Hello there everyone!  B)

Today my mom brought me to work!
She said to her colleagues it was "bring your piglet to work day" today, some even laughed, thats kinda rude!
But she showed me the workfloor, and what she does there, and i got to meet friendly colleagues, have some food in the kantina, and just be in my moms pocket all day, it was super!
I was here almost the whole day, except for when she showed me off to colleagues and stuff.
A very friendly girl took this picture of us.
More family foto's! ;)
Im sitting in a crate, thats where they put the stuff the shops has ordered.
You can see the label for the shop on the front, where its going to, and they have a computer that tells them what to put in there.
It looked kinda boooooring, i was happy to be able to get some sleep in the pocket aswell!
The workfloor!
I went totally nuts when i saw all the pink stuff they got there, its like, so much! :D
Swimming in PINK!
My mums friendly, but a little crazy, colleague, she was the one taking the picture of us together.
We told her all about ToyVyagers, and she liked the idea, thought it was super cute, maybe she will join one day? :)
Eating soup in the kantina, it was delicious!

It was a very nice day, and this weekend we will spend alot of time together aswell, because we are going away for a weekend!
No sign of MrCoolHH yet, im really hoping he will be here before the weekend, then i have someone to bring with me aswell!
My mum is going with her boyfriend, and another couple, so it would be fun to have someone to play with!

Take care!

Friday we went to Wateren, thats in Drenthe in The Netherlands.
It was time for relaxing, be with friends, and have fun!
This is Christel, a good friend of my mother, we were in the car on our way to a near by restaurant.
They really had good food there, and it was really nice!
Saturday was Dennis' birthday, so we left the luxury house to go to the local village for some shopping.
While we were looking around, we saw theese awsome socks! :D
Mum is Norwegian, and had me pose between them, it was awquard, but was done quickly
It was fun to se Norwegian flags, alltho, we still have no idea WHY they were Norwegian, maybe because of the poor print on them, that was supposed to look like the Norwegian sweater print, we dunno...
Anyway, this is what we got, didnt need much, as we brought most of the food and candy and all ourselves!
She just HAD to have those socks...  :p
In the car again, on out way back to the luxury house, last drive untill we left for home, it was a really nice house!
This one explains itself, now doesent it?
Me in the fake flower on the table, with the house key ;)
Making dinner, saturday evening!
Im doing my best to help out ofcourse...
Reading how to make the...uh...hmm... i'll just go watch some tv, call me when dinner is done!!!
Taking a nap after a very long day!
Sunday morning and afternoon it was just relaxing infront of the tv, eat good food, and do some sauna! :D
Here im cheering for the Norwegians, ofcourse!
Our very own private sauna :D
It was HOT i tell you, HOT! :o
Freek was being mean to me while we were cleaning up the house, told mum he had found something that sure needed to be cleaned up!
He didnt drop me in tho ;)

It was a great weekend, had lots of fun, did very little, and i really enjoyed myself!
Too bad MrCoolHH didnt show up in time, we would have had a blast, im sure!!! :D
Maybe he will be here for 4-7th December, them we are going away again! hihi :D
And mum's birthday is on the 7th December, and then we all can celebrate!
If im not already on my way to Germany ;)

Hi Mum,

I am so happy – yesterday I arrived in Germany!!! There was a nice bunny
called Dicker Kumpel. He gave me a warm welcome.

We found out that he knows MrCoolHH. The world is so small. Then he
introduced me to some other ToyVoyagers.

We talked a lot – they had a nice Christmas here. I am  a little sad,
because I celebrated it in the mail. But I will celebrate New Year's Eve here.

Today RikeH and Dicker Kumpel invited me to come to Hamburg,
so I could see the Christmas Market. Here you see some of the photos.
It was very nice.

A really big tree!

This was inside the main train station.

We drove home with this train.

Dicker Kumpel and I talked a lot – and looked out of the window,
but it was very dark outside.
Back home Dicker Kumpel told me about a big surprise.

Can you imagine it, Mum. The Santa Bunny came to me.
He was on the way back to the North Pole, and Dicker Kumpel told
him about my time in the mail over Christmas. Santa Bunny decided
to stop here.

