Mefito is still on his way to Ukraine. I'm daily waiting for a sign of life, hoping he can celebrate New Year and Christmas at his first host.

Dear Mama! I've arrived to Ukraine. The way was long and I was very tired. When I came home I was well met. Anna liked our postcard and she said ''THANK YOU'' :)
Than I drunk tea and watched TV but I didn't understand Ukrainian. So Anna translated me some phrases.
Well, mum, I'm going to bed. I'll write you about my adventures tomorrow.
Your Mefito.

Dear mum!
Yesterday I met Gosha a parrot, Chuk and Gek the hamsters. They are so funny. Gosha is traditional name for parrots in Ukraine :)
My host was sick so we couldn't go anywhere. I drunk hot chocolate, ate tangerines and persimmon. In the evening host told me about postcrossind and showed me a postcards she received from other countries. It's so interesting!
I love you, mummy! Yours, Mefito.

Yesterday I met a new friend - Sasha the squirrel. She is so nice and she likes to sing.
This morning I helper prepare a pizza and hot chocolate. I did all I could! After breakfast we went to the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama. We went to underground. We watched a funny presentation titled "Fat Pig". After performance we went to Independence Square. It's a main square in Kyyiv. I saw a Santa, Mickey Mouse, pony, Christmas tree. Then we went to post. I helped my host send a postcards to USA, Germany, Poland and Russia. When we came home I was very tired and frozen because weather is cold today. Host allowed me to drink a little bear. Than we watch X-mas comedy titled "The Irony of Fate, or Enjoy Your Bath!". I laughed so hard :)
Now we are preparing a cake. Host celebrates today Christmas. She isn't a Catholic but her grandfather was Pole so she celebrates Christmas twice a year. Tomorrow we will go to Cathedral.
Merry Christmas mummy! Good night. Yours, Mefito.

Dear Mom.
Today we went back to home. We were at the concert of the famous Ukrainian writer Yuri Andrukhovych. It was so unusual and interesting! The concert was called "Absinthe", but everyone was sober :) December 28th, we went to the my host's grandmother. We decorated the Christmas tree. Then Anna showed me her grandmother's embroidery. These flowers look like a real! Then we drunk tea and watched movies about new year all night. And then we went sleep.

Happy New Year, Mom!
We celebrated New Year with my host's mum and grandmother. We watched speech of the President and make a wish at midnight. I hope my wish will come true! We drank champagne and ate salad "Olivier." It's a traditional dish for the new year and I helped cooked it.

Yours Mefito.

Hi mama!
Yesterday we went to the Landscaped Alley. It's very interesting and beautiful place. I saw The Little Prince, huge cat portraits of cute girls, colorful birds, seahorses and angel. Weather was cold so then we went to cafe and drunk a cup of coffee.
Love you. Your Mefito.

I am back home!!!
Today I came home from my long and very nice journey to Kiew, Ukraine. Many many thanks to my hostmum, her family and friends! They were so kind and we had a nice time together!
When I looked out of my little parcel, I was so happy to see all my old friends and Mummy! Before hugging they admired my scarf and friendship-bracelet (thank you, hostmum, they kept me warm on my long way home) and my little presents. Then I gave a hug to Mummy, Nick, Claas, Mary, Madrid and Peter (unfortunately my best friend Störte isn't at home at the moment) and got to know Mademoiselle Poupoule and Tiffy who is on their first trip as a TV. Tiffy accompanied me out for getting some fresh air, relaxing in the sun and exchange our experiences of our first journeys. When we came back my old and new friends gave me skunk-card playing and a skunk-figurine as a welcome-present!
And now we will sit together the whole night, talking and celebrating my return...

Posted Apr 9, 2012, 12:34 pm
Happy Easter!!!
For my Mum I had practised an Easter song with a bunny quintet. The bunnies sang loudly and shrilly... very nice, Mummy said  :p
Last night Tiffy and I accompanied Mum and Dad hiding many many Easter bunnies in front of their friend's homes. Tiffy and I carried the bunnies to the houses, and we had to be VERY quiet so that we didn't get caught. In front of one house I had to sneeze and suddenly the light went on  :o We had to jump behind a shrub and wait...the light went out. That was close!
After a few hours our bunny-bag was nearly empty. By way of thanks Tiffy and I got the last two bunnies  :D
Before reaching home I felt to sleep...too many excitements for a little skunk...

Posted Apr 17, 2012, 11:07 am
Yesterday my best friend Störte came back home! We haven't seen each other since last December!
Tiffy and I were standing there waiting for his pirate ship..and there he was!
Cause I'm a gentleman I let Tiffy welcome her Störte first, but then we gave us a long hug! After that Störte was spinning his yarn for a few hours and I told him about my experiences in Kiew.
As I said, I'm a gentleman, and so I retired after a while  ;)

Posted Apr 19, 2012, 11:18 am
Tomorrow Tiffy, Störte and I will start to three new hosts, so yesterday we went on our farewell trip. We drove on our favourite path, climbed up our favourite tree, sat on our favourite bench and between our favourite flowers and were a bit sad, because we have to say goodbye to Tiffy  :(
But of course we are excited as well and look forward to our new hosts and friends  :D
And today evening we will celebrate our farewell party!

Posted Apr 20, 2012, 4:51 pm
Wow, what a fantastic farewell party...

Posted Apr 21, 2012, 5:25 pm
Today we welcomed Hermann, an absolute HSV- football-fan! He showed us his HSV little presents and it was breathtaking!!! I'm HSV fan as well, so we both listened to the Radio and gave us a hug: HSV got one point today!
And Monday morning I will travel to Hermann's mum!

Posted Apr 22, 2012, 6:01 pm
Tomorrow I will travel to my new host, so today it was time to say goodbye to my friends, especially to Tiffy and Hermann who will be anywhere else when I will come back home.
Before crawling in our envelopes Hermann and I decorated our car...very nice! And nom I'm very excited, because I'll travel next to Hamburg, the town of my favourite football team  :)

Dear Mom & Dad,
first of all I want to say that I´m fine! I was only a short time in the dark envelope - when it opened I find myself in the North of Germany, it´s a nice town call Neumünster, the 4th biggest city of Schleswig-Holstein with a population about 79.000.
My host-mum works in the inner city of Neumünster in the touristinformation and a ticket-center as well. It calls Konzertbüro Auch & Kneidl. But have a look at those nice pictures we took the first two days.
By the way I´m very excited to go to my first football game to the big stadium in Hamburg calls Volksparkstadion (this is the old name which take all real fans, but the new name is Imtech Arena). On Saturday it will be very very interesting there, because my hosts favourite team is the Hamburger SV as you can see on the next photos ( be careful, she´s a little bit crazy!!!!). Till next time! Love you!

Dear family and friends,
today I had a lazy day. It was very exciting the two days I´m here, so I took a little break.
My hosts got two crazy cats as you can see on these pictures. So I thought I had to made a good impression to them - you´ll never know how good it could be..... On the pictures it looks like them sisters, but it isn´t. The first one on the brown ground is Gutschie often known as Gucci but thats wrong. She is very very strange, but on the other side a very normal cat.
Then I met the 2nd one called Cindy - she´s totally crazy two but in a special way. She told me, that she lost her mother with the age of 3 weeks. She was found by a stranger in a box near a rubbish skip. But now she is almost 18 years old and one of her special habits is to sucks a wool-cover on the bed. When she do this she gives those typical cat sound like to purr but much louder. When the door bell rings she wants to crawl under the bed-cover of my hosts bed. But she was very nice when we went to bed at night, I slept next to her between her and my host-mum. I had a good night and a lazy day because I was alone with Gutschie and Cindy and we stayed the whole time in bed or in front of the TV. Tomorrow my hosts son would play an own football match here in Neumünster. There we will take some new photos.
For this time I say good-bye to you and Daddy - I´m very tired of doing nothing!! Love you, miss you, hug you in my thoughts! Good night!

Dear Mom and Dad,
today we had to do those boring things like bring bottles away to get some money for it and go shopping urgently food and drinking. As you can see I was very hungry so I tried the cucumber immediatly in the car.
In the evening we watches TV and my hostmum made me a special cloth for tomorrow when we want to visit the Volkspark-Stadion in Hamburg to watch HSV.
See you later I´m in hurry! Love U!

Hello everybody!
Yesterday was a real great day for all of us! First we had a delicious breakfast in Hamburg where my hostson met his father - it was very nice to get some food which is not made by my hostmum.....just kidding!
After the meeting we drove to the big Volkspark-Stadion where "our" HSV plays gorgeous football (hopefully!). The best before: We got a parking place just in front of the stadium, because my hostmum got a pass for handicapped persons. They can park only a few meters away from the stadium, because they can´t go not so good by feet.
Then we were in front of the stadium to take a photo from this huge thing. I MADE MY FIRST MISSION!!!!! :D
HSV played against FSV Mainz 05 - its last game in this back round at home. Next week will be the last game for this time against Augsburg, what we want to see in television.

Posted Apr 29, 2012, 5:57 pm
We went into the stadium and watched a little bit around. We saw a little fan-shop - not the big store, because this one is completely full of people so we couldn´t get enough air to breath!
Then we went to our places in the block 21 C. In the next block 22 C there are the loudest fans ever. They called "Urgestein" because the HSV ist the team which is the whole time in the first Bundesliga ever! The block 22 C gives a song first and then the whole people in the stadium gave the answer to it (but not the guest fans!!). Then it is always very loud there, I promise I tried it out!!!
The HSV played a boring 0:0, but it´s ok because they were in this season not so good, it was very difficult to stay in the first Bundesliga. Through this game and some lucky games of other teams we (the HSV!) can be also next season in the first Bundesliga.
But watch the pics! It was amazing! I send you many many hugs and kisses! :D

After this great visit in Hamburg we had to move back to Neumünster where my hostmum took me with to a supermarket. There I saw a strange green-red thing called rhubarb! I never saw this before, luckely my hostmum didn´t buy this! We only needed some things so we left the supermarket soon.
At home I was so tired that I slept immediatly! But not without thinking of you - I want to visit the Volkspark-Stadion with you and Dad together, maybe some day! Send you big hugs and many kisses! Yours Mefito

Hello everybody!
Today my hostmum had a date in Hamburg at a hospital for a radiological examination. But I had to stay in the cabin, so we have no photo of it, because the doctor didn´t allow it.
After that we made a little break at the famous store of IKEA. There my hostmum bought urgent things like candles and so on. It was very boring for me, because there were no other animal like me. But it was ok, because we drove very fast on the motorway to Neumünster, that was very funny just like in a rollercoaster.....
Many hugs for you!! Yours Mefito

Dear Loveones,
on Friday last week my hostmum and her son Tom Robinson did some homework like cleaning the house and so on. It was very necessary so I gave my help, but it wasn´t easy as it seems because I´m to small for the mop. In the evening it was a little bit funnier for me because the meal was so delicious! Especially the french fries were so yummy! You have to try it when I´m back home! Big hugs, yours Mefito

Dear Mum and Dad,
yesterday in the evening I was really tired because cleaning the house was very exhausting!
Today we hadt to do the normal things at the weekend, first we were at a supermarket to give bottles back. There was a strange machine which took the bottles in its body. Then it made such horrible noise you can´t imagine! But hostmum told me that it is normal at those machines, puuuhhh!!
After that hostmum had to sell a lot of things at ebay, mostly clothes of her and Tom. So I helped a little bit with my gorgeous vocabulary! So I described the things and hostmum did the photos! I think many people want to buy now the clothes.....more than before, sure!
In the evening we were very lazy lying on the sofa with Coke and chips. It was very relaxed only to watch stupid television. But sometimes it must be! See you later!

