Deggendorf, Germany - 15th May 2008

Oh well, I'm really excited! My mummy is going to send me to her sister to Iceland. It's a pity she didn't take any photos when I was starting my trip but well...
I hope the journey doesn't take too long and the icelandic postmen are very fast people! What's terrible: The stamp in the post office will hurt a lot I suppose!
Let's see when I'm going to arrive in Iceland!

A farm not far from Selfoss, Iceland - 5th June 2008
By: Guest
Juhuu!
I have landed safely in Iceland. Everything is going crazy here, though, as we had an earthquake last week. The epicenter was just a few kilometers from here and the magnitude was at 6,3 on the Richter scale. It sure is lively here.
Eyfi, my mother's sister's boyfriend, is a geologist and works at the Iceland GeoSurvey. Thus I went with him on Mt. Ingólfsfjall, where the first earthquake occured (magnitude 5), to look for faults.
Here is a little geological overview and my location.
Here I am, field book in hand, working as a geologist.
The walk was a bit tiring, so me and Gára, my new best friend, lay down for a while.
But being a science dog can be very demanding...
After the nap, we went on. We didn´t find any major faults so I tried if I could fly. Believe it or not, it worked!
Now, everywhere I go, I fly.