After telling a Christmas Poem I got a gift.

What a wonderful day!

Hi Mum,

It is New Year's Eve – and we will celebrate it. Here are the gifts for our host for this evening.

The clothes for the bottle were so funny – I tried it out,

We had something delicious to eat. It was called Chesse-Fondue.

Later we had a great dessert, too. A kind of Tiramisu.

We played an interesting game – and I won it!

When we came close to midnight, we had a glass of Champagne and something delicious called 'Berliner'.

After it we went out onto the balcony and watched the fireworks.

Look at this beautiful hat - what a wonderful color!

Mum, I wish you a Happy Year 2010.

Hi Mum,

Landroval arrived in Germany. Dicker Kumpel  gave him a warm welcome.

Then he introduced him to us – we will go on a holiday together next week.

We talked a lot – and Landroval told us a lot about Canada. Then he showed us his foot.

We all loved the nice Tattoo on it.

Then we all showed our feet – I think that mine is the nicest, although I have no Tattoo on it.

After it I explored the Christmas Tree - and look, what I found. The color is so wonderful!

Hi Mum,

We have winter here in Germany now. I wanted to explore Sόlfeld in the snow. This is the old school.

The church is so beautiful – and the pharmacy is on the other side of the street.

I had a great idea – I should build a snowman. It was hard work for a little ToyVoyager like me.

But look, he is great, isn’t he?

Snowy greetings

Posted Jan 18, 2010, 5:15 pm
Hi Mum,

today we started our trip.  It was very  early in the morning – and snowy. Look – what I saw. Not much,

We went from Hamburg to Frankfurt with a fast train called ICE-Train. It has nothing to do with the weather in Germany at the moment.

Here you see all of us together.

We all got something to eat :

Here you see what I got. Funny pigs - this was so funny!

When we arrived at the airport we were too early for the check-in. So we waited and watched the queue for the Emirates Flight.

We needed another airline, but I will tell you later, where we went. SURPRISE!!!

When we waited to board the plane, we went to a place where we were able to see the planes.

Look – there is our plane coming.

I had a place at the window – it was a wonderful view!

I had a delicious dinner – fresh fish with rice and vegetables.

It went dark outside – the sky was so beautiful!

I can tell you that we had a safe landing and stay in a nice hotel. But I won't tell you now, where I am.

Hi Mum,

on this photo you can see, where I spend this holiday – in Jordan.

We started in Amman and went through the city. They write with nice letters here.

We went to Umm Qeis, to the Ruins of the old town Gadara. First we saw the Amphitheatre.

Here we were:

I had a great view from my place.

Then we went to another place – there was a Basilica in the past.

From this place I could see Israel and Syria. I saw the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights.  Really interesting.

On the tour to the next place I saw a supermarket – I love the letters here!

The next historical place was called Pella.

This was a marble column – I loved the color.

We drove to a very interesting place – called the Dead Sea.  It is 422 m below the sea level – this was strange.

The humans behaved really strange there – they put something black on their skins, waited ten minutes, and then went into the water. I didn't understand it.

After the long time inside the bus I decided to take a rest and I enjoyed the sun on the beach.

Later we had a picnic with delicious Hamburgers on the beach.

What a great first day in Jordan.

Hi Mum,

Today was a great day for Jordan. Not only that I visited the country, but it was raining.

They don't have many rain here, so we were happy for the Jordan People and decided to visit a Museum of Archeology.

Here you can see some intersting things.

This was the view from the entrance of the Museum – the Temple of Hercules behind me.

We went to the big Amphittheater of Amman – I love these old buildings.

Next to it was another nice museum. We saw there, how the people in Jordan lived in the past.

We went through Amman and the souk. Here I was in front of a Mosque.

They sold delicious fruits and vegetables in the Souk.

We went to another great place – called Jerash. It is a very big old city – wonderful. We walked around there for 2 hours.

First a Gate...

...the big oval place..

...the Nympheum...

...more buildings...

...a pig in the stone...

and the oval place from a hill.

A really great place to visit – and the rain stopped, when we were there.

