being very inspired by his new friend Brian, luffy has decided that he too wishes to see the world!!

Luffy arrived at our house in America's Historic Triangle, Virginia, on Saturday, June 9. After resting from his trans-Atlantic journey, Luffy set off Monday morning to fulfil one of his life missions, visiting a school. Luffy visited three schools: an elementary school (K-5th grade), middle school (6-8th grade), and a high school (9-12th grade), this past week. He rode the school bus to the elementary school. |
3tmom Posted Jun 16, 2007, 2:44 pm |
Monday was kindergarten graduation. After the kindergarten concert, Luffy visited the kindergarten room with his host. Luffy read a book, ate a knowledge nugget, and headed home. |
3tmom Posted Jun 16, 2007, 2:51 pm |
On Tuesday, Luffy rode to high school with the 'big kids'. Luffy took two exams and helped his hostess clean out her locker. |
3tmom Posted Jun 16, 2007, 2:58 pm |
On Wednesday, Luffy checked out the middle school. He took two exams, helped his hostess clean out her locker, and wondered if the students ever learned anything since all they did was take exams and do manual labor. Luffy did enjoy the excitement of 1000 students charging up and down a staircase all at the same time. Thursday when Luffy went to the middle school, he played volleyball. He's okay even though the ball was much bigger than he thought. |
3tmom Posted Jun 16, 2007, 3:03 pm |
Last night, Friday the 15th, Luffy camped out with 7 boys. They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows on sticks over the fire, threw cheetos into the fire, and played flashlight tag. The end of the school year campout was fun but exhausting. |
3tmom Posted Jun 17, 2007, 1:06 am |
The oldest child hostess left today on a student exchange program to Germany. I helped carry her suitcases to the car. I met many students at the airport as they and their families gathered before the students departed. Maybe they'll meet some other ToyVoyagers while they're in Germany.
After we got home, I took a ride on the local train and tried to ring the bell. I'm tired from the campout last night so will say goodnight. |
3tmom Posted Jun 21, 2007, 4:56 pm |
Luffy left Virginia mid-morning and travelled south toward Florida. He saw lots of cars, trucks, trees, and grass. Luffy was amazed that he travelled in 4 states in one day. |
3tmom Posted Jun 21, 2007, 5:10 pm |
Luffy awoke early Wedneday morning in the hotel, safe and snuggly with Mimsy, from Poland, and Tweetie. They quickly put on their bathing costumes and headed for the pool for a quick dip before breakfast. After breakfast, everyone piled into the car and headed off for Florida.
Luffy and his hosts arrived at their Florida hosts' home late afternoon. The Roseate Spoonbills greeted Luffy languidly (is this a word?). Luffy also saw a fruit cocktail tree that grew lemons, limes, and tangerines. Looked like a lemon tree. |
3tmom Posted Jun 29, 2007, 1:13 pm |
Friday morning, we went to the Magic Kingdom. Ohhhh, it's so magical! We rode the monorail from the parking lot to get into the Magic Kingdom.
I saw Cinderella's castle, rode rides, and saw two parades. I rode the Pirates of the Caribbean and I got a pirate hat! After getting off "It's a Small World", I sang that song for hours. My host finally stuffed me into the camera bag. |
3tmom Posted Jul 2, 2007, 3:04 am |
Saturday we went to Epcot Center, Disney. We didn't walk as much and were cooler because many rides and entertainment were indoors.
I helped an astronaut navigate on the moon. I saw many educational shows but don't have a photographic record because the Mister took the camera. |
3tmom Posted Jul 2, 2007, 3:12 am |
Sunday, we went to the Animal Kingdom, Disney. We went on a safari and helped capture poachers. The safari ride was so bumpy, that I posed with some relatives later on.
I wanted to stop at McDonald's because I hadn't eaten there in days but my hostess said no. The dino ride was thrilling but scary. We finished our day by watching a bird show. The bald eagle, America's national bird, is quite majestic. I felt a little uneasy while the owl was out. |

We spent Mon-Wed in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I played on the beach and collected shells. Wed and Thur we drove home. Look at the posts for June 19 and 20 in reverse to see what we saw.

Nellie came home from Germany!! She let me play in her room. I made lots of friends! |

