Host mom told him that one thing she is really grateful for is to be in good health.

After a delicious Thanksgiving meal, host mom and some of the kids went for a hike, to find a cemetery that is about 200 years old. They had to climb over barbed wire fences and through a forest of thorny trees. But, they saw beautiful scenery along the way!

Hello!  I have been busy exploring Michigan and getting ready for the holidays!  A few days ago I went with Mel to her work, but the camera wasn't working.
Today we went car shopping with Meema, because she needs a new car.  We rode in some very nice cars!  Right now Meema's favorite is a Prius, but it costs a lot of money.

Then we went for dinner, and Mel borrowed Meema's camera.  Mel's nephew Tyler was with us and he wanted to play tic tac toe on the placemats, so I went first.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1861.jpg

In the end, I was the winner!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1862.jpg

Then dessert came.  It was huge!  Bigger than Mel expected, so she shared.  Underneath this ice cream are hot peaches!  I helped her eat some of it.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1863.jpg

Back at home, the lights were shining on the tree.  Tomorrow we get to start putting the ornaments on!  That will be fun!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1860.jpg

The weather here doesn't feel much like December, today was rainy and people were walking around without their coats on!  Very unseasonable, Mel says.  Tyler is sad because the ski hill cannot open.  She is sure I will see plenty of snow before I leave, though!

We are getting ready for the holidays!  We helped Mel decorate the tree!  I found this ornament with a reindeer on it!  He looks like he is having fun...

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1879.jpg

The tree looked so pretty when it was done!  We did a good job!
http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1886-1.jpg

I found Mel's Dala Horses.  They are from Sweden.  Mel's grandmother on her dad's side as Swedish.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1875.jpg

Then we helped Mel and Madison sent greeting cards!  We helped Madison know which cards stayed in the USA and which ones needed special international stamps.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1887.jpg

Willy, Sunny and I found this card going to Germany!  That made us miss home, but we are happy to be safe and warm here in Michigan for December.  :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS DAD!  We celebrated here a day late, because Mel had to work at the hospital, but it was worth the wait!  Tyler and Madison had stockings waiting for them when their mother brought them over for breakfast and gifts....

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1897.jpg

And then all of the presents were under tree!  We helped wrap some of them!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1898-1.jpg

But before we could open gifts, we had pancakes!  Special Swedish pancakes, which is a family tradition!  They don't look like much but were SO yummy!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/winter/DSCF1894.jpg

Mel got a new camera case and a flash drive shaped like a turtle and some cooking gear, she liked all of her presents very much!  But even more fun, the kids liked what Mel got them - Tyler got snowboarding gear and Madison got books and pretty clothes.

I hope you had a wonderful holiday, dad!  New Year's is soon, and Mel tells us we will go to a party, but only until 11pm, because then she has to work!  Maybe meema will keep us at the party with her until midnight so we can celebrate!

Have a wonderful 2012! :D

Hi Sveni,
we have found a very nice place for you, Mel is a very kind host!
I wish you a nice new-year-party!
Unfortunately you have to leave Mel, Tyler and Madison in a few weeks for a next host in America.

It was nice to hear from you, Sveni. Have a nice time and greetings to Mel and her family!

See you,

Hello Dad!  This will be my last update from Michigan before I travel again.  It has been a crazy couple of weeks since the Christmas holiday, but we found some time to relax too.

When Mel had a day off from work between Christmas and New Years, we helped her make scones and a good vegetable soup.  Perfect for a cold day!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1903.jpg

Then we sat on the couch and watched television while eating the scones and drinking tea.  It was a cozy, lazy day!  It was nice to relax!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1906.jpg

Then our plans for the big New Year's Eve party got cancelled when Mel's grandmother passed away, so we chose to stay home and let Mel deal with family things.

I packed my things to move on but I had a lucky surprise, Just as I was getting ready to go, we got a new guest, Batty, so I got to meet him, even if only for a few minutes!  We all got to chat and get to know each other for a bit before I moved on.

