today I've become a ToyVoyager to travel with Scilly and Richy.
I was born in a small tweed mill on the isle of Lewis, Outer Hebrides, Scotland, UK. Scilly and Richy found me there and decided to give me a new home in Hamburg, Germany.
My new life as ToyVoyager includes to be a good host for every ToyVoyager who wants to visit me and to accompany Scilly and Richy on every trip.
My first guest is TobiHH and I hope I will be a good friend for him.

Tomorrow my first trip as ToyVoyager will start. I will go to St Ives in Cornwall, UK. Scilly, Richy and my new friend TobiHH will accompany me.
Today we have to pack our baggage. I'm a little bit surprised which shoe size Scilly must have. Look, one of her wellingtons would be great enough for me!
TobiHH and I helped Scilly a little bit. On the scale we checked our weight to know how many desserts we can eat in Cornwall (I love desserts).

Today my first trip as ToyVoyagers starts. I am so excited!
We took the plane to go from Hamburg to London Heathrow. What a big airport! Now I am sitting in the 10.06 train from London Paddington to Penzance. The train will start in a few minutes.

After a long time in the train we arrived in St Ives. I was here in summer 2009 already. First I recognised Porthminster beach near the train station. The sun was shining. A really lovely view!
Our holiday apartment "Lighthouse" is nice with enough comfort and space to weather a rainy day. In the kitchen we found a welcome package with cornish scones, clotted cream, jam, coffee, tea and milk. Oh, my favourite thing in the flat is a clock with the union jack (because I was born in the UK).

yesterday we arrived in our holiday apartment in St Ives. First today I wanted to update my Travelog. TobiHH as a good friend helped me to write.
Later we wrote our shopping list. We have to stock up for a two week stay. Watch what a mountain of food we bought! You can just about see my head on the photo.

today we celebrate Scillys birthday. I gave her a travel guide to the Maldives. It was a small hint. As visiting the Maldies is one of my life missions.
We had a lovely birthday breakfast with cornish scones and clotted cream. Hmmm...tasty!
In the afternoon we enjoyed a beach walk.

Today was a very exciting day!I completed one of my life missions!I flew helicopter!It was a very nice and big one!The flight was from Penzance to Tresco,Scilly isles -the longest running scheduled helicopter route in the world!

We had a charming stewardess - she held me in her arms - sometimes its great to be a Teddybear!

After an exciting flight I enjoyed my stay on the Island of Tresco!
Look at the lovely cottages!My ToyVoyager friend TobiHH and I collected seashells on the beach - view our nice collection.
I climbed into a boat-it was low tide,so it was only on the beach.
What a great sunny day for March!I loved every minute of it!

Today it was cloudy weather and there were waves on the beach. We saw some surfers and many high waves. My friend TobiHH told me that he saw one man with his naked legs in the ice cold water.
In the late afternoon I checked Scillys and Richys shopping. They bought lovely cornish wine, 3 kinds of cornish sea salt. I specially like the daffodils.

today we were at the harbour again. First we checked the blackboard outside the harbour office to see the high and low tide times and weather forecast. There is a small plaque which remembers an old sailing world record. Then we took a look at the harbour with its fishing boats. And we were sursprised when suddenly the lifeboat was launched. Today we climbed the rocks between St Ives beaches. There are many high rocks. It can be dangerous climbing there, but I had everything under control.
Can you see my friend TobiHH and me sitting in the rocks? I have added picture zooming in on us.
We found an iron rail "eaten" into by the saltwater. It is very strong.
After all this we were so hungry, we went to eat a burger. First I was worried it was not going to be enough. But when they brought it I was very happy. What a lovely Burger!
On the way home we saw the lights of St Ives harbour. I like it when it is a little bit scary.

today is our last day in St Ives. We took a last walk trough the harbour and Fore Street. In a small art shop I fell in love with a charming little easterrabbit-Lady. Her name is clairchen. TobiHH and I decided that she must become a ToyVoyager too. And so we invited her to join us. In the evening we told her all the secrets of being a ToyVoyager. Now she is very excited about her future life.
As we had an early departure tomorrow morning we had to go to bed early.

a sad morning, we have to go home today. I would love to stay here but it is back to Germany with Scilly and Richy. We took the train to London Paddington. A lovely english countryside on the way.
From London Heathrow we flew with Lufthansa to Germany. On our way TobiHH and I explained all about traveling to our newest friend Clairchen. At the end of the flight I asked the Stewardess if she would hold me - yesssss, it's great to be a bear!

you are surely surprised to read my entry...yes – I am away from home without you and Richy. Let me explain it.
TobiHH told me that it was time for him to go home. So we went to the Alster Lake to meet RikeH (TobiHH's Mum) there. She brought Paddington Bear, too. Because one of his life missions is it to meet other TV-Bears. Great idea.
TobiHH told RikeH about his adventures, so Paddington Bear and I talked a lot and enjoyed the view and the sunshine.
I showed him the Townhall.

TobiHH came and gave me some chocolate, because we became really good friends.
I gave him a big hug – I will miss him.
It was time for me to go home. But – well – hmmmm – I am a ToyVoyager, so I decided to jump into RikeH's bag. I was quiet until I heart the noise of a train. We were inside – and I saw Paddington Bear, TobiHH and Dicker Kumpel having a picnic.
Dicker Kumpel was so happy to see me. We talked a lot.
He offered me his burger – but it was really small for me.
Fortunaly RikeH was so nice to share her dinner with me.
I will tell you more soon, no time at the moment - I have so much fun with my new friends.

we went to Bad Oldesloe. This is a small town near to Sülfeld. When we went into the city centre we crossed a bridge and saw this nice little river.
This is the Townhall - much smaller than the one in Hamburg,
There are many nice old buildings. But it was really cold as you see.
We saw the river again - there were some ducks, I told them about the life of a ToyVoyager, but they were not interested in coming with us.
Two other beautiful views - it was a nice place - I understand why the ducks live here.
I hope that you don't miss me too much, Mum. I have a lot of fun here.

the weather was wonderful – and we decided to make a trip with the bike. The way was really long!
After some kilometers I relaxed in the sun.
There was a lake – many fishes lives there.
The others already knew the nice places of Sülfeld – but I wanted to see them.
This is the old school.
Maybe I should become the mayor here. What do you think?

Right – not in the USA, but in Bad Segeberg.
RikeH told me that you spent some time in the hotel behind me.
I liked the view over the Lake.
We walked around the Lake – it was a long way.
There were nice flowers next to the path.
We went into the city to see the Church of Bad Segeberg – it is a nice little town.

I loved it to be here with Dicker Kumpel, RikeH and the rest of the TVs, but I miss you and want to tell Clairchen more about the life of a ToyVoyager, so I decided to leave Sülfeld.

Our next holidays starts. This time we will visit Falmouth and St. Ives in Cornwall and Bournemouth. I am looking forward to stay again in St Ives, my favourite place.
This morning at the airport we have seen RikeH. She and her ToyVoyagers are on the way to another great adventure.
Scilly, Richy, Clairchen and I took the plane to London Heathrow. Now we are at Paddington station and we are waiting for the 10.06 train to Penzance. It is very busy at the station.

we spend our first day in the UK in Falmouth. It is a lovely town with an ancient castle and a big marina. First we visited Pendennis Castle. It was built by Henry VIII in 1539.
Later we took the ferry to St Mawes, also a very nice town. I liked the colourful boates in the small harbour and the cottages (some with thatched roofs).

today Clairchen and I travelled to Rome, the italian capital. What an amazing city, so many historic buildings! The Pantheon, the Collosseum, Castel Sant'Angelo, Trevi Fountain and so on.
At the end of the day we decided that one weekend is to short for Rome. We will come back definitly.