Back home in the hotel we all drank soft drinks. We were not able to read, what it was, but it was jummy.

After it I shared my sweets with the others – funny pig-sweets.

Another really great day here. It is so nice to be a ToyVoyager!!!

Hi Mum,

today we left Amman and drove south. First we visited the Mount Nebo, a mountain where – according to the Bible, the prophet Moses is believed to have died. We had a great view from the top.

There was a beautiful mosaic – normally in a church – but now in a tent.

Look – what a big stone – in memorial of Moses.

After having a great time on the hill – with really beautiful views, we drove to Madaba. The city is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, expecially a large Byzantine-era mosaic map of the Holy Land.

We went into the Greek Orthodox Basilica of Saint Georg, where the famous mosaic is.

Then we drove through a gorgeous landscape.

We stopped to look into the Wadi Mujib.

One hour later we came to Kerak, known for its famous Crusader Castle.

We visited it – it was wonderful – I would love to be a knight, I think.

In the evening we sat outside the room in the hotel and talked a lot. This time we ate the Snickers from Landroval.

Hi Mum,

Today we visited one of the most famous places in Jordan, it is a city called Petra – a Unesco World Heritage Site.

First we had to walk through the Siq – a dark narrow gorge.

At the end of the Siq we had this view of Al Khazneh (the Treasury).

Here I am in front of the Treasury.

Here you see many tombs in the stone.

They had an amphitheatre, too.

We climbed up 200 stairs to visit the big Urn Tomb – and had a great view from the place.

There were donkeys here.

We went into an old church and saw some mosaics. I found a pig. We were very important in the older times, I think.

We decided to make a long walk – about 800 stairs!!! But I was happy – RikeH put me in her bag, so I didn’t have to walk all the way on my short legs. Some photos from the way.

A really steep gorge:

This is the place we wanted to see – El Deir (the Monastery). It was great!

On our way back we had nice views, too.

Back in the valley the sun came – and we saw all in different colors.

This was our hotel:

We had a delicious dinner in the evening – very important after the long interesting day!

Hello Mum,

we had so much fun today. We made a trip with a Jeep through the Wadi Rum. We learnt that they made the Movie Lawrence from Arabia here. I never heart of it before. But the nature was nice.

On our way to the Wadi Rum, we stopped at a nice place and saw the Valley of Petra. It was wonderful.

Look – what a funny tree. If someone knows its name, please send a PM to RikeH.

Here you can see us on our Jeep.

We drove really fast and enjoyed the nature around. There was another Jeep behind us, but we were in the leading team.

Our first stop – nice mountains and writing on the walls.

The second stop - with a beautiful gorge.

We stopped in front of a big Dune. We walked onto the top of it – and had a great view.

What a wonderful day !

Hello Mum,

Today is the last day in Jordan. We will relax in the hotel. Here you see me sitting on the balcony – and the view from our balcony. Wonderful!

We went through the garden and found beautiful flowers.

Outside we saw these nice young dogs.

Back in the hotel we wanted to drive on this funny bike, but we are not allowed, because we TVs were too young.

So we decided to relax and enjoy the last evening.

What a wonderful holiday in Jordan.

Hello Mum,

a new guest arrived two days ago. She is called Agatha and came from Canada.

We talked a lot – and she showed a viewcard from her country.

Today we decided to drive to a nice small town. It is called Bad Oldesloe.
RikeH went to school there – many many years ago.

They have a nice river there. I liked it – and saw some funny ducks in the water and on the ice.

This is the townhall. It was not so easy to take this photo, because the ground was very icy.

Another nice place in Bad Oldesloe.

Hello Mum,

Today it was time to say good-bye to Dicker Kumpel. We spent such a great time together.

Then I got a hug from the others.

Until soon.

Yours Nasse

I have arrived in Canada!  Bally and Cassiopeia were there to meet me and we told each other about our travels.

Posted Mar 26, 2010, 6:23 am
Life has not been very exciting here in the Abby household.  Seriously, all we do is study.

Memorizing bones...

Reading about sediments and stratigraphy...