Hi there!
Yesterday hostson Tom Robinson had a football match at his club the TSV Gadeland, Gadeland is a suburb of Neumünster and it is only 5 minutes by car away from the apartment.
While Tom did his warm-up hostmum said hello to everybody in the pub which is by the club. There was a real nice dog called Lady. But she was very frightened of me, she had to take a smell of my special fur!
Toms team won this match against the team of Nortorf (a little village near Neumünster) 10:1!! Its a little bit different instead of the HSV! We had real nice weather, so I took some views around the place.
In the next days my hostmum will get a decision from her doctor if she has to plan a urgent operation at her back because she has a slipped disc and her left leg is "out of order". But I think I can stay here a little bit longer. If its not so, I will write to you soon, promised! Big kisses, yours Mefito

I took for you a very special photo on Mothers Day with a self-made heart for you!
Mummy, I miss you very much, but in the next days I´m on my next trip to Austria! First I want to show you some exciting things I did here.

Dear Mum,
today we were at a football match again. It was not so interesting so I watched a little bit around and then I found a very strange animal....a vineyard snail called in Germany. It was funny to see how it made a short way in such a long time.....
Also I had the chance to sit between the very important balls.

Dear family,
today I helped in the household! There was a lot of dishes to take out of the dishwasher, then I made the laundry. After that I took the food we bought into the refrigerator.
All these things were so powerful that I was very tired after the work. Hostmum allowed me to sleep on her side in the big bed because there is always a heating pad which warmed me up.
Tomorrow hostmum allowed me to sit in front of the car when she drive home from the work. Her son said, that he wanted to eat something from Mc D.´s - so we want to bring it home. I´m very excited because it´s always a little adventure to drive by car with hostmum!!!!

Hi there,
as I told yesterday we were at Mc Donald´s at the drive in. Maybe you can see the sticker on the car in front of us - naturally a HSV-fan! Very good!
Then we took the food very fast home not without taken some pictures on the way. As I told yesterday, hostmum has a very special driving style....
If I will save my life, I ´ll write again the next days.
Hostmum Anja told me, that my next station is in Austria - maybe I can get there some really good food. I heard about it like there is Kaiserschmarrn, Wiener Schnitzel and Palatschinken. I hope I can try it!
Hostmums TV Hermann was in Austria last year she told me and he was a little bit "fatter" than before - sorry Hermann! ;)

Dear friends at home,
now I haven´t so much time to get very good adventures here in Germany! Hostmum told me, that I will leave her and Tom on Saturday right in direction Austria!
But before this we took some nice pics in the city of Neumünster. As you remember, Hostmum works in the Tourist-Information right in the middle of the town. There will be the next four days the 2nd biggest party in Schleswig-Holstein. Its called Holstenköste and it´s an event with lots of roller coasters, many food and only music and alcohol. So we took some pictures about the beginning and building.
Tomorrow will start the UEFA European Champion Ship in Poland and the Ukraine - sure that I´m with it! Maybe I can get a new jersey for it! Let´s see!

Hi everybody,
before leaving Neumünster I will show you some new pictures. Hostmum Anja took me with to her physiotherapist Heike. Heike was very friendly and allowed us to tkae pictures in her rooms. Ther are some very strange gym-things like this huge ball on the photo but I know thats good for everyones health.
The Last pictures are naturally about the European Championship of Football. It started today and of course I saw a big opening party and some first matches. Here you can see, that Anja made me a special jersey which I can take with me on my journey to Austria starting tomorrow. I´m sooooooo excited! Wow, the match of Russia against the czech team was very powerful and with a very good 4:1 for Russia. So the Championship can go on! Lots of love to all friends and especially to you Mummy! I miss you so much but its also so nice to meet so many new people and things arround the world! Bye bye yours Mefito! Also I want to say thank you to Anja and her son Tom, too! Hi Mum!

I arrived in Hexham today.  It was quite a long journey.  I could hear shuffling and scratching on my box...

And then, there was light!  I saw that there were three TVs to great me; Paula Hip, Lizzy Lizard & Imperio.

They're all very friendly and made me feel very welcome.  They also said that tomorrow they would show me around the area.  :-)

Posted Aug 30, 2012, 2:04 pm
Hi Mum!

The past few days have been pretty awful weather wise.  It's been raining and raining and raining...

But today the rain finally stopped!  So hostmum took us in to Newcastle to show us around.  Things didn't go according to plan though...

First she showed us Grey's Monument.  It was built in 1838 to commemorate Earl Grey and the Great Reform Act of 1832, which changed British politics.

Then we stopped at one of hostmum's favourite cafes and she bought me a delicious cupcake as a treat!  :D

And then... hostmum's camera broke!  :o  We had to find a camera repair shop and they said it would take a couple of weeks to fix.  And then it started to rain again...  So we went back home.

Hostmum has promised us that we'll go back to Newcastle to continue to explore, and hostmum's mum has given her her camera in the meantime.

Things are certainly eventful here!  :)

Posted Sep 3, 2012, 1:47 pm
Hi Mum,

It's been raining almost non-stop recently, so when it did finally stop raining, we quickly got our things together and went for a walk in the countryside.

Hostmum says that this is a typical view of the Northumberland countryside.

We came across this little village - I thought it was quite funny that it's called 'Wall'.

Then we went deeper in to the wild...

Look how pretty the forest is.  Almost magical...

We even came across a little waterfall and stream!

It was great getting back in touch with nature, Mum.

Hi Mum,

Today was a fun day.  We went to Alnwick (pronounced Ann-ick) and explored the gardens of the stately house, which was created by the Duchess of Northumberland, and is a big tourist attraction now.

This is the Poison Garden - there's all sorts of poisonous plants here.  You can only go inside if you join a tour, and the really poisonous plants are in a cage.

There's a pretty little pond in the gardens as well, with lots of wildlife - especially ducks!

Then we walked through a cherry orchard - it's the biggest orchard of its kind in the world.

This is the Ornamental garden, full with beautiful plants.

Then we took a stroll through the rose garden.

I also managed to get lost in the bamboo labyrinth!  It took me about 20 minutes to find my way out again...

Then we saw a honeybee observatory - we could see the honeybees busy at work.

Don't these grapes look delicious?  They're used to make local wine.

This tree-house is actually a restaurant!

And you have to cross this swing bridge to get to it!

Hi Mum,

You'll never guess what - I'm in China!  We started traveling on Monday, and we arrived in the afternoon on Tuesday.  We're still pretty jetlagged, but that didn't stop us from going to see the Great Wall of China!

To get there we had to walk up this street, which is full of stalls and people trying to get tourists to buy their souvenirs.

Once we were on the wall, the view was amazing.

This massive pot was used to store oil in, so when the guards spotted an attack, they could raise the alarm by setting the oil on fire (like in the Disney movie 'Mulan').

It was such a great place to see!

Hi Mum!

Today we went to see the Temple of Heaven in Beijing.

Originally, there were only seven of these stones, and they represented the seven peaks of Taishan Mountain, which was used as a place to prayer in ancient China.

Here you can see the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests.

The hall was surrounded by quite a few other religious buildings.

One of the Emperors had this door built, as he was 70 and his health was declining.  However, he didn't want his sons to become lazy and always use this as a short cut, so he made the law that you could only use this door once you had reached 70 - hence the name of it; the 70-year-old-door.

And finally, here you can see me in front of the Imperial Vault of Heaven.

Hi Mum,

Today we visited the 798 District, which is also known as the art district.

It was very interesting seeing all the different styles of art and exploring all the galleries.

I really liked this one - it's so colourful!

Hi Mum!

Guess where I was today!  Can you guess?  No?  I was at the Forbidden City!

It was used as the Imperial Palace for over 500 years.

In total, 24 Emperors lived here.

It's so big!

The whole place is over 960m long!

It also has a very pretty imperial garden.

Hi Mum,

Since we're leaving China tomorrow, all of us are hanging out at our hosts house.  They have a massive hammock here, it's so much fun!

I've also been playing with the animals.  This is Lugnut.

And here I am with Mecredi.

Hi Mum,

We're all slowly recovering from the jet-lag.  Well, when I say 'we' I mean hostmum!  Us TVs haven't been affected by it too much, but hostmum sure is sleeping weird hours!  So while she's recovering, we've all been having fun with the stuff we bought back from China.

Can you guess what this is?  It's a hat!

And this is some tea that hostmum bought back - it's very tasty.

And of course, we had to bring back something yummy to eat.

Hey mum!
It´s me Mefito. I am really sorry that you didn´t hear from me for so long.
I was a long time in the dark envelope.
But then my new host-mum opened it and now I can finally see my new home.

Here are many other plushies. A pink monster, called Ui and a turtle with a big head, called Pauline, were the first who welcomed me.

Mum, you know what ?
I met another skunk. His name is Stinkfi and he looks just like me. Okay he is taller but he could be my brother.

I write you tomorrow!
Love, Mefito.

Hey mum!

We went for a walk in the forest. But not only to enjoy the woods. We were looking for some Geocaches.

We arrived a little pond. The "Tiroler-Weiher".
Pretty small and pretty dirty. But the atmosphere at this place is beautiful.

We found a statue of the "Grüngürteltier". That´s the mascot of the large forest in Frankfurt.

A few steps further we found another statue of this animal.
This one "guarded" a little viewing point.

After a few hours in the forest we started to find our last cache for the day.
I got it!

Love and kisses,

Hello mum!

I went with my host-mom in the old part of Frankfurt.
In the center point of the town.
Here I saw two of the famous sights.

At first the St. Paul´s Church, "Paulskirche".

Today the church is no longer used as a church. Now you can visit some displays or go to little events.

The next stop was the "Römer". One of the most important landmarks in Frankfurt.
Its´s a "Standesamt".

Across from the Römer you can see these old houses.

Hey Mom!
Today we took a little walk and go the "Main" River.
From a bridge you got a wonderful view of Frankfurt´s skyline.

See here:

I met TobiHH and we talked very nice

Oink was very cute to me
Uuuhh, I like this nice girl from the very first moment ;)

Lotte took me to her favourite place, her poppy-blossom and we huggled together

Hi Mum,

Great news: Today our holiday to the Northern Sea will start!

So we all packed our things we need there and Strunki cared that we have a safe seat :cyclops:
Well, that´s quite o.k. for a photo, but she convinced us that we would have a better view out of the car when we turn around  B)
O.K., let´s start our way to Büsum  :D

Posted Jul 12, 2013, 7:12 am
Now we have done the most of the journey and drive to direction Hamburg :D
There we we see the first views of Hamburg, Helmut is so happy to see the town again, he told me he liked it being there with RikeH and the other plushies
But we want to go further so we have to drive trough the Elbtunnel
Woow, that tunnel is quite amazing

Posted Jul 12, 2013, 7:22 am
During the travel we had a lot of fun together
Me with Oink :p  ...and the sun has quite a very romantic light B)

Then we passed the Channel that connects the Northern and the Baltic sea

Now its not so far anymore and the rest of the way is done very fast
This windmill looks great

Posted Jul 12, 2013, 7:26 am
Now we are in Büsum and had a late dinner there under the sky :D
And we are very happy and tired enough to have a nice place in the sleeping-bag :cyclops:
That was our first day of the holiday and more will follow :D

Love You Mum and give hugs to the others at home
Yours Mefito

Hi Mum,

today the weather was not as sunny as the days before, the people told us...
So Helmut had to wait until he can put his shovel into the sand...