In the afternoon Scilly and Richy had to go shopping. Clairchen and I did enjoy the wonderful weather on Porthmeor und Porthgwidden Beach. It was sunny and warm.

this was a nice sunday. We had our sunday lunch at the Tregenna Castle above the town of St Ives. The castle was built in the 18 century and is surrounded by 72 acres of gardens and natural woodland. See me in front of the castle.
After the lunch we made a long walk down to St Ives. At Malakoff we enjoyed the view over the town and played with a sculpure of world famous artist Barbara Hepworth - The Minotaur. A really nice playground for Toyvoyagers

What an amazing day! First we did go to Land's End with a topless doubledecker bus. We had great views along the coast. One elderly lady did note that today the Scilly Isles could be see from the mainland. That`s a rare event!
At Land`s End, the most westerly point of mainland Great Britain, we had a short lunch break with a view to Longships Lighthouse.
After the lunch we enjoyed a walk on the coastal footpath to Sennen Cove. There are some spectacular views with the lighthouse, some caves and the cliffs!
At the end of this afternoon we stayed at Rosemergy Barn to enjoy a Cornish Cream Tea in the garden. A lovely place!

today it was sunny but very windy. We stayed in St Ives. While Scilly and Richy made some shopping Clairchen and I decided to go to the harbour. It was low tide so we could reach the colorful boates and enjoy the sun on them.
In the evening we checked the bus and train timetables for the next day. Dependent on the weather we will go to Padstow or to Marazion and Mousehole.

we spent the morning in Marazion - an old cornish town, home of the world famous St. Michael's Mount. Like Mont St. Michel on the french side of the channel it was an abbey in former time. Now it is owned by the National Trust. I enjoyed the morning.

it was raining this morning. So we visited the Tate Gallery in St Ives.
In the afternoon the weather improved and we walked the coastal path to Zennor. Nice views back to St Ives.

this was a really exciting day! At 09.10 a.m. the helicopter took off to the Scilly Isles. It was my second day trip to Tresco and so I could explain the trip to Clairchen. She was a little bit frightened at first. But then we enjoyed the flight and the short stop at St. Mary's. It was the right day for Tresco. The sun was shining and it was very warm. See me in front of the old abbey. Next to it is the Abbey garden, an amazing subtropical garden.
We decided to walk along the beaches. it was like in the carribbean - white sandy beaches, blue water....
In the afternoon we reached the Island Hotel and sat down in the garden to have a refreshing gin tonic .
An amazing day on an amazing island.

today the weather was great, sunshine the whole day. We walked from Lelant to Carbis Bay on the coastal footpath. We had really nice views over Hayle, Porthkidney beach and St Ives.
From Carbis Bay to St Ives we took the train. Watch me on the station.
In St Ives we enjoyed the sun at Porthminster beach.

today is the birthday of my TV-friend Dicker Kumpel who is now in Canada with RikeH and other ToyVoyagers. I would like to say Happy Birthday to Dicker Kumpel. Enjoy your special day! Perhaps this is your great day and RikeH allows you to drive the car!!!
We were going to Padstow today by bus. Scilly allows me to make some photos with her camera.
In Padstow we visited Prideaux Place, an old manor house which was built in 1592. Since then the owners were always members of the family Prideaux-Bune. See me in front of the building and with some nice cars. I asked Scilly and Richy whether it would be fine to buy such a car. But to my regret they don't want to have one.

our time in Cornwall is over and we traveled to Bournemouth today. It rained all day. So we stayed in the comfortable rucksack during the trip. The hotel we booked is very nice and Clairchen and I enjoy the big bed and the sweet tray. And it rains, rains, rains......

today it was not raining. So after a nice breakfast we explored Bournemouth. It is a nice seaside town with a long pier. There are lovely gardens connecting the pier and the town centre. See me in front of some nice flowers.
Later we enjoyed a bus ride along the coast to Poole and Swanage. On point point the bus has to take the ferry. Quite exiting! Swanage is a small seaide town on the channel coast.

what an exiting day. We decided to go to the Isle of Wight this morning. This was my chance to complete one of my life missions! We took the hovercraft from Portsmouth & Southsea to Ryde. It was so much fun to ride a Hovercraft. Richy and Scilly made a lot of photos with me. I loved it. On the isle of Wight we visited Osborne House. Queen Victoria and her family spend the summer here. It is a very nice palace with a spectacular view across the Solent betweeen the mainland and the isle.

today we had to fly home. I would prefer to stay. But no chance!
See me in Heathrow Terminal 5 in front of a selction of Whisky. Unfortunatly Scilly and Richy did not allow me to buy one. But it was worth a try.

Now we are back home. But no worry. Next saturday we will travel to Mozart town Salzburg.

today we went on a day trip to Salzburg, Austria. My first possibility to see mountains.
I enjoyed breakfast in an old fashioned Austrian café "Bazar". It was so tasty! Then we looked at the towns sights. See me in front of Mozarts birth place and the castle.
Later that day we travelled to Germany to see the "Königssee". The boarder was so near. We took a boat on the lake and saw the famous church St. Bartholomä. They even had a beergarden there. I would have liked to have tryed the bavarian beer, but Scilly and Richy didn't let me - coke or water only for me.
But still I fully enjoyed my day.

I`m a little bad sad because Scilly was very busy in the last two month. So she didn't found any time to help me telling you something about my birthday party. But last week she promised to spent more time with Clairchen and me.
On the 1st Junly we celebrated my second birthday. Clairchen baked a strawberry cake for me - hm very delicious! And Richy and Scilly decorated te table with paper streamer, the birthday cake, some sweets, the presents and a paper lantern. Very nice. Richy and Scilly gave me a small Lego-lighthouse as present. I like it.
I enjoyed my birhtday party very much.

This morning we started on a daytrip to Copenhagen, the danish capital.
We took the 7.25 a.m. train from Hamburg.
The trip includes a ferry ride between Puttgarden and Rodby. See me on the top of the ferry with another ferry crossing and with our sea belt.
It was a sunny day. So we enjoyed a boat trip trough Copenhagen. What a lovely town. We saw the theatre, the Opera house, the royal yacht, the new libary (called the "Black Diamond" because of the colour of the building), the bourse, some churches, many bridges and so on. We also saw the Little Mermaid, but we only got a blurred photograph because the boat was to fast and we only saw the monument from the back -but I saw the Little Mermaid!
After the boattrip we walked along the Nyhavn Canal, a busy area with many restaurants and cafés! Take a look at the colourful houses. I enjoyed it very much!
In the evening whilst the train was parking on the lower deck of the ferry I enjoyed the sunset and later the moonshine on the top deck.
What a great day!

Yesterday Richy and I arrived on the italian island of Ischia (laying in the Gulf of Naples).
We started this morning with a nice breakfast.
Then we took a look at the shops. I found some nice travelguides for Ischia.
Look at the lovely local produce:

After that it was time for the Beach Bar. I found a shady place on the counter.

Today I went on a lovely trip to the wonderful isle of Capri.
Look at the fast ferry.
During our crossing we saw the worlds best cruise ship MS Europa.
Then we arrived in the grand harbour of Capri.
In Capri town I had a fruitshake in the famous square of Piazetta Umberto.
Then I took a trip to Anacapri with a chairlift. From up above I had a good view of Capri.
On the mountain I met a small american garden gnome called Mario. He is no ToyVoyager but travels a lot. We had a chat and had a photo taken.
In the evening we boarded our ferry back to Ischia.

today we took a day trip to the neighbour island of Procida. Very nice and colourful! It was a hot day but I enjoyed myself.

Back in the harbour of Ischia I enjoyed the last sunshine of the day.

This holiday is coming to an end. So we decided to make it a beach day. The last sunshine for this year? I even wore my sunglasses. Am I cool?
For a better view I even climbed up the sun umbrella.
When the lifeguard had his lunchbreak he asked if I would fill in for him. I proudly said yes. Here is me on the watch tower with the lifebelt.
In the afternoon I changed beaches and went to the fishermens beach at Ischia Ponte.
On the beach I found this little work of art.
This was our last day in Italy for this year. Tomorrow we will go home. Look forward to the next update from Hamburg.

how exciting! We have a new TV-guest. His name is Hoppsi. This morning the postman gave Scilly a envelope. Clairchen, Scilly and I were very curious. We opend the enelope and saw our new friend. Hoppsi was a little bit shy in the first moment. But we gave him a warm welcome. First we had a little snack. Hoppsi told us where he comes from and he wanted to know everything about being a TV.
In the afternoon we were going in the citycenter to show Hoppsi our wonderful Hamburg. See us in the rapid transit railway.
We went to the Alsterlake in the middle of the city. See me in front of the Binnenalster.
This is one of the many Alster boats.
In the mext two months we will have a lot of fun with our new friend.

Today we prepared a cake for Scillys work.
Scilly gave us this very long recipe.

We had to put some shortbreads on the cake (yes, a very difficult recipe)
And finally the cake is ready. Look at the result, we are very proud.

Today we showed our friend Hoppsi one of the oldest parts of Hamburg, the Nikolaifleet. In former times this town canal was used to load and unload boates. In the old timbered houses lived and worked many tradesmen.

Today we went to the airport to show our friend Hoppsi the airport and the planes. For the first time in his TV life he saw aeroplanes. He wanted to fly immediately. Thats not possible. But we had a surprise: We will fly all together to London next friday and than go to Cornwall by train. We will spend holidays in St Ives.

Today we traveled to Cornwall again, my third visit to St Ives and my friends Clairchen home town.
After a comfortable flight we took the train to Cornwall. See me with Clairchen and Hoppsi in first class - a luxury ride

Unbelievable - November and 16 degrees Celsius! So we decided to take a walk to St Ives beaches.

