Yesterday I met a new friend - Sasha the squirrel. She is so nice and she likes to sing. This morning I helper prepare a pizza and hot chocolate. I did all I could! After breakfast we went to the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama. We went to underground. We watched a funny presentation titled "Fat Pig". After performance we went to Independence Square. It's a main square in Kyyiv. I saw a Santa, Mickey Mouse, pony, Christmas tree. Then we went to post. I helped my host send a postcards to USA, Germany, Poland and Russia. When we came home I was very tired and frozen because weather is cold today. Host allowed me to drink a little bear. Than we watch X-mas comedy titled "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!". I laughed so hard ![]() Now we are preparing a cake. Host celebrates today Christmas. She isn't a Catholic but her grandfather was Pole so she celebrates Christmas twice a year. Tomorrow we will go to Cathedral. Merry Christmas mummy! Good night. Yours, Mefito. |

We watched speech of the President and make a wish at midnight. I hope my wish will come true! We drank champagne and ate salad "Olivier." I am back home!!!
Today I came home from my long and very nice journey to Kiew, Ukraine. Many many thanks to my hostmum, her family and friends! They were so kind and we had a nice time together! When I looked out of my little parcel, I was so happy to see all my old friends and Mummy! Before hugging they admired my scarf and friendship-bracelet (thank you, hostmum, they kept me warm on my long way home) and my little presents. Then I gave a hug to Mummy, Nick, Claas, Mary, Madrid and Peter (unfortunately my best friend Störte isn't at home at the moment) and got to know Mademoiselle Poupoule and Tiffy who is on their first trip as a TV. Tiffy accompanied me out for getting some fresh air, relaxing in the sun and exchange our experiences of our first journeys. When we came back my old and new friends gave me skunk-card playing and a skunk-figurine as a welcome-present! And now we will sit together the whole night, talking and celebrating my return... |
||
mcdaniels Posted Apr 9, 2012, 12:34 pm |
Happy Easter!!!
For my Mum I had practised an Easter song with a bunny quintet. The bunnies sang loudly and shrilly... very nice, Mummy said ![]() Last night Tiffy and I accompanied Mum and Dad hiding many many Easter bunnies in front of their friend's homes. Tiffy and I carried the bunnies to the houses, and we had to be VERY quiet so that we didn't get caught. In front of one house I had to sneeze and suddenly the light went on ![]() After a few hours our bunny-bag was nearly empty. By way of thanks Tiffy and I got the last two bunnies ![]() Before reaching home I felt to sleep...too many excitements for a little skunk... |
||
mcdaniels Posted Apr 17, 2012, 11:07 am |
Yesterday my best friend Störte came back home! We haven't seen each other since last December!
Tiffy and I were standing there waiting for his pirate ship..and there he was! Cause I'm a gentleman I let Tiffy welcome her Störte first, but then we gave us a long hug! After that Störte was spinning his yarn for a few hours and I told him about my experiences in Kiew. As I said, I'm a gentleman, and so I retired after a while ![]() |

Tomorrow Tiffy, Störte and I will start to three new hosts, so yesterday we went on our farewell trip. We drove on our favourite path, climbed up our favourite tree, sat on our favourite bench and between our favourite flowers and were a bit sad, because we have to say goodbye to Tiffy ![]() But of course we are excited as well and look forward to our new hosts and friends ![]() And today evening we will celebrate our farewell party! |

Dear family and friends,
today I had a lazy day. It was very exciting the two days I´m here, so I took a little break. My hosts got two crazy cats as you can see on these pictures. So I thought I had to made a good impression to them - you´ll never know how good it could be..... On the pictures it looks like them sisters, but it isn´t. The first one on the brown ground is Gutschie often known as Gucci but thats wrong. She is very very strange, but on the other side a very normal cat. Then I met the 2nd one called Cindy - she´s totally crazy two but in a special way. She told me, that she lost her mother with the age of 3 weeks. She was found by a stranger in a box near a rubbish skip. But now she is almost 18 years old and one of her special habits is to sucks a wool-cover on the bed. When she do this she gives those typical cat sound like to purr but much louder. When the door bell rings she wants to crawl under the bed-cover of my hosts bed. But she was very nice when we went to bed at night, I slept next to her between her and my host-mum. I had a good night and a lazy day because I was alone with Gutschie and Cindy and we stayed the whole time in bed or in front of the TV. Tomorrow my hosts son would play an own football match here in Neumünster. There we will take some new photos. For this time I say good-bye to you and Daddy - I´m very tired of doing nothing!! Love you, miss you, hug you in my thoughts! Good night! |

Dear Mom and Dad,
today we had to do those boring things like bring bottles away to get some money for it and go shopping urgently food and drinking. As you can see I was very hungry so I tried the cucumber immediatly in the car. In the evening we watches TV and my hostmum made me a special cloth for tomorrow when we want to visit the Volkspark-Stadion in Hamburg to watch HSV. See you later I´m in hurry! Love U! |
||
HSV Maskottchen anja-cruse@vodafone.de Posted Apr 29, 2012, 5:36 pm |
Hello everybody!
Yesterday was a real great day for all of us! First we had a delicious breakfast in Hamburg where my hostson met his father - it was very nice to get some food which is not made by my hostmum.....just kidding! After the meeting we drove to the big Volkspark-Stadion where "our" HSV plays gorgeous football (hopefully!). The best before: We got a parking place just in front of the stadium, because my hostmum got a pass for handicapped persons. They can park only a few meters away from the stadium, because they can´t go not so good by feet. Then we were in front of the stadium to take a photo from this huge thing. I MADE MY FIRST MISSION!!!!! ![]() HSV played against FSV Mainz 05 - its last game in this back round at home. Next week will be the last game for this time against Augsburg, what we want to see in television. |
||
HSV Maskottchen anja-cruse@vodafone.de Posted Apr 29, 2012, 5:57 pm |
We went into the stadium and watched a little bit around. We saw a little fan-shop - not the big store, because this one is completely full of people so we couldn´t get enough air to breath!
Then we went to our places in the block 21 C. In the next block 22 C there are the loudest fans ever. They called "Urgestein" because the HSV ist the team which is the whole time in the first Bundesliga ever! The block 22 C gives a song first and then the whole people in the stadium gave the answer to it (but not the guest fans!!). Then it is always very loud there, I promise I tried it out!!! The HSV played a boring 0:0, but it´s ok because they were in this season not so good, it was very difficult to stay in the first Bundesliga. Through this game and some lucky games of other teams we (the HSV!) can be also next season in the first Bundesliga. But watch the pics! It was amazing! I send you many many hugs and kisses! ![]() |