But we spent a nice day at the harbour of Büsum and saw a lot of ships
Most of them are shrimp boats, because Büsum is famous for shrimpfishing

Here is a ship at the wharf
Nice to see people working when you are on holiday :cyclops:

But we didn´t only see ships there
This is an old light-fire

And here are some tons and nets from older times

And here You can see the modern lighthouse of Büsum

In the centre a nice clock

And a train for tourists

Some ships came in
and some came out of the harbour

But we also saw some animals, can You see the little hatchlings of the black-headed gull [Larus ridibundus]?

Then we drove bicycle and bought some shrimps
Here I am with my "mum for a little time", Charlotte :D

What a nice first full day

That´s it for the day, love You Mum

Hi Mum,

today we spent the complete day on the beach of Büsum: The new Pearl Lagoon. Altough heaven was very cloudy, it wasn´t very cold...until the wind came...
There is a dam in the middle where You can walk on to the sandy beach
This is the view from the other side
And here to the sea itself
A lot of colurful tents with shops are there

The first we did was playing in the sand
Helmut with his shovel filled a bucket with sand
There we built a little castle of sand

Then he had fun on the water

We chilled in a huge swingcircle
That was a lot of fun for us all :D

In the afternoon we heard a shanty choire singing
Helmut knew most of the songs and sang the whole time.
Together with Oink I swayed to the music  :cyclops:

I like her very much :D

That was it for today, tomorrow we plan to drive to Friederichskoog and want to visit the seal-station

Hello Mum,

today we visited the Sealstation in Friedrichskoog, founded in the early 80thies to hatch baby seals lost their mothers
There is a large tower to climb on and You have a wonderful view all over the landscape

At first we learned the difference between a common seal or harbour seal and a grey seal

Then we climbed on the tower to have a first view from above
There You can see a building formed as a whale, it´s an indoor-playground for children

In the pools are a lot of small baby seals to hatch
They have been found on the beaches at the northern sea without their mothers and brought here to take care of them until they are old enough

But You can also watch adult seals.
The huge dark one is a grey seal
and this is a harbour seal
They are not able to live on their own because they were ill as babys

Can You see me on the largest seal I have ever seen?

Here I am with a real seal

At the end alltogether we donated an amount for the station

What a nice and informative place

In the afternoon we vistited Meldorf, a very old town with an impressive dome, almost a cathedral.

The first we did was drinking koffee at the nice "Dome-Café" at the market, it was a very good advice by You, Mummy, You know the place very well, and, Meldorf is also the birthplace of Soeren, Your funny elk.
See us plushies having coffee, strawberry-cake and a huge portion of curd with honey and crunchies :p

Then we saw some nice old houses there around the market

The dome was still open in the afternoon

So we went into the dome and saw the impressive interiour there
Light was a little bit difficult, Strunki apologizes for that

Before we went home we saw this nice blooming rosebush at a house
I loved it to take a bath in theese wonderful roses

That was a nice sunday here in the North

See You soon, give You lots of kisses and hugs, love You Mum

Hi Mum,

today we drove to the Eidersperrwerk, that is a huge protection building against storm tides and connects Dithmarschen in the south and Eiderstedt in the north
It was built between 1967 and 1973 and has its 40th anniversary this year

It is almost 250m long and about 15m high
There You can see the huge double portals to close or to open up and down

Here we are on the top, you can walk above and the cars drive under the way

There is a bridge that can be opened for ships

From the top You have a beautiful view on the river Eider

But we want to go on by car and so we drove the tunnel
That was exciting!

Posted Jul 17, 2013, 6:03 am
After the Eidersperrwerk we drove on to St.-Peter-Ording.
In the old village are nice houses with beautiful gardens

Strunki promised us that there is also a large beach with a lot of sand where we can build sandcastles
Such a castle we want to build :cyclops:

O.K., let´s drive to the beach
Well, not only TO the beach but ON the beach itsself
This place is the only one in Germany where You are allowed to drive on the beach by car, its unique...

Together with Oink I digged a moat around our castle
I must admit, it hasn´t the same size of the sandcastle we saw in the village but we had a lot of fun building it

After so much work we had to recreate in the beachchair

Then we found a kite
It was complete and so we started kiting

After kiting and so much activities on the beach we had to chill out again in a lounge at one of the famous stilt houses
What a great place (when the sun shines...)

Posted Jul 17, 2013, 6:20 am
On our way back from St.-Peter-Ording we made a short trip to Toenning
This is an old town with nice houses and a beautiful small harbour
What a full day :D

Posted Jul 17, 2013, 1:29 pm
Today we visited another very old town with interesting dutch architecture and small water canals trough the town
Here are some first impressions from the market place and the dutch facades
Here is one of the canals with nice bridges

Everywhere You find nice portals and rosebushes at the housefronts
The people even have flowers planted in their boats...

Then we had the idea to make a guided roundtrip through the canals by boat
That was a great fun to see the town from the waterside
I like this bridge in dutch style
Now we are on the river Treene
See the nice water lilies there
A great day with much to see

See You soon Mum, love and hugs

Hi Mum,

today we made a walk across the mudflats and saw some interesting things
At first we noticed the sign that You have to be careful because of the tide
Then we started our walk
and found our first shell
Helmut put it into his bucket
Then we walked further on
and found some more interesting habitants of the mudflat
O.K., this is not a lugworm [Arenicola marina] itself but the little hills he makes when the water is not there :cyclops:
But it looks very interesting

The next we found was seaweed or little kelp

And here are some very very very small edible crabs, in German it is called Taschenkrebs  [Cancer pagurus]
Here is a bigger one

Some different seaweed

And here is a jellyfish

Here are some more different shells

The nice guide digged a bit and in the mud we found this interesting worm
This is a clam worm, in German Borstenwurm [Nereis sp.]

But here is the real lugworm [Arenicola marina]
It tries to dig itself back into the mud, it doesn´t like the sun

Then the hightide came back and we finished our mudflat-walk
And came back safe to the point we started
What an interesting day

That´s it for today
Love and hugs for You Mummy

Hello Mum,

today it was not sunny enough for the beach so we decided to go on the market

It´s a nice and colourful market with lots of local products
Here are the greengrocers
and there You get some nice fruits

Here is the fish

A lot of cheese

Meat and sausages from the butcher

But not only groceries You find here
Flags, kites, windbells and
sheep...o.k., no real ones

Flowers and plants

But what do we want to buy on the market? After a first view we decided to buy some apples
this fruit market stall looks very nice
Yummy apples we bought there

Our next walk lead us to the old church of Büsum, St. Clemens
In a small park sat this kind person, it is the statue of Neocorus, he was one of the first pastors of Büsum and wrote a Chronicle about the Dithmarschen
We went inside and found a very nice and interesting interiour
What an impressive pulpit
Wonderful old curchwindows and the altar
And a ship from the ceiling

Outside we found this nice building, the old mailstation

There we had typical tea with milk and rock candy

On our way to the promenade we found this thatched-roof house
Its very new builded

At the promenade waited a suprise: They rebuild the dykes and the old beach is closed at this season

O.K., let´s see what we will find in Heide

Posted Jul 20, 2013, 8:34 pm
At next we visited Heide, the hugest town in the near

Here is the old church, but unfortenatuly it was closed

A nice fountain with St. Georg on the top

A large pedestrian zone with many nice shops
But we came to Heide for antother reason, a very special plant nursery

Posted Jul 20, 2013, 9:12 pm
And here we are

This nursery shows its attractions not on the first view, its a little bit hided
A café is there as well

Rare plants You can find outside there
or inside the huge warmhouse with a huge figtree in the centre
and wonderful roses

Even some chicken we met, but they are not fo sale
At least, the sheep outside and next to an old farmers garden

What a wonderful and peaceful place

Theese were our tours for today, we hope that the sun will shine tomorrow so we plan going to the beach again

Good night Mum, love and see You

Posted Jul 21, 2013, 10:56 am
Hi Mum,

today the weather is fine enough again for going to the naturist beach in front of the dyke.

There we enjoy the landscape

Look what we found in a dustbin
A large piece of thin cloth and a bag with rods

We take it with us and try what it could be

Then we built it up

That looks great
It´s a beachshelter
We have a lot of fun inside
and outside

In the afternoon we left the beach and met some sheep, even small lambs
What a nice day

Love and hugs to You Mum, that was it for today

Hello Mum,

today is our last day in Büsum :(

But You don´t guess what we were able to do, because the wind was optimale for this: We did plushie-kiting :cyclops:
Do You remember the kite we found in St.-Peter-Ording?
We built it up

At first I was not sure, but Helmut gave me an instruction during the tandem together with him
That was the greatest I ever did

But now I want to start a second time on my own
I love it :D

What do You think, could we do this again at home? ;)

That was our last and nicest adeventure here at the North Sea

Posted Jul 22, 2013, 11:01 pm
Hello Mum,

this is my last evening in Büsum and we wanted to celebrate this with some nice photos of the sundown we watched here, when the evening sky is clear enough to see the sun going down into the sea.

So only enjoy the following pics without any large comments and feel, how great our time here was when You look into our deep relaxed faces :D

And even the moon waved me a last good bye...
Good bye Büsum...

Hi Mum,

today was a very specail day with two events: We visited Sülfeld

There we brought TobiHH back to his home to RikeH and we picked up Gozer
All plushies there gave us a warm welcome

Wooow, Dicker Kumpel welcomes me

And this is his girlfriend Kleine Fee
Both would be pleased if I could stay and spend some more time together :)

Then it was time for some yummy sweets
What a great tv-meeting, we talked a lot and had much fun hearing the stories

Here I talk to Gozer, he will come with us

Then it was time to say good bye to TobiHH

What an eventful day!
Love and see You Mum

Hello Mum,

this is a very special update only for You :cyclops:

Lotte combed me.... In her opinion I look a little bit tousled and softly she detangled my mohawk haircut...
Do You recognise the brush? It´s the same she used for my little sister Lille

Even my tail she combed

Now I´m looking fine enough again
Do You think I´m a handsome little skunk?

Thanks, Lotte-mum

Hi Mum,

today we made a little walk through the pedestrian zone of Wuppertal-Barmen
Here we start at the beginning. Behind me You can see a station in old style of the suspension railway (Schwebebahn), but in the holidays it doesn´t drive, because of the huge renovation that lasts almost 10 years for the whole railway...
One of the nicer pre-war buildings there. A lot of houses were destroyed in WWII and the houses they built up after it, are only functional, but not very nice...
This is the formerly "Hall of fame" , built at the end of the 19th. century. Now its "the house of the youth" and sometimes bands playing there.
Here we play with 3 huge bronce turtles. They have their home in the pedestrian zone and are very popular, almost by the kids who want to sit on them.