After Porthgwidden we visited the small Bamaluz beach which I like very much.
But my favourit is the harbour with its small beach and the colorful boats.

Today we had our sunday lunch in a small pub. Homemade pork, beaf and turkey with roast potatoes, a lot of vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and of course gravy. See me with my big plate full.
After lunch we went to Porthmeor beach. It was very windy but not cold.

Back at home we had a traditional cornish cream tea with scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam and of course a big cup of good tea.

Today Richy celebrates his birthday. Scilly, Clairchen, Hoppsi and I decorated the birthday table. It is very nice, isn't it?
The sun was shining. So we decided to go to the harbour. At low tide you can walk through the colorful boats.
See me in front of the lighthouse at the end of Smeatons pier.
On our way to Porthminster beach we had some lovely views back to the harbour.

Today we went on a bus tour through the Penwith Peninsula, the most western part of Cornwall.
In Penzance we had to change buses. See me with the many buses waiting.
On our bus tour we saw Mousehole, Lamorna Cove, Porthcurno, Lands End and St Just.
Then we got out of the bus and explored the countryside. Look at me and my friends at the beginning of a public footpath.
See me in front of some english cows. I was happy to have a hedge between me and them.
Then we found a lovely pub Gurnards Head.
Inside we had a hot chocolate by the fireplace.

today we our first rainy day. We decided to stay in our holiday apartment.
Look at me with my friends on the TV-bed in the TV-room. We each have our own cushion. Very comfy!
We played Hide and Seek in our room. See me on the wardrobe.
Then we tried to ride on a wooden seagull. All at once!
Scilly gave us a book. But there were no picture in it - boring!
Here we are playing in the shelves.
As we were all so well behaved Scilly gave us all an advent calendar.
Tonight we are off to Truro. But for now all the very best.

Tonight we visited the City of Lights parade in Truro. What a wonderful event!
But before it all started I took a look at the famous Truro cathedral. How imposing!
Now for the lights parade - just take a look and enjoy!
During the parade the christmas lights were switched on. What a nice evening. We had a lot of fun.

After a long evening yesterday at the Lighning parade in Truro we woke up very late this morning. The sun was shining. So we wanted to spend the day outside to enjoy the sun.

But it was windy. We found shelter below the rock. Can you see us?
Look at me above Bamaluz beach. But where is the beach gone? No worry, it's hight tide now. The beach depends on tide.

At the end of the day Clairchen and I showed Hoppsi the harbour amusement. It's very typical for an english seaside town.

Today was our last day in St Ives for this year. I'm a little bit sad. In the afternoon we had one last long look at the harbour. See me with my friends.
We saw a little dog hunting the seagulls. We talked to him and found out his name is Spencer. He works on a fishing boat. We told him about being a Toyvoyager.
Scilly and Richy offered Spencer to become a TV too. He was happy to join in. So all four of us took a long last look at Porthgwidden beach together.
Then we had to go home to pack the baggage.

Today was a day of traveling. A long journey!

we had a quiet week because Scilly was very busy. And the weather this weekend is quite terrible: rainy and windy. So we stayed at home and decorated for Christmas time.
Here is me with a fat round Father Christmas.

Scilly had a task for us. We had to put together the Christmas tea lights. Me and Spencer and Clairchen and Hoppsi we raced each other as to who could fishish the lights first.

As we all completed the task succesfully we got a German lebkuchen heart.

Today Scilly came home from work very early. Time to make a walk through the Alsterpark near Scillys home.

After it got dark we saw a house which was decorated with many christmas lights.

Today Scilly showed us the St. Michaelis church, known as “Hamburger Michel”. The Michel is Hamburgs landmark. See me in front of the church.
There are many Christmas markets in Hamburg. This is the entrance of the biggest one in front of the city hall. The entrance is really nice, isn’t it? So many lights!
So many to see on the Christmas market and so many people! Amazing!

this weekend we spend in Mecklenburg at Scillys parents. This is Scillys childhood home.
In the morning we baked Christmas cakes. See me with the rolling pin.

today is the last day of the year. We spend this weekend in Mecklenburg. In the evening we will have a New Years Eve party.
But in the afternoon we took a long walk in Ludwigslust. See the nice palace behind me.
This is the view opposite the palace with a waterfall.
We found this church in the park behind the palace.
There are many small lakes and streams in the park.
On the way home Scilly showed us the old castle in Neustadt-Glewe.
Unfortunately the castle museum was closed.
Now I'm looking forward to the New Years Eve party.

Sunshine and ice in Hamburg! Time to see the Hamburg harbour in winter.

This is an old custom house in the Speicherstadt.
Look at me in front of the Elbphilarmonie which is currently built. It is going to be a concert hall.
Behind me you can see the freid ship Cap San Diego now a museum ship.

today we got a foretaste for the next weekend.
The lake Außenalster in middle of town is frozen. And there will be a great festival, the “Alstereisvergnügen” the whole weekend with thousands of people and also some ToyVoyagers.
So Scilly showed us a small lake near her home with some people which were ice-skating or playing hockey. Perhaps I can learn ice-skating?

The first time for 15 years the Alsterlake is frozen and the ice is thick enough to have the Alstereisvergnügen (in english Alster ice party). 500,000 people, many dogs and at least two TV's were there.
See me in the middle of the action.
Then it was time to test the ice.
I saw some firemen with a dingy. They told me that they rescue the injured people from the ice. But as they did not have any emergencies they invited me for a ride.
On the way home I took these pictures from the Kennedy bridge back to the Alsterlake. Look at all the people. Amazing!

today we had some sunshine. So we decided to took a short walk along the town centre.

Here I am sitting in front of an Alstercanal and the Alsterarkaden. The Alsterarkaden is a small way along the canal with some shops and cafès.
Then I showed Bärndt our beautiful town hall.

today my friend Bärndt and I explored the Hamburg airport. I have flown many times before but it is allways nice to be at the airport.
See me watching the planes on the viewing terrace.
To get a better view I used this big binocular.
In the airport hall there are many travel agencies. I checked out the places and prices. Where shall I fly to?

Then we saw the check-in desks, first Air Berlin and then Lufthansa.
Soon I will fly to Madeira. I tried to check in for my flight on the self service machine. But it was to early
Then we saw this lovely car at the car hire company. But they said I'm too small to drive.
Back at home we got a surprise. My best friend Clairchen wrote a postcard. She is having a lovely time on the isle of Amrum. See us reading the card.

Today we visited the Chocoversum. It is a museum where you can learn everything about chocolate.
Look at my friend Bärndt and me in front of the Chocoversum.
First we saw some sacks with cocoa beans.
The cocoa fruits smells interesting.
On this scale the cocoa beans are weighed.
This is a rolling machine for the roasted and broken pieces of cocoa beans.
This machine conche the chocolate. The result is very delicious.

tomorrow we will fly to Madeira. And so we had to pack the baggage.
Scilly came home. Who is that? A TV in Scillys bag!
We gave him a warm welcome. His name is Erol the Pirat and he will come with us to Madeira.
We had to hurry packing the suitcase with all the important things like a cup, a plate, a candle holder etc. etc.
But Scilly did not like what we have done
And she had a surprise for us. We got a parcel from Spencer. He ist my TV brother. He join the big German Round Robin at the moment.
We were very curious. So we opend the parcel.
We found Spencers carnival costume, a dictionary for Hessian, some postcards and some sweets for us

Today Clairchen came home and brought some new guests with her. HömpfMömpf, Clairchen and my friend Dicker Kumpel sat in Scilly's bag and looked out.
I gave them all a warm welcome.
They clambered out of the bag.
Scilly said that we should use the time to prepare our holidays. We will go to Madeira next saturday. So we got this travel guide.

today our holdidays began. After packing the suitcase yesterday we were ready to fly this morning.
See me waiting in the airport building in front of our airplane.
We had a great fly. See me sitting in my own seat!
I got the full service with coffee, water and a sandwich.
But to sit alone is very boring. So my friends Dicker Kumpel, HömpfMömpf, Clairchen and Erol came and we had a nice chat.
So we began to read the travel guide. Now we are well prepared for our stay on the isle of Madeira.
Then we took a look out. But there was nothing but some clouds and the sun.
After landing we took the Aerobus to Funchal and met our rentlady. She showed us our holiday apartment. The weather is really great: 20 degrees and sun, sun, sun. We took a first look from our 2 balconies.
Now we are very tiered. But I am sure we will have a great time on Madeira.

Yesterday 7 degrees in Hamburg, today 21 degrees and no clouds in the sky! I love Madeira!
First we discovered the market hall. Today on sunday it is not open. But tomorrow we will take a look at all the exotic plants, fruits, vegetables and fish. See me in front of the market hall.
HömpfMömpf had a life mission to see palm trees. I want to show you its first palm tree.
On our walk trough Funchal we found this little church. How picturesque!
This is an old castle by the see. A liked the yellow.

as I told you yesterday we went to the market hall this morning. So many colorful fruits, vegetables, fish and flowers to see.

