Fredenbaumpark, Dortmund, Germany - 13th September 2008

By: BlackCat

Hello Mummy,

It was a nice day outside and BlackCat met a friend of her, Kati. They went to a festival of lights. It was really nice. Everywhere were little lampions and cute little candles. At the end of the festival there was a firework and I have some photos of it for you. Hope you like them.

Have a nice day,
Titch

Hello Mum,

today we went to a little church. It is the church where BlackCat spent a lot of her time when she was younger. Her primary school was next to it and they went there every week on Wednesday. The doors were closed, so we just have 2 photos for you.

Hope you like it,
Titch

Essen, Germany - 23rd September 2008

By: BlackCat

Hello,

today was the weather really bad, so we decided to watch a movie. Our choice was The Simpsons movie and it was really funny. I laughed a lot at the part where Homer is with the spider pig. I am still singing the song he sang.

Essen-Huttrop, Germany - 25th September 2008

By: BlackCat

Hello mum,

here are some photos of me :)! We walked through Huttrop after BlackCat was working. It was nice :)!

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/oceania87/TV/2409/240908_10.jpg
That's the look on the highway which is called "A 40" in Essen. It is a highway which is going through the Ruhr area. There is always a lot of traffic and at the rush hours there is always a traffic jam.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/oceania87/TV/2409/240908_28.jpg
That is me in front of the water tower in Huttrop. It was half rebuilt after the second world war and now there is the "Tafel" - a social activity, where people without money can get food really cheap.

So, that was all in Essen-Huttrop - we went to Steele after that and I will show you the photos of it in the next Update.

By: BlackCat

Hello again,

after Huttrop we went to Steele :)!
Steele is a part of Essen which was an own town for a long time. It became a part of Essen in 1929.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/oceania87/TV/2409/240908_43.jpg
That's me with the emblem of Steele.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/oceania87/TV/2409/240908_62.jpg
An old house in Steele. I have read something about it, but I can't find the informations about it :(! Sorry.

http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii123/oceania87/TV/2409/240908_68.jpg
A painting at a toy shop. Isn't it nice?

So, that was our day in Steele.

One of my life missions was, to meet a real monkey in a zoo. So we went into the monkey house and I met a lot monkeys. You will see it on the photos I’ve made.

Isn’t the baby monkey sweet?

On the photo on the left you can see, that this thing was weared by a baby monkey some years ago.

Venlo, The Netherlands - 18th October 2008

By: olgamaus

Hi Mummy,

we visited Venlo in the Netherlands today! I came here with  BlackCat and moved to my new host Katja. She told  me that I would meet Moley at her home. That really makes me happy.

We sat close to the river Meuse and wrote a postcard to a friend, another ToyVoyagers host.

I'll stay at Katja's home for a while and maybe I'll travel home with Moley. We'll see.

Hugs

Remscheid, Germany - 26th October 2008

By: olgamaus

Hi Mummy,
after two rainy days we took a walk through the muncipal park to an old district of Remscheid, Hasten. First I had a look at some nice old houses in the vicinity of my current home.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3068/2977366639_8bc9a1e6b3.jpg?v=0

Here you can see the observatory, located at the entrance of the muncipal park.

On our way through the park to Hasten ...

In Hasten Katja showed us a cemetary. It belongs to an evangelic church.

We then walked a little bit through the outskirts and returned back to our home.