And learning about the finer aspects of Canada's immigration policies.

I have, however, been helping to make delicious baked goods to eat while studying.  Usually everyone gets a little carried away before someone realizes that nobody has been taking any pictures, but I do have photographic evidence of one baking adventure.

In this case, we were baking flourless chocolate cupcakes for a few of Abby's friends (plus a few on the side for the family and ToyVoyagers to eat, of course).  A couple of Abby's friends cannot have gluten, so we made sure that we cleaned everything thoroughly first.

Then, I melted chocolate and butter together.

As they were melting, I mixed together cocoa powder, sugar and eggs.

The butter and chocolate mixture is looking good...

Time to add it to the mix.

These are all ready to go into the oven.

Et voila!  Yum!

Posted Apr 4, 2010, 2:04 am
Cassiopeia and I helped Abby and Erin make pudding eggs, an Easter tradition.  We made pistachio and lemon.

Mix together instant pudding, boiling water and butter.

Then, add powdered sugar until you can form it into balls.

I helped Erin finish up the lemon.

Then you roll the mixture into little balls and refrigerate on a cookie sheet.

when they are chilled, melt some chocolate to dip the pudding eggs in.  We dipped the pistachio ones in milk chocolate.

Then do the same for the others.  We dipped the lemon ones in white chocolate.  Make sure to  refrigerate them again!

The finished product!

Posted Apr 5, 2010, 2:24 am

Well, the Easter Bunny was here, and I am on a mission to find chocolate eggs!

Here is one on the branch of a pear tree!

This one is cleverly hidden in the strawberry pot.

Hey Bear, do you know where I can find a chocolate egg?

Maybe the bees know.

I found another one amongst the rhubarb!

Cassiopeia found some as well!  Look at all of them!

Hope your Easter was as good as mine!

Posted Apr 20, 2010, 2:00 am
Cassiopeia is on her way to her next host, so we shared some homemade monster cookies before she left.

Posted Apr 20, 2010, 2:03 am
I went to Vancouver to see some of the sights.

This is Waterfront Station, which is a huge transit exchange.  Here you can catch a commuter train, a SkyTrain, a SeaBus and buses.

This is the Gastown Steam Clock, which is a huge tourist attraction.  It is entirely steam powered and was the first of its kind.

This is Victory Square, Vancouver's war memorial.

This colourful building has an interesting story.  The architect who designed it killed himself before the building was completed, and they say that his ghost haunts the central starcase.  Also, almost all of the windows are the same size, and apparently the view of the city from the mens' washroom on the top floor is amazing.

The 'W' you can see is part of the new Woodwards building.  Originally it was a department store called Woodwards, but it went bankrupt in 1993.  It just opened a few months ago and now it is a satellite campus of Abby's school. Starting in the fall it will house the fine arts department.  It also has a grocery and drug store, art galleries and affordable housing.

Posted Apr 20, 2010, 2:03 am
Next I went to Chinatown.  This is called the Millenium Gate, or the Gate of Thousands' Happiness.

Two lions guard the gate.  Originally they each held a round stone ball in their mouths as a sign of prosperity, but they have been stolen.

This building holds the world record for the narrowest building in the world.  It was built by a man known to Vancouverites as Sam Kee.  At one point he owned more land in the area, but the city demolished his building to widen the road, leaving him with a strip of land just under five feet in width.  Rather than sell what remained of his property for practically nothing, Sam had another building built, one that fit into the strip of land.  For years the building belonged to a silk merchant, but now it's leased by an insurance company.

This bell, called the West Han Dynasty Bell, is in Chinatown to commemorate Chinese history in Vancouver and marks the first Chinese settlement in the area.  It was a gift from Vancouver's sister city, Guangzhou in China, and it was modelled after a bell found in Guangzhou.

This is the Dr Sun Yat Sen garden.

You can usually find all sorts of animals in the garden.  Here are some large fish.

I played in the bamboo for a while before we went home.

Posted Apr 23, 2010, 6:43 pm
It is a nice day out, so I decided to look at the flowers in Abby's garden.

My main mission was to look for flowers that are pink.

I climbed the maple tree.