This is the town-hall of barmen, built in the late 20ths of the 20th century

And bronce-animals again, but much older, here as colums of large lanterns

Here we sit on the basic of one of them

And we met "Tuffi"
He is very famous here, in the 50ths he jumped out of the suspension railway and fell into the Wupper. Nothing seriously happend to him

That was our little walk

Love and hugs to You, Mum

Hi Mum,

today we were witness of a very rare spactacle: Another selenicereus grandiflorus opens his blossom tonight and we watched it in the garden
This is the half open blossom at about 21:00
And here half an hour later
The blossom is almost open at about 22:00
Now at about 23:00 the blossom is fully open

What a great event

And this is the closed and faded blossom in the next morning.

See and love You mum,
bye for now

Hi Mum,

today it was soo hot and we were glad when a parcel with wonderful contents arrived us. O.K., it was Strunkis parcel, with beautiful gifts from RikeH, but she allowed us to open it
What would be in there??

Then the main suprise followed: A bathtube in Plushiesize!!!

And even for us were enough lollipops :p

Everybody of us marvelled about the nice presents
Helut got a nice magic towel with a nice piglet on

Then it was time for trying the bathtube. My first bath in my life :cyclops:
Well, should I really??
Great feeling
Absolutely funny to feel the bubbles
What´s that??
Hey Oink, do You enjoy the bath, too?
(Uhhhuuu..I think so :D)
Then it was time to come out... what a pity...
We got some bath towels to dry us
Having a bath is great and big fun :p

Bye Mum, see You soon

Hi Mum,

today was a sad day, because we had to say good bye to my little cute Oink

Then the moment came when I had to say good bye to her
We hugged
and hugged
and hugged a very long time
Then we promised each other that we will meet again
And I gave her a little kiss :cyclops:

All of us plushies waved her a last good bye when she jumped into her envelope

That was it for today, my dear mum,
See You soon

Hi Mum,

today we made a contest who of us is able to do the ballet split with the most elegance :cyclops:
I can tell You, Lotte didn´t win the contest :cyclops:
Helmut did brave his best, but his legs are too short for doing it elegantly...
We choose Gozer as the winner, he did it in a very accurate manner

Then suddenly an envelope arrived us
We expect Laika, who visited You, Mum :D
Helmut cut the envelope very carefully with his garden shears

I heard a thin voice tellling us, that her name is Laika

What a cute and friendly looking doggie

Then she came out of her envelope

And we gave her a warm welcome and hugged her

And she showed us the postcard You wrote and I recognized Your writing :D
I was sooo happy of the nice greetings for me from You, Mummy. Thanks a lot :D

Then we sat together, enjoying the yummy gumbears You gave Laika with her for us
And we had a nice evening with listening to Laikas adventures
I was asking her a lot about home and she told me that almost is all right at home
She remebered me at my home and I´m looking forward to come back soon in a few weeks to You, Mummy :D

What a wonderful meeting with the little Laika
See You soon, Mum

Hello Mum,

You never guess where we have been today: We went to Weert in Limburg

They have some very old canons standing there
And we liked playing in and on them

Nice houses I saw in the pedestrian area

And a tavern called „De oude Munt“ in the passage

Nice shops like a shoemaker
They even have shoes in plushie-size :cyclops:

A water pump for horses perhaps and nice old buildings again

Here is even a purveyor to the Royal Household

Later on we had fun on a slide

And like this little Fiat Bambino very much

Then we looked for something to drink
And to eat
French fries perhaps?

O.K., we looked for something other, much more typical for the region
A trappist beer and the famous bitterbollen with mustard

It was very yummy :p

And I liked the beer very much

What a nice town, Weert

On our way back we visited the old Windmill „Aurora Molen" near Baexem
Very nice, built in 1845 and restored a few years ago
But there was no beer or something to eat and we went back to Remscheid

That´s for today, Mum,
Love and hug You

Hello Mum,

great news today: Hase has arrived :D

But before we were able to give her a warm welcome, Gozer, Laika, Charlotte and me played a round "Man, don´t worry" and drank some refreshable Hugo with Mintleaf :p
I had the black stones
And it run good for me
Well, I did not loose like a well known hare bunny-lady :cyclops:
Suddenly Helmut appeared very upset an brought an envelope
We all heard her insinde the envelope
Hase, friend of the famous Dr.Kröbner, visits us, what honour
Carefully we opened the envelope together
And had a first look inside
All of us plushies gave her a warm welcome and a first group-hug
Then she turned around to her envelope and brought us her gifts from home
Hi, I am Hase, You must be Mefito, the little skunk?
Uiiiii, thanks for the sweety :p
Yes, I´m Mefito and You are very kind to me, Hase

After the welcome Hase shows the postcard where her home is: It´s Delligsen

Then we drank our first drink together: Hugo with mint :p

Sitting around the candle and listening to ToyVoyagers-Stories and adventures

Had a yummy meal, small special-plushie-cookies on a wafel
And singing songs the whole night
What a wonderful welcome

That´s for today, Mum
Love, hugs and greeting to You at home,

Hi Mum,

today we went to Wuppertal and visited the Botanical Garden there

Today and on Sunday they celebrate a colourful summer fair around the Elisentower
Mum, perhaps You remember this tower, when Lillevisited it in spring?

And this is the Elisentower itsself
Formerly built as a windmill in the 18th century, a rich industrial magnate bought the area around the mill and built up his villa there in the 19th century. And he upsized the windmill tower to have a better view on the landscape of the valley of the river Wupper.

First we started our tour and looked at the booths with handcrafted objects

Then we visited the botanical garden itself
Here parts of the old villa used as orangerie

Look at the wonderful Lotos flower

Here are some more impressions of the garden

One of the two ponds with nice water lilies

Even bananas they have in the warmhouse

Here You can see the tower again

And here I am on the tower :cyclops:

O.K. this is not the real tower, but a good size for us plushies :D

Now we are in the real tower

What a nice wooden ornament on the floor

Look at the nice ornaments under the ceiling

Today this room is used for marriage ceremonies

So let´s see what us expect outside

Now we are on the top of the Elisentower, enjoying the landscape of Wuppertal and the fair in the garden

On our way downstairs we learned some more about the 200 year old area of the Hardt

What a fine day here we spent

That´s it for today, Mum, see You soon

Hello Mum,

today we visited a big event in Wermelskirchen, the neighbourtown of Remscheid. There was a nice funfair and we wanted to go on the giant wheel

We also found a nice carousel

But we decided to take a ride on the ferris wheel
Woow, it´s  a huge one

Now let´s start
Great views on the landscape around us

After this amazing adventure we were hungry and I was happy to get a huge chocolate banana :p

That was it for today, see You soon and hug You, Mum

Hi Mum,
here is Your Mefito again

Today we drove to Lindlar, thats a nice place in the Bergisch Land

There we visited the local outdoor museum and enjoyed the agricultural and handcrafted market

Most of the houses here stood at another place and were brought to here for rebuilding them
This is an old house half-timbered house with a Pub inside from Wuppertal

Really dark inside there
But about a hundered years old

We were very happy to see such a lot of farm animals having a good live outside like these cows with their calfs

or these geese
and turkeys

We met relatives of HelmutBluepant

Some hard working, but not unhappy looking horses

They pull the historic mail coach there
We liked it sitting so high above the ground

And we saw some more horses working, they pulled a plough on the field

Found some friendly sheep in the stables
And outside rackas, or wallachian sheep

After so much sheep we rested and found a nice place between some blooming artichokes and some nice pumpkins

Helmut found his favourite vehicle: an old Unimog

And some funny things on the market

Later we saw Charlotte´s brother.. he´s the black sheep of the family and has to stay in jail... She didn´t want to talk about, what he has done...

After this dark episode we enjoyed the flowers

Finally we met some very friendly Lamas
You can book them for guided Lama-Trekking-Tours in Bergisch Land

Ok, this is not a lama... but a perfect goat in plushie-size

The last I remember was this delicious beer and the yummy cake...
...but I don´t know how I came back to Strunkis home...

That was it for this weekend, Mum
See and hug You

Hi Mum,

today I played in the sunflower when Hase and Laika invited us plushies for sharing the raspberries they had sampled

Suddenly I heard an elephant trumpeting the song "Down Under"
It is Elmar, he came from his journey to Australia

All of us gave him a very first warm welcome and a group hug

Welcome, we are very happy that You did it

Then Elmar showed us his gifts from Australia, yummy sweets, a nice card and a colourful bookmark
Thanks a lot for the nice souvenirs, fleursmum :D

After his arrival we all together shared the raspberries

Finally we all sat around our special-plushie-campfire, heard stories from Down Under and singing songs the whole night

That´s it for today, see You soon

Hello Mum,

today we made a trip into prehistoric times and went to a famous place near Düsseldorf called Neandertal. There for about more than 150 years Dr. Carl Fuhlrott found relicts of a prehistoric human and he called him "Neanderthaler"

Here he welcomes us very friendly

A small scene how they perhaps lived?

But let´s see what we can learn from the prehistoric humans outside
Here a reconstruction of an oven from the late stone age

Interesting tools for hunting
and fishing

The huge skull of a prehistoric aurochs

Small talk between plushie to plushie

Interesting, how a prehistoric drill works

And what for nice artefacts the prehistoric people had

And small talk with an impressive felt-mammoth

An instrument called "atlatl", or spear thrower
It helps to throw the spear about a longer distance

What an informative and interesting day but now we all are tired

That´s it for today
See You soon
Yours Mefito

hope I will com back sometime, someday

And I´m looking forward to have my last adventure in Bad Driburg
That´s for today, see You soon Mum

I'm back home!!!!!! :D :D :D
After a long time filled with many fantastic experiences and meetings Strunki brought me home yesterday.
My friends at home and hostmum's TV-guests The WotWots, UrselHH and Sargent Froggo gave me and my new friends Charlotte, Helmut, Laika, Elmar, Hase and Gozer a fantastic welcome  :D
We sat together talking about our experiences and eating chocolate and gummi bears...
And the best was: Helmut and Charlotte will stay here and drive together with us to the North Sea at the end of the month!!! So I didn't have to say goodbye to all of my new friends.
But I had to say goodbye to my so nice hostmum!!! Thank you for everything, I think we'll meet again soon!
And goodbye Gozer, Laika, Hase and Elmar. Have a good time and journey, perhaps we'll meet again!
After so many goodbyes we sat together the whole night talking and talking...
Nice to be home again!
Love you all
yours Mefito

Posted Sep 9, 2013, 8:33 pm
After talking the whole night we fell asleep in the morning...
Some hours later we were woken up by Charlotte: "Listen" she said, "let's make hostmum happy and clean up the kitchen before she'll come home from work." Okay we thought, good idea but Charlotte had another idea: "You'll clean up and I'll look after you..." she said. We looked at each other and agreed on this Suggestion immediately: No!
So Charlotte hadn't any choice but cleaning up, too  ;)
After hard work we played my very nice card game: 'everybody wants Stinky'. You have to collect pairs of cards and the one who has got at last the lovely skunk is the winner (not the looser, that's another totally incomprehensible form of playing this card game...)
Helmut won!

Hello Mum,

today we left Remscheid at noon to spend our weekend at a noble resort chosen by Charlotte :D
Here Strunki takes care that we all have a safe seat

And after two hours we reached this for Lotte suitable nice place

It´s a wellness-hotel situated in the middle of a wonderful park

This is the acess to the entrance

And here we sit in the middle of 5 wonderful hedges cut in waveform

The reception is called "Orangerie"
Here the view from the gallery

Have You ever seen such a nice view on such a large pool?

