Hello! I'm Super Grover, not the normal Grover from Sesame Street I'm his twin that was born exactly 30 years later. Now that I'm going to be 10 years old this year I thought hey, it's time to see the world. I'd love to see Europe and see the world and see all the famous places that the real Grover has seen and I want to see them and show them to my new mom. She was nice enough to adopt me as I was the last left, I'm so happy she loves me!

I'm very small so I'm very easy to send at the most I'm 30 grams and I'm very thin and well, tiny... all I ask is you keep me safe where ever anyone takes me. I'm excited though. Here's a picture my mom took of me today...

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y289/saragoescrazy3/supergrover.jpg

As you can see I'm extremely excited to go on my trip, but my mom says it'll still be a bit of time as she needs to find people that will take me to show me the world... even then I think staying at home for a bit longer might be fun. We'll see how it goes! If you see me and you want to host me though, feel free to message my mom as she'd love to have hosts find her as well!

I got my first visit with another toyvoyager that hasn't lived with me before called Benni, mom says there are a few more coming. I'm pretty excited, she also told me that my first trip will be to Austria with chrissini and she'll be taking me to France as well. Then off to Scotland with Ocean_Soul13 so how exciting! I'm extremely anxious but I know I'm going to miss Leo Lion but I know he'll be safe traveling with mom and the other voyagers on their way to here... maybe I'll get to meet more... until then though, here's a picture of the three of us!

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y289/saragoescrazy3/tv_groupphoto.jpg

Aren't we just the cutest bunch? I'm so excited to see Europe, that's such a long way away, I just hope my hosts will show me around and post in my blog a lot for me since I can't do it myself... yet anyways. :-)

dear mommy!
many greets from austria! it's so great here!
as you already know, we will travel to paris soon, so today we had a little get together with all the girls to discuss the most important things.
with some of the girls, i went to the city called wels (it's about 15 km away from weißkirchen) yesterday to have a cup of coffee. kati, a friend of chrissi, went there by bike and she allowed me to take a little ride on it. i love bicycles!! :)
then my host showed me around a bit in this little city, we saw the "ledererturm", a very important tower in wels, a church and a shop for austrian costumes.
so here you can see all the pictures: (and more pictures will follow)

hi mom!!!
how are you?
i had a wonderful weekend. yesterday i went to an irish pub and to the cinema. we watched "ps.:i love you". unfortunately i couldn't take any photos, because it is not allow to take a camera to the cinema. but the film was really great, you should watch it, too! ;)
today was a quiet day. we did nothing special.
here is a picture of me sitting on the front passenger's seat in my host's car:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2325/2255504870_17f7e34100.jpg?v=0

as i do not like to only be the co-driver, i decided to make a driving licence. chrissi showed me her driving school and registered me for a course.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2135/2255504864_8205481c1c.jpg?v=0
so this is how an austrian drivin school looks like. the sign says "driving school".
i'm very excited to have driving lessons and of course i'm afraid i won't pass the test!!! but my host says she thinks i'll be a good driver ;)

see you soon,

dear mom!
here are some more photos of wels, where i have been a few times the last days.

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2051/2255504856_4d23879c23.jpg?v=0
this is the garden of the castle of wels. in summer, the garden is very beautiful and many people like to be there. now that the weather is not so fine, there are no flowers planted. the building which you can see on the photo is the castle of wels. the building is now used as a museum.

this is the house of hans hoffmann, who was the director of the castle:
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2359/2255504848_26fe24b04b.jpg?v=0
it's also called "house of the salome alt", because the famous salome alt lived there from 1611 to her death in 1633.

and last but not least this is the "welser metzen" (strumpet of wels):
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2179/2254699239_70fa2ece7e.jpg?v=0
it's just a copy of the original strumpet, because the original is in the museum of the castle. it is a degree for crop and the capacity is 75 liter.