Here are some localy grown tomatoes.
Take a look at all these exotic fruits! We were able to taste some of them. Yummy....
Madeira is well known as the flower island. See me in front of a lovely flower stall.
There is also a separat fish hall. Look at me in front of the catch of the day.
On the way out we saw two cruise ships in the harbour, the AIDAsol and the Thomson Destiny.
Back at home we took a look at the exotic fruits we bought this morning.
The green long thing in the middle is a ananas banana, the big green round thing is a soft mushy apple and the small rounds are different kinds of maracuja.
It is a shame we can’t share the beautiful smell with you.

Today is Scillys birthday. We TV’s helped Richy to decorate the table. It is nice, isn’t it?
To celebrate the birthday Richy invited us to a traditional english tea time in the Reids Pallace Hotel. We sat down on the terrace and had a lovely view over Funchal and the sea. See me in front of the food. We had sandwiches, scones and little cakes. Yummi...
After eating so much we walked back into town. First we passed the casino of Funchal. We took a quick picture but we are not allowed inside, minimum age 18!
Then we passed through some gardens. See me with some really great palmtrees and cactuses.

From this terrace we had a view of the marina of Funchal.

today we went on a trip to Monte. That`s a village 600 m above Funchal. We didn’t want to walk up so we took the cable car. What great fun. See me and my friends riding the cable car.
Monte is well known for its basket cars. Two people sit down in the wicker basket and ride down the streets into Funchal driven by two pushers. It works without snow! Crazy!
There is also a well known church in Monte, the Nossa Senhora do Monte. The last austrian mpror lies here. See me in front of the church.
As Madeira is world famous for its plants and flowers we visited the garden „Jardim Tropical Monte Palace“. Here you can find many plants and flowers. See me in front of some really nice ones.
There also some sculptures in the garden.
This is the worlds biggest vase which was made by hand. It has a height of 5 m.
Oh look, this is called Rheinschlösschen. A former owner of the gardens was impressed by the upper Rhein region and build this house acordingly. It was used as hotel.
They also had a part which they called the Japanese Garden. See me in front of an asian gate.
Portugal is very famous for its portugese tiles calls Azulejos. See me in front of one typical tiled picture.

Today we went on a trip to Santana. Santana ist he biggest city in the north of the island. We took the bus. It was quiet an adventures ride over mountains and through valleys. See me sitting on the bus.
Santana is well known for its triangular houses with thatched roofs. See me and my friends in front of some Santana houses.
We sat down in an old chair and enjoied the sunshine.
Then a lady in the traditional outfit came and put us on her knee.
The town also has a nice little church. So we took a picture.

Today is our last day on Madeira. We went on a trip to Camara de Lobos. It is a small fishermen village in the south of Madeira. See me with all the colorful boates.
Wow, this is stockfish. Have you ever seen it before?
We enjoyed the sun on a fishing boat.
After a short walk we had this fantastic view back to the village.
In the afternoon we visited a cellar with old madeira vines.

this is our last morning in Funchal. In the afternonn we will fly home to Hamburg.
But before we have to leave I would like to show you the town hall of Funchal.
This church is a former abbey and belongs now to the university of Funchal.
Oh look, so many flowers over a beck in middle of town. It's very nice, isn't it!
Then we had to go to the airport. See me on the terrace of the airport building in front of a TAP plane. Can see the Air Berlin plane which was landed a few minutes ago?
Time to fly home!

today we had to say good bye to my dear friend Dicker Kumpel. Time to have a good bye party
Dicker Kumpel and I organized some glasses for the party.
Dicker Kumpel and Clairchen searched for some drinks. They chose white port for the gentlemen and chocolate liqueur for the ladies. The bottles were very heavy. So all TV's had to help to transport the bottles.
Everything was ready then. We had glasses, drinks, sweets and some paper streamers.
Let's have party! See us having a lot of fun.
We were a little bit drunk.
But then it was time to say good bye to Dicker Kumpel.
I gave Dicker Kumpel a big hug and invited him to join us for another holiday in the future.

today we had sunshine and so Scilly decided to have a walk through the city center after work.

We decided to make window shopping. Richy is searching for a new clock. Perhaps we will find a nice one.

today we went on a day trip to Mallorca
What a great idea!
At 8.25 a.m. we landed on the isle of Mallorca.
When we left the airport we saw so many busses collecting all the tourists for the hotels.
Then we had a look at the timetable for our bus to Palma. See me in front of the bus plan.
From Palma we went by an old train to Söller. That's me at the train station in Palma.

From outside I had a first look into the train.
Look at me enjoying a nice trip.

In Söller an old tram connects the train station with the harbour.
Söller has a really beautiful small harbour with blue water and some nice yachts.
Before leaving Söller we had a cup of coffee in a small café.
In Palma we found a small beach to enjoy the sun. What a beautiful place.
I took a sunbath.
Before going back to the airport we had a last glass of Gin & Tonic at the beach.
What a wonderful day!

this weekend we visited Scillys brother. He build his own house in Zarrentin in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and moved in two weeks ago.
Outside we still saw some building materials.

After sunset we had our evening meal.
Tomorrow we will walk along the lake Schaalsee.

today we explored Zarrentin. This village is situated in the west of Mecklenburg on the lake Schaalsee.
Some parts of the lake are a nature protected area.

In this church take place many concerts during the year.
We found a museum with many old agricultural equipment.

today the sun was shining and we walked around the Hamburg Airport. It's nearly like a park. A park with a view (to the planes)
Can you see the runway behind me?
This is the Tarpenbek canal.
My friends and I had a little break on the bank and chatted a little bit.
This is an entrance for the employees of the airport. But it only leads to the sportsground.
We found a small lake next to the airport. It is not for swimming, only for fishing.
And at last I saw some planes on the runway!
Our trip ended with a iced chocolate at the airport. Hmmm.....yummy
Back at home Scilly showed me our walk on a map. It is really situated in the town.

Scilly was very busy this week. But today she had a very big surprise for us.

At the airport we saw how they brought our airplane to the gate.

from London Paddington we took the 10.06 service in the direction of Cornwall.
It was a long journey to Cornwall. I used the time to get some information in the travel guide.
Then I had a chat with my friends.
I looked out of the window. See me enjoying the countryside.
After this long journey we arrived in Bude, our home for the next few days. First we checked our bed in our B & B "The Beach at Bude". Very comfortable.
Then we enjoyed the sun on our own terrace. Holidays are great!
In the evening there were great fireworks in and around Bude to celebrate the Queens Diamand Jubilee. Sorry, we did not take any photographs. It was to dark.

Today we explored Bude. It is a lovely small town with some great beaches.
This is Summerleaze Beach from above.
There were many surfers in the water.
Because at low tide the water is so far away from the town they build a sea pool in the rocks. We saw the sea pool at high tide.
Then we walked along Summerleaze Beach. There were many people on the beach playing with their children and enjoying the sun.

Bude has an old canal. In former times the canal connected towns like Launcesteston with Bude and with the sea.

what a day! Scilly and Richy did forget the rucksack with the TV's in it in the guesthouse. Only UrselHH could jump into Scillys pocket.
So LewisHH, Clairchen and I had day alone in our room. We lay in the bed and watched TV the hole day.
When UrselHH, Scilly and Richy came back we were really cross and didn't speak to them.
But it was not the fault of UrselHH. And she was so friendly to show us all the photographs of the day.
First they visited Boscastle. It is a small harbour town on the north coast of Cornwall.
Then they drove to Tintagle, where the world famous King Arthur lived in former times. His castle is only a ruin nowadays.
Scilly and Richy promised not to forget us anymore.

today we went to Port Isaac, a lovely little fishing village.
This is the view to the harbour from above.
We found this little shop with the big ice cream. Should this be enough for me?
See me in front of the life boat station. in 618 missions they rescued 320 people since 1967.
Look at the colorful boats in the harbour - very nice.
We found this little cave.
Then we drove to Morvenstow, also a little village on the north coast of Cornwall. Because of the stormy and rainy weather we did not want to walk through the place. So we went into a small tearoom and had a delicious afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes and fruits. Great!

after a stormy night in Cornwall it is time to leave Bude and go to St Ives, our next stay.
We had a break at Rosemergy Barn. It is a privat garden where you can have cream teas. We decided to take a piece of chocolate cake.
It's a nice garden, isn't it?
Then we arrived St Ives and entered our holiday apartment "Lighthouse" for the next two weeks.
The bed is big enough for 4 TV's.
And we got 4 towels. One for each of us.
We had a look into the fridge. But what's that? It was nearly empty
Look, we shopped a lot of things in the supermarket. Do you see me?
I especially liked the good english sausage, english peas and Royal Jersey potatoes.