These lilacs smelled wonderful.

This is my favourite picture of them all.

Posted Apr 30, 2010, 3:38 am
I went to the Whonnock Rhododendron Sale.

I was hoping that we would buy some pink ones, but Abby said that they already have a lot of pink.  It was a little crazy in there and the good ones were going fast, so I only got pictures of the ones we bought.

In the building nearby they had different types of rhododendrons on display.

The pink ones were my favourite, of course.

It is amazing how different these flowers can be.  I found ones that were very small...

And ones bigger than my head!

Posted Apr 30, 2010, 3:39 am
It was a beautiful day, so I went to have a look at one of the local dams.  Hydroelectricity is very big in British Columbia and they even sell power to the United States.

Stave Lake is above the dam.

There was all of this rock nearby.  I thought it looked interesting.

This is the back of the old Stave Falls Powerhouse.  It is now a museum, and you can just see the new powerhouse in the top left corner.

The valley beyond is quite pretty.  Can you see the boat on Hayward Lake?

This display is the top part of a huge transformer tower.  Can you see me in this picture?  That's how big it is.  (I am in the big x-shape that is toward the middle of the photo).  When complete, these structures are 27 metres tall.

Posted Apr 30, 2010, 3:40 am
Did you know that BC has its own Westminster Abbey?  It is nowhere near as grand as the one in England, but it is on top of a hill overlooking a valley and has a very interesting looking tower.

This is the church portion and the tower.

This is the seminary.

Posted May 1, 2010, 5:57 am
Granville Island is a downtown hot spot for local artists, and a very nice place to visit (It is also not a real island, but shhh!)

Grnaville Island overlooks False Creek (it is an inlet).  In the distance you can see the Burrard St Bridge, which is in the art deco style.

the most popular place to visit is the market.

It is full of places to eat, local foods, crafts, cheeses, candy, flowers and many more things.

We stopped for lunch and I decided on Indian food.

Posted May 11, 2010, 3:06 am
Harrison is a very pretty town in the Fraser Valley and it is on the shores of Harrison Lake.

Harrison is known for its hot springs.  I was not there to use the springs, but I was interested in where the springs originate.  To find it we had to walk around one side of the lake.

There was a new trail, but we decided to take the old one, because it looked more interesting.

Can you see those boards nailed to the tree?  Powerlines once ran along the trail.

This is the view into the forest.  It is very West Coast.

I saw this old water tower...

And went to have a closer look.  You can't really tell in the photo, but it was leaking hot water and there was steam coming out of the top.

There were many large rocks lying around and some of them are so old that the trees have grown around them!

Finally we came to the source.  There used to be a bath house here, but it burned down.

This is the view from here.

The water inside the monument.

This pool was next to the monument and it was full of warm water.  Can you see the steam?

Afterwards, I stopped for gelato.

Abby's car is very dirty, so we decided to help her clean it.

I got the water ready.

Um, I think these mitts are too big...

On second thought, this looks like a big job.  We'll just...supervise...

Hi MOM!!

I already arrived Bangkok, Thailand  :D. The weather here is very hot. Prim just introduced me to some for her toys, hope that we can be good friends during my visit here.

Then, I met Prim's son - Muk - 15 years old dog. It's almost midnight, so he is sleeping. Actually Prim said he always sleeps and eats  B)

Now it's time to go to bed. Here is my bed...not bad :D

Prim said I can go to her office tomorrow but not sure if she will have time to show me around since she is very busy right now.

Good night mom...I think I have jet lag

Posted May 27, 2010, 5:56 pm
Hi Mom,

Today I went to office with Prim. Before we left, we said good bye to Muk.

There are a lot of plants in the house  :) Prim's grandma is taking care of them. I think I will walk around the house later.

It's almost 11am, but the traffic was still bad. When a car stopped, I had a chance to take some photos.

Prim was very busy at the office. She put me on a chair, so I can watch she worked.

Her desk was very messy >,<

Here is a view from 22nd floor  B)

WOW!! I saw myself and others Winnie the Pooh. I'm famous here.

It's time to go home.