After this great visit in Hamburg we had to move back to Neumünster where my hostmum took me with to a supermarket. There I saw a strange green-red thing called rhubarb! I never saw this before, luckely my hostmum didn´t buy this! We only needed some things so we left the supermarket soon.
At home I was so tired that I slept immediatly! But not without thinking of you - I want to visit the Volkspark-Stadion with you and Dad together, maybe some day! Send you big hugs and many kisses! Yours Mefito |

Hello everybody!
Today my hostmum had a date in Hamburg at a hospital for a radiological examination. But I had to stay in the cabin, so we have no photo of it, because the doctor didn´t allow it. After that we made a little break at the famous store of IKEA. There my hostmum bought urgent things like candles and so on. It was very boring for me, because there were no other animal like me. But it was ok, because we drove very fast on the motorway to Neumünster, that was very funny just like in a rollercoaster..... Many hugs for you!! Yours Mefito |

Dear Loveones,
on Friday last week my hostmum and her son Tom Robinson did some homework like cleaning the house and so on. It was very necessary so I gave my help, but it wasn´t easy as it seems because I´m to small for the mop. In the evening it was a little bit funnier for me because the meal was so delicious! Especially the french fries were so yummy! You have to try it when I´m back home! Big hugs, yours Mefito |

Dear Mum and Dad,
yesterday in the evening I was really tired because cleaning the house was very exhausting! Today we hadt to do the normal things at the weekend, first we were at a supermarket to give bottles back. There was a strange machine which took the bottles in its body. Then it made such horrible noise you can´t imagine! But hostmum told me that it is normal at those machines, puuuhhh!! After that hostmum had to sell a lot of things at ebay, mostly clothes of her and Tom. So I helped a little bit with my gorgeous vocabulary! So I described the things and hostmum did the photos! I think many people want to buy now the clothes.....more than before, sure! In the evening we were very lazy lying on the sofa with Coke and chips. It was very relaxed only to watch stupid television. But sometimes it must be! See you later! |

Hi there!
Yesterday hostson Tom Robinson had a football match at his club the TSV Gadeland, Gadeland is a suburb of Neumünster and it is only 5 minutes by car away from the apartment. While Tom did his warm-up hostmum said hello to everybody in the pub which is by the club. There was a real nice dog called Lady. But she was very frightened of me, she had to take a smell of my special fur! Toms team won this match against the team of Nortorf (a little village near Neumünster) 10:1!! Its a little bit different instead of the HSV! We had real nice weather, so I took some views around the place. In the next days my hostmum will get a decision from her doctor if she has to plan a urgent operation at her back because she has a slipped disc and her left leg is "out of order". But I think I can stay here a little bit longer. If its not so, I will write to you soon, promised! Big kisses, yours Mefito |

I know, I´m a little bit to late, but hostmum Anja is very ill this time with her back, so I took a lot of consideration. I took for you a very special photo on Mothers Day with a self-made heart for you! Mummy, I miss you very much, but in the next days I´m on my next trip to Austria! First I want to show you some exciting things I did here. See you! |

Dear Mum,
today we were at a football match again. It was not so interesting so I watched a little bit around and then I found a very strange animal....a vineyard snail called in Germany. It was funny to see how it made a short way in such a long time..... Also I had the chance to sit between the very important balls. |

Dear family,
today I helped in the household! There was a lot of dishes to take out of the dishwasher, then I made the laundry. After that I took the food we bought into the refrigerator. All these things were so powerful that I was very tired after the work. Hostmum allowed me to sleep on her side in the big bed because there is always a heating pad which warmed me up. Tomorrow hostmum allowed me to sit in front of the car when she drive home from the work. Her son said, that he wanted to eat something from Mc D.´s - so we want to bring it home. I´m very excited because it´s always a little adventure to drive by car with hostmum!!!! |

Hi there,
as I told yesterday we were at Mc Donald´s at the drive in. Maybe you can see the sticker on the car in front of us - naturally a HSV-fan! Very good! Then we took the food very fast home not without taken some pictures on the way. As I told yesterday, hostmum has a very special driving style.... If I will save my life, I ´ll write again the next days. Hostmum Anja told me, that my next station is in Austria - maybe I can get there some really good food. I heard about it like there is Kaiserschmarrn, Wiener Schnitzel and Palatschinken. I hope I can try it! Hostmums TV Hermann was in Austria last year she told me and he was a little bit "fatter" than before - sorry Hermann! ![]() |

