Hello!

My name is Mr.Shawn and I am a cute, fluffy and curious brown sheep.

I live together with my parents, Melanie and Tim and their daughter in a small village in Thuringia, Germany. I am a little bit sad because I have not found a sheep-lady yet. Maybe you can help me to find my big love?

I love the green meadows and the Thuringian Wood. I would like to show other tv's the countryside or the castle "Wartburg" where Martin Luther translated the Bible.

I would like to visit Iceland and meet some cosy iceland-sheep-ladys. Food is a very important part of my life. Because of that I want to taste traditional food from Chile. And HEY, what about the nice animals in Down Under? Maybe we could be friends? And I also would like to visit China and have a lot of fun there.
In N.Y. is a beautiful woman, Miss Liberty. I think, I like her a lot  :)

I hope I will have a nice time around the world and I am looking forward to meet you!

See some pics from me in my hometown. *Brrrr* it is cold, I think i need a scarf!

Oh my Gosh, I'm soooooo nervous. My Mum told me yesterday that I have the opportunity to travel to Hamburg! It is the first time away from home!

My mum had been sad, but she said, she is also happy, that I could see this nice city!

I will write as soon as possible and make some pics.

My mum is not alone. Chubby Berry and Börnie are going to visit her.

I am looking forward to meet new friends! See you soon!

Yesterday Mr.Shawn arrived in Hamburg. He was really excited when he came out of his package. He took a walk around at our home. He met Bernie, Chubby Berrys best friend. And Carlotta, our daughter he met, too. He was a little bit tired and took a nap in Carlottas selfmade cradle.

Today we were out for a walk in Hamburg-Harburg, a district of Hamburg. It was a lovely autumn day. We saw the townhall of Harburg, some old buildings and a funny statue called "Großstadt Gören" which means big city cheeky girls. We also had a coffee in the city.

We have been to Hamburg Harbour in the afternoon. It was a really cloudy day but we still had fun. Birthdaybear was by my side.
But before we startet I had to boost myself with a great meal.
We saw a big sailing ship, the Rickmer Rickmers. It is a museum ship. And a submarine we saw, too. In the back you can see the skyline with the Michel. We were in the warehouse district (Speicherstadt). There we were in front of the miniature wonderland (Miniatur Wunderland) and the Hamburg Dungeon which shall be very scary. I’m glad that we were just outside. At the end of our walk we could see one of the big shipyards, Bloom + Voss.

I have to say goodbye to Hamburg and my host-family. We had a last cup of coffee and than I hugged Birthdaybear a last time. Hope to see him some day again.
Thanks Hamburg, it was a great time. Hope it'll be possible to come back again.
Tomorrow I start my journey back home. And after that I will cross the ocean towards the USA.

Hi mommy! I made it to Oklahoma safely. I got to help make Steampunk ornaments for the Christmas tree. Tomorrow is an American Holiday called Thanksgiving Day. Then later this weekend we'll be putting up the Christmas tree.

Thanksgiving Day was a lot of fun and we all helped make the dinner. My host told me that a long time ago, Pilgrims came to America, from England, to get away from religious persecution and the Native Americans helped them survive on the land and taught them many things. Religious persecution is the mistreatment of people because of their religious beliefs. The Pilgrims actually thought that this was India, which is why they called the Native Americans "Indians". There was a big feast that the Pilgrims and "Indians" had together in late November, but no one knows exactly when, so now Thanksgiving Day is on the fourth Thursday in November.

There was more history in this time including the Native Americans being forced off their land. Oklahoma is part of the Trail of Tears where Native Americans were marched into reservations and many of them died. This part of the history is quite terrible and sad. However, they still celebrate Thanksgiving Day in America and it's all about giving thanks for what you have and being with your family. I got to enjoy Thanksgiving with my Host Amelia and several other TV's...

Jinny's Masataku
Mischa's Paul
Katie's Charles
MamiTig's Myka
Ina's Schnattchen
Xadrian's Drashuven
GubbL's Kalso
Klubwerks (my host) Toki, Mulvane (Mully), Fleece, and Chico

We haven't put up all of the ornaments because we all decided that a white tree will show off the ornaments better. So, we're going to get a white tree and move all the ornaments to that tree instead! It'll be just a fun decorating that tree as it was decorating this tree.

Just goofing off with some other TV's and having fun making xmas presents!

We've been sneaking out of the house a few minutes early each morning to try and catch frost. It frosted outside one day, but hasn't frosted again. I will get a photo of with me in front of frosted snowflakes!

We're still working on presents, since xmas is only about 2 weeks away, and we get the white xmas tree this weekend. I am hoping to have more photos this weekend!

My host, Amelia, has a lot of toys. She introduced me to June and Gentleheart, her two lamb toys. Her childhood friend's mother passed away last year and June was named after her. She's a very pretty, soft, lamb. I have to confess that I stole a liss from her. Gentleheart (green) is a "carebear cousin" which is from an old 1980's cartoon. She's Amelia's favorite carebear cousin.

I also met Bessy the cow, Starshine (smaller snowman) and Holiday (bigger snowman).

Our host let me and Charles open one of her presents today. We found a bath toy in the bag! We named him German after all the German TV's that are visiting.

Me, Charles, and German got to eat some Flipz chocolate covered pretzels. We played with her new socks HA HA HA! We also played with her new little guns. She's been wanting a small gun to mod (turn into something Steampunk). Now she has three!

We had fun playing in with the presents. Amelia also says that we're going to put up the new xmas tree today too!

We decorated the Christmas Tree today. My host Amelia made all the ornaments herself, with the exception of a few sentimental ornaments. Tannen the Bedtime Bear ornament is one of the toys that lives here. I got to meet all of the xmas toys that live here too.