Here we are outside again on a footwalk between the guesthouses
It is called fuchisa-avenue

This is the pump-room with the curative water sources built in the early 19th century in the Biedermeyer style
There we drank the healing water.
It tastes very well

Now we are in the library, also used as a smokers room
Look, the wallpaper shows the same asian scene You find on the upholstery

Now we are in our suite

This is our view out of the window
Now we stand in front of the guesthouse our suite is situated

This wing is an outer part of the connected ballroom
Have a look inside the main ballroom

This is the main entrance, or Orangerie, again at night

Here we are in the corridor of our guesthouse

This huge boar we met in another wing of another guesthouse

But he didn´t want to follow us into the SPA, where we made a sauna-session :cyclops:

These were our nice days in Bad Driburg

Posted Sep 13, 2013, 10:43 pm
While mum and dad were working today we explored their flat. First we met the very old dog lady Trixi. Nice to meet you! Unfortunately Sally, the other old dog lady died in January when I was far from home... :(
Trixi was followed by a purple sheep and Brother Jacob, a kind monk.
After visiting the orchids I showed my friends the best: a piano, a trumpet and a guitar  :D Of course we decided to become a septet! First each of us tried each instrument and soon the several talents came to light.
And now have a look at the world's best septet ;) !

Posted Sep 14, 2013, 5:59 pm
Today morning we visited Bad Lippspringe, a spa near Paderborn. In Bad Lippspringe there are five sources: Lippe, Jordan, Arminius, Liborius and Martinus and the water you can get from some of them is very good drinking water.
There are two spa gardens, an older one and a newer on. On the photo you can see a part of the older one with many old and some young trees.
We visited also the ruin of a very old castle standing in the centre of Bad Lippspringe and the church St. Martin.
And guess what, my friend *Nick* became a TV today  :D
See you

Hurray! Tomorrow I'll travel to the North Sea together with all my friends  :D :D

Posted Sep 29, 2013, 1:13 pm
Today our North Sea-trip has begun!
In the early morning we took our places in the car and
Most of the time we drove on motorways but together with HelmutBluepant, Charlotte, *Nick*, The WotWots, UrselHH and Sargent Froggo it wasn't boring at all.
After a few hours we crossed Hamburg and drove through a long tunnel underneath river Elbe.
A further hour later we crossed the Kiel Canal. The typical landscape we could see outside the car showed us that we were already at our's destination.
And so it was. A few minutes later we reached a nice sofa in our holiday home in Friedrichskoog  :D

Posted Sep 30, 2013, 5:36 pm
What we did first on our first day: we borrowed a TV-suitable bike for reaching all sights and places in Friedrichskoog.
Today we drove to the 'Trischendamm', a dam that streches 2 km into the North Sea. I wore my HSV-Shirt (built up for me by HSV Maskottchen)  cause it was windy and cold and because my favourite football team HSV had to Play in the evening. On our way to the dam we saw a sign that  confirmed us to prefer driving by bike and not by car...driving by car seems to be very dangerous in this region  :o
On the Trischendamm we walked up to the end and stood so to speak in the middle of the North Sea. As I said it was a windy day so we had to pay attention not to fly away...
Back at the dyke we took a rest in a nice wicker beach.
On our way back home we bought some jam standing at the roadside. There were no seller but only a box to put in the money.
In the evening I watched the football play on TV  :) and HSV lost  :(
See you
yours Mefito

Posted Sep 30, 2013, 9:57 pm
In the morning we unfolded the magic towels of Charlotte and HelmutBluepant. We had to put the little packets into water and waited some seconds...and then two very nice towels came to light  :D We all hoped that the sun will shine the next time so that we could use them all together...

Posted Oct 1, 2013, 3:47 pm
In the afternoon we wanted to visit Friedrichskoog's little lighthouse. A narrow dam leads to the lighthouse. On our way we saw a nice red fishing cutter, the typical ship in this region.
After half the distance we took a rest. Looking back we could see the tower standing in the seal station we visited in July together with Strunki.
Cause it was high tide the dam was overflowed at it's end so we unfortunately couldn't reach the lighthouse and had to turn back.
Perhaps we'll try again at low tide.
Back at the dyke we found a big stone with an inscription: at this place runs the 54th northern latitude.

Posted Oct 2, 2013, 11:29 am
Today morning we visited the old windmill in which mum and dad married a few years ago.
If I'll marry one day perhaps I'll do it here

Posted Oct 2, 2013, 8:32 pm
In the afternoon we took a long walk on the dyke and met a lot of sheep.

Posted Oct 2, 2013, 9:29 pm
Today morning it was raining so *Nick* read a book to us.
In the afternoon the weather was much better so we drove to Meldorf, a little nice town near Friedrichskoog we visited together with Strunki this summer.
First we visited the great cathedral built up in the 13th century. And then mum showed us the market square with her favourite café, of course we went in...very good :p
Somebody had an old anchor in his garden and of course we wanted to sit on it...
A few minutes later I discovered a mysterious sign on a lamppost: something that looked like a shell...Mum explained me that this shell is a scallop, the identification for the pilgrims who make a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. Very interesting, I thought and asked mum whether I could become a pilgrim as well. And guess what she said. Yes! I'll escort grandma who'll start next Sunday!  :D :D
Isn't it great?
yours Mefito

Posted Oct 3, 2013, 10:41 am
Cause it was raining again we had time to sit in a nice café and to explore the interior furnishings after eating and drinking. There were very interesting things in plushie-size, so we played seafarer and lighthouse attendent...fantastic!

Posted Oct 3, 2013, 6:13 pm
Today the weather was very good, so in the morning we walked on the Trischendamm at low tide for picking shells.
After picking some we took arest on the big stones.
On our way back we had a great sight of the mud flats.
Back at the dyke we met 'Fritze', a very big mud flats worm and then we played on a nice boat and took another rest on deck.
In the afternoon we went into another nice café...mum and dad love cafés as you can see... ;)

Posted Oct 4, 2013, 12:54 pm
Today morning we tried to reach the little lighthouse again, this time at low tide.
But first Charlotte wanted to visit her sister-in-law who lives here at the dyke. Charlotte's brother unfortunately is in prison (and she doesn't want to tell us why) as Helmut told a few weeks ago, you remember? And so she went alone into the rabbit burrow (Charlotte's brother had married a rabbit as you can see) and we had to wait outside while she was talking with her sister-in-law.
After a while she came back, hugged HelmutBluepant but she didn't want to say anything about her visit. If you ask me it seems to be a not so pleasant part of her family...
So we started to the lighthouse and reached it. Before going back we took a long rest sitting there and talking about life...
Yours Mefito

Posted Oct 4, 2013, 1:24 pm
In the afternoon we visited the nice little fishing harbour.

Posted Oct 4, 2013, 6:23 pm
In the evening we had to say goodbye to the North Sea...and the North Sea said goodbye presenting us a great sunset...

Posted Oct 4, 2013, 8:00 pm
Back home I immediately had to say goodbye to all my friends cause I'll start to make a pilgrimage in Spain tomorrow together with grandma.
Of course I'm looking forward for this adventure and I'm proud to become a real pilgrim but I'm also sad to say goodbye...above all to HelmutBluepant and Charlotte who'll drive home next week  :(
Charlotte combed my hair for a last time...
Hope to see you again soon and special greetings to Strunki!

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 8:40 pm
Tomorrow the adventure begins!
I'll sleep here in the rucksack for not to miss anything.

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 8:47 pm
After driving by train from Paderborn to Düsseldorf and flying from Düsseldorf to Bilbao we reached Pamplona by bus.
The first night in a sleeping bag.

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 8:58 pm
And now our pilgrimage began  :)
Grandma told me to look out for the typical little signs that show the right way to Santiago de Compostela, the destination of thousands of pilgrims every year.
Our destination won't be Santiago but Burgos. 240 km will be enough for this year, grandma said.

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:04 pm
Today we reached the 'alto de perdon', the 'mountain of forgiveness' with a monument for all the pilgrims.

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:09 pm
And every morning a 'bocadillo', a typical Spanish bread. Yummy!
In one village we saw a well with no water but wine  :p But only persons above 18 years were allowed to drink some  :(

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:17 pm
Today grandma tied me up cause the way was very rough and hilly...I needed a rest in grandma's hat...

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:24 pm
A typical village with olive trees.

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:26 pm
:D :D :D

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:31 pm
...and so we walked on and on...

Posted Oct 18, 2013, 9:38 pm
...and reached Burgos at the 12th day of our pilgrimage.

Posted Oct 19, 2013, 6:10 pm
The last three days we relaxed in Santander.
Tomorrow we'll fly home.
The pilgrimage was great, many unforgettable impressions...
Thank you, grandma, for taking me with you to this journey!

Then we sat together round an indoor campfire and I told about my great pilgrimage...

Today we made a trip to Reelkirchen, not the paradise  ;), but a very nice little village that belongs to the Egge mountains.
We visited the old church and a very old lime tree.
There were very many half-timbered houses, some more than 300 years old.
On the way back we saw the colourful forest...great!

Posted Oct 26, 2013, 11:15 am
Today I showed OleOrangescarf mum's work in Paderborn. She works as a social worker in an old people's home. We drove by bike and on our way we watched the autumn. But today the autumn tasted of spring, it was very warm and together with the new sown grain it also looked like spring.
On our way we met a strange guy who showed us the right way to Paderborn city  ;)
We droved past a school but the lucky children were on autumn holiday in this region.
After eight kilometres we reached the old people's home from the back.
In front of the house there were nice colourful bushes  :)
Today mum made music and we helped her  :D
See you

Today we went to an autumn-fair in Paderborn city.
We admired the ghost train, an old merry-go round, stands with lots of sweets  :p and the Ferris wheel. Mum asked us whether we wanted to drive with the Ferris wheel...without question we wanted  :D

Time to say goodbye again...
Today UrselHH set off to Strunki. So yesterday evening we had a farewell party sitting round an indoor campfire and talking about our common adventures...

Hours later  ;) we continued relaxing with yummy chocolate in front of the television.
Very nice grey and rainy November day  :)

Today afternoon we went for a walk round Altenbeken, the village next to Neuenbeken, our homevillage.
There we walked through a forest to a statue of saint Mary where mum lighted a candle for all her late relatives and friends as many people do on All Saints' Day (the day before yesterday).
On our way to the statue we saw some signs but no sign to saint Mary but we could see her from a long way away.
It was a very peaceful place as you can see.
On the way back we met a strange guy in the middle of the forest.
We took another rest on a bench when suddenly we were knocked over by a gust of wind  :cyclops:
In Altenbeken we visited an old steam engine that is standing there in memory of the past. Altenbeken has been and still is a railway junction.
Bye for today

Posted Nov 13, 2013, 5:00 pm
Today I started together with friends of mum and dad and my new friend Charmin to Uslar for spending the night in a tree house  :D
The weather was great, best conditions for such a plan.
So after a snack we explored the area round the tree house: a sign with the wild animals of this region, a climbing park (I dared to climb to the top!!!) and a lookout tower.
Before helping at geocaching we took a rest. We found two treasures  :D  and a witch  :cyclops:
When we saw the big chairs of course we had to took another rest sitting on them  ;)
Back in the tree house I wanted to write an email to you but it didn't work: no Net in the middle of a forest.
So we had time for drinking tea, reading a book, playing Kniffel and making Sudoku, very nice without Net  ;)
Of course we had to climb a bit and of course we tested the nice bed you could turn outside so you could lie in bed watching the starry sky
Unfortunately it was cold outside so we turned the bed inside and had a good meal (with sparkling wine!) bevor going into our own beds. First I tried to sleep alone in my bed but lying in one sleeping bag together with Charmin was much better.
Good night!