dear mom!!
france is so cool! i love it here.
the flight was really okay. quick and comfortable. the way from the airport to our hotel was a bit long, but anyway, we did it.
today we got up very early to see as many sights as possible from paris. we bought a ticket for a hop on hop off bus and it was a very good investment. in the bus, we received ear phones to listen to the history of paris. that was so interesting!!
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3025/2281916332_89b0e92206.jpg?v=0

our first stop was notre damme. what a huge church!!!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2009/2281916326_3257c91570.jpg?v=0
pity taking photos inside the church wasn't allowed, it was amazing.

the next stop was the best thing about paris. my first life mission. me and the EIFFEL TOWER!!! :)
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3191/2281916334_46a73d8c1d.jpg?v=0
here i am on the second platform:

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3192/2281921504_509426f602.jpg?v=0
and that's not all.
i also went to the very top of the eiffel tower!! the view was gorgeous!
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2354/2281921506_caf7d9a932.jpg?v=0
luckily, the weather was fine, so we could see very far.
back on the ground, some of the girls wanted to take a photo with me.
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2097/2281916338_82b5bf8b65.jpg?v=0
so let me introduce you to kati, caro and dani (from left to right). all three are very good friends of chrissi and i had a good time with them.

well...i guess that's enough for today. we will go back to our hotel to take a little rest and explore more of paris yesterday.
good night!!

our trip to paris was so fantastic. thank you that you send me to chrissi to go with her to paris.
our camera broke down today, but chrissi's friend took a photo of me in front of the mona lisa in the louvre.
maybe with much phantasy you can identify the painting, the light was not good and the photo is not very good.

Bonjour!
I'm safe and back to France ... This time i'm visiting Arras in the north. I went to the library with Tony, Malcom and Fleur but I haven't seen anything : i was still in my enveloppe ... I'm happy to stay with a dutch beaver and an english teddy bear : they're great. We had some canadian cookies for tea, made with mapple syrup, very yummy. Today i've been to Fleur's office but she was so busy. Hard day's work.
I can't wait for this week-end to discover the city!

This time i wasn't in my enveloppe and i could discover Arras! It was very nice especially to see the market with my english friend Tony. We met Fleur's workmate : there are many people going to the market. I like to see the candy shop, and the flowers, the cheese, veggies, meat ... Many things to buy there !

Bonjour!
What a bad weather since a few days !! On sunday, after a good french breakfast, we all went to the city hall since Fleur had to vote for local elections. But it was so rainy we couldn't do any pic. Then it's only rain and wind here ... So after work, Fleur came with some french fries for lunch. It was great but we couldn't eat every thing, too much ! (french fries is the favorite food in the north of France).
We have a new guest : an american alien called Maybe. She's cool!
All togather, we baked some cookies for tea and it was very yummy.

I enjoyed this week-end in the countryside, at Fleur's parents. I travelled by train with all my toys friends. I played in  the garden, there was many flowers. I also had lot of fun with the animals : cats, dog and pony. Fleur's sister Aude has done a lovely drawing of all the toys, she's a good artist.

It's spring time here but the weather is very bad ... I can't wait for Easter and eggs hunting. 2 new tv joined us recently : a shy dutch teddy bear called Coop and Pimboli, an american monkey. It's great to talk with them. Fanette, the old french teddy bear has read the " 1001 nights " for us tonight.

Joyeuse Pâques ! (happy easter!)
I spent this week-end in the countryside. We travelled by train and were welcomed by a good tea. There was a lot of chocolates for us to celebrate Easter . We all had to go to Fleur's father's car - comfortable - to go to Fleur's grand-father. He lives an hour drive.[/size]

Hello there!
Yesterday was great! We had warm and sunny weather and decided to drive to Luxembourg. My host took soem pictures of me on our trip. First I am in the car on the way there with some vineyards in the distance. The next is a funny photo of me in front of the Musée de la Banque and State Savings Bank with the sun directly behind it. Then I am guarding the collection box in the cathedral. There's me in front of the Palais de Justice. And lastly Dharma and I climbed on this entertainer.

