Hello everyone!

Today I woke up after rest a lot - last night I went to bed a little bit late, but my menthor Lilian said this time was ok, after all we were on Holidays!
Lilian said me that is time to leave. Well, I'm happy, I was waiting for this moment, but I'm also a little bit sad, 'cause I'll miss Lilian, Poppy and Milady and Pricky - Lilian's pets - soooo much!
But well, I had a big hug from Lilian and from Poppy, and get my stuff to get ready to go. My 'ticket' is for tomorrow morning. I hope to have a nice trip and reach Kay safe and sound.
WAIT ON ME KAY! I'M GOING!

Love, Puppy.  ;)

I finally made it to the USA!!  :D

Boy is it cold!! (She says the temperature is -15*C before a windchill!) We'll be going out and seeing sights when it warms up a bit.

:cyclops:

I got to see snow!! This is a mound of snow from when they plowed in the month of December.

This is a picture of me with another traveler ... his name is Zeke! He's telling me about his adventures that he's been on!

Will write more later!

I got to see another state today!  :D
Though it doesn't look that different from Wisconsin... :stare:

We went out to lunch for my host's birthday in a city where her sister works. (Pronounced Win-ona).
The bluff pointing out is called "Sugar Loaf" (though she doesn't know why) but it's it a landmark here.
There was a grand piano sitting in the lobby of where her sister's office was so we played a little.

She pulled on the side of the interstate (shhh! it's illegal to do this) to get this picture of the ice coming off the bluff!  :)

I also got to meet another new friend all the way from Greece! This is her first adventure so we got talking how exciting this is!!

More later!  :D

We went out despite the chilly temperature today (single digits above 0*F). I found out what the are she lives in is called and posed for a picture in a pretty setting of a coulee.

What the sign says:
“The Coulee Region”
Coulee is a term derived from the French verb “couler” meaning to flow. The area before you and the entire coulee region of west central Wisconsin has been dissected by water erosion into a series of narrow ridges separated by steep-sided valleys called coulees. Fertile soils are farmed on the bottom and sides of coulees. The narrow ridges, often protected by woodlands, are capped by erosion resistant dolomite bedrock which commonly overlies sandstone. During formation of the coulees, erosion cut through the dolomite and removed the underlying weaker sandstone thereby creating the valleys. To the north and south of this marker you can view several coulees and intervening ridges and note that State Highway 33 is situated on one of the dolomite-capped ridges. The Wisconsin novelist Hamlin Garland, was a native of this area and wrote about pioneer life in the coulee region.

Then a picture of me playing in the snow!  :p

I got to see all over the city from up here! Plus you can see Iowa (just land) and Minnesota (right across the Mississippi River, which she's going to show me on another trip outing). Pictures are from the south to the north.

First picture is us leaving the observation area.

Then we went down a very twisty road called "Bliss Road".  Very pretty but you have to drive carefully!

When we got home, Zeke says he's got to go on to his next adventure so we said "Goodbye."

I'll write more when we go out again!

Then we went down to a park right on the Mississippi River, called Riverside Park.

this is a picture of me with the American flag flying :)
me meeting Tecumseh, she says this was Native American land before :)
the two blue bridges that connect Wisconsin and Minnesota (she says that I went on that when we went to Winona) :)
and finally a shot of me with a statue of the American Bald Eagle.

We hit the highway going to her sister's this afternoon. It was a beautiful day out!

With the population, it's technically a town. It's small enough that at noon everyday, they have the "noon whistle" which is the siren in town signaling that it's noon.

(Oops forgot to mention, RessutheBeagle joined us today! He came all the way from Finland!)  B)

We woke up to snow!! She had to take our pictures from the back door and show us how pretty it was. We got more snow than they forecast but it was still 4 inches.

Then we snuggled up to the dog.

Well, we came home from her sister's and she knew that I had to move on so my new friends came and said "Goodbye" and we all wished each other fun travels!

I had fun here but I know I'll have more to say when I travel...
More when I land in Massachusetts!

It sure is cold but I've seen snow before.

Unfortunately, Puppy seems to be missing forever. I tried so hard to contact her last hoster, but I got no response...  :(
This make me sad. At least I'd like to get Puppy back!!