Posted Nov 13, 2013, 5:18 pm
After a very good night we started the day with a fantastic breakfast.
Before starting for a walk Charmin and me explored the tree house.
Then we visited a game park with real wolves (!), raccoons and other wild animals and we learned something about foxes.
Unfortunately it was time to say goodbye to the tree house and we drove home. Perhaps I'll come back...thank you for this adventure!

Then I introduced Charmin to my friends. Unfortunately he had to drove home together with mum's and dad's friends but perhaps we'll meet again!
Of course I wanted to show my friends the pictures of my great weekend trip  :D

Today we droved to Paderborn city by bus for visiting river Pader. This river is the shortest river in Germany (only 4 km) but has got more than 200 sources.
We visited a place where women did the washing up to the fifties of the last century.
While sitting there suddenly a goose caught me  :o
"This is not allowed, I'm a skunk and I'll show you the weapon of a skunk and you'll never forget!", I shouted and so the goose dropped me, apologized to me and allowed me to sit on her back...puuuhh!

Autumn impressions...

Posted Nov 18, 2013, 3:14 pm
Today in the early morning something strange has happened:
we were still sleeping when suddenly we were woken up by a loud voice: "Where is the birthday boy?"
Sitting up we saw a big goblin sitting on a purple horse and having a burning crown is his hands :stare:
First I thought I had taken leave of my senses but my friends could see the goblin as well. "Where is the birthday boy?" he repeated.
"It's me!" I said. He wanted me to step forward, presented the crown to me, congratulated me and disappeared. Wow!
We all couldn't believe it but we could see the crown so it was true.
My friends told me to put on the crown, then they sang a birthday song for me, hugged me and gave me yummy gummi bears as a present  :D
We sat around the crown discussing the event until mum and dad came for congratulating me.
Then we started to Paderborn city by bus for having a vegan birthday breakfast in a nice café  :p
On the way back we visited the cathedral again and a miniature of the city.
That's it for now, in the evening we'll drive to a restaurant for having a farewell dinner cause today it isn't only my birthday but also the last day of The WotWots in Paderborn and they shall get a great goodbye!

Today afternoon we drove to grandma for wishing her a happy birthday.
Because she's such an enthusiastic pilgrim (you remember?) granddad gave her a sculpture of St. Jacob as a present, built up by a potter.
And cause I'm an enthusiastic pilgrim as well I wanted to sit on St. Jacob's arm  :)
On teatime we had yummy cake ('Christstollen', a very good cake you eat at Advent and at Christmas)  :p
And in the evening we had another birthday invitation to friends of mum and dad. First we had raclette and then we explored the flat and discovered a lot: a nice donkey-pig or something like that, a very kind spider, a caterpillar which never has had enough to eat, a vending machine with chocolat in it  :p , a board full of plastic animals (unfortunately no skunk but a moose like my brother Soeren) and at last a cupboard full of stoffies  :D But guess what, nobody wanted to become a ToyVoyager!!! I think they don't know what they're missing...

Today evening  we drove to Detmold for visiting the Christmas fair in the open-air museum. In the big area there're many old houses and two windmills you can visit for getting an idea of bygone times.
Today the old houses and mills were illuminated, it looked fantastic!
For finding the path in the dark there were torches at the wayside.
There were many stands with nice things to buy and in the old houses you could buy things, too.
Of course we bought some yummy hot punch  :p
And look what mummy bought for us: a wooden sledge  :D
Now we're just waiting for some snow...

Today an envelope has arrived. Cause we were all waiting for SunnyHH and Soeren we were surprised cause the envelope was very small. We lifted the envelope up and concluded that it was too light for comprising an elk...
Then suddenly two little white ears came to light and a nice rabbit crawled out of the envelope and explained that Soeren really wanted to visit Strunki and his old friends. So he turned off to Remscheid.
But we'll meet on December 14th in Dortmund and then he'll come back home SunnyHH explained.
Than we all hugged SunnyHH and we sat together eating yummy chocolate he's brought with him and talking about TV-life...

Yesterday evening mum said we could put up a boot in front of the flat door for St. Nicholas. Perhaps he would fill the boot in the night on his way round the world. So we did. Of course we all wanted to see St. Nicholas so we sat behind the door staring through a door gap. "No", mum said, "you've got to go to bed and sleep. St. Nicholas won't come to somebody sitting behind the door." So we did. We tried to stay awake but no chance...
In the early morning we raced to the door and the boot has been filled  :D :D

First we had a yummy dinner. Suddenly we heard somebody playing the harp. It was a friendly owl. Of course we asked the owl to become a ToyVoyager but unfortunately his mum didn't allow...
Then we explored the flat that was a gold mine for ToyVoyagers as you can see  ;)

Today we drove to Dortmund by train for meeting Strunki and olgamaus! It was so great to see them and some of my old friends and my brothers again!
After visiting the a big St. Nicholas, a big Christmas pyramide and the very big Christmas tree we went into a café together with all the other ToyVoyagers. It was great to sit there with GustavHH, Charlotte, Hase, HelmutBluepant, Kirin, Soeren, DottyCroc, Dutchy the Lion, OleOrangescarf, Josie, UrselHH, Frederik, SunnyHH, Störte, Sargent Froggo and *Nick* talking about our adventures...and it was great to talk with my four brothers!
When it became dark we visited the Christmas fair. The illuminated big tree, all the lights and candles looked fantastic!
I was happy that Soeren and Frederik came back home with us. And my best friend Ole accompanied us as well back to Paderborn  :D
Thank you, Strunki and olganmaus for your nice Christmas presents!

Today noon a mysterious parcel arrived. We were not waiting for another ToyVoyager so we wondered what could be in it.
Mum said that it was a Christmas parcel from Strunki so we should wait until Christmas. But suddenly we heard a voice: "Set me free!!!"  :o
Under this circumstances of course we were allowed to open the parcel as fast as we could. A funny face appeared. "Hi, I'm Paris the dromedary and I'm no ToyVoyager and I don't want to become a ToyVoyager. I travelled from Christmas fair to Christmas fair my whole life and so I would be very happy to find a real home", Paris the dromedary said.
Mum was as happy as we to meet Paris and invited her to stay in her home.
"Great", Paris said, "Now I've only to find a place where I can jump up and down but that's not urgent."
And then she showed us a nice postcard, nice pictures and yummy chocolate from Strunki, her TVs and her guests  :D
That's for today

In the afternoon we drove to grandma and grandpa.
We climbed the Christmas tree and visited the crib. Frederik decided to stay there for the next weeks being a member of the crib.
After playing grandpa's organ for more than two hours we rested in grandma's armchair for a while...
In the evening we went into the city for visiting the illuminated cathedral. Great!

Today evening we celebrated the second Christmas day together with dad's daughters in the flat of the older daughter in Bad Lippspringe.

Today the sun was shining, optimal conditions for our 'First Silvester Shopping Trolley Outdoor Race'  :D
We went to an hill where Paris marked starting line and finishing line. Than she sat down at the finishing line with her stopwatch...the race could begin!
OleOrangescarf was the first starter. He pushed the trolley, jumped in and raced downhill. "14,99 seconds!" Paris shouted and noted down the result.
I was the next. "14,92!"
Then the first team started: Sargent Froggo pushed the trolley with SunnyHH in it and jumped in..."14,71"!!!
Then the the girls  started... "14,98!" Paris shouted.
So we had the winners: Sargent Froggo and SunnyHH!!!
Back home we had a presentation ceremony. The winner team got a gold medal and a certificate.
Though I didn't win the race it was big fun  :D :D :D

We had a Silvester-party at some friends of mum and dad.
First we played 'Don't be annoyed' (in German 'Mensch ärger dich nicht') with 'Mainzelmännchen' as pieces  ;)
It was very exciting and at last OleOrangescarf was the winner!
At midnight we had great fireworks!! Unfortunately mum wasn't really able to took good pictures at the right moment  :cyclops:
All the best

Today we decided to help mum with the housecleaning.
First we had to do the washing. Together we put the laundry into the washing machine (hoping that mum didn't hit on the idea to put us into the machine as well  :cyclops: )
After cleaning we had to pull out the wet clothes of the machine and hung it onto the clotheshorse. Puuuuh, housework is more exhausting than we thought...
Then we helped mum doing the hoovering. That wasn't exhausting at all, we sat on the Hoover directing mum and spuring her on  ;)
Mum was very grateful to us for such a fantastic Support and so we got yummy chocolate deservedly  :p

Yesterday a mysterious envelope from Australia arrived.
What could be in? A very flat ToyVoyager?  :cyclops:
SunnyHH opened it and crawled in...and guess what he pulled out: the flying carpet of my brother Sidney L.
But where was Sidney? The enclosed postcard gave the answer:
Sidney has travelled to Alaksa and has forgotten his flying carpet in Australia!  :o
How has he travelled without flying with his carpet? We must ask him when he'll be back home...
Of course we all tried to start the carpet but unfortunately nothing happened...we didn't know the magic word for starting it  :(
Dear brother Sidney, come home safely some day, I'll keep your carpet...
Thank you fleursmum for sending the carpet home!

Today morning we were just playing hide and seek in the garden when a strange figure appeared  :o
When he came nearer we saw that it was Monsti pulling a pirate ship!! Of course we asked him where he came from with such a ship and then he told us a fantastic story: fitted out with a map he started from his hometown Stuttgart many days ago. He wanted to travel by train, bus and hitchhiking. Wow! The first stage worked very well but after a while he found no Train, no bus, no car and hat to go on travelling by foot  :cyclops: So he walked along some rivers and suddenly he saw an abandoned pirate ship! With this ship he sailed this far on many different rivers! The last kilometre he had to pull the ship and now he was here! Great!
When we looked closely at the ship I recognized: it was the ship of my brother Störte which he had lost on his journey from Austria to Remscheid!!! What a chance!! He'll be so happy to get back his ship  when he'll come home  :D
Then we went in, sat together and talked about our adventures while eating the yummy hamburgers Monsti brought with him  :p

And cause OleOrangescarf is my best friendhe decided to keep my company. Okay, on closer examination you could see he needed a bath urgently  :cyclops: (can you see the region underneath his scarf?)
So we started relaxing in the warm water...we relaxed...and relaxed...and then we had a hold-our-breath-competition: Ole was the winner, water is the icebear's element I must admit.
We became cleaner and the water more and more wet and cold so we went on relaxing on the heater  :)
And now I'll be in the state to meet the ladies  ;)

Goodbye Monsti, see you when I'll come back home.
And goodbye Josie, it's been very nice to meet you!

Hello Mum,

SunnyHH and I arrived in Sülfeld. Dicker Kumpel gave us a warm welcome.

Then he introduced us to his other guests here.

We showed our nice postcard and the candies you sent with us.

I met HelmutBluepant – this was so great!

Surely I will have a nice time here.

Posted Feb 1, 2014, 11:03 pm
Hello Mum,

The winter came to Sülfeld, so we had to take photos with some snow.

Let’s start with this archaeological monument.

Some children wanted to use their sleighs behind me, but I think there was not enough snow.

Well – no sunshine on my stone, but I loved the light on the old school.