HSV Maskottchen anja-cruse@vodafone.de Posted Jun 9, 2012, 10:23 am |
Dear friends at home,
now I haven´t so much time to get very good adventures here in Germany! Hostmum told me, that I will leave her and Tom on Saturday right in direction Austria! But before this we took some nice pics in the city of Neumünster. As you remember, Hostmum works in the Tourist-Information right in the middle of the town. There will be the next four days the 2nd biggest party in Schleswig-Holstein. Its called Holstenköste and it´s an event with lots of roller coasters, many food and only music and alcohol. So we took some pictures about the beginning and building. Tomorrow will start the UEFA European Champion Ship in Poland and the Ukraine - sure that I´m with it! Maybe I can get a new jersey for it! Let´s see! |
||
HSV Maskottchen anja-cruse@vodafone.de Posted Jun 9, 2012, 3:06 pm |
Hi everybody,
before leaving Neumünster I will show you some new pictures. Hostmum Anja took me with to her physiotherapist Heike. Heike was very friendly and allowed us to tkae pictures in her rooms. Ther are some very strange gym-things like this huge ball on the photo but I know thats good for everyones health. The Last pictures are naturally about the European Championship of Football. It started today and of course I saw a big opening party and some first matches. Here you can see, that Anja made me a special jersey which I can take with me on my journey to Austria starting tomorrow. I´m sooooooo excited! Wow, the match of Russia against the czech team was very powerful and with a very good 4:1 for Russia. So the Championship can go on! Lots of love to all friends and especially to you Mummy! I miss you so much but its also so nice to meet so many new people and things arround the world! Bye bye yours Mefito!Also I want to say thank you to Anja and her son Tom, too! Hi Mum!
The past few days have been pretty awful weather wise. It's been raining and raining and raining... But today the rain finally stopped! So hostmum took us in to Newcastle to show us around. Things didn't go according to plan though... ![]() First she showed us Grey's Monument. It was built in 1838 to commemorate Earl Grey and the Great Reform Act of 1832, which changed British politics. ![]() Then we stopped at one of hostmum's favourite cafes and she bought me a delicious cupcake as a treat! ![]() ![]() And then... hostmum's camera broke! ![]() Hostmum has promised us that we'll go back to Newcastle to continue to explore, and hostmum's mum has given her her camera in the meantime. Things are certainly eventful here! ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hi Mum,
It's been raining almost non-stop recently, so when it did finally stop raining, we quickly got our things together and went for a walk in the countryside. ![]() Hostmum says that this is a typical view of the Northumberland countryside. ![]() We came across this little village - I thought it was quite funny that it's called 'Wall'. ![]() Then we went deeper in to the wild... ![]() Look how pretty the forest is. Almost magical... ![]() We even came across a little waterfall and stream! ![]() It was great getting back in touch with nature, Mum. ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hi Mum,
Today was a fun day. We went to Alnwick (pronounced Ann-ick) and explored the gardens of the stately house, which was created by the Duchess of Northumberland, and is a big tourist attraction now. ![]() This is the Poison Garden - there's all sorts of poisonous plants here. You can only go inside if you join a tour, and the really poisonous plants are in a cage. ![]() There's a pretty little pond in the gardens as well, with lots of wildlife - especially ducks! ![]() Then we walked through a cherry orchard - it's the biggest orchard of its kind in the world. ![]() This is the Ornamental garden, full with beautiful plants. ![]() ![]() Then we took a stroll through the rose garden. ![]() ![]() I also managed to get lost in the bamboo labyrinth! It took me about 20 minutes to find my way out again... ![]() Then we saw a honeybee observatory - we could see the honeybees busy at work. ![]() Don't these grapes look delicious? They're used to make local wine. ![]() This tree-house is actually a restaurant! ![]() ![]() And you have to cross this swing bridge to get to it! ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hi Mum,
You'll never guess what - I'm in China! We started traveling on Monday, and we arrived in the afternoon on Tuesday. We're still pretty jetlagged, but that didn't stop us from going to see the Great Wall of China! ![]() To get there we had to walk up this street, which is full of stalls and people trying to get tourists to buy their souvenirs. ![]() Once we were on the wall, the view was amazing. ![]() ![]() This massive pot was used to store oil in, so when the guards spotted an attack, they could raise the alarm by setting the oil on fire (like in the Disney movie 'Mulan'). It was such a great place to see! ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hi Mum!
Today we went to see the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. ![]() Originally, there were only seven of these stones, and they represented the seven peaks of Taishan Mountain, which was used as a place to prayer in ancient China. ![]() Here you can see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. ![]() The hall was surrounded by quite a few other religious buildings. ![]() ![]() One of the Emperors had this door built, as he was 70 and his health was declining. However, he didn't want his sons to become lazy and always use this as a short cut, so he made the law that you could only use this door once you had reached 70 - hence the name of it; the 70-year-old-door. ![]() And finally, here you can see me in front of the Imperial Vault of Heaven. ![]() Love, Mefito |

Guess where I was today! Can you guess? No? I was at the Forbidden City! ![]() It was used as the Imperial Palace for over 500 years. ![]() In total, 24 Emperors lived here. ![]() It's so big! ![]() The whole place is over 960m long! ![]() It also has a very pretty imperial garden. ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hi Mum,
We're all slowly recovering from the jet-lag. Well, when I say 'we' I mean hostmum! Us TVs haven't been affected by it too much, but hostmum sure is sleeping weird hours! So while she's recovering, we've all been having fun with the stuff we bought back from China. Can you guess what this is? It's a hat! ![]() And this is some tea that hostmum bought back - it's very tasty. ![]() And of course, we had to bring back something yummy to eat. ![]() ![]() Love, Mefito |

Hey mum!
It´s me Mefito. I am really sorry that you didn´t hear from me for so long. I was a long time in the dark envelope. But then my new host-mum opened it and now I can finally see my new home. ![]() Here are many other plushies. A pink monster, called Ui and a turtle with a big head, called Pauline, were the first who welcomed me. ![]() Mum, you know what ? I met another skunk. His name is Stinkfi and he looks just like me. Okay he is taller but he could be my brother. ![]() ![]() I write you tomorrow! Love, Mefito. |

