Who said poor old university students had to starve when there is cheap, good food on campus?
I did, when I snagged Abby's Greek felafel for myself.

I heard that Abby's family was maknig cabbage rolls today, so I convinced Abby to let me help. She left the other ToyVoyagers and I on the kitchen table before she left for work with a note that said 'We want to help make cabbage rolls!' and I added, '(But especially Greedy.)'
(Note from Abby: Sorry for the quality of the pictures; my sister Erin was in charge of the photography and she had her hands full trying to keep ahold of Greedy.)
It seemed like a lot of food that the family was working with; lots of meat, rice beans and cabbages, and I offered my assistance in 'lessening the load,' but Erin wouldn't let me go eat a couple cabbages or a few bowls of rice.
Here, Abby's mom is rolling up the rolls to prepare them for being cooked.
Here they are being placed with bacon, beans and tomato sauce in the cooker. I hope they don't mind a bit extra sauce; I couldn't touch, but I drooled over them all the same.
Nearly finished!!!!! I was all ready with my spoon, but Abby's mom told me that I had to eat mine on a plate.
What? You keep me in agony all day, then you only give me one roll!?! What a cruel family, my host's family is.

I noticed a rather parge piece of sushi, and just as I was about to take a bite, it yelled at me to stop. Argh! Foiled again by Abby's crocheting! It wasn't sushi at all, just Abby's new TV, Nori.

Today a new toyvoyager, Moony, arrived, but I was too busy eating Pocky to pay attention.

It's pouring outside, so everyone decided to see what we could do as a group to keep us amused. Alizée decided to show everyone some yoga poses. I opted out (I'm not very flexible, you see) and decided to just watch. I found this bag of almonds, pumpkin seeds and chocolate chips to munch.

After yoga, we made tea.
The cup is actually Abby's; she found a smaller, ToyVoyager-sized cup for everyone. Nothing beats Earl Grey on a cold, wet day Abby didn't give me a big enough cup, but when she wasn't looking I stole a few sips out of her cup. Shhhh! Don't tell!

The following updates are entitled, Mr Greedy's Guide to a Canadian Thanksgiving.
So it's Thanksgving in Canada, and that means eating a large feast for some reason. I don't really care how this came to be, only that tonight there will be a feast and I will be there. Preparing for this dinner takes all day, and so I will update periodically through the day.
First, we are cooking some rice to go into the stuffing.

Look at that stuffing! Rice, onions, a little bit of meat and a few other ingredients, and it all looks so tasty! I offered to stir (and snuck a little bit for myself!)
All this will go into the turkey. Look at the size of that thing! Abby's mom said they bought an extra large on because they knew that I would be there. How sweet.

Cranberries! These will be made into sauce for the turkey. I wanted to make sure that they were good enough tob e in this meal, so I ate a few for good measure. Mmm, definitely good enough.

Checking on that turkey now. Looking good!
What's this in the oven? Candied yams! Yum!
Here, Abby's mom is getting ready to cook the brussel sprouts. Looks like you need a few more; that pot isn't full yet!

The turkey is done! The turkey is done!
So are the yams!
These potatoes were cooking with the turkey. Don't they look delicious? I was about to grab one, but I was told I had to wait a few minutes until the table was set. Argh! I've been good all day! I want dinner NOW!
