Muuuummmyyy,
look.....snow...yeahh, we are in the Hils. The Hils is a range of hills in Germany's Central Uplands that is up to 480.4 m high. It is located in the districts of Holzminden, Hildesheim and Northeim, in the state of Lower SaxonyGeography The heavily forested massif of the Hils, which is part of the Leine Uplands and Weser-Leine Uplands, is immediately southeast of the knife edge ridge known as the Ith. It is located roughly northwest of Einbeck between Holzen to the west and Delligsen to the east and....tatatataaa...my first snow man ........ with help from a distant galaxy ..... Hi Mummy,
Yesterday we went to Hanover, and as you see, I was able to direct the car. Andrea told me where I should direct and Wacky-Z assistet me the other people have looked so funny, it's not normal that a turtle draws a car...Pfff...So I sat down front long way..... ... jipihh, Hanover... in the background you see the Marktkirche...The Marktkirche S. Georgii et Jacobi ( Market church Sts George and James), commonly known as Marktkirche ("The Church on the Marketplace"), is the main Lutheran church in Hanover, Germany. It was built in the 14th century and, together with the nearby Old Town Hall, is considered the southernmost example of the North German brick gothic (Norddeutsche Backsteingotik) architectural style. The roof and the vaults of the naves were destroyed in an air raid in 1943 and restored in 1952. The church is a Hallenkirche (hall church). Above the nave and two aisles rises a monumental saddleback roof. The high western tower was a symbol for the power and the wealth of the citizens of the town. It is still one of the highest towers in Lower-Saxony and a landmark of the city. In Hanover, I was at a Christmas market and have made some window-shopping, especially I liked the plush horses .... tomorrow is Christmas Eve ... I'm very excited and must still wrap my gift for Dr.Kröbner ... bye, bye and soooo many huggs and kisses |

Hi mummy,
Yesterday we made a trip to Fritzlar. Fritzlar is a small German town (pop. 15,000) in the Schwalm-Eder district in northern Hesse, 160 km (99 mi) north of Frankfurt, with a storied history. It can reasonably be argued that the town is the site where the Christianization of northern Germany (north and east of the Roman Limes) began and the birthplace of the German empire as a political entity. The town has a medieval center ringed by a wall with numerous watch towers. Thirty-eight meters (125 ft) high, the Grauer Turm ("Grey Tower") is the highest remaining urban defense tower in Germany Wacky-Z and I are a bit buggered by the city... this little street called "Fischgässchen"... In this small street behind the wall are very old houses, I have tried to climb over it ........ I did not make it. On the plate is some information about these houses, unfortunately not in English...but ..Curia were designated as the home of a Säkularkanonikers, a canon or a canoness, mainly for individual buildings are representative district in immunity to the church... At the end of the alley you have this great view of the Cathedral from the other side... The St. Peter's Cathedral is one of the most beautiful Romanesque-Gothic churches in Hesse. Three-aisled basilica The Cathedral of Fritzlar measures 43 meters (from the basement to the top). He continues to shape the cityscape of the small town in the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis (formerly Circle Fritzlar-Homberg). The three-aisled basilica in Fritzlar is considered one of the most beautiful in Germany. The city hall, first documented in 1109, is the oldest in Germany still in use for its original purpose The town hall is decorated with a stone relief from the 1441 Holy St. Martin, the patron saint of Fritzlar. a little break before one of the oldest houses in Fritzlar, it is now the Tourist Information I'm sitting here on the Roland fountain on the market square. Many houses in the town center, notably around the market square, date from the 15th to 17th centuries and have been carefully maintained or restored. Finally, I've looked in the cathedral ...look the Krippchen .. That was a great trip..... bye,bye mummy |

Hello Mummy,
Happy New Year from Baltrum....We took a ferry... Here is our hotel room, I've shared a bed with Wacky-Z, Dr.Kröbner had an extra bed In the evening we were alone and have a pillow fight made. When Andrea and Martin came back, we have situated in the bed and read ....... very brave. good night, your Bruno |
Dr.Kröbner Posted Jan 4, 2012, 3:07 pm |
Hello Mummy,
next day in Baltrum, first some informations.... Baltrum is a barrier island off the coast of East Frisia (German: Ostfriesland), in Germany, and is a municipality in the district of Aurich, Lower Saxony. It is located in-between the chain of the seven inhabited East Frisian Islands. Baltrum is the smallest island in this chain by area and inhabitants. We have made a long walk across the island If you climbed up onto an embankment somewhere on the North Sea coast to take a look at the sea, you could be in for a disappointment - there's not a drop of water to be seen! Instead a broad, barren flatness stretches away before you. But don't panic, the North Sea will be back - in the Wadden Sea, the water ebbs and flows twice a day, in a six hour cycle. Giving rise, between Den Helder in the Netherlands and Esbjerg in Denmark, to a 10,000 square kilometre the like of which is found nowhere else in the world looking for mussels again some informations..In order to protect this natural landscape on Niedersachsen's North Sea coast, the area was made a conservation area in 1986. Since 2009, the Niedersachsen Wadden Sea National Park is part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea. The 288,000 hectare Niedersachsen Wadden Sea national park covers the tidal flats between the rivers Ems and Elbe, including the East Friesian islands lying just off the coastarge wetland, a nice view and a break... another break ....puh long walk.... Sea buckthorn is a typical plant here.....found near the coast forming thickets on fixed dunes and sea cliffs what a nice trip.... huggs and kisses, love you .......your Bruno |

Hi Mummy,
I must tell you something.... I could help to bolster a over hundred years old sofa...First I had to settle old material, of which there are no pictures ..... Then the springs were tightened again.......hard work...puh upps.....help... bad spring.. The springs are covered with a heavy burlap and palm fiber with adhesive filaments is applied. Palm fiber is covered with a light burlap and then sewn into shape. and then....In the style refined palm fiber is laid and covered with a cotton pad....looks funny on the following pictures are still a few steps...I Think I need glases help.... On the quilting cotton upholstery fabric is stretched and nailed to the frame. .... To transitions to the wood, the fabric folded over and secured with nails or trim finished with a Möbelborte a break for "King Bruno".. and noooow....finished....the result is impressive... I`m very proud...... huggs and kisses your Bruno |

Hello Mummy,
I spend the weekend in Bad Wildungen, Bad Wildungen lies in the eastern foothills of the Kellerwald range in the so-called Waldeck holiday regio Mummy if you have any problems… Wildungen is a therapeutic spa with springs that bring forth water containing iron, magnesium and carbonic acid ("sparkling" or "carbonated"). The times when visitors would "partake of the waters" are somewhat bygone now. More at the fore of medical rehabilitation nowadays are orthopaedics, psychosomatic illness treatment, internal medicine, rheumatology, neurology, oncology and urology. Institutions for gerontological care (retirement homes, nursing homes) are also important services The church in the background is the late Gothic Evangelical town church from the 14th century A nice view I decided to visit Schloss Friedrichstein, which was planned by Count Josias II in 1660 and completed between 1707 and 1714 by Prince Friedrich Anton Ulrich zu Waldeck another little church... I feel soo relaxed, bye,bye I miss you your Bruno |