Hey mum!
We went for a walk in the forest. But not only to enjoy the woods. We were looking for some Geocaches. ![]() We arrived a little pond. The "Tiroler-Weiher". Pretty small and pretty dirty. But the atmosphere at this place is beautiful. ![]() ![]() We found a statue of the "Grüngürteltier". That´s the mascot of the large forest in Frankfurt. ![]() ![]() A few steps further we found another statue of this animal. This one "guarded" a little viewing point. ![]() After a few hours in the forest we started to find our last cache for the day. I got it! ![]() Love and kisses, Mefito |

Hello mum!
I went with my host-mom in the old part of Frankfurt. In the center point of the town. Here I saw two of the famous sights. At first the St. Paul´s Church, "Paulskirche". ![]() Today the church is no longer used as a church. Now you can visit some displays or go to little events. The next stop was the "Römer". One of the most important landmarks in Frankfurt. Its´s a "Standesamt". ![]() ![]() Across from the Römer you can see these old houses. ![]() ![]() |

today we visited the Sealstation in Friedrichskoog, founded in the early 80thies to hatch baby seals lost their mothers ![]() There is a large tower to climb on and You have a wonderful view all over the landscape At first we learned the difference between a common seal or harbour seal and a grey seal ![]() Then we climbed on the tower to have a first view from above ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There You can see a building formed as a whale, it´s an indoor-playground for children In the pools are a lot of small baby seals to hatch ![]() ![]() They have been found on the beaches at the northern sea without their mothers and brought here to take care of them until they are old enough ![]() ![]() But You can also watch adult seals. ![]() ![]() The huge dark one is a grey seal ![]() and this is a harbour seal ![]() ![]() They are not able to live on their own because they were ill as babys Can You see me on the largest seal I have ever seen? ![]() Here I am with a real seal ![]() At the end alltogether we donated an amount for the station ![]() What a nice and informative place ![]() |

Hi Mum,
today we made a little walk through the pedestrian zone of Wuppertal-Barmen ![]() Here we start at the beginning. Behind me You can see a station in old style of the suspension railway (Schwebebahn), but in the holidays it doesn´t drive, because of the huge renovation that lasts almost 10 years for the whole railway... ![]() One of the nicer pre-war buildings there. A lot of houses were destroyed in WWII and the houses they built up after it, are only functional, but not very nice... ![]() This is the formerly "Hall of fame" , built at the end of the 19th. century. Now its "the house of the youth" and sometimes bands playing there. ![]() Here we play with 3 huge bronce turtles. They have their home in the pedestrian zone and are very popular, almost by the kids who want to sit on them. ![]() This is the town-hall of barmen, built in the late 20ths of the 20th century ![]() And bronce-animals again, but much older, here as colums of large lanterns ![]() Here we sit on the basic of one of them ![]() And we met "Tuffi" ![]() He is very famous here, in the 50ths he jumped out of the suspension railway and fell into the Wupper. Nothing seriously happend to him ![]() That was our little walk Love and hugs to You, Mum Yours Mefito |

Hi Mum,
today we went to Wuppertal and visited the Botanical Garden there ![]() Today and on Sunday they celebrate a colourful summer fair around the Elisentower ![]() Mum, perhaps You remember this tower, when Lillevisited it in spring? And this is the Elisentower itsself ![]() Formerly built as a windmill in the 18th century, a rich industrial magnate bought the area around the mill and built up his villa there in the 19th century. And he upsized the windmill tower to have a better view on the landscape of the valley of the river Wupper. First we started our tour and looked at the booths with handcrafted objects ![]() Then we visited the botanical garden itself ![]() Here parts of the old villa used as orangerie ![]() Look at the wonderful Lotos flower ![]() Here are some more impressions of the garden ![]() One of the two ponds with nice water lilies ![]() ![]() Even bananas they have in the warmhouse ![]() Here You can see the tower again ![]() And here I am on the tower ![]() ![]() O.K. this is not the real tower, but a good size for us plushies ![]() ![]() ![]() Now we are in the real tower ![]() What a nice wooden ornament on the floor ![]() Look at the nice ornaments under the ceiling ![]() ![]() Today this room is used for marriage ceremonies ![]() So let´s see what us expect outside ![]() ![]() Now we are on the top of the Elisentower, enjoying the landscape of Wuppertal and the fair in the garden ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() On our way downstairs we learned some more about the 200 year old area of the Hardt ![]() What a fine day here we spent ![]() That´s it for today, Mum, see You soon Yours Mefito |

I'm back home!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() After a long time filled with many fantastic experiences and meetings Strunki brought me home yesterday. My friends at home and hostmum's TV-guests The WotWots, UrselHH and Sargent Froggo gave me and my new friends Charlotte, Helmut, Laika, Elmar, Hase and Gozer a fantastic welcome ![]() We sat together talking about our experiences and eating chocolate and gummi bears... And the best was: Helmut and Charlotte will stay here and drive together with us to the North Sea at the end of the month!!! So I didn't have to say goodbye to all of my new friends. But I had to say goodbye to my so nice hostmum!!! Thank you for everything, I think we'll meet again soon! And goodbye Gozer, Laika, Hase and Elmar. Have a good time and journey, perhaps we'll meet again! After so many goodbyes we sat together the whole night talking and talking... Nice to be home again! Love you all yours Mefito |

After talking the whole night we fell asleep in the morning...
Some hours later we were woken up by Charlotte: "Listen" she said, "let's make hostmum happy and clean up the kitchen before she'll come home from work." Okay we thought, good idea but Charlotte had another idea: "You'll clean up and I'll look after you..." she said. We looked at each other and agreed on this Suggestion immediately: No! So Charlotte hadn't any choice but cleaning up, too ![]() After hard work we played my very nice card game: 'everybody wants Stinky'. You have to collect pairs of cards and the one who has got at last the lovely skunk is the winner (not the looser, that's another totally incomprehensible form of playing this card game...) Helmut won! |