I got to see something of Germany afterall. We stopped in Trier on our way back home from Luxembourg. Mayn other people had the same idea, so we had to wait in traffic a bit and then walk some way from the parking space but it was worth it. The atmosphere of the town is amazing and there's plenty to see. I had my picture taken with some of the many well restored houses and in the cathedral.

We went for a walk in the forest today. The others didn't notice, but I saw shadows and lights all the time that just weren't quite right. When I looked closer, I saw that there were ghosts floating close to the path, meaning to attack us. But of course I had my super hearo costume with me. After a quick change I chased those ghosts off into the holes in dead trees and dark paths. Nobody believed me, of course, there you have it: one always needs to be in the company of a superhero to be save. Afterwards the gloomy atmosphere was gone and I could take a well deserved rest.

Well, I arrived here in England a little while ago. Unfortunately poor Steve & Helly have been rushed off their feet so I've been resting.

I've been amusing myself by watching English TV. Tonight it was a programme about Stonehenge.

Sorry about the photos, I hope you can see them OK.

Well, my introduction to England has not been good as the weather has been too bad for getting out and about.

However, today was fantastic! Helly was at work and Steve took the day off to have his children.

So, here I am, plane spotting at Bristol Airport. We parked at the perimiter fence and had a fantastic view of the planes.

Steve & Helly

Posted Jun 3, 2008, 7:33 am
To plane spot you need:

A print out of the flights going in and out of the airport that day
Binoculers
A copy of 'Civil Aircraft' book
A log book and pen

Here I am with my friend, Rangler, getting ready to spot.

It's raining again!!

I'm bored!

I know what, I'll go with Helly to work . . .

I can help with the mouse . . .

With the keyboard . . .

I can answer the phone . . .

and I can do some writing . . .

Right, bored with being good and helping . . . now what?

. . . I know, I'll build some card houses using Helly's business cards . . .

The sun is shining and I'm off to explore the local landscape. First stop is Silbury Hill. This is the largest man made hill in Europe and no one knows why it's here.

English Heritage have just finished some lengthy work to support it as it was collapsing, the result of Victorian excavations.
Steve & Helly

Posted Jun 7, 2008, 7:28 pm
This is an avenue of stones called . . . funnily enough . . . The Avenue. It leads to Avebury Stone Circle.  There used to be two avenues. Only two stones remain of the other one. Helly is hoping to show me them next week.

Overton Hill has seven round barrows, ancient burial mounds. Wiltshire has hundreds of them, from the famous West Kennet Long Barrow to the lesser known East Kennet Long Barrow, which is larger than the one at West kennet but not open to the public.

The round barrows here are situated next to The Ridgeway. This ancient path has been used since prehistoric times by herdsmen, soldiers and travellers.

Wiltshire is famous for its eight white horses. This is Cherhill's, one of the largest. I'd like to climb up there, although it looks a long way up.

Here I am, back in Wroughton, this time it's to meet another Toy Voyager, Stedman.

Stedman is about to start his big adventure and visit Calne in America. he's very excited, although a bit nervous. Rangler & I told him all about Toy Voyaging and how exciting it was.

I think we put his mind at rest!

Oh, and Bud's arrived too.

Look who's here . . . this is Helly's very first hand made bear. She took him in to show her boss and never got him back!!!

Posted Jun 17, 2008, 9:48 pm
I'm told I'm going to do something VERY exciting today, which not many people get to do.

However, first stop, Calne itself to look at some tiles local school children have made. I rested on the back of a big frog and pretended I was being taken for a froggy ride.

Oh, and an enormous pump!

It's Father's Day and Helly has brought her Dad here, to Haynes Motor Museum in Sparkford.

These old cars are Morris Itals. Helly's Dad used to work at the factory that made them.

After spending time outside I went inside the museum

Helly has two favourite cars, a Morris Minor, and this . . . a Frogeye Sprite.