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a214/kessalia/DSCF1935.jpg

Mel says she will miss me, I was a perfect size to take along in her purse, for company.  But she understands that I have so much more of America to see!  And so I will pop into my envelope now, and off I go to Oklahoma!  :D  You will hear from me soon, Dad!  I miss you, but I am having fun!

So, I arrived in Oklahoma tonight. My host says she used to live in Michigan through out her teenage years, so she was familiar with my last location. Also, she says her favorite color is orange... she made me blush!

My host and the other toys were so welcoming. I met Sookie who also just arrived, Schnattchen the duck, and a Dodo Bird that isn't a Toyvoyager. The dodo is part of a toy project called Steampunk Mascots. The Airship Horizons Captain, my host, makes toys and steampunk accessories that you can mix and match on the toy. My host says she doesn't name any of the toys she plans to sell, so that the Airship crews and Steampunk fans can name their own Mascot... and so she doesn't get so attached that she can't give them up!

I got to put my letter into the TV Book that my host keeps of all her visitors. She says it keeps our memory for her when we leave. Isn't that sweet? And don't worry dad, we covered up and edited out my travel log password from the photos. We were very careful.

I went to Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner to watch the UFC event on pay-per-view. It was a lot of fun! We ate wings and hung out. Mr. Scraps, Sookie, and Skylar were there too.

I went on a plane trip with Pilot Hebert and Toki. It was very exciting. The plane ride back, however, was scarey! We got caught in a storm and it felt like the plane dropped several feet out of the sky. Once we got out of the storm, the lightning in the sky was so beautiful! All in all, it was an eventful experience.

We played with a bunch of Steampunk stuff and we had fun! They have a more western style steampunk here in Oklahoma. They like pistols, flintlocks, and the worn "old" look... poker cards... that sort of thing. It's pretty neat!

I went to a Marquis Of Vaudeville concert in Dallas, TX. The show was called Gadgets & Gobstopper which was a Willy Wonka theme (a fantasy movie about a chocolate factory). There were burlesque dancers (sorry, no photos of that) and people in costumes!

Hello world!
I`m in Russia! And my first photos were made in the heart of Moscow - at Red Square!
The weather was cloudy, but you can see how many people went to the Square. It is always full of people.
Quote:
Red Square  is a city square in Moscow, Russia. The square separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and currently the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic merchant quarter known as Kitai-gorod. As major streets of Moscow radiate from here in all directions, being promoted to major highways outside the city, Red Square is often considered the central square of Moscow and all of Russia.

I want to come back here when it is sunny.

People in Russia celebrate Easter not the same day as we do. They are Orthodox Christian and have other dates for Easter and Christmas. But they paint eggs and cook cakes and we.
We were at the country-side and there were snow everywhere!

I`m again at Maria`s countryside. Today we made all preparations for summer season. Look what nice lady I met. Don`t think she is Maria`s granny :)
We found old style vehicle, it is very comfortable.
I don`t have much photos, but believe me that was nice holidays.

Photos are not really good because we made them with mobile phone.

Hello!
Sorry for not writing so long, but Maria was moving to another flat and we didn`t have time at all.

At the begging of June we had wonderful river-trip.
At first photo you can try to find me in the trees with lock of love (these locks are handed by people who just married).

We could have a look at the center of Moscow from our ship :)

Hello Mark!
I visited Santorini island.
Quote:
Santorini , classically Thera , and officially Thira , is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast from Greece's mainland. It is the largest island of a small, circular archipelago which bears the same name and is the remnant of a volcanic caldera. It forms the southernmost member of the Cyclades group of islands, with an area of approximately 73 km2 (28 sq mi) and a 2001 census population of 13,670. The municipality of Santorini comprises the inhabited islands of Santorini and Therasia and the uninhabited islands of Nea Kameni, Palaia Kameni, Aspronisi, and Christiana. The total land area is 90.623 km2 (34.990 sq mi). Santorini is part of the Thira regional unit.

It is nice, beautiful and very ... white! Every house there is white and churches too.
I loved being at Santorini. And if you could please visit it one day