today we walked around Godrevy point on the coastal path.
Look, there is a really big beach at Godrevy point.
See me standing in front of Godrevy Lighthouse. It is a shame, it is not possible to climb up the lighthouse because it is situated on a small island.
Look at the amazing coastline of north Cornwall.
Look at us sitting on a style of a public footpath.
This sign shows we are on the coastal path.
In the evening we watched Germany playing against Portugal.
Look at us enjoying the match. Because we all are living in Germany we support the german team.

today we went to Zennor. It is a small village on the north cornish coast.
There is an old water mill in Zennor which is still active. See me in front of the wheel.
That's very interesting! The Plague stone! When the Cholera came to Cornwall the people from Zennor gave vinegar into this stone and washed the money which they got from other people. So they could desinfect the money.
Nowadays is a café and a youth hostel in the old chapel. They say that they have the best chocolate cake in Britain. I wanted to try a piece. But we had no time. So I did not doublecheck it.
Zennor is famous for the pub "Tinners Arms" What a nice sign.
From Zennor we walked along the coastal path. The section between Zennor and St Ives is one of the hardest parts in UK. So we only walked a short part of it.

today we joined a bus tour through the Penwith Peninsula. It is the most westerly part of Cornwall. This bus route is called the "Cornwall Expolorer" and there are special buses for this route: topless double-decker buses. It is a great fun.

Look at me in front of Sennen Cove. It has a big beach with a lot of space for surfers and families.
Here we are at the coach park of Lands End. It is the most westerly point of mainland Britain. We will explore Lands End next week.
This was funny: A german coach and the ladys prepared sandwiches, cakes and drinks while the men were exploring Lands End.

Our bus driver was very friendly and he liked the idea of travelling Toyvoagers. So he allowed to make a picture with him in front of our bus.
On the way back we left the bus at Gunnards Head. It is a small pub with a restaurant and some guest rooms.
That's me in the pub. We had a table in front of the fireplace. Yes, the fire was burning although it is summer (or late spring).
Back at home the sun was already shining. So we decided to have a walk in the evening sun. See me on Porthmeor beach.

our first stop today was Charlestown near St Austell. UrselHH has been here already when she stayed in Cornwall last year. So she could show us the village.
There is a small harbour in the village with some beautiful sailing ships in it.
Look, it is very nice here, isn't it?
And there are many wonderful cottages in Charlestown like this one.
But we only had a short stay because we are on the way to Fowey.

from Charlestown we went to Fowey. It is also an old harbour town on the south coast of Cornwall.
First we saw the nice church.
In former times Fowey was famous for its smugglers. One man was called "The kind of Prussia", he was the most famous smuggler. See me in front of a hotel named after this man.
On this kiosk we bought some tickets for a boat trip.

the weather is not so good at the moment. We have a lot of rain and wind. Although we walked through St Ives today.

This is a statue of the famous artist Barbara Hepworth who lived in St Ives. Watch us playing on this statue.

And then it was raining again. We decided to have a hot chocolate in Porthgwidden Café.
There was a tent over the terrace, so it was possible to sit outside and have a great view over Porthgwidden beach.

today we went to Lands End. It is the most westerly point of mainland Great Britain.
There is a amusement park where we found a cornish village in miniature. Look, I found the perfect home for me.
At Lands End we found The Last & First House in Great Britain.
My friend and I had a picnic break at Lands End.
Then we walked along the coastal path to Sennen.
You have to be careful because the cliffs can be very dangerous.
This is the view over the sea to Longship Lighthouse.
What a big stone. With my special carate move I managed to split this stone into two parts. Watch my work

In Sennen Cove we found this beautiful small harbour.
Tomorrow will be another great day. We will fly with a helicopter to Tresco.

what a day! We had to stand up early because we had the 9.35 helicopter service to Tresco. See me with my boarding card.
That's me in the helicopter. I enjoyed the flight very much.
After 20 minutes of flight we landed on Tresco. See me in front of our helicopter, a Sikorsky S 61.
The isles of Scilly are situated 45 km (28 miles) off Land End. There are 5 inhabited islands and a lot of small rocks. Tresco is one of the inhabited islands. First we walked around Tresco.
This is one of the white beaches.

after this amazing sunshine yesterday we have a lot rain today. But we wanted to go for a walk. So Clairchen showed us the beaches of her home town St Ives.
First we saw Porthgwidden beach. It is only a small beach and used by families. But today no families at all.
See me on Bamaluz beach. It is the smallest beach and only to use at low tide.
See these big houses behind Bamaluz beach. It seems that they are well equipped for every storm.

We had low tide and so we could walk between the boats.
It seems that two of the boats fell in love with each other

our holidays are over. We safely arrived in Hamburg last weekend and had a lot of work: unpack the suitcases, wash the clothes, clean the flat etc.
Scilly found an envelop in the letterbox today. We were very curious. And then a small head looked out of the envelop: a new Toyvoyager!
We had a little chat. His name is Aurelius and he joins the Big Germany RR like SammyFire
We showed Aurelius our favourit toys and played with it.
Then it was time to say Good Bye to our friend SammyFire. He travels to Noisy in Hesse. We wish him a very pleasant time.

This was an amazing day! My friends and I traveld to Bavaria to visit the highest mountain of Germany - the Zugspitze!
With airplane and train we went to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It is a very nice town in the south of Germany. See me in front of a typical house for this region with the so called "Lüftlmalerei"- the painting on the house wall.
From Garmisch-Partenkirchen a train goes up the mountain.
After one hour we arrived the Zugspitze Gletscher (ice-stream) The sun was shining and we had a fantastic view.
There is a small church near the train station.
Then we went to the top of the mountain. It has a high of 2.962 m.

This was funny: The Zugspitze has also an austrian part. You can go to the federal state Tirol on the Zugspitze
At the top of the mountain the weather became worse. We stood in the middle of a cloud.
But no problem! We decided to have a hot chocolate before going down.

on our way home we a had a short stay in Munich. So we used the time and visited the townhall and the surroundings.

it`s weekend and we had a plan what to do today. So we went to Blankenese - a district of Hamburg.
Yes, we arrived in Blankenese. See me in front of the station square.
But after 2 minutes it began to rain. And it became worser and it a thunderstorm came. Not the right time to visit Blankenese! So we decided to go back home. See me sitting in the rapid transit line while it is raining outside.
Back at home I had an idea: I organized a alcohol testing.
Look at me and my friends in front of the selected alcohol.
First I explained a banana liqueur.
Quite sweet - but I'm a sweet tooth
Then a rum followed. Hmmm..... very strong!
I liked the white Port. A great aperitif!
Oh look, we compared two Madeira wines, one from 1987, the other from 1999. I prefered the older one.
This is a 43 (cuarenta y tres) - a spanish sweet liqueur.
The next one is a ten year old red port wine - strong and fruity.
This was the beginning. Now we had a full glass of Aperol Spritz.
No, this was a joke - I only tried a few drops.
The rest was for Scilly and Richy.
But now we tried this delicious austrian chocolate liqueur.
But never fear! I only tried a few drops of every glass. And I organized that we drank a lot of water in between.
I think I am now a expert for alcohol. What do you think?

today we visited the port of Hamburg. It is Germanys largest port.
See me in front of the famous Landungsbrücken. It is a very popular place in Hamburg with some museum ships, a lot of souvenir shops, some restaurants and cafés. The ferries to other parts of Hamburg and to the isle of Helgoland starts here.
We took a boat trip along the river Elbe.
Look at the the dry-dock behind me! This is a place where ships can be overhauled.
We saw some container boats and a lot of tower cranes.
And then we saw a real royal ship: the Queen Elisabeth. Nearly one year ago we already saw this cruise ship in the Solent between Porthmouth and the isle of Wight.
Oh look, the town harbour of the Queen Elisabeth isn't Southampton in UK anymore. It is Hamilton on the isle of Bermuda.
Next to the cruise center we saw this funny building!

finally summer has arrived in Hamburg.
And we visited the towncentre. See me in front of the really nice and imposing town hall.
There is a lot of small canals in Hamburg. Look at the lock behind me.
Here I am standing in front of another canal and the Alsterarkaden, a historic shopping lane.
And just another view over a canal.
Then we went to the Binnenalster - a lake in the middle of town - with the big fountain and some white passengers boats.
A lot of people like to sit by the lake and enjoy the sun.
There is the smaller Binnenalster and a larger Außenalster. There are many sailing boats on the Außenalster.