The green car is almost identical to one Helly's Grampy used to have.

Two Citroens next . . .

A 2CV - of course - and this rather lovely Traction Avant. I can just imagine gangsters hanging out the sides.

Then I found a tiny car, just perfect for Rangler and me!

LOOK AT THIS . . .

It's me in a £170,000 1930's four and a half litre Bentley and I'm about to go around the race track. I'm going to be driven by a driver and go with Helly's Dad.

Back to Avebury.

The first stop was to see the Adam and Eve stones. Only two stones remain of another procesional avenue of stones which lead to Avebury.

Then I stopped briefly in Avebury itself.

I'm off now, to the post office and on into the world.

I've enjoyed my stay. I hope to return in the future and visit Stonehenge for real.

Hello mummy!

I'm in Tenerife now! My new host Katja came back from holiday on Monday evening and found me in an envelope. There was also another ToyVoyager welcoming me, Dirkie and then we found another ToyVoyager too in another envelope; Chip. He was actually supposed to go travel with Dirkie a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately he didn't arrive in time :( Well I hope that we both get to see a lot of Tenerife while we're here! You're probably wondering why I haven't updated earlier..Katja's had so much to do since she came back that we haven't really been able to go anywhere and yesterday she was working for 24 hours too. This morning we went to the estate agents and got some photos on our way there. Dirkie was also very kind in showing us the house and also introducing us to Felix, Katja's cat.

Here's me with a nice red flowered tree on the background

Here's us three in Katja's car.

I was a bit scared when I noticed Felix's teeth..I thought he was going to eat me!

http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2010.jpg
..but no, I think he was only jawning as we woke him up..

This is us again with the sauna elf

http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2002.jpg
..and again with a big aloe vera plant.

http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2005-1.jpg
And that's me posing on a smaller aloe vera

Well that's it for today. Dirkie's leaving tomorrow so there will be just me and Chip here. I think we'll get on great with him, he's a great monkey! :)

Hello!

Today we've been to Katja's work, well we are still here because she works 24 hour shifts. She works as an interpreter/receptionist in a small tourist surgery. She says that most summer days are very quiet, same as today has been, but winter time is really busy because that's when all the Scandinavians come over to Tenerife. Also Katja was bored while at work so she decided to look for some hotels and actually booked one in Puerto de la Cruz for next Saturday which is great because I've been told that the northern side of the island is very different from the southern side where I am at the moment so it'd be great to see that too and maybe we'll go over Teide when we come back *wink*wink* ;)

We had a look around Katja's work place. There's not really much to see put here are some photos anyway.

Hi!

Today Spain won the football Euro Cup. My host is really not into football so you won't hear a big deal about it from me either. But we did take a photo outside her work with a Spanish flag decorating someone balcony upstairs, obviously to support the Spanish team. It must have worked :)

We went to a shop called Iceland today in Los Cristianos so we got some photos of Los Cristianos. We finally saw the sea too!

Hola mummy!

Today (well the date of the update) we went to Puerto de la Cruz for a mini break. We stayed in a hotel called La Perla which was ok, but not one of the best ones you could find. But it was all inclusive so we could eat and drink as much as we wanted. Don't worry, I didn't drink too much :) Because it was all inclusive, we didn't have much time to explore Puerto de la Cruz because we had to go eat all the time and also on Sunday, when we left, it was raining. Here are some photos we took:

This was taken on our way to Puerto de la Cruz. You can see Teide, the vulcano in Tenerife, on the background. You will see my adventures on Teide in my next update.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/05072008285.jpg

This is me and Chip walking in Puerto de la Cruz, near the hotel.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/05072008298.jpg

On this one you can see some palm trees on the background.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/05072008300.jpg

This tree is called dragon tree. It's a very characteristical tree for Tenerife.

And here's me and lots of grass...

If you want to see more photos, you can go here and see all of them.

I'll write about our adventures on Teide soon!

Hello!