Today morning we visited Bad Lippspringe, a spa near Paderborn. In Bad Lippspringe there are five sources: Lippe, Jordan, Arminius, Liborius and Martinus and the water you can get from some of them is very good drinking water.
There are two spa gardens, an older one and a newer on. On the photo you can see a part of the older one with many old and some young trees. We visited also the ruin of a very old castle standing in the centre of Bad Lippspringe and the church St. Martin. And guess what, my friend *Nick* became a TV today ![]() See you yours Mefito |

Hurray! Tomorrow I'll travel to the North Sea together with all my friends ![]() ![]() |
||
mcdaniels Posted Sep 29, 2013, 1:13 pm |
Today our North Sea-trip has begun!
In the early morning we took our places in the car and Most of the time we drove on motorways but together with HelmutBluepant, Charlotte, *Nick*, The WotWots, UrselHH and Sargent Froggo it wasn't boring at all. After a few hours we crossed Hamburg and drove through a long tunnel underneath river Elbe. A further hour later we crossed the Kiel Canal. The typical landscape we could see outside the car showed us that we were already at our's destination. And so it was. A few minutes later we reached a nice sofa in our holiday home in Friedrichskoog ![]() |
||
mcdaniels Posted Sep 30, 2013, 5:36 pm |
What we did first on our first day: we borrowed a TV-suitable bike for reaching all sights and places in Friedrichskoog.
Today we drove to the 'Trischendamm', a dam that streches 2 km into the North Sea. I wore my HSV-Shirt (built up for me by HSV Maskottchen) cause it was windy and cold and because my favourite football team HSV had to Play in the evening. On our way to the dam we saw a sign that confirmed us to prefer driving by bike and not by car...driving by car seems to be very dangerous in this region ![]() On the Trischendamm we walked up to the end and stood so to speak in the middle of the North Sea. As I said it was a windy day so we had to pay attention not to fly away... Back at the dyke we took a rest in a nice wicker beach. On our way back home we bought some jam standing at the roadside. There were no seller but only a box to put in the money. In the evening I watched the football play on TV ![]() ![]() See you yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted Sep 30, 2013, 9:57 pm |
In the morning we unfolded the magic towels of Charlotte and HelmutBluepant. We had to put the little packets into water and waited some seconds...and then two very nice towels came to light ![]() |
||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 1, 2013, 3:47 pm |
In the afternoon we wanted to visit Friedrichskoog's little lighthouse. A narrow dam leads to the lighthouse. On our way we saw a nice red fishing cutter, the typical ship in this region.
After half the distance we took a rest. Looking back we could see the tower standing in the seal station we visited in July together with Strunki. Cause it was high tide the dam was overflowed at it's end so we unfortunately couldn't reach the lighthouse and had to turn back. Perhaps we'll try again at low tide. Back at the dyke we found a big stone with an inscription: at this place runs the 54th northern latitude. |
||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 2, 2013, 11:29 am |
Today morning we visited the old windmill in which mum and dad married a few years ago.

In the afternoon we took a long walk on the dyke and met a lot of sheep.
mcdaniels Posted Oct 2, 2013, 9:29 pm |
Today morning it was raining so *Nick* read a book to us.
In the afternoon the weather was much better so we drove to Meldorf, a little nice town near Friedrichskoog we visited together with Strunki this summer. First we visited the great cathedral built up in the 13th century. And then mum showed us the market square with her favourite café, of course we went in...very good ![]() Somebody had an old anchor in his garden and of course we wanted to sit on it... A few minutes later I discovered a mysterious sign on a lamppost: something that looked like a shell...Mum explained me that this shell is a scallop, the identification for the pilgrims who make a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Very interesting, I thought and asked mum whether I could become a pilgrim as well. And guess what she said. Yes! I'll escort grandma who'll start next Sunday! ![]() ![]() Isn't it great? yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 3, 2013, 10:41 am |
Cause it was raining again we had time to sit in a nice café and to explore the interior furnishings after eating and drinking. There were very interesting things in plushie-size, so we played seafarer and lighthouse attendent...fantastic!
|
||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 3, 2013, 6:13 pm |
Today the weather was very good, so in the morning we walked on the Trischendamm at low tide for picking shells.
After picking some we took arest on the big stones. On our way back we had a great sight of the mud flats. Back at the dyke we met 'Fritze', a very big mud flats worm and then we played on a nice boat and took another rest on deck. In the afternoon we went into another nice café...mum and dad love cafés as you can see... ![]() |
||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 4, 2013, 12:54 pm |
Today morning we tried to reach the little lighthouse again, this time at low tide.
But first Charlotte wanted to visit her sister-in-law who lives here at the dyke. Charlotte's brother unfortunately is in prison (and she doesn't want to tell us why) as Helmut told a few weeks ago, you remember? And so she went alone into the rabbit burrow (Charlotte's brother had married a rabbit as you can see) and we had to wait outside while she was talking with her sister-in-law. After a while she came back, hugged HelmutBluepant but she didn't want to say anything about her visit. If you ask me it seems to be a not so pleasant part of her family... So we started to the lighthouse and reached it. Before going back we took a long rest sitting there and talking about life... Yours Mefito |

||
mcdaniels Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:04 pm |

Today I showed OleOrangescarf mum's work in Paderborn. She works as a social worker in an old people's home. We drove by bike and on our way we watched the autumn. But today the autumn tasted of spring, it was very warm and together with the new sown grain it also looked like spring.
On our way we met a strange guy who showed us the right way to Paderborn city ![]() We droved past a school but the lucky children were on autumn holiday in this region. Today afternoon we went for a walk round Altenbeken, the village next to Neuenbeken, our homevillage.
There we walked through a forest to a statue of saint Mary where mum lighted a candle for all her late relatives and friends as many people do on All Saints' Day (the day before yesterday). On our way to the statue we saw some signs but no sign to saint Mary but we could see her from a long way away. It was a very peaceful place as you can see. On the way back we met a strange guy in the middle of the forest. We took another rest on a bench when suddenly we were knocked over by a gust of wind ![]() In Altenbeken we visited an old steam engine that is standing there in memory of the past. Altenbeken has been and still is a railway junction. Bye for today Mefito |