I posed in Jane's Hat, from the tv series Firefly. It's an old series that didn't last long, but they have a lot of fans.

The household decided to open presents early this year. They wanted plenty of time to play with thier presents over the weekend. Everyone in the house caught a terrible cold, so presents made everyone feel better too.

So, we toyvoyagers decided to open presents too! My host handmade me a vest and a scarf. It all fits nicely and is comfortable to lay in. My vest matches my color well (although a little darker than me) and the white scarf stands out in a good way.

Oh, and it's supposed to snow this weekend. We'll see!

Schnattchen and I went for some Mexican food at Los Vasqueros. We ate some tasty queso and a Chile Relleno dinner. We had a nice time.

I went shopping with my host and her husband today. We were primarily shopping for luggage. It wasn't too terribly exciting, but it was better than waiting around at the apartment!

We played with a bunch of Steampunk stuff and we had fun! They have a more western style steampunk here in Oklahoma. They like pistols, flintlocks, and the worn "old" look... poker cards... that sort of thing. It's pretty neat!

First, we had dinner at IHOP and then went to a Gabriel Iglesias show. He's a really funny comedian! We had a lot of fun. The show lasted almost two hours longer than it was supposed to. It was great!

I had fun celebrating Saint Patrick's Day in Bricktown (down town) Oklahoma City. My host says it's an Irish Holiday that they celebrate with getting drunk, listening to Irish music, and lots of green things and Irish flags.

We ate at Jazmo's, a cajun restaraunt - Black Magic Catfish! Oooo weee! It's blackened catfish topped with etouffee on top of dirty rice, and a side of fried ocra. It is SO GOOD! As a treat, we stopped into the Candy Factory. It's not really a factory, but they have a ton of candy there.

Then, we went for a long walk around the different lots where there was live music and green beer. We also enjoyed the wind blowing off the river. The white stuff in the water are petals from the peach trees. The peach trees smell awful, but they are so pretty!

We went to a Steampunk event called Nightmare Machine. It was held in Jefferson Texas, which they say is the most haunted town in Texas. We were sitting in the vistors center with a frame photo on the wall fell and broke, and then a bunch of people walked in saying that the Steam Train derailed and they all had to walk back. Thankfully no one was hurt... unfortunately we didn't get to ride the train.

Still we had a lot of fun. We went camping out by a swamp lake at the Cypress Bayou RV Camp Grounds. We saw a lot of neat things around town. We even visited some of the stores. The town itself was pretty neat because it is one of the oldest towns in Texas.

And it was moth season, because there were a lot of moth caterpillars crawling around. We brought two of them home only to find a third stow away in a bag. One of them already made himself into a cocoon (we named him Jefferson). I can't wait to see what kind of moth he ends up being!

I wanted to let you know that I'm okay!

Sorry about not being in the photos, I just wanted to show you the storm that was moving in. We're in "Tornado Alley" and it's Tornado season right now. There was a very dangerous "super cell" storm that passed through Oklahoma this weekend. It's been all over the news. There were several dangerous tornadoes that killed 5 people (3 were children) and injured 29 others. As exciting and beautiful tornadoes are, they are deadly and very scarey!

Don't worry, we are okay in our area of Oklahoma. The winds got really strong out, but luckily the majority of the storm went Northwest of us.

I had a great time at Aetherfest - a Steampunk Convention. The St. Anthony hotel was so beautiful! It was built in the 1880's in San Antonio, TX. We even walked down to the Alamo! This was were Texas fought the Mexican Rebels and won, despite impossible odds. Such brave and strong soldiers! You can read more about it here: http://thealamo.org/battle/battle.php

The other TV's in the photos are Toki (my hosts' bunny), Myka (panda from Kansas), and Schnattchen (duck from Germany).

On another note, I miss you mom! You've been missing for a long time and several toys are lost with you, including my hosts' toy kitty, Bo. I really hope you are alright and that you come back some day... but don't worry about me, mom. I'm very well loved with my host. I really like it here and she spoils me and the other toys all the time. My host says that I'm part of the family while you are gone, and she says you can contact her any time!

Yesterday's Annular (ring) Solar Eclipse had a Ring Of Fire! This doesn't always happen and the next one won't happen again for another decade or more. The Ring Of Fire is when the moon is directly infront of the sun creating a black hole with a thin ring of light (fire) peeking around the edges of the moon. There are also crescent shaped shadows under trees too!

We got to see the very beginning, but that was it. The clouds covered the sun. We had a lot of storms that day. But we still had a lot of fun outside and taking photos. Then when we got back inside, we watched a live stream of the eclipse.

The other TV's and I helped our host write an article about taking photos for toyvoyagers.com and it turned out pretty good! She's hoping this will be useful to other hosts. More than anything, it was just good fun. As part of the project, we had lunch at a diner called Freddy's and then stopped to smell the flowers. Here are the photos we took while getting photos prepared for the article... but only the really good ones. You can see the article here:

P.S. I still miss you mom! <3 <3

We took the bus down to Bricktown (downtown Oklahoma city). First we had lunch at La Luna's mexican restaurant. I had yummy Chile Relleno and some chips with queso and salsa. There was a lot of neat decore on the walls, and the staff was really nice. Then we went to the Myriad Botanical Gardens. It was wet and hot and a lot of walking... but it was so pretty there! They had waterfalls, exotic flowers, and some cactus. After that, we took the bus to Hooters, which is a restaraunt that serves wings. We only had the fried pickles for a snack before we took a taxi back home.

I am not in every single photo from the Gardens, because I really wanted you to get a good look at some of the plants and scenery. It was SO BEAUTIFUL in there!

The next US Holiday is Independence Day (4th of July). Everyone wears the colors of the American Flag - red, white, and blue. There's fireworks and general festivities. We made me a white band with a red, white, and blue stars on it.

Like it?