Finally I've had a chance to tell you about our trip to Teide. We went there from Puerto de la Cruz where it was raining but when we got on Teide, there were no clouds about because we had gone through them. Teide National Park is one of the UNESCO world heritages and the vulcano, Teide, is 3718m high. We didn't go all the way to the peak because first you have to take a cable car and then you'd have to have a permission from the National Park council to climb up to the peak. Even my hosts haven't done that. They've gone up on the cable car that takes you to 3555m. The cable car leaves from 2356m so that's about the height where we were. We took loads of pictures but I won't put all of them here because that'd make this update really long. But you can see them all on the site I gave you in my last update.

This is us, me and Chip on our way to Teide, travelling through the clouds :)
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2016.jpg

Here we are travelling through clouds and ROAD WORKS...they are everywhere..
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2020.jpg

This is me and as you can see, we are above the clouds!
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2030.jpg

We're getting closer to Teide...
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/06072008310.jpg

This is us with Teide on our background.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/06072008322.jpg

I was told that the Planet of the Monkeys and some Star Wars films were filmed here because it's very moonlike here. They covered the road with sand and chose places where there weren't that many bushes.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/06072008334.jpg

This is us again with Teide on the background and also the famous rock which is on many postcards. Katja doesn't know what it's called though.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2034.jpg

And here's a bit clearer photo of Teide and the rock.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2041.jpg

This is us with a tall plant behind us. Winter time they have red flowers on them and Katja says that they look really nice.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2048.jpg

This is me flying!!!!
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/100_2054.jpg

This photo was taken a lot lower down the mountain.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/06072008337-1.jpg

And on this one you can already see villages and towns and even the coast line.
http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z274/katjaintenerife/06072008349-1.jpg

Well I hope you liked the photos and I hope to update again soon!

Take care,

Super Grover is in the building!

I arrived late to beautiful, scenic Levanger, but was in good shape upon my arrival despite the delay. When I arrived, I was sleepy and wanted to unpack my stuff, so we waited until the next day to go on an excursion. We went to see one of the beautiful sunsets of the county Nord-Trøndelag, Norway. I am packed with ideas of places to visit, as I have already had plenty of time on my flight here to read about ancient Norwegian history and worthwhile sites of this particular region. I can't wait to see some ancient historical viking sites! I am so happy to finally be here :) :) :)

Stay tuned! :D

Hi Mom! I've been soo busy visiting Switzerland that it's only today that I have time to upload pictures.
First of all I voted! The political system of Switzerland is what we call a "direct democratie". It means that each time the government wants to make changes in the Constitution, the people has to vote to say whether it's ok for them or not. We vote 3 or 4 times a year. On the 30th on November Sunshine had to vote for 5 things among them the prohibition of smoking in bars and night clubs, the legalization of marijuana. The results are the following: yes for the interdiction of smoking and no for the marijuana.

Then last week I vsitied a Fribourg. The most beautiful thing in this little town of 35,000 inhabitants is the medieval part of the town. You can see it on the following pictures taken from the modern part of the city. As you can see it's really green although it's winter but it's being snowing since we took this photo. Now it's white everywhere!!!

Fribourg is alos know for it's cathedral St-Nicolas whose tower is the symbol of the town. I went inside to see its gothic style. It is not as big as others cathedrals of France or Germany but it's nice.

Sunshine is a student of Art History and English Literature. She showed me the building of the University of Fribourg where she studies. Fribourg is a town of 35,000 inhabitants as I've already written. In addition to these inhabitants many students live here because 10,000 people study here. Besides there are other schools like school of Architecture, Engeenering, Nurses, primary school teachers, social workers or school of arts. The town is very young! That's nice!

We took new pictures of the cathedral St-Nicolas. As the city Hall is nearby, I saw it too!