Today I started together with friends of mum and dad and my new friend Charmin to Uslar for spending the night in a tree house ![]() The weather was great, best conditions for such a plan. So after a snack we explored the area round the tree house: a sign with the wild animals of this region, a climbing park (I dared to climb to the top!!!) and a lookout tower. Before helping at geocaching we took a rest. We found two treasures ![]() ![]() When we saw the big chairs of course we had to took another rest sitting on them ![]() Back in the tree house I wanted to write an email to you but it didn't work: no Net in the middle of a forest. So we had time for drinking tea, reading a book, playing Kniffel and making Sudoku, very nice without Net ![]() Of course we had to climb a bit and of course we tested the nice bed you could turn outside so you could lie in bed watching the starry sky ![]() Unfortunately it was cold outside so we turned the bed inside and had a good meal (with sparkling wine!) bevor going into our own beds. First I tried to sleep alone in my bed but lying in one sleeping bag together with Charmin was much better. Good night! |

Today we droved to Paderborn city by bus for visiting river Pader. This river is the shortest river in Germany (only 4 km) but has got more than 200 sources.
We visited a place where women did the washing up to the fifties of the last century. While sitting there suddenly a goose caught me ![]() "This is not allowed, I'm a skunk and I'll show you the weapon of a skunk and you'll never forget!", I shouted and so the goose dropped me, apologized to me and allowed me to sit on her back...puuuhh! Today in the early morning something strange has happened:
we were still sleeping when suddenly we were woken up by a loud voice: "Where is the birthday boy?" Sitting up we saw a big goblin sitting on a purple horse and having a burning crown is his hands ![]() First I thought I had taken leave of my senses but my friends could see the goblin as well. "Where is the birthday boy?" he repeated. "It's me!" I said. He wanted me to step forward, presented the crown to me, congratulated me and disappeared. Wow! We all couldn't believe it but we could see the crown so it was true. My friends told me to put on the crown, then they sang a birthday song for me, hugged me and gave me yummy gummi bears as a present ![]() We sat around the crown discussing the event until mum and dad came for congratulating me. Then we started to Paderborn city by bus for having a vegan birthday breakfast in a nice café ![]() On the way back we visited the cathedral again and a miniature of the city. That's it for now, in the evening we'll drive to a restaurant for having a farewell dinner cause today it isn't only my birthday but also the last day of The WotWots in Paderborn and they shall get a great goodbye! Today afternoon we drove to grandma for wishing her a happy birthday.
Because she's such an enthusiastic pilgrim (you remember?) granddad gave her a sculpture of St. Jacob as a present, built up by a potter. And cause I'm an enthusiastic pilgrim as well I wanted to sit on St. Jacob's arm ![]() On teatime we had yummy cake ('Christstollen', a very good cake you eat at Advent and at Christmas) ![]() And in the evening we had another birthday invitation to friends of mum and dad. First we had raclette and then we explored the flat and discovered a lot: a nice donkey-pig or something like that, a very kind spider, a caterpillar which never has had enough to eat, a vending machine with chocolat in it ![]() ![]() yours Mefito |

Today evening we drove to Detmold for visiting the Christmas fair in the open-air museum. In the big area there're many old houses and two windmills you can visit for getting an idea of bygone times.
Today the old houses and mills were illuminated, it looked fantastic! For finding the path in the dark there were torches at the wayside. There were many stands with nice things to buy and in the old houses you could buy things, too. Of course we bought some yummy hot punch ![]() And look what mummy bought for us: a wooden sledge ![]() Now we're just waiting for some snow... Yours Mefito |

Today an envelope has arrived. Cause we were all waiting for SunnyHH and Soeren we were surprised cause the envelope was very small. We lifted the envelope up and concluded that it was too light for comprising an elk...
Then suddenly two little white ears came to light and a nice rabbit crawled out of the envelope and explained that Soeren really wanted to visit Strunki and his old friends. So he turned off to Remscheid. But we'll meet on December 14th in Dortmund and then he'll come back home SunnyHH explained. Than we all hugged SunnyHH and we sat together eating yummy chocolate he's brought with him and talking about TV-life... Love you Yours Mefito |

Yesterday evening mum said we could put up a boot in front of the flat door for St. Nicholas. Perhaps he would fill the boot in the night on his way round the world. So we did. Of course we all wanted to see St. Nicholas so we sat behind the door staring through a door gap. "No", mum said, "you've got to go to bed and sleep. St. Nicholas won't come to somebody sitting behind the door." So we did. We tried to stay awake but no chance...
In the early morning we raced to the door and the boot has been filled ![]() ![]() Yours Mefito |

And in the evening we visited a friend of mum for having a comfortable St. Nicholas evening.
First we had a yummy dinner. Suddenly we heard somebody playing the harp. It was a friendly owl. Of course we asked the owl to become a ToyVoyager but unfortunately his mum didn't allow... Then we explored the flat that was a gold mine for ToyVoyagers as you can see ![]() Yours Mefito |