Halooo mummie~~

Today is Visakhapuja Day. People always go to temples but not Prim. Prim needed to pick her friend at the hospital, so we left home early.

Visakhapuja Day is one of the most important days in Buddhism because of three important incidents in the life of The Buddha, i.e. the birth, the enlightenment and the passing away, miraculously fall on the same month and date. This day reminds Buddhists the important of Lord Buddha's teachings, both spiritually and socially.
Visakhapuja Day is recognized by the UNESCO in December 1999 as "World Heritage Day".

We drove thru small tunnels. The traffic was good today because it's holiday morning.

Behind me is a BTS Sky Train. Prim tells me she will take me there someday  B)

Here is a hospital. Prim's friend was in operating theatre.

I took a nap while waiting.

We took the express way going back.

In the afternoon, we went to a Thai restaurant.

The menu is so big!!

I was not hungry, so I just played outside.

Tomorrow, we may go shopping...hopefully

Take care,

Hi Mom,

Today Prim took me and Flat Stanley to have some photos, but when Prim turned on a camera, we realized that she forgot to insert a memory card :o ... but luckily, we still have a phone camera B)

We went to Starbucks Coffee.

The weather was very hot so I ordered Strawberries & Cream Frappuccino. It's great!!

Then, we went to supermarket. Look mom!!!! A lot of durians!!!

I also needed some fruit juices.

Before we went home, Prim took me to pay respect to Buddha image in our village.

Feeling Thai now :)

In the evening, we had a spicy pork noodle. Look at the's very spicy but yummy~~

Miss you mom,

Hi mom,

Late night, Prim's big mama bought her something....he's funny face friend named...MuKu (Prim said it's from her dog's name - Muk). We took a picture together. Prim told me she will bring MuKu with me when going out, I'm so happy because I'm not alone anymore :D

Behind me is the scene coming from MuKu's box.

Prim is trying to practice her photoshop, so she asked us to be models.

This evening, Prim took me and MuKu to a Vietnamese restaurant.

Vietnamese BBQ Pork looked very nice.

Fried Shrimp with Sugar Cane was so delicious B)

There is a cow image in front of the restaurant. Prim told me this restaurant pays respect to a cow but she doesn't know why :o

I'm so full, mommy. Really miss you :D

Hi Mom,

Today Prim's big Mama was going back to CA, USA so they took me to Suvarnabhumi Airport B)

Suvarnabhumi Airport (meaning Golden Land), also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport, is an international airport serving Bangkok.

I was waiting while Big Mama checked in at Eva Air Counter.

Muku was also with me. We run to check the departure time at a board.

Muku asked me about my prior trips, so I told him about my last awesome trip in Canada.

We found many Suvarnabhumi's Giants...maybe about eight, I took photos with some of them.

Then, I saw the post office...I was thinking to write a postcard to you, mummy but I forgot to bring your address :stare:

On the way walking back to a car, we saw a small garden.

Before going home, we dropped at McDonald's and played with Ronald McDonald.

Hi Mom,

Today Prim had a early meeting so I stayed at home. After work, Prim bought me a club sandwich from Au Pon Pain.

While I was eating, I noticed something was staring at me. It's Devil Muk 555. He wanted to join our meal.

Then we slept all day B)

Hi mom,

Today we woke up around 10am...very late. Knock..knock :D a parcel came.

What are they??

They are Smurfs!!! Prim told me she used to have a lot when she was a kid but then she gave them to someone else. Now she realizes how cute they are so she decides to collect them again but it must costs a lot of money

Then another parcel came. is Baby Lican B)

Baba Lican was born in Hong Kong. He told me a little bit about his last trip in Brazil. We ate chocolate that his last host gave him.

I took a nap and dreamed about our journey this weekend. :)

Miss you,

Hi Mom,

Today we went to Pantip Plaza Mall. Prim was going to find some figures but she couldn't find so she took me to play a toy catcher B) but I couldn't catch them :(

And also played a racing game.

We were so hungry, then we went to Japanese restaurant (again???). It's the same restaurant that we ordered delivery service yesterday!!

It's Tempura with rice. The taste was not so good.