And the emblem of Sülfeld is beautiful, too.

My last stop was next to the church. A wonderful photo with a little snow and the sunshine.

I love the wintertime!

Posted Feb 4, 2014, 11:18 am
Hello Mum,

Today we had great weather, so we explored the surroundings of Sülfeld.

What a wonderful sky with beautiful clouds!

But to tell the truth – it was really cold!

What a long way – maybe I should have stayed at home?

Fortunately we found a sunny place for a rest.

I loved this place – with a far view. Well, of course there are not really big hills here in Northern Germany.

And the small river here was nice, too.

The last photo shows me and Dicker Kumpel’s famous tree. Nice!

What a wonderful walk!

Posted Feb 7, 2014, 8:15 pm
Hello Mum,

The weather was fine today – time for another walk. I looked at the map, where we should go.

Let’s start with this lane.

The forest looked not too interesting now in the winter time.

But I found a little lake – or maybe only a snow field?

It was time for a rest.

Then I found a freshly cut tree.

What a nice view - this time it was a real lake.

Can you see the ice on the small river? It is still cold in Germany.

Posted Feb 10, 2014, 9:45 am
Hello Mum,

Today I went to Hamburg – this lake is called Alster.

Behind me you can see the town hall.

And this is another nice view over the Alsterarkaden.

Look – what a beautiful postbox.

Here you can see the town hall again – a beautiful building.

Hello Mum,

We went to the port of Hamburg today. I had a nice view from a place called Landungsbrücken.

What a nice tower.

On the other side of the Elbe River there are two musical halls – the left one is really new.

Behind me you can see the sailing ship Rickmer Rickmers.

Then we had a great idea – we jumped onto a small ferry to the building Elbphilharmonie. I had a nice view over the Elbe River.

Hamburg’s port is really beautiful.

We came near to the both musical halls.

Me in front of the skyline of the port.

This is the Elbphilharmonie – a very expensive building.

I looked to another part of the port – the cruise terminal – but there is no cruise ship today.

Another boat – it pushed another one.

And here is the part where they load and unload big ships.

It was a nice trip for us TVs, RikeH had a hard time, because it was really cold – and her fingers got so cold!

Hello Mum,

Many greetings from the Cruise Ship AIDA Sol. We celebrated the start of our trip with delicious Champagne.

Our first stop was Barcelona. Here you see the column of Columbus.

We stopped in the Gothic Part of the city – and saw the beautiful cathedral.

There was a little garden next to the cathedral and I loved the beautiful palm tree.

This is the placa del Rei.

We continued our trip on a bus. It was sunny – but we had a cold wind on the upper deck.

Our next stop was the big church Sagrada Familia. They still build it – it is a great building – we didn’t go into it, because there was a long waiting time to enter.

Here you see me in the wonderful Park Güell. It was constructed by the artist Gaudi, who planned the Sagrada Familia, too.

There were nice monuments with animals.

The most famous one is this dragon.

There is a long bench – we sat on it and enjoyed the sunshine.

No idea, why Gaudi constructed this funny way, but we liked it.

It was a great day in Barcelona.

Hello Mum,

Today we went to a city called Valencia. We had wonderful sunshine.

This is the Basilica on the Plaza de la Virgen.

Next to it was the Cathedral.

Behind me you see the Cathedral from the other side.

Then we started our trip on a Segway.

We went to a place with great buildings – this is the opera house.

It looks like a shark from this place.

Another nice building.

Later we stopped in the beautiful market hall.

Valencia has a lot of interesting buildings – these are the older ones.

Hello Mum,

We started our day on our balcony.

It was enough place for all of us and we talked a lot.

This is the view to the front of the ship – yes we are living in the front of the ship – just over the bridge.

There you can see the front of the ship.

On a cruise ship you spend a lot of time with eating – so it was time for some sports. We have a Power Plate in our cabin. First RikeH explained us how it works.

Then it started to shake…

…and we had to train our arms.

After that it was time to relax in the living-room.

This is the place where I write my updates.

And here I am sleeping – in the morning I can see the sea out of my bed – this is great!

Hello Mum,

We are in Africa and went to a small city called Asilah. Behind me you see a religious building.

This was another tower…

… next to a nice place.

Next to the city there is a long beach – many children played soccer there.

This is the door to a palace, but we were not allowed to visit it.

Later we had this nice view over the city – but it was very windy.

My last photo shows a big wall – there were many of them here in Asilah.

Hello Mum,

Back in Spain we were in Cadiz. This is the Plaza de Espana with a wonderful monument.

We walked around the city and had nice views over the sea and the promenade.

There was a very tall tree in one of the parks.

Cadiz has so many beautiful churches, this is one of it.

Another nice part of the promenade.

We went through the beautiful Parque Genoves.
Look, the gran teatro.

There were funny faces on the container for old bottles.

Another nice church.

And this is the new Cathedral of Cadiz.

My last stop was on the Plaza de San Juan de Dios.

I had a very relaxing day in Cadiz.

Hello Mum,

We went to Lissabon today. It was noon when we saw the city.

I saw the tower of Belem and the famous monument.

There was a big bridge over the Rio Tejo.

Later we walked through Lissabon. I loved this big arch.

The big place in front of it was nice, too.

On the place there was a big monument.

We walked to another place with a beautiful fountain…

… and a big monument. I loved the waves on the ground here.

There was a nice old elevator.

We couldn’t use the elevator, because we wanted to go to another part of the city. Next to a small church we found a lookout and saw our ship.

There was a big monastery far away.

Hello Mum,

Today was an exciting day – we had a TV-meeting.

It was great to sit together and talk!

Poschti came on the Cruise with us so we had a welcome party this evening.

We had chocolate and fruits.

And I had my own bottle of Coke.

Then we all took one piece of fruit and one piece of chocolate.

It was a nice party, but then we were tired and went into our TV-bed.

Good night, Mum!

Hello Mum,

After a bumpy trip from Lissabon we arrived in La Coruna.  Because of the stormy weather we will stay two days here. Today we took a walk. Behind me you can see the harbor.

There were many small fisherboats.

From this point we had a good view of our Cruise Ship – it is really tall, isn’t it?

There was a fortress – nowadays it is a museum.

We saw big waves – maybe it is a good idea to stay a little longer in this town?

Believe it or not – only some steps from the water I found this sunny place with the beautiful flowers.

These houses with the balconies with glass in front of it are typical for La Coruna.

This is the town hall – really nice.

Back on the ship I stood on the balcony – can you see the fortress behind me – there we went.

And I want to show you this – every evening we got these chocolates – a Cruise is wonderful.

Posted Mar 16, 2014, 12:23 pm
Hello Mum,

I told you about the bumpy trip to la Coruna. We took some photos of it, but I forgot to update it.

So here can you see me and my friends looking out of the window. Here you can see nothing from the rough sea…

But now you can see more – the waves!

I went onto the balcony and saw the waves on the side of the ship.

Today the weather was much nicer!

Later I went onto the pool-deck.

There was a big  screen on the deck!

Here you can see the name of the cruise line.

Bonjour Mum,

It was time for a new country – this time we were in France. We arrived in Le Havre. The architect here loved concrete - you see it everywhere.

We wanted to see a nicer town and went to Honfleur. There was a beautiful harbor!

We went into a big wooden church.

Here you can see the tower of it.

There were many old buildings in the town.

Later we continued our trip and went to Deauville. This is the promenade next to the beach. The clothing rooms are named after famous movie stars.

We walked along the beach – it was wonderful!

There were funny houses in the city.

Au revoir

Hello Mum,

Today was our last day on the AIDA Sol. I walked over the sun deck again – very sunny!

This is the theatre inside the ship.

This is one of many bars on the ship.

Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow, because we want to have nice views when we arrive in Hamburg.

Posted Mar 22, 2014, 1:58 pm
Hello Mum,

Great news Mum, we had lovely weather when we arrived in Hamburg. It was so great to arrive in the port on the Elbe river.

Will I see a nice sunrise?

Yes, there it was!

Far behind me you see a big bridge.

Hamburg is a really beautiful city!

There were two theater for musicals – the left one is not open yet.

We spent our last hours on the ship relaxing on our balcony.

It was a really wonderful cruise. We should do one together soon, Mum.

Hello Mum,

Back in Germany we had lovely weather, so today it was time for a walk.

The nature starts now – because it is springtime.

It was nice to sit in the sunshine with my friends.

Soon there will be some swans on the lake.

We came along another beautiful small lake.

This is Dicker Kumpel’s famous tree. We all have to take photos with it every time we see it.

Back home we saw the German flag.

This stone stood in front of Dicker Kumpel’s house.

Look, the first flowers arrived!

Posted Apr 2, 2014, 8:15 pm
Hi Mum,
We went to a small town called Bad Oldesloe. This is the biggest church here.

I went into it – there were colorful windows.

I met two wooden men.

There was a big organ. Sadly nobody was there to play it.

Then I came to a nice water wheel.

I learnt a lot about it on this sign.

Posted Apr 5, 2014, 3:45 pm
The weather was great today, so we played in the garden. Dicker Kumpel is a great gardener and I want to show you some of his flowers.

I loved this forest of yellow flowers!

These flowers were so nice, too.

Blue flowers are great, too.

Springtime is one of the best time of the year!

Posted Apr 13, 2014, 12:00 pm
Hello Mum,

It was time for some sports – and we decided to play billiards.

Dicker Kumpel explained the rules.

He showed us how to play.

Then it was my time.

It was so much fun!

Unfortunately I lost with 08:03.

Then I explored the room. A horse lived here in the Past, I guess.

Then I tried to call you, but maybe you were not at home.

Posted Apr 21, 2014, 4:05 pm
Hello Mum,

Dicker Kumpel received a game from his friend Murph – and today we wanted to play it.

There were some chocolate bars with photos of wild animals on it. Well – a nice game – looking at photos.

But it was not that easy. They were turned on the wrong side and you can turn two. If they were the same photos you won the chocolate, if not you turn it again – and search new pairs, when it’s your turn. First I found two different animals.

It really was not an easy game.

But I found the second meerkat.

When we finished the game I was really good with two pairs – hopefully you are proud of me, Mum!

Dicker Kumpel who won the most pairs shared two pieces of chocolate with us.

It was yummy, Mum!

Hello Mum,

Happy Easter! Today it is the Day of the Bunnies! We all sat in the sunshine and waited for RikeH.

She arrived and told us that the Easter Bunny has been here – and we could start searching for some sweets!

I found some chocolate!

Then we went to another part of the garden – here we should have a race for eggs.

We all were ready to run!

Look – I had a great forth place!

Later we found this great plant – chocolate lollipops are growing in it!

A great place – and we wanted to send Birthday wishes to a very special friend! Happy Birthday my good friend Helmutbluepant!

This was the first part of Easter – tomorrow we will meet the Eater Bunny!

Posted Apr 23, 2014, 8:23 pm
Hello Mum,

Today was an exciting day, too. We went to visit Dicker Kumpel’s grandma. Many bunnies were living there.

I would love to send you these beautiful flowers!

And I met these hens – I think they worked hard for Easter.

Maybe these were the children of the hens?

Then I met the Easter Bunny. This was so great – it was very nice and friendly.

When we came back to Dicker Kumpel’s home we went into the garden and saw two beautiful trees.

And I really like this yellow plant!

