annix Posted Nov 30, 2011, 2:22 pm	Hi mum, this is Duomo Square, in the center of Milano. Duomo is the name of the Cathedral. On the right there is the Royal Palace (which is now a museum) and on the left there is the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery. I'm also visiting the oldest part of the town! Bye, Phillipp

Krtecek Posted Jan 2, 2012, 4:12 pm	Dear mum, I have arrived to my new host. To a lovely home in Prague, Czech Republic. On my arrival I found out that my new host is leaving this evening to go to Paris and she is taking me with her. We are also expecting two more TV to come tonight.
Krtecek Posted Jan 2, 2012, 4:23 pm	My host wanted me to see some sights of Prague before we head to Paris. So we went for a short walk. To be able to buy hot chocolate to celebrate my arrival we "killed the pig". So here I am with the money my host saved. On our trip we saw Narodni dum at Smichov, famous dancing house inspired by Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire, passing along the Žofin (place of balls and other social and cultural events) and national theatre (the one with the golden roof). Finally we reached the Charles bridge and the panorama of Hradcany with Prague Castle (at the background) where we met another interesting creature Naomi. We thought she was also a toyvoyager but it was not. Our short trip ended in the Choco Cafe a famous chocolaterie in Prague with the best hot chocolate and home-made lemonade in Prague. Our last stop was the Betlem Chaper - a place of a Czech reformer Jan Hus who was burnt in 1415. It´s been busy but I enjoyed myself a lot. Now we are packing to go onto a new adventure.
Krtecek Posted Jan 4, 2012, 4:30 pm	Dear mommy, yesterday we took a bus from Prague to Paris. It took 14 hours but finally we arrived. In Paris I met all the other toys and also two other toyvoyagers. I have become friends with them almost immediately. Since we were tired after the journey we all stayed at home and relaxed. My host promised we would do some sightseeing tomorrow.
Krtecek Posted Jan 4, 2012, 4:35 pm	Today, our host went to school in the morning so we had to wait until the afternoon. But then the four of us (the host and 3 TVs) did a small sightseeing tour of Paris. It was nice weather so I left my hat at home. First we visited Notre Dame, a famous cathedral in Paris known mainly thanks to Victor Hugo and his novel - the hunchback of Notre Dame. It was so beautiful we walked all around it and took pictures from different perspectives. We even went inside to look at the most beautiful vitrage windows.
Krtecek Posted Jan 4, 2012, 4:42 pm	Since it was nice, we decided to take the bike to get to our next sight. It is a special bike - the velib. The system of bikesharing is one of the best thought through in the world. There are stations where one can take or leave the bike every 300 metres all over Paris. And the first 30 minutes are free. We stopped at the Hotel de ville - the townhall of Paris. It is a beautiful building on the bank of the river Seine. There is an ice-skating ring in front of the townhall. And a lovely merry-go-round for children. We finished out tour at Centre George Pompidou - a museum of modern art that is in the historical centre of Paris but it is a modern building with outside stairs. There are also many artists in front of the museum.
Krtecek Posted Jan 8, 2012, 10:40 am	Dear mum, today my host took me and the other TV to Latin district - a centre of all students in Paris. We visited the Pantheon a church and a burial place of many important frenchmen (Rousseau, Voltaire and others) which is on the hill. Then we walked down toward La Sorbonne a huge building of the ancient universitie (today it has building all over Paris) and the Cluny Museum of medieval art. The trip bruskly ended at Fountain of St. Michel as it started to rain. It was still a nice trip and we were quite tired so we had a small siesta at home.
Krtecek Posted Jan 8, 2012, 10:46 am	Dear mum, today the host showed us "Paris at night" atmosphere. We went in the evening to see all the lights and nightlife in Paris. It was awesome. Just before dark we went to the Arc de Triomphe and then walked down the Champs Elysées to the Concorde where we saw the obelisk and the Eiffel Tower (from a distance). Then we walked through the Jardin de Tuileries to Louvre. It was so impressive. But it was also very far so we slept all night like babies. Tomorrow we will visit the Eiffel tower!