Prim bought waffle back home. 1..for me, 2..for Baby Lican, 3..for Prim, and 4 for grandma :D

Umm, better than Japanese food :p

Hello Mommy,

We also tried Neatea Frappe in Thai style. It may look simple but the taste was okay.

At home, I and Baby Lican watched a cartoon in our special seat B)

Take care,

It was quite early so we could have a seat.

This is a view from Wongwian Yai BTS Station.

Our destination was a famous shopping mall - Siam Paragon. We had lunch with Prim's friend in fish&chip restaurant.

Prawn curry looked so nice :p

Here, they already prepared for World Cup.

Then, we went to National Stadium and took a picture with a big Zakumi - World Cup 2010 Mascot...very cool!!! By the way, Behind Zakumi is King Bhumibol Adulyadej picture. We can see his pictures everywhere in Thailand.

It's so fun today. Very tired...will go to bed soon.

This is our car~~

On the way back to Prim's office, we drove pass the Democracy Monument.

We played a little bit while Prim was working.

Today we went to "Ancient City" (in Thai called Muang Boran) B)

Taking up 320 acres of land, roughly in the shape of Thailand, the huge park reproduces -- usually on a smaller scale -- important buildings from around Thailand. There are over 100 monuments collected or reproduced. Some of them are reconstructions of buildings that no longer exist. Other buildings are examples of traditional vernacular architecture that were scheduled to be demolished and instead were purchased by the Ancient City, dismantled and reconstructed in the park.

The City Wall and Gate

Ancient City is very large so we used a tram to look around.

Sanphet Prasat Palace, Ayutthaya: the principle palace in the early Ayutthaya period

A view from Sanphet Prasat Palace

The Chom Thong Palace Hall, Ayutthaya: one of the palace halls that lies within the grounds of Wat Phra Si Sanphet

Dusit Maha Prasat Palace (The Grand Palace): an audience hall, where affairs of the state were conducted and royal ceremonies performed

The weather was so hot, let's relax for a while :p

This is the actual place where the owner of Ancient City lived.

Then we came to shopping at the Old Market Town.

This is a barber shop in very old fashion.

I would like to try but I have no hair  :p

These are Thai musical instruments

It looked like I can see Thailand in the past within a day  :D

It's cool  B)

Thai style, they live near the river.

We needed some relax after walking all day.

Before we went back, we did not forget to you a postcard  :D

Hi mom,

Today we went to Prim's High School for jogging. She told me she graduated from here 12 years ago!! There are so much changes but Buddha image at school still remains the same as the old day.

Beautiful lotus  :D

There are also sculptures of main characters in a Thai famous literature - Phra Abhai Mani. This literature was wrote around 190 years ago. It's a kind of love and fantasy story.

These are Phra Abhai Mani and the Mermaid (one of his wife)

It is the Sea Giantess who is also his wife

I found a website which translated the story into English briefly. You can take a look, if interested  :D

Phra Aphai Mani

Then, we went to a temple next to the school. I saw a very big pig!!

His smell was terrible~~ :o

Really miss you,

Hi mum ! I came to Finland today.
My host had almost forgotten me!

But when the package opened and she saw me ...

... she remembered me right away!

My host have a wonderful dog, it is a Chinese Crested dog named Pluto.

Pluto was a little embarrassed of me and left shortly after taking the picture away from me.

My host says I have entered just brilliant time! We are leaving tomorrow morning at the earliest Finnish capital city Helsinki.
We are told that time to look at buildings and landscapes.
We are going to the big fairs, interior design, called the Habitare.

Posted Sep 2, 2010, 6:41 pm
Hey Mom, today we were at the fair!
We woke up early in the morning and went by bus to Helsinki.
I slept the whole bus ride.
I drink my  host  friend cocoa at the fair.

After cocoa I went to the dentist's office.
It was a new design.I think that I was first one in that chair.

There was a lot of new Desing furniture.
My host gave me to try them out.

Eight-hour, then began exhausted by!

It was my day in interior design at the fair!
And now I'm here to host visiting and writing to you.

Lets see what the days will bring.