Today we drove to Dortmund by train for meeting Strunki and olgamaus! It was so great to see them and some of my old friends and my brothers again!
After visiting the a big St. Nicholas, a big Christmas pyramide and the very big Christmas tree we went into a café together with all the other ToyVoyagers. It was great to sit there with GustavHH, Charlotte, Hase, HelmutBluepant, Kirin, Soeren, DottyCroc, Dutchy the Lion, OleOrangescarf, Josie, UrselHH, Frederik, SunnyHH, Störte, Sargent Froggo and *Nick* talking about our adventures...and it was great to talk with my four brothers! Today noon a mysterious parcel arrived. We were not waiting for another ToyVoyager so we wondered what could be in it.
Mum said that it was a Christmas parcel from Strunki so we should wait until Christmas. But suddenly we heard a voice: "Set me free!!!" ![]() Under this circumstances of course we were allowed to open the parcel as fast as we could. A funny face appeared. "Hi, I'm Paris the dromedary and I'm no ToyVoyager and I don't want to become a ToyVoyager. I travelled from Christmas fair to Christmas fair my whole life and so I would be very happy to find a real home", Paris the dromedary said. Mum was as happy as we to meet Paris and invited her to stay in her home. "Great", Paris said, "Now I've only to find a place where I can jump up and down but that's not urgent." And then she showed us a nice postcard, nice pictures and yummy chocolate from Strunki, her TVs and her guests ![]() That's for today Mefito |

Today the sun was shining, optimal conditions for our 'First Silvester Shopping Trolley Outdoor Race' ![]() We went to an hill where Paris marked starting line and finishing line. Than she sat down at the finishing line with her stopwatch...the race could begin! OleOrangescarf was the first starter. He pushed the trolley, jumped in and raced downhill. "14,99 seconds!" Paris shouted and noted down the result. I was the next. "14,92!" Then the first team started: Sargent Froggo pushed the trolley with SunnyHH in it and jumped in..."14,71"!!! Then the the girls started... "14,98!" Paris shouted. So we had the winners: Sargent Froggo and SunnyHH!!! Back home we had a presentation ceremony. What could be in? A very flat ToyVoyager? ![]() SunnyHH opened it and crawled in...and guess what he pulled out: the flying carpet of my brother Sidney L. But where was Sidney? The enclosed postcard gave the answer: Sidney has travelled to Alaksa and has forgotten his flying carpet in Australia! ![]() How has he travelled without flying with his carpet? We must ask him when he'll be back home... Today morning we were just playing hide and seek in the garden when a strange figure appeared ![]() When he came nearer we saw that it was Monsti pulling a pirate ship!! Of course we asked him where he came from with such a ship and then he told us a fantastic story: fitted out with a map he started from his hometown Stuttgart many days ago. He wanted to travel by train, bus and hitchhiking. Wow! The first stage worked very well but after a while he found no Train, no bus, no car and hat to go on travelling by foot ![]() When we looked closely at the ship I recognized: it was the ship of my brother Störte which he had lost on his journey from Austria to Remscheid!!! I had a nice view over the Elbe River. ![]() Hamburg’s port is really beautiful. ![]() We came near to the both musical halls. ![]() Me in front of the skyline of the port. ![]() This is the Elbphilharmonie – a very expensive building. ![]() I looked to another part of the port – the cruise terminal – but there is no cruise ship today. ![]() Another boat – it pushed another one. ![]() And here is the part where they load and unload big ships. ![]() It was a nice trip for us TVs, RikeH had a hard time, because it was really cold – and her fingers got so cold! Hello Mum,
It was time for some sports – and we decided to play billiards. Dicker Kumpel explained the rules. ![]() He showed us how to play. ![]() Then it was my time. ![]() It was so much fun! ![]() Unfortunately I lost with 08:03. ![]() Then I explored the room. A horse lived here in the Past, I guess. ![]() ![]() Then I tried to call you, but maybe you were not at home. ![]() ![]() Love Mefito |

Hello Mum,
Dicker Kumpel received a game from his friend Murph – and today we wanted to play it. ![]() There were some chocolate bars with photos of wild animals on it. Well – a nice game – looking at photos. ![]() But it was not that easy. They were turned on the wrong side and you can turn two. If they were the same photos you won the chocolate, if not you turn it again – and search new pairs, when it’s your turn. First I found two different animals. ![]() It really was not an easy game. ![]() But I found the second meerkat. ![]() ![]() When we finished the game I was really good with two pairs – hopefully you are proud of me, Mum! ![]() Dicker Kumpel who won the most pairs shared two pieces of chocolate with us. ![]() It was yummy, Mum! ![]() Love Mefito |

Hello Mum,
Happy Easter! Today it is the Day of the Bunnies! We all sat in the sunshine and waited for RikeH. ![]() She arrived and told us that the Easter Bunny has been here – and we could start searching for some sweets! ![]() I found some chocolate! ![]() Then we went to another part of the garden – here we should have a race for eggs. ![]() We all were ready to run! ![]() Look – I had a great forth place! ![]() ![]() Later we found this great plant – chocolate lollipops are growing in it! ![]() A great place – and we wanted to send Birthday wishes to a very special friend! Happy Birthday my good friend Helmutbluepant! ![]() This was the first part of Easter – tomorrow we will meet the Eater Bunny! ![]() Love Mefito |

Hello Mum,
Today was an exciting day, too. We went to visit Dicker Kumpel’s grandma. Many bunnies were living there. ![]() I would love to send you these beautiful flowers! ![]() And I met these hens – I think they worked hard for Easter. ![]() Maybe these were the children of the hens? ![]() Then I met the Easter Bunny. This was so great – it was very nice and friendly. ![]() ![]() When we came back to Dicker Kumpel’s home we went into the garden and saw two beautiful trees. ![]() ![]() And I really like this yellow plant! ![]() Love Mefito |

Hello Mum,
I had a wonderful time here, but now it is time to come back home. I had a last walk through the garden. Look at this plant – no more chocolate growing in it – but many more flowers. ![]() The blue flowers were nice, too. ![]() These flowers just started blooming this week. ![]() And I love this tree, do you know it? ![]() Then it was time to say goodbye to Dicker Kumpel. ![]() The others gave me big hug. ![]() But this cannot be the end – Dicker Kumpel, Kleine Fee and I have a great plan – I will tell you more about it at home. ![]() Until soon Mefito |