Krtecek Posted Jan 9, 2012, 5:14 pm	Dear mum. finally the day D arrived and I visited the Eiffel tower. It is soooo big and beautiful. It is such an amazing feeling to be standing under the metal construction. And whats more there is this huge parc, where one can do a lovely picknick (as we did). And then just a few blocks away there is another beautiful building Les Invalides - it a church and a hospital for war veterans. And there is the tomb of Napoleon!!! Maybe thats why it has a golden roof.
Krtecek Posted Jan 9, 2012, 5:18 pm	And then, we went to Montmartre. That is a district in Paris with all sorts of artists - it is like a small village in the city. We saw painters at the place de Tertre and also musicians and comedians. The only drawback is that the district is on a very steep hill so we had to walk up many many many many many stairs to get to the very top. But then there was this beautiful Basilica Sacre Coeur which is also very famous and very pretty.

Krtecek Posted Jan 14, 2012, 7:07 pm	The first day of our adventure we decided to visit the capital Nicosia the last divided capital city in the world. It is an interesting mixture of Greek orthodox, catholic, colonial and muslim architecture. We stopped by the Sulimiye mosque in the Turkish part of Nicosia. It was originally a cathedral but it was changed into the mosque in the 16th century. Next to it we saw an interesting atique shop where we decided to take a group photo
Krtecek Posted Jan 14, 2012, 7:13 pm	Today was a day off. We relaxed. We decided to see the pool. It was nice and sunny and the pool was clean and we wanted to jump into but it was soooo cold. No wonder, in the middle of January.  At least we played pool games. Then we went to the beach. It was a lot warmer than the pool. There were pebbles all over and I felt at home.
Krtecek Posted Jan 14, 2012, 7:17 pm	The last day of our short trip we visited Kyrenia - an important port and an interesting tourist destination. In the old Harbour we saw many yachts, ships and speedboats. Moreover there are old colonial houses arounf the harbour and medieval castle at its end. Impressive.
Krtecek Posted Jan 23, 2012, 1:26 pm	After we left our two TV companion at Prague it started to be a little lonely but today, a new TV arrived from Germany. His name is Tedi. It was a happy meeting and the host took us ice skating. There was quite a lot of people so we did not stay for too long. Instead we decided to visit Buttes Chaumont, a lovely parc not too far from where the host lives. It is an artificial parc with a lake, bridges and even a look out tower dating from the 19th century.
Krtecek Posted Jan 23, 2012, 1:35 pm	Today is my last day in Paris. Tomorrow I will set off for a new adventure and leave my host with a new TV who will replace me. As a farewell we threw up a huge party where we invited all other toys (even those that are not travelling). We also thought of Krtecek who left only his hat behing (in the middle of the picture) and the new TV was so excited he started riding a caterpillar. It was a lovely evening for all of us.
RikeH Posted Jan 26, 2012, 9:02 pm	Hello Mum, today I arrived in Sülfeld. A friendly bunny - called Dicker Kumpel - gave me a warm welcome. Then he introduced me to his other guests. I said hello - and I showed my postcard - and my nice cap. It was dark outside, so I played in the flowers inside. I think that I will love it here. Bye Phillip
RikeH Posted Jan 30, 2012, 7:25 pm	Hello Mum, We had snow outside, so we decided to leave our chair and made a walk around Sülfeld. Look – there was snow  - it looked like winter! We are in the North of Germany and there are not many big hills here. So the children use this small mountain with their sledges. Behind me you can see the old school. It looks nice in the snow. The clock of the church was broken – we haven’t been there at 6 o’ clock. Back home in the garden we wanted to do something nice in the snow. We talked a lot. And here you can see what we created. Then we went inside the house – and found a great place! Love Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 3, 2012, 6:57 pm	Hello Mum, today I went to Hamburg with RikeH. She had to work there - and told me that there wouldn't be so many time for sightseeing. But I decided to come with her. Here you can see me in the city. I loved the people on the wall of the house. This is one of the biggest shopping-streets here, called Mönckebergstraße. We went into the main station. And took this train. I loved this place. But I saw more on this great place near to the window. It was snowy outside and the train drove really fast. Love Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 4, 2012, 6:33 pm	Hello Mum Today we went to a small city called Bad Oldesloe. RikeH went to school there – many years ago. We crossed a little river – but it was full of ice. This was the view to the other side. Behind me you can see the town hall. This is the Stadthaus – we all had no idea, what is inside it. There were many nice old houses. Dicker Kumpel and I had a rest – but it was a little cold – sitting in the snow. So we decided to walk to the church. The last thing we visited was this water wheel. Love Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 9, 2012, 8:51 pm	Hi Mum, Today a new ToyVoyager arrived. She is called Clairchen and visits Dicker Kumpel for the second time. She wants to come with us on a holiday.  