Posted Dec 20, 2008, 10:39 am
As Sunshine likes art, we went to the art museum of Fribourg. As it was closed, we only saw the nice building (an old house) and the garden where there are a lot of sculptures. The last one (the colorful) has been made by Niki de St-Phall, a famous woman-sculptor. She was born in Paris from american parents in 1930. In 1971 she married Jean Tinguely, a famous swiss sculptor born in Fribourg, and acquired the swiss citizenship. Jean and Niki, dead now, are the symbols of Fribourg although they lived in Paris! You can see their works in many famous museums all around the world and in Switzerland too
swiss_sunshine

Posted Dec 20, 2008, 10:47 am
Some areas of Fribourg are built on little hill like Sunshine's. She wanted to show us the building where she lives from the top of another hill. We walked there. Oh it was not high at all but as the pavement was slippery, it was a bit dangerous to "climb" on there!
swiss_sunshine

Posted Dec 20, 2008, 10:55 am
And the pictures of Sunshine's area seen from the hill called "Le Guintzet" It's mainly a residential area but there are also a primary school and a church. A few shops like a bakery or a grocery shop and one or two cafés too but the center is so close that one dooesn't really need a lot of shops!

It's time to decorate the house of Christmas!! I don't know if it's also a custom in Australia but in Switzerland, under the Christmas tree and in addition to the presents, we put a Christmas Crib. Sunshin's Mom made one herself and it's so big that in the house they don't have a Christmas Tree, only the cirb! The tree is outside on the balcony.

Hello!

After I had some rest Jenny took all of us to a trip to see the harbour of Hamburg. There was a lot of snow here and it was really cold. But it was really interesting. First we had a view over the harbour from the train station.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00121.jpg
The harbour has a lot of little bridges to go down to the ships.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00128.jpg
As it started to rain just then, Jenny decided to take us to the old tunnel under the river Elbe.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00130.jpg
Then we had a beautiful view over the harbour from the other side of the river. It was just a little sad that we had the rain.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00142.jpg
I was also able to see some ships

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00140.jpg
After the rain stopped we had a little picknick in the snow. It was fun to be with all the other TVs there.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00147.jpg
The yellow ship is a ferry to the musical "The Lion King" which is located in the harbour. But they are also used as regular ferries when they are not needed for the musical.
We were very tired and hungry after we had seen so much of the harbour and we were happy to go home. I hope to see more of Hamburg soon!

Hello!
Some weeks ago Jenny took us to see more of Hamburg. We went to the city centre and saw the towm hall of Hamburg. I really liked it, it looks really beautiful.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00123-1.jpg
Afterwards we went to the Alster along the so called "Alsterarkaden". It really doesn't look like a city in Germany there. We also saw a lot of ducks and swans, they live there in the summer and in winter they are brought to a warmer place.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/IMG00131-1.jpg
Then we finally arrived at the lake Alster. It is located in the centre of Hamburg and it is really beautiful. The weather wasn't that good, I think it would be even more beautiful in the sunshine.

Hello!
Finally the day of my trip to Slovenia has arrived. Jenny wanted to go there to visit the skiflying world cup in Planica, which is also the final of the skijumping season. We started in Hamburg and went by train. The first train was over night and we had some kind of bed in there.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica200910.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica200917.jpg
The train just stopped in Augsburg and then wen had to change in Munich. But we had too less time to take a photo there.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica200912.jpg
We arrived in Planica safe and had a lot of fun there. The main things I get to see the next days were the skijumping hill and mountains. Both have been very impressing. The skijumping hill was so big and there were people who were "flying" downwards there. And the mountains were really beautiful.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica200995.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica200997.jpg

Our trip back home took about 19 hours because of some train problems but so we had the chance to take a photo in Villach/AUT and in Salzburg/AUT. We couldn't get far from the train station but I saw some trains and a bit of the city.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica2009262.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v641/mondfalke/Toyvoyagers/WCPlanica2009263.jpg

After it we visited the city – maybe only a village, but with colorful houses.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMG_6450.jpg

The beach is beautiful here – we saw some seals. They were very loud.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMG_6472.jpg

The lighthouse is wonderful. What a nice day.