We were busy planning a trip to Venice next weekend. So Miss Zoe helped us and we closely studied a detailed map of Venice.

this morning i enjoyed a breakfast with tea, apple juice, a brezel and a muffin on the plane from Hamburg to Venice in Italy. Thats my favourite kind of breakfast
On our way to Venice this was our first pallace we saw.
Thats the world famous Rialto bridge in the Grand Canal of Venice.

We visited the Rialto market with its fruit, vegetable and fish stalls.
Look at the gondola behind me. It is called "Tragetto" and is used by the locals as a ferry to cross the canal.
It is time to go to the hotel and have a short break.
After the break we enjoyed fruits and a drink on our terrace.
Do we have a nice view from our terrace? We do!
In the evening we explored the surroundings from our hotel and found this old ship.
I think I love Venice.

today is our last day in Venice. And we had the chance to see Venice from above:

Look at me in front of our hotel. It is only a small hotel.
This small place is situated next to the hotel.
There is not much space for a garden in Venice. You just need some plant pots.

A new guest arived today. The parcel was opened and we saw a teddybear.
His name is Bärnd
He showed us the nice postcard he brought with him.
We talked a lot. It was a nice and sunny evening in the Alsterpark.
Then we decided to have fun in the playground. See me on the different obstacles and enjoying time with my friends.
I have some great news to share with you. At the weekend we will visit Windsor and it's castle where the Queen lives

what a great day! Today we flew to London Heathrow and took the local bus to Windsor, a small town near London.
First we saw the very nice guildhall.
On the other side of the road we saw this hotel. And the name ist the first clue to the main attraction of the day: Castle Hotel.
Oh look, this is Windsor Castle from the east side with a beautul view across the gardens to the part where the Queens actually lives. This is what the Queen describes as her home.
This is the guard that looks after the Queens private little entrance. The guards are called beefeaters.
Oh look, we just came in time to see the changing of the guards. It was a great ceremony with music.
Behind me you can see a part of the castle wall and the round tower. Windsor castle is very old. First parts were built a thousand years ago. Very impressive!
On the way to the moat garden we had a view to the Upper Yard, where the queens state guests are welcomed.

Before we left the castle ground we saw St George chapel. It is the chapel of the garter (Hosenbandorden).
This is a last wonderful view back to Windsor castle.

after a quiet flight we arrived in Manchester. See me in front of our train which took us to York.
York is a very old town. Funny, this old tower is situated next to a red phone box.
This is York art gallery.

Last week we visited the moat gardens of Windsor castle. This is the moat garden of York.
I liked this half timbered-house.
There are a lot of old and charming narrow lanes in York.
Look. we found this funny teddy bear shop - I was quiet surprised.
York is famous for its 800 years old minster.
The view of the minster was so nice we decided to take a seat and have a coffee.

we are back in Hamburg. And today we took a trip on the river Elbe, a must for every Hamburg visitor.
At Landungsbrücken we boarded our ship.
This is the part of Hamburg, where in former time the goods like coffee, tea and carpets were stored. It is called "Speicherstadt".

In the background you can see the new Speicherstadt, where actually a new part of town is build with flats, shops, offices and a cruise ship terminal.
This is one of the harbour locks.

With these cranes the container ships are loaded and unloaded.

today we went to the west of Hamburg.
First we visited the Jenisch park. The Jenisch-house was build in the 19th century for the senator Jenisch. It is surrounded by a beautiful park.

Our next target was Blankenese. The steep hillside residences boast many tiny, pedestrian-only streets and 4,864 stairs.
Look. what a nice house with so many flowers! I love it!
From Blankenese we took a ferry to Cranz. On our way we saw this big ship on the river Elbe.
In Cranz we had a walk along the river Este.

today we visited one of the landmarks of Hamburg.
Do you know which one it is?
Yes you are right, it is the famous harbour church - the "Michel" (St. Michaelis church).
We climbed up the 300 stairs. Look, what an amazing view over Hamburg.
Some people tried to climb even higher. I wonder if they made it over the clouds.
See me in front of the Nikolai Fleet. It is an old canal through the old part of Hamburg with old storage house on either side.
Then we went to the town center. That's me in the courtyard of the town hall. Someone gave a single rose to the fountain figure.

We saw a small green face looking out of the envelope.
We talked a lot and then we had the idea to try some nougat-creme.....yummi....

today we had a wonderful sunny day. So we decided to walk along the "Alsterwanderweg" (Alster walking way).
It is a park along the river Alster. See me in front of the Alster. There are so many nice places.
We had a rest and sat down on an old tree.
We wanted to drink a coffee in a small café, but to our regret it wasn't possible to get a free table.

His name is Alex24 and he is a TV-dog.
I told that I have a dog as TV-brother. His name is Spencer and we looked at his updates.
Alex had a lot of questions about Hamburg. So Scilly showed us the Hamburg flag and a lot of information in the web.

the day began with a flight from Hamburg to Zurich.
See me enjoying the view out of the window.
Flying with an plane is very comfortable. I had the full service with tea, a coke and a chocolate bar.
The only thing I did not like was the seat belt.
Zurich welcomed us with sunshine. It is a very nice town.
First we went from the airport to the main station and from there to the place called Paradeplatz. Here you can find two of the most famous banks: UBS and Credit Suisse.
In this building behind me you can find the well known Lind Sprüngli Café.
This is the Bahnhofstrasse leading to the Zurich lake. Can you see the swiss flag hanging in the middle of the road?
This is a nice church in the middle of town.

We walked to the lake and went on boat trip.

In Rapperswil we left the boat. There found this funny and huge shoe.

Then it was time to fly home. We had a last view to the planes at Zurich airport.

today we found a lot of conkers. See me collecting the conkers. Later we will use them for the autumn decoration.
On our way we saw this funny man. He is very famous in Hamburg. His name Hans Hummel. In former times men were carrying the water through the town. And one of them was Hans Hummel.
We went to the airport to do some planespotting.
But I prefer flying on my own

the weather is fine. So we decided to take walk in Mellingburg. It is situated in the northeast of Hamburg. It is hard to believe that Mellingburg is a part of Hamburg because it is so green.
First we found this old building. Very nice but it looks a little bit wobbly.
This was an old watermill.
Oh look. the autumn can be so nice!
This is the first lake we saw in Mellingburg.
These ducks are very nosy to see who we are.
We especially liked this lake, it is very idylic.
Look, we found a "Waldkindergarten". It is a special kind of kindergarden. The children only have the house as a base and they play in the forrest every day and learn o lot about the nature. I like this idea.
This was a nice afternoon out.

today the summer is back in town.
First we went to the Hamburg harbour.

Then we went to Övelgönne with its museum harbour.
This boat is an old ice breaker.

This is an old harbour ferry. Today it is a museum café.
I especially like this old sailing boat.

today was a foggy day. But nontheless we went to the harbour and took a ferry.
See me in front of a dry dock. As you can see there is a big ship in it for general overhaul. They are even building a big helicopter pad at the bag.
This is another ship we passed.
Our aim was the Kölbrandtbrücke. It leads over the river Elbe and is very important for the harbour. It is very imposing, isn't it!
This is the proof that we are in Hamburg. You can read "We are Hamburg" on the top of our ferry.

the weather was fantastic today: cold and very sunny. So we went to the Ohlsdorf park.

After a long walk we enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and a nice piece of fruit cake.....hmmm yummy!
As you can see Halloween is around the corner. We are awaiting it with this funny pumpkin.

this weekend we spent in a small village. We had a lot of fun.
First we inspected the fruit and vegetable storage for the winter.
I doubt that this onions are enough.
Can you see us between the apples?
These potatoes are just enough for the next week! But they are home grown.
In a garage we found this workbench.
They even have an oven for the winter month in the garage.
We found this funny chair in the garden.
Oh look, what a nice birdhouse.
This hedge is a gate - very nice.
In this house we lived during the weekend. It has a thatched roof and a big terrace.
Next we saw this old tractor. What do you think - are we allowed to drive with it?
We did not find the ignition key, so we only played with it.
Look. this tractor is even older.
This wood should be enough for a long winter.
We found a lot of old equipment.
Even the hens are curious what we are doing.
We finished our roundtrip with the old pump. It is still working.
In the late evening we went to Neustadt-Glewe to walk along the lake. But it was not possible to go to the bathing pier.

christmas is coming nearer. And took the opportunity to bake delicious cookies.

So many chocolate cookies! But something is still missing!
Now the are ready.
After baking we went into the city center for christmas shopping.