We will go to Amrum tomorrow. But first we said Hello to Clairchen. It will be an adventurous trip tomorrow. Can you see what we read in the web? Here you can see it better – there is so much ice on the North Sea that not all ferries will be in use – and we cannot take the car with us. RikeH is very sad and disappointed, but we will cheer her up! Keep your fingers crossed for us that we will reach Amrum! yours Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 11, 2012, 6:41 pm	Hi Mum, Great News – we were allowed to go on this ferry!  And we went to Amrum. Look – there was a lot of ice on the North Sea. Maybe they didn’t know the way and we were on the way to the North Pole. We had fun in the restaurant and learnt that they say Moin Moin here, instead of Hello. Love Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 12, 2012, 4:47 pm	Hello Mum,  Yesterday we arrived in Wittdün. This morning we went onto our balcony and had a look around. Well – normally there is water – but now there was ice. Then we relaxed in the sunshine. Later we went to the dunes near to Norddorf.  Look – there was snow in the dunes. We climbed up a very high dune and had a nice view. We went to the water – well – water?  We saw some water – but more sheets of ice. I loved to sit on the wall of another look-out. Yours Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 13, 2012, 8:44 am	Hello Mum,  Another sunny day on the Amrum Island. We made another walk – this time around Wittdün. We were on the way to a small harbour – you can see it behind me. This was the view to the the big port, where the ferries stop. These funny colorful houses were next to the small harbour. Can you understand this phrase? There were more ships behind us. Ahoi from the North Sea. Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 14, 2012, 3:50 pm	Moin Mum,  Today we visited a lake for birds. But we didn’t see birds. Maybe it was too cold? So I decided to enjoy the view of the lake. Behind me you can see the way we came. This was the other direction. We talked a lot in the sunshine. Then we crossed a high dune and had this nice view. Can you find me? Here I am! Yours Phillip

We made a walk and went to the Coast. There was a lot of ice. There are meadows next to the water. And you can see the church again. This is one of the oldest houses in Nebel. Here is the wonderful windmill. Another wonderful house. It was a great day in Nebel. Love Phillip
RikeH Posted Feb 15, 2012, 6:56 pm	Hello Mum,  We had a sunny day again and wanted to visit the lighthouse. It was very windy, so I decided to go without my cap. We had to climb up 295 steps – it was exhausting, but we had a wonderful view. Can you see the shadow of the lighthouse next to me? I really love the North Sea and Amrum – we should visit it together, Mum. Look, here are some facts about the lighthouse. I want to show you our living-room. Can you see me? I like this boat, but it was too small for me. These stones were funny! But the best thing in the flat is this wonderful carpet! And here you see the chair of us ToyVoyagers! It is great! RikeH Posted Feb 16, 2012, 2:23 pm	Hello again,  Yesterday we visited the big lighthouse of Amrum – today we made a walk to another lighthouse. It was a smaller one called Quermarkenfeuer. It was a long walk – but then we saw it. It was not easy to take photos, because the sun was behind the lighthouse. We saw the North Sea and the Dunes. And you can see the way we came. We had a little picnic. Here I am in front of a nice aerial view of the lighthouse. On our way back we saw some deer. Love Phillip

RikeH Posted Feb 24, 2012, 4:24 pm	Hello Mum, I want to show you some decorations in our holiday flat. There is a really big sea shell. And some fishes – they can swim during the nighttime, because they have lights. This man is so tall. This fish – without lights – is very tall, too. Or maybe I am so small? Then we went upstairs. Two birds showed their view out of the window. I saw Foehr Island from another window. We have funny wallpapers here – one is with sailing ships… …and the other one with lighthouses. Yours Phillip