In the evening we had a party, to welcome BineHH.

Today we had to leave Helgoland, but we had time to make a walk.
We played in a buoy.

In these cabins people changed their swimsuits many years ago. Can you find me on the photo?

On the way back in the Catamaran we had fun looking out of the windows. We saw ships and a nice part of Hamburg, called Blankenese. Rike told us, that the rich people live there.

Hello Mum,

yesterday Miily left us, and today it was time to say goodbye to Polki and BineHH.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Miili/IMG_6654.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/BineHH/IMG_6655.jpg

Because we were a little sad, Rike invited us to a nice walk.

The yellow flowers are wonderful.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Murph/IMAG0089.jpg

Then we saw cows...

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMAG0085.jpg

and horses.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMAG0094.jpg

In the end we found this beautiful tree - do you know, what kind of tree it is?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMAG0097.jpg

Now we are happy again - and will make nice trips in the next days. But Rike didn't tell us, where we will go.

Here is a nice small lake,

the old school,

and a beautiful church.

Then we helped Rike to plant some flowers.

Hi Mum,
we went to Lübeck. It is a nice city – in 1987 the Unesco declared the existing cityscape to be a World Cultural Heritage Site.  And it is a great city.

First we saw the Holsten Gate – it was on the 50-DM-bank-note of Germany. But now they have the Euro here.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMG_6693.jpg

Next to the Gate are the Salt Warehouses and other nice buildings.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Super%20Grover/IMG_6686.jpg

Then we climbed up the tower of the St. Peter’s Church. We had a lovely view of the city – but it was very stormy…

When we sat in our armchair today – a new TV arrived. She is called Kunigunde
and is a friendly little pig.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Kunigunde/IMG_6734.jpg

Because we were hungry we ate a big Pizza,

but it was to big for us...

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/Kunigunde/IMG_6733.jpg

Then Rike took us to the playground.

We had a lot of fun together.

We made a trip with the bike today.
The nice yellow fields are typical for Northern Germany at this time of the year. The plant is called rape we think, in German it is Raps, a funny word.

…and made a rest next to a lovely lake. We all had fun together.

Hi Mum,

because one of Cassandras life missions is it to read great children books, we searched in Rikes house and found two nice books.

In the first book there very many fairy tales. They are sometimes very spooky, but most of them have a happy ending.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6857.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6858.jpg

The second book is great, too. There are many songs for children in it - and I found one about a cat. We sang it together - it was wonderful !

Hi Mum,

in the afternoon we went to visit a nice castle. It was built in the years 1570-1585 and is very nice. Unfortunately we were not allowed to make photos inside, I think, they want to sell their postcards :(

But I found two photos from the inside in the web. And I can tell you more about it, when we meet again!

So, that are all of us on Rikes car.

Dear Mum,

Today two new TVs arrived here. It was just the right time for them to arrive. Rike planned a nice party with many games today, because three of us will travel to our next destinations this week-end. Now it is a Farewell- and a Welcome-Party. Great !

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6883.jpg

For the Party we had two teams. I am in the team for the small TVs.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6885.jpg

First we played billiard. That is not easy….so we moved the billiard cue together.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6888.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6889.jpg

The next game was darts. Rike told us, that it is not the goal to be photographed on the darts, but we loved to sit there. We all tried to have a 180, but that is not possible for a little ToyVoyager.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6894.jpg

After these sportive games, we played a game, named Ligretto. It is a very fast game and we had so much fun !

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6897.jpg

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6902.jpg

Our referee was a very funny Toy – it is called long hippo. He counted all the points from the different games and believe it or not, we are all winners.  What a wonderful evening.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6905.jpg

We had a wonderful sky  - can you see me in front of it?

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/RikeH_2009/A%20Gaeste/IMG_6874.jpg

On Saturday I will come home, or go to my next host. I had a great time here in Germany!

Yours
Super Grover