Our first stop on our luxurious train-journey to Rome was Munich.
A nice town if you asked me. Suddenly somebody said: "Look, the Peter's place! We've arrived Rome!" But unfortunately in Munich there's such a place as well ![]() The Peter's church has got a tower that you're allowed to climb up and of course we did. Great view! After a while we entered the next train, the night train to Rome! The sleeping car invited us to play a bit before having a night meal and then sleeping. Good night, when we'll awake we'll be in Italy ![]() Yours Mefito |

mcdaniels Posted May 18, 2014, 7:07 pm |
When we wake up in the early morning we looked out of the window immediately for getting a first impression of Italy...
In Rome we were very happy to arrive our nice little holiday flat near the Vaticanian wall. After a short time we walked to the city for the first time and were very impressed with the Engelsburg (castle of angels), the Engelsbrücke, the bridge across the river Tiber, the famous Piazza Navona and the very very old Pantheon. Back home we needed some chocolate and felt into bed. That was our first day in the great town Rome. Yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 19, 2014, 7:27 pm |
Today we visited the cathedral St. Peter for the first time. Wow! It looked very great and the place with it's fountains as well.
After these impressions we needed a refreshment: ICE CREAM IN ROME...LIFE MISSION!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Then we visited the famous Trevi fountain. You have to throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, that brings luck and let you come back to Rome some time. In the course of a year there are thousands of Euros, Dollars etc. on the ground of the fountain which are for a good cause. Back home we sat on the steps in front of our house. The small street is only for pedestrians, very good! That's it for today, good night, yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 19, 2014, 9:09 pm |
This morning we studied the map of Rome and tried to decide what to visit today. After three hours we reached an agreement but before starting we needed a refreshment...tea and cookies ![]() Then we started to the church St. Giovanni in Laterano with it's very nice inner courtyard. On our way to the famous Colosseum we saw Oranges! The Colosseum was very impressive just as the Forum Romanum we visited next. Back home we had no questions any more... Yours Mefito |

mcdaniels Posted May 20, 2014, 9:38 pm |
Guess what, there're bananas in our street!!!
mcdaniels Posted May 21, 2014, 10:43 am |
Today we went to the basilica San Paolo fuori le Mura. This basilica with it's inner courtyard had been built up above the grave of the apostel Paul. Have a look at this great church!
Back home we sat together in front of our house and enjoyed the sunny evening. Yours Mefito |

mcdaniels Posted May 22, 2014, 8:59 pm |
Today we walked through Rome for visiting the very famous Spanish stairs. Our way leeded us through the via delle Conziliazione, along the river Tevere and through typical narrow streets.
The Spanish steps looked great but there were so many people that you couldn't see much of it. In the afternoon we went to the basilica St. Peter for entering the tower. Wow! What a sight!!! After this long day we were very happy but tired and glad to be back in our street cliva delle muro vaticano. |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 22, 2014, 9:34 pm |
Today we visited the old piramide, built up more than 2000 years ago.
Next to the piramide there is the old graveyard of the non-catholic people behind a very tall wall. That's for today. |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 26, 2014, 5:52 pm |
Today we took another walk through Rome.
We saw some typical houses, some lemon trees, climbed some old steps and saw an observatory from a long way away. Through the trees we could throw a glance at Rome. Back on the St. Peter's place we enjoyed the basilica in the evening light. Yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 26, 2014, 8:05 pm |
Today we visited the famous park Villa Borghese, a large recreation area in the middle of this big city. At the weekend the park is full of Roman families but on Monday it was really empty.
Next to the entrance there was a nice fountain. In the park there was a lake with little rowing boats and of course we rowed ![]() ![]() On the way back home we saw a typical 'refreshment-car'. Good night! |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 27, 2014, 6:32 pm |
Today we visited Trastevere, a very nice district with the real Roman flair. The pictures speak for themselves...
We walked uphills to the Piazzale Giuseppe Garibaldi and had a fantastic view of the city! And on the way back we discovered a funny cake ![]() Yours Mefito |
||
mcdaniels Posted May 27, 2014, 8:46 pm |
Today we walked through typical old streets to the Campo de Fiori with it's famous statue of the monk and philosopher Giordano Bruno who had been killed as a heretic in 1600.
Then we visited the Isola Tiberina (the island in the middle of river Tevere) and walked back home along the river. Yours Mefito |

mcdaniels Posted May 29, 2014, 5:43 pm |
Today it was Wavy Gravy's birthday, so he could decide where we wanted to go: the botanical garden. Great idea!
What a garden!!! We visited the palms, the garden for blind people, the rose garden, wild orchids, the ferns, the bamboos, the Japanese garden, the mediterranean wood, the gymnosperms, mediterranean plants, monumental trees, the medicinical plants and a house full of cactusses. Can you find out what is what? ![]() It was a great day! Yours Mefito |

In the morning we visited our last church (Maria Maggiore) and then mum had a surprise for us: Wavy-Gravy-birthday-icecream! Yummy ![]() Before we went to the train station we met hundreds of Pinocchios...nice to meet you! And then we got on train. A last look to Rome...it was a great holiday! Byebye and good night! Today another small parcel arrived! And a nice cow crawled out of it. "Hi, I'm Paulina", she said, "and this is my first journey as a TV." We all introduced ourselves and hugged her. Then she showed us the nice postcard and the sweets she's brought with her. For the rest of the day we sat together talking about TV-life and this and that...

When mum was at work today we played hide-and-seek for almost the whole morning.
*Nick* had to search first. He counted to 100 and we others looked for good hiding places. Have a look! Then *Nick* started to search...and after a long time he found one after the other apart from Frederik. Though Frederik hadn't a real hiding place he wasn't found cause he's so small nobody can see him when he sits somewhere... We played and played cause everybody had to search alternately. It was a great morning!!! Yours Mefito |
