Before going back to Germany we spent a couple of days in Trento and I had a chance to take a walk downtown. We passed by this lovely church …



…and then roamed the streets at random .



Eventually we stopped to get some fuel .



Luckily we didn’t have to wait too long for the supplies to arrive .

Time to go back to Bonn . On the way to the airport we had special seats .

Almost at the airport

Today Sigfrido and I were just relaxing in the living room when a little bird flew inside the window , and it turned out he was my friend Orpheus .



We were a bit surprised to see him at first , but we quickly recovered  and found something appropriate to celebrate his arrival .

This week we are in Paris for a short trip and today we managed to go out for a walk . Of course, first of all we checked on the map where to go.



Then we got moving and passed by the Pantheon…



…and later we reached Notre-Dame .



As our time was limited, we wandered a bit longer along the river banks…



…before heading back to the hotel.

This week we are in the black forest for a conference and today we managed to get out for a short walk.



The weather was terrible and it soon started raining so we cut our walk short . Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.