From the Alsterarkaden we saw the first christmas market on the town hall place.
Because it looked so nice, we took a short walk around the christmas market.

for a few days now there is a new underground line U 4 in Hamburg.
Today we wanted to try it out.
See me at Jungfernstieg station where the line starts.
The line goes to the new part of town called Hafencity (harbour city).
See me at the station "Hafencity/Universität". The line terminates here.
I like this station - the colors are changing every minute. Look, how funny!
On our way home we had a short stop at the christmas market.

today we went to the christmas market at the Jungfernstieg near the Alsterlake in the middle of town. It ist a very nice christmas market with white marquees and some boats.
See me in front of a boat. It is used by children to bake christmas cakes. Another boat offers a great service: you can bring your full shopping bags and collect it when you go home.
In the background you can see the christmas tree on the Alsterlake.
The boats are decorated with some fairy tales themes. This is the "Frog King".
They are selling some great sweets on the market like sugar roasted almonds..... hmm yummi
At this booth they have a lot of stars - a great christmas decoration.

today is a special day: we will decorate the christmas tree :-)
Yesterday Scilly and Richy a bought tree and it is our task to decorate it.

it is the saturday before Christmas eve and it is snowing in Hamburg. So we walked through Hamburg to enjoy the christmas feeling everywhere in town.
Look. this christmas tree is fabolous: it is snowing the whole time.
These trees and decorated shop windows we found on our way through the snowy streets of Hamburg.
At the airport people wanted to fly home to their families And also here we found christmas decorations.
Near Scillys home we saw this tree decorated with a lot of lights and presents. Beautiful!
Back at home a surprise was wainting for us: a small package.
my TV-brother Spencer and ThomasHH had arrived.
We are looking forward to christmas. I will celebrate with all my friends.

yesterday I have heard in the radio that we had only one hour of sunshine in Hamburg until now. And indeed it was cloudy or rainy every day.
But today the sun was shining a little bit. The perfect time for a walk.
First we crossed the river Alster.
On the other side of the bridge they are building a new lock with a fish ladder :-)
This is a prison - a place I never want to see from the inside. It is called Santa Fu and probably the most famous prison in Germany because many people escaped in the 70s and 80s. But no fear - I am a well behaved TV.
This is a very funny tower. First I thougt it is a lighthouse. But we are not by the sea. Hmmmmm.... we learned it is a radar tower for the nearby airport.
As we were near by we decided to visit the airport.
Look how many destinations the german airways Lufthansa flys to directly from Hamburg. Maybe some new ideas where I can travel to?
Back at home we had to say good bye to Alex. He will go to the USA. We all gave him a big hug.

after a mild beginning it is now freezing in Hamburg with a little bit of snow. We decided to take a walk and enjoy the ice and snow in the Alstertal (Alster valley).
Look at me skidding on the ice.
From a bridge we had a nice view of the Alster river.
Then it was time for a rest on this tree trunk.
We found this tree to play in.
Look, I found this nice spot to watch the river from.
Unbelievable! There are some mad people canoeing on the river.

Today a new TV arrived. His name is Alberto.
He showed us his welcome presents and we and we had a lot to chat about.
And we had a great surprise for Alberto: on wednesday we will fly to Malaga for a few days :-) A visit to his home country! So we studied the travel guide.

Hola from Andalucia!
Yesterday we flew from Hamburg to Mallorca and from Mallorca to Malaga - all in one morning! And now we are in Andalucia.
Today we had a rental car and drove to Ojen near Marbella. It is one of the white villages and really beautiful.
The weather is fantastic - so we decided to take sunbath.
Look, this is a steep path down the mountain. But we prefered to drive down.
Then we went to a small beach café by the sea. What a great life in January!
The Mediteranian sea, a beach and beach café - what could be better?
We had a great day! But now we are tired and are enjoying our hotel room. See me with my friends.

another sunny day on the costa del sol. Today we wanted to explore the harbour of Malaga.
But first we saw the main shopping street and the cathedral of Malaga.
On our way we saw this nice garden along the street.
This was our first view of the harbour with the lighthouse and a big sailing boat in the background.
I liked this water fountains on the newly renovated waterfront.
Oh look, this a high speed catamaran ferry to Tenerife.
How beautiful - an old seaman chapel and some orange trees.

Here you can see the lighthouse.
And because of the nice weather we visited the beach of Malaga.
When we came back to our hotel we explored the swimming pool on the top of our hotel. Life can be so wonderful!

This is the Malaga market hall.
The back entrance has very colourful glas!
Look we found the Picasso museum. Picasso, one the most famous painters of the world, was born in Malaga.
There is an old castle overlooking Malaga.

another sunny day on the Costa del Sol. But today is our last day in Malaga.
To enjoy the lovely sunshine we had a coffee in a café on the harbour promenade.
Then it was time to catch our flight back to Hamburg. See me on flight AB2587 from Malaga to Hamburg - sundown over spanish airspace!
Then like good TV's should we red the flight safety instructions.

it has been quiet a long time since the last update. But the weather has been very bad.
We have decided to see the town of Hamburg as soon as the sun comes out. For friday the weather forecast is great and Scilly and Richy have a weeks holiday. And we take lot of lovely photos next week.

the sun is back in Hamburg. And we decided to visit the harbour.
Look at me in front of the so called „Landungsbrücken“ where the harbour boat trips starts.
These are some typical boats for boat trips.
You also can use this kind of boat. It is build like a paddle steamer.
Behind me you can see the old fish market hall of Hamburg Altona. Nowadays there are a lot of events in this hall and every sunday the famous fish market.
We had the idea to take a ferry and enjoy the sun on the water.
Please see some of the Hamburg docks with ships in it .
What a nice view from Hamburg!
The white ship behind me ist he „Cap San Diego“ – a general cargo vessel in former times, now a museum ship. You also can see the „Elbphilarmonie“ – a concert all which should be ready in 2016

today we went on a trip to Sylt – an island in the north of Germany. It is famous for ist endless beach.
After a nice train ride we arrived on the island.
Look at the beautiful beach. We took a long walk .
Look here, the wavebreaker in the background makes a nice photo.
After the walk we were hungry and had a little lunch in the dunes.
On the way back we saw the town hall.
We had a nice day. Hope you all enjoy the pictures.

today we had sunshine - a good opportunity to visit the town center. See me in front of the town hall.
We could't see the mayor. But we had the possibility to go in to the entrance hall.
This is the courtyard of the town hall with this nice fountain. Look us playing with the fountain sculptures.
This canal is called the little Alster. It is situated between the town hall and the Alsterlake.
This was our first view from the Alster lake with some white Alster boats.
We decided to enjoy the sun with a cup of hot chocolate and a view over somes boats and the Alsterlake.
The Alsterlake is really beautiful. With these whites boats you can explore the town on the water.

it is still very cold in Germany. But today we had a lot of sunshine. So we decided to go to Bergedorf - a district of Hamburg.
Look, we found this nice half-timber church.
And it was a surprise to find this little castle with moat around it. I liked it very much.

this weekend we visited the historic town of Wernigerode in the Harz-region of Germany. This area has mountains of 1000 m.
I enjoyed the town very much especialy the market square.
See me with the town hall of Wernigerode.
This is the hotel we stayed in - called "Gothisches Haus".
These are two nice cafés also in half-timbered houses.
See me in front of the smallest house of Wernigerode. A familiy of eight lived in it. It has quiet the right size for Toyvoyagers
Later that day we drove up the mountain visit the train station Drei Annen Hohne. In the afternoon three steam trains meet at the same time.
See me with with the old steam engines and trains (called Harzer Schmalspurbahn).
I enjoyed our trip to Wernigerode.
And Scilly and Richy told me that we will fly to Madeira next weekend.

if the spring doesn't come to Hamburg, than we fly to the sun!
Today we flew to Madeira to spend our holiday on this beautiful island. Directly from the airport we went to the Market hall to buy some fruits for the weekend.

Then we went to our holiday apartement. Look what a wonderful view over Funchal. We even can see the harbour with the cruise ships.

we began this sunday with a nice breakfast. See me sitting on our breakfast table.
Then we started our tour through Funchal.

This is an old abbey. Nowadays it is used by the university of Madeira.
I like this tree.

today we went to the heart the heart of the island Madeira and visited the village Curral das Freiras in the valley of the nuns. In former times the nuns were hiding here from the enemies at sea (pirates). Even now it is very difficult to get here. But there are brave local bus drivers, which get here (I myself can confirm, that they are very brave and very good drivers). And today it was extra difficult due to the fog on the mountains (sights under 5 m).

Then it was time for coffee and cake. See me enjoying the break.
After the break we walked through the valley.
On wednesday we will visit the other side of the island (Porto Moniz) and I expect sunshine.

first on this morning we went to the market hall. It was early enough to visit the fish hall.
Then we went to Porto Moniz. This small village is the most north-westerly conurbation on the island. There are two natural rock pools. And with the sunshine we had a great day.

today we visited the Botanic Gardens of Funchal.
They are in the upper part of town. So we took the "Tereferico" (cable car) to get there.