Posted Apr 28, 2014, 6:29 pm
Hello Mum,

I had a wonderful time here, but now it is time to come back home.

I had a last walk through the garden. Look at this plant – no more chocolate growing in it – but many more flowers.

The blue flowers were nice, too.

These flowers just started blooming this week.

And I love this tree, do you know it?

Then it was time to say goodbye to Dicker Kumpel.

The others gave me big hug.

But this cannot be the end – Dicker Kumpel, Kleine Fee and I have a great plan – I will tell you more about it at home.

Until soon

We were just sitting there and talking about this and that when mum showed us a letter from the German customs house: PinkyHH is being stuck in there after her long journey from China  :o
We'll set her free on Friday morning I promise, don't worry, RikeH!!

Our first stop on our luxurious train-journey to Rome was Munich.
A nice town if you asked me.
Suddenly somebody said: "Look, the Peter's place! We've arrived Rome!" But unfortunately in Munich there's such a place as well  :cyclops:
The Peter's church has got a tower that you're allowed to climb up and of course we did. Great view!
After a while we entered the next train, the night train to Rome!
The sleeping car invited us to play a bit before having a night meal and then sleeping. Good night, when we'll awake we'll be in Italy  :D

When we wake up in the early morning we looked out of the window immediately for getting a first impression of Italy...
In Rome we were very happy to arrive our nice little holiday flat near the Vaticanian wall. After a short time we walked to the city for the first time and were very impressed with the Engelsburg (castle of angels), the Engelsbrücke, the bridge across the river Tiber, the famous Piazza Navona and the very very old Pantheon.
Back home we needed some chocolate and felt into bed.
That was our first day in the  great town Rome.

Today we visited the cathedral St. Peter for the first time. Wow! It looked very great and the place with it's fountains as well.
After these impressions we needed a refreshment: ICE CREAM IN ROME...LIFE MISSION!!!  :D :D :D It was so can't imagine!
Then we visited the famous Trevi fountain. You have to throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, that brings luck and let you come back to Rome some time. In the course of a year there are thousands of Euros, Dollars etc. on the ground of the fountain which are for a good cause.
Back home we sat on the steps in front of our house. The small street is only for pedestrians, very good!
That's it for today, good night,

This morning we studied the map of Rome and tried to decide what to visit today. After three hours we reached an agreement but before starting we needed a refreshment...tea and cookies  :)
Then we started to the church St. Giovanni in Laterano with it's very nice inner courtyard.
On our way to the famous Colosseum we saw Oranges!
The Colosseum was very impressive just as the Forum Romanum we visited next.
Back home we had no questions any more...

Today we walked through Rome for visiting the very famous Spanish stairs. Our way leeded us through the via delle Conziliazione, along the river Tevere and through typical narrow streets.
The Spanish steps looked great but there were so many people that you couldn't see much of it.
In the afternoon we went to the basilica St. Peter for entering the tower. Wow! What a sight!!!
After this long day we were very happy but tired and glad to be back in our street cliva delle muro vaticano.

Today we visited the old piramide, built up more than 2000 years ago.
Next to the piramide there is the old graveyard of the non-catholic people behind a very tall wall.
That's for today.

Today we took another walk through Rome.
We saw some typical houses, some lemon trees, climbed some old steps and saw an observatory from a long way away. Through the trees we could throw a glance at Rome.
Back on the St. Peter's place we enjoyed the basilica in the evening light.

Today we visited the famous park Villa Borghese, a large recreation area in the middle of this big city. At the weekend the park is full of Roman families but on Monday it was really empty.
Next to the entrance there was a nice fountain. In the park there was a lake with little rowing boats and of course we rowed  :D Look at the turtels in the background! After rowing we discovered a nice bike but unfortunately hostparents wanted to walk through the park. We saw many old trees, a fountain and we met Goethe  ;) We visited a nice garden, a Sphinx and a sculpture of a very sweet girl...I don't know why Bernie and PinkyHH were enthusiastic about the other sculpture...
On the way back home we saw a typical 'refreshment-car'.
Good night!

Today another small parcel arrived! And a nice cow crawled out of it. "Hi, I'm Paulina", she said, "and this is my first journey as a TV." We all introduced ourselves and hugged her. Then she showed us the nice postcard and the sweets she's brought with her. For the rest of the day we sat together talking about TV-life and this and that...

When mum was at work today we played hide-and-seek for almost the whole morning.
*Nick* had to search first. He counted to 100 and we others looked for good hiding places. Have a look!
Then *Nick* started to search...and after a long time he found one after the other apart from Frederik. Though Frederik hadn't a real hiding place he wasn't found cause he's so small nobody can see him when he sits somewhere...
We played and played cause everybody had to search alternately.
It was a great morning!!!

Hello mum,

Today I arrived at Murph’s home.

Dicker Kumpel and Murph helped me out of my envelope.

I showed my postcard and my sweets.

Isn’t this postcard great?  ;)

I am really looking forward to my holiday on Rügen.  :D

Hello mum,

We arrived in our holiday flat. It was really nice.

Look what we found on our terrace…  B)

Very cosy!

We saw the harbor from our terrace.

We will give this a closer look.

Maybe we will visit this small island.

A beautiful small harbor.

This is a famous ship called Berta. You can buy yummy rolls with fish there.  :p

Mum, I would love to live here, when we will travel to Rügen together in the future… or would it be too expensive?  :)

Until soon

Hello mum,

Today we visited a very famous place of Rügen.

There were 3 lighthouses.

We absolutely wanted to have a photo with this ship.  :)

Two lighthouses close to me.

Isn’t this beautiful? Who can build something like this?  B)

This was our way to the village Vitt. A great view, isn’t it?

A beautiful garden in Vitt…

… and a small chapel.

It was a great trip!

Hello mum,

what an exciting day. First we will travel on a ship to Baabe and then we will return in a train. This is our ship:

Really wonderful weather!

In Baabe we saw this beautiful house.

Then we took a very long walk to the beach.

Finally we arrived.

We had to wait some minutes for the train.

There it come. It is called  „Rasender Roland“…  :)

What a beautiful loco!  :D

Until soon

Hello mum,

Today we want to walk to a very famous place of Rügen. Where is the way?

We saw many interesting things. A big stone tomb.

… and this beautiful lake: the „Herthasee“

Who is able to leave footprints on a stone? We TVs cannot do it.  :stare:

This is the way to our goal. 421 steps down the high bank – fortunately Bine carried us. But strangely she was not in the mood for taking pictures of us…   Finally we arrived…

I think that everyone knows this rock.

This looks very dangerous.

And a photo of the most famous rocks of Rügen.

Before Bine carried us upwards, we played on the beach.  :)

Hello mum,

Today we visited 3 famous places on Rügen. The first stop was Göhren.

A long pier into the water. We had a nice view of the coast.

Our second stop was Sellin – it is more famous.

This house is well-known, isn’t it?  :)

But I really loved these houses there! There are holiday-flats in it… Mum, maybe a little too expensive?  B)

The last place was Binz. Again a long pier into the Sea.

This is another famous house.

Boah, there were so many people.  :stare:

Let’s go back to Lauterbach – it is a nice quiet place!  ;)

Mum, look, the world is upside down.  :)

What a funny view.

Hopefully nothing will fall onto my head.  ;)

We got really dizzy!

And really confused!

Ahhh, that’s much better!  B)

This was a funny experience!  :D

Hello mum,

Today we visited Putbus. The town has a round market-place – it is called circus. Unfortunately you only cannot see it good if you are high above it.

We wanted to see this park.

There were wonderful old trees.

This is the man who constructed this park.

Everywhere were small lakes.

This was the church – although it didn’t look like one.

And there were some animals.

What a beautiful park.

Until soon

Hello mum,

Today we took a long walk through great scenery. This house is famous - it is called „Pfarrwitwen-Haus“

Here you see the beginning of the nice scenery, but it will become even more beautiful!

We crossed this nature reserve.

There were meadows with colorful flowers everywhere.

I never saw this flower before. I love it!  :)

It was really great here!

At home we tried a specialty of Rügen.  :p

In Murph’s new beach chair the liqueur tasted better.  ;)

Hello mum,

another nature reserve that we wanted to see.

But where is it?

We already found heather.

Maybe the reserve will be there?

Great - we found it!  :)

Look at this, mum!

Everywhere you can see these shrubs. Do you know it?

It looked great!

So many stones in this wonderful countryside.  :)

I love it here.

Hello mum,

We started our day with a long hike again. Holidays can be very exhausting.

4,7 km – puh… - always around the lake…

Hopefully we will be ready with the hike soon.  B)

Then we drove to another park. Hopefully it will be more interesting for us TVs.

Well, it started great. A ruin…

….and a funny guy, who sat next to a lake.

This park was beautiful.

Finally we found mushrooms.

We would like to have this table and the chairs at home.

This is a great place for a TV-meeting. What do you think, Mum? Do we have enough room in the garden?  ;)

I really loved this tree.

And then this – an UFO…will it be for Murph Will he enter it? Will he leave us?  :o

Until soon

Hello mum,

It was time for DottyCroc to travel home. Before he left we wanted to go into the forest again.

First we found a small king bolete – too small for taking it with us.

These mushrooms have a funny name in Germany – they are called ears of donkeys.

These green mushrooms smell really good.

Very yummy! Aniseed toadstool

Everybody knows these plants, we think.

I love these mushrooms!  :)

But I didn‘t see this mushroom before – an Umbrella polypore

Al least we found a nice umbrella.

Then it was time to say goodbye. It was a nice time with DottyCroc.

We wish a safe and fast journey home.

Hello mum,

Today we went into the forest. We wanted to collect mushrooms.

This seemed to be a good place – we should find some here.

Look, there was the first mushroom.  :)

It was a wonderful king bolete.

I cut it.

It was my first king bolete.  :D

I was so proud!

There should be more.  B)

There was another.

Our baskets were full.  :D

It was time to go home.

Until soon

What a great day in the forest!

But there were some funny mushrooms –great shapes

Hello mum,

Today is a wonderful day. It’s Murphs birthday and we visit Dicker Kumpel.

Then we showed the others what we brought for the party.  :)

This looked very yummy!  :p

And everyone got a cocktail!

Cheers! Let us enjoy it…  ;)

What a pity – already finished.

... To be continued...

...After finishing our meal, Murph got his gift.

What will be in there?

Wow, this is beautiful!

Dicker Kumpel promised a big surprise!  What will it be?

What is it? An UFO! Who will be in it?

Two beautiful Alien-Girls! Murph was blown away!

Unfortunately Murph had to leave soon! I said good-bye to Murph. I travel back home with my sister!

Goodbye to all of you, friends. It was a great party!  :D

And now it's time to say goodbye for some of my good friends and for my brother Soeren:
Lucky Lion will travel to Kuschi in Austria, Bernie wants to introduce her husband Wavy Gravy to her mother fleursmum in Australia and Soeren will visit Susie's.
Of course we had one of our famous and notorious farewell parties... ;)

Tomorrow is mum's birthday so we decided to surprise her with lots of muffins  :)
As soon as mum had left home we started our baking-party: First we collected all the ingredients we needed. Frederik read the recipe for us. And for the next five hours we occupied ourselves with baking 92 red wine-muffins (and with stopping Störte drinking the whole bottle of wine ;) )
Okay, of course we all had to try the muffins so we had 86 at last  :p
I'm sure it'll be a great surprise for mum!!