The Botanic Garden was the weekend house of the Reids family in former time. Look at me in front of the nice house.

today is our last day on the beautiful island of Madeira. But before we fly home we had a last walk through the city of Funchal. We found this beautiful park in the middle of town.
Then we went to the airport. See me on the balcony watching the airplanes. See me in front of a TAP-plane.
Now we are back in Hamburg. But we brought some beautiful memories with us. Look at this beautiful flowers.

today the postman delivered a new toyvoyager guest. A duck called Patka.

this week Richy had to travel to Leamington Spa in Great Britain. My friends and I decided to attend Richy.
Leamington Spa is a nice small town near Birmingham.

This is the Queen Victoria monument in front of the town hall.
This street is called The Parade. It is the main shopping street.
I like this typical red letterbox.
Leamington Spa is situated by the river Lem.
Leamington Spa takes part in "Britain in bloom"-competition. See these beautiful flower arrangements. It is absolutely lovely.

today we visited Stratford upon Avon. It is a little town in the middle of England and famous for its son William Shakespeare!
In this half-timbered house Shakespeare was born in 1564.
As you know Shakespare was a famous writer. And even nowadays his plays are shown in many theaters. The most famous one is the Royal Shakespeare theater. It is the building on the other sider of the river.
Stratford is situated on the river Avon.
There are a lot of small boates, called barges. You can rent them to spend your holidays on the water.

We enjoyed the park on the river bank and watched the chain ferry.
Then we found this typical little pub and had a Gin and Tonic - lovely!

today the sun was shining and we decided to visit the Hamburg harbour.

This is one of the historic harbour buildings. Nowadays there are some restaurants and pubs in it.
Oh look, the "Kirchdorf" is one of the old harbour ferries.
See me standing in front of the "Rickmer Rickmers", an old sailing boat and today a museum ship.
In the background you can see the "San Diego", an old general cargo vessel and today also a museum ship, and the "Elbphilarmonie". The Elbphilarmonie will be an imposing building with a concert hall, a hotel and some flats, when it is ready.
On the other river side you can see the harbour docks with some ships in it.

what a wonderful day! We enjoyed the day on the water and on the beach.

By boat we went to Hamburg-Övelgönne. The first stop was Hamburg Altona with its fish auction hall.
Behind me you can see a typical old storage house. Nowadays there are flats in it.
On our way we saw a cruise ship - the AIDASOL.

We enjoyed the boat trip.
Övelgönne is a museum harbour with old boats.
Next to Övelgönne harbour we found this little beach. We enjoyed the sun and the harbour view.

Then we found a small café and had a drink and a snack with harbour view! Life can be so wonderful

this weekend we visited Scillys parents in a small village.
We got up very early. We had fog and I liked the atmosphere.
In the afternoon the sun was shining and we explored the farmyard and the garden. Look, what a nice birdhouse
The house has a thatched roof and a very nice terrace.
We found this old tractor.
So many firewood - they are prepared for the next winter! Do you spot me?
In the pond we saw some goldfishes and coi carps.
There are still some colorful flowers in the garden.
And we picked the last raspberries of the year.....yummy!
In front of the house we found this old pump.
Now we searched a sunny place and enjoyed the day.

today we took a long walk in the Lewitz. It is a big area in Mecklenburg which is full of canals, small lakes and grass fields.
We enjoyed the sunshine.
We found a field full of cows. Look, they are very curious. I think they never saw Toyvoyagers before

today is reunification bankholiday. And as the weather is fine we took a trip to Zollenspieker Fährhaus. It is situated by the river Elbe in the south of Hamburg. It is a meeting point for many bikers. See me in front of the motorbikes.
Fährhaus means ferry house. And so the ferry connect Zollenspiek on the Hamburg side and Hopte on the Lower Saxony side.
In front of this sign we have to wait for the next ferry.
We enjoyed the crossing.
Back on the Hamburg side we watched the boats go by.
Some people enjoyed the sun on the small beach.
In the background you can see a Biergarten.
Then it was time for coffee and cake. Yummy......

autumn is a nice season in Hamburg. The trees are very colorful and there is a special light in the sunshine.
Today we took a walk through a park in Hamburg Ohlsdorf.
This is a wonderful place, isn't it!
We loved playing in the leaves.
We found this well.
This parkbench was a good place for a rest.
Back at home we enjoyed these apple toffee cupcakes.....yummy.....

what a exciting day!!!!
We took a trip to Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. We had to get up in the morning very early. And so we had a whole day in Stockholm
First we visited the market hall of Östermalm with its many delicatessen stalls.

Stockholm has a lot of lakes and canals and we saw many old boats.
This is the swedish Parliament building.
Behind me you can see the royal palace. It is a very imposing building.
This bridge connects the main town with the old part of Gamla Stan.
In Gamla Stan we found a lot of old building and some narrow lanes.
See me in front of the old bourse building. Nowadays it is home of the Nobel museum.
This is the view of one of the main shopping street - Kungsgatan.
We had a great day in Stockholm and maybe I will be back one day! There is lot more to see!

November was a busy month. But now we are in Cornwall an enjoying the seaside, beaches and cliffs.
We are living in a place called St Ives.
And even though it is November the weather is great and we are having a lot of sunshine.
This is Porthmeor Beach, one of the five bays of St Ives.
This place behind me is called "The Island".

Then we saw this "coastal watch" house.
I enjoyed the view from the Island.

I especially liked the changing cabins with its colourful doors.

I can't believe. It is november and we have such a lot of sunshine. We've seen people with short trousers and Flip Flops today
First we visited Bamaluz beach. It is only a very small one. See me in front of the beach.
Bamaluz is situated near the harbour. There are some big houses overlooking the beach.
Then we went to the harbour. It is really lovely. There is a small beach at the harbour too. And in low tide you can walk between the boats.

At the end of our walk we enjoyed a cup of coffee on the harbour front overlooking the harbour.

another sunny day in Cornwall! So we decided to explore the boats in the harbour at low tide.
First we enjoyed the sun sitting on a boat.
Now I want to show you all the boats in the harbour.
I like theses houses on the harbour front.
On our way home we enjoyed the sundown at Porthmeor beach.
Tomorrow we will have a walk on the coastal path.

today we visited Lands End, the most westerly point of the mainland Great Britain.
Please see Longships Lighthouse behind me.
See me and my friends looking for all the shipwrecks along the coastline. It is really dangerous.
As proof that I was in Lands End see me in front of the Lands End sign.
This is a view along the coast. The white house is the "last and first house".
Here I am standing in front of the first and last house.
What a beautiful coastline!
We walked on the coastal path from Lands End to Sennen Cove.
We found some funny stones.
How exciting! We saw a shipwreck in the cliffs. It was a german ship, the RMS Mühlheim. It was wrecked on 22 March 2003.

There is a small and lovely harbour in Sennen Cove.
We enjoyed an amazing sundown in the evening. See all the cliffs coloured in red.

today we took a trip to the little harbour village of St Mawes on the south coast of Cornwall.
On our way we stopped at Truro with its famous cathedral.
We continued our trip with a mini bus towards St Mawes. See me standing in front of the little harbour.
We found this historic petrol station.
There is only a very small beach at St Mawes.

today it is the day before christmas and we had a long walk in town. First we visited the Christmas market on the town hall square.
This christmas tree is formed of lights only.
Even these lake steamers have been decorated for christmas.
On our way through the city we saw a lot of christmas lights. The streets and houses are decorated.
Look, they even have a big wheel at the christmas market.
Look, this is amazing: a christmas tree that produces its own snow. I love it!

In march we spend two weeks in St Ives. The town welcomed us with a lot of sunshine.

This is Bamaluz beach.
On this day we had an extremely low tide. No water around the harbour wall.

today we visited Polperro. Polperro is a small village and fishing harbour on the south coast of Cornwall. Tourists do love this village and in the summer months it is overcrowded. But now in march it is a very quiet place and we enjoyed our visit.
First we took a look on this map.

There are a lot of old fishermen's houses.
We enjoyed the sun on the pier.
In former times smuggling has been prospering. Nowadays the "Museum of Smuggling & Fishing" shows the history of smuggling. Please sea me in front of the museum.

This year we spent our summer holidays in the north of Scotland, one week on the Shetland island and one week on the Orkneys.
Today we explored the western part of Mainland, the biggest island of Shetland. The landscape is very impressive with some fjords. We found some great views on our way.
I saw my first Shetland Ponys. They are so cute!
In Melby we found this little harbour.
On our way back we visited Clickimin Broch. It was built nearly 2.000 years ago. People lived here for some hundred years.
Because Shetland belongs to Scotland I have completed one of my life mission: "Wants to see Scotland again".