Today I begin my travels to France. Bye-bye. |
Mistigree Posted Aug 8, 2007, 12:06 am |
Today I arrived in France... The Postman put the envelope in Mistigree's mailbox. Everything was dark but I could hear a voice just near... It was Muki, another ToyVoyager who was waiting for Mistigree to come and open the mailbox !! As it was stifling here, I opened my enveloppe by myself and helped Muki to escape from his too. But we couldn't succeed in getting out of the mailbox, so we decided to wait for Mistigree.
|
Mistigree Posted Aug 9, 2007, 12:54 am |
Ah !!!! What a relief when Mistigree opened the mailbox today !! I was beginnig to suffer from claustrophobia and I could not have spent one day more in this obscurity !!
|
Mistigree Posted Aug 9, 2007, 11:46 pm |
I was so under stress and nervous because of all these days spent in this tiny little envelope, that the first thing I did when I entered in Mistigree's flat, was to go on her balcony and take one of her cigarettes to destress !!... Unfortunely, the cigarette didn't agree with me and I couldn't stop coughing !!
Then I saw a little tree with fruits on it, so as I was very hungry, I picked one of them and ate it. It was the first time of my life that I ate a kumquat... Mistigree was not very happy as this little tree is ornemental above all, and not especially meant to be eaten by a ToyVoyager... Then I realised that everybody in Mistigree's flat was looking at me with my kumquat in the mouth, and I was ashamed !! They were all waiting for me to introduce myself... I shaked many hands. Here you can see me with Monsieur Van de Kaub, who's Belgian and who will soon go on honey moon with his wife. Alpina was there too, and as we were the only ToyVoyagers for now, we decided to have a picture together with Muki before Alpina's departure in a few days... She's lucky, she's going to meet my owner niftylite !! |
Mistigree Posted Aug 10, 2007, 12:16 am |
Simon the crow asked me if I could lend him my tshirt and my corsair's hat... I accepted at the condition he lends me his wizard's cape.
Then, as I'm a bit pernickety, I washed my tshirt and let it dry on Mistigree's balcony. Muki washed his shirt too as he had been sweating profusely during the days in the mailbox. |
Mistigree Posted Aug 12, 2007, 3:21 pm |
Today we went to visit Carcassonne, which is about 100 kms from Toulouse. Maybe you've heard of this town ?? It has a big fortified castle, with ramparts that seem to go on and on for ever !!
I met a knight and asked him if he would like to become a ToyVoyager as me, but he replied that he prefered to stay here and look after the castle !! To become a knight and stay with my new friend was very tempting, and for a while, I totally forgot my corsair's hat... I wish I could have bought a suit of armour, with a shield and a sword !! Mistigree wanted to find a new tshirt for me as a souvenir, one with knights on it, but we didn't find one suitable, they were all for children, but not for ToyVoyagers. |
Mistigree Posted Aug 12, 2007, 3:42 pm |
In another shop, they were selling French bérets. Mistigree explained me those ones were fancy ones, with FRANCE written on them, but the real bérets are simply black or red (the colour depends on the region). There is a famous bérets fabric near where Mistigree's parents live (in a town called Nay). At a time (Mistigree doesn't know if they still do) they even manufactured the blue bérets for the United Nations Organization peace soldiers !
And those French flag ears made me think of Mickey Mouse ones, don't you think ?! |
Mistigree Posted Aug 12, 2007, 4:12 pm |
After having visited the castle and its ramparts, we went to see "Le musée de l'école" (school museum) which is situated in one of the little lanes of Carcassonne. I went there with Taro who is hosted by Mood, a friend of Mistigree.
In fact they have reconstructed a French classroom as it was before. Look at the Marianne bust on the wall !! Marianne is the symbol of the French Republic and we can find it nowardays in each townhall. At the time it was also in each classroom (now, it isn't anymore). We can find Marianne on French stamps too. I looked on the wall and there was plenty of interesting things. First an old map of France to learn all the French subdivisions. I learnt that Toulouse was in "Haute-Garonne", Carcassonne is in "Aude" and Mistigree's parents lives in "Pyrénées-Atlantiques"... but I don't know if I will remember all... Then I learned about French history, you know "La prise de la Bastille" during the French Revolution (when they beheaded their king !!) I also learnt in the years 1880, they created what they called "le bataillon scolaire" (school batallion). Children over 12 had to follow a kind a military training, but it didn't last a lot (hopefully !!) Do you know Jean de la Fontaine ?? He's a French writter who wrote many fables featuring animals. One of his most famous fable is "La cigale et la fourmi" (the cicada and the ant) whose illustration we could see on the wall. It is a French classical fable that every children usually learn at school ! I approched a cupboard... but when I saw what there was inside, I prefered to escape.... There were several bocals containing dead snakes and frogs with formol (I presume) !! Hopefully there were no monkeys... In another cupboard there were bottles of ink and different old nibs (the most famous brand was called "la plume Sergent Major") because at the time, they were not writing with pens, but with nibs and purple ink !! As we could try to write with a nib, I sat down on a table, and tried to make a fair copy of something in French that was written on the black board. Hopefully, there was a blotting paper ! Isn't that good for my first time with a nib ??? As we had worked enough, it was time for the break now, so we went in the playground and I played "Marelle" (hopscotch). |
Mistigree Posted Aug 30, 2007, 7:57 pm |
Hey !! Look !! I can nearly touch the sky ! I wanted to go for a walk on the roofs of Toulouse, but Mistigree did not let me go, she was afraid that I may fall !!
Today, I saw le Capitole, the Townhall of Toulouse, it is so big, I'm not persuaded the mayor needs the whole building to work !! The green plants that you can see just in front of the Capitole is a labyrinth for children !! It is only here during summer. Inside the townhall, I saw many Middle Age paintings, but an old man on a painting seemed to look at me maliciously and I got scared and escaped rapidly !! In the same building, there is the National Theater too, but I don't think we will go to see a play here, it is quite expensive !! I tried to enter by the stage door ("entrée des artistes") but they forced me back outside !! I told them that I was a friend of Gérard Depardieu, the French actor, but they didn't believe me !! Then, Mistigree showed me another theater," le théâtre Sorano". "Un tramway nommé désir" will be played here soon !! You certainly know it with another name..." A streetcar named desire" ! |
Mistigree Posted Aug 30, 2007, 8:04 pm |
Do you remember France won the football worldcup in 1998 ??? (hum... they often forget to tell they lamentably lost in 2002 !!)
See what Zinedine Zidane is doing now !! An advertising campaign for glasses !!!!! |
Mistigree Posted Aug 30, 2007, 8:21 pm |
Today I took the train to go to Mistigree's parent's house for a few days. The station is called "Toulouse Matabiau".
In the station's corridors, I saw this poster that made me laugh !! It is an advert for a Country Music festival that helds every year in Mirande (a town in Gers, not too far from Toulouse). This year, the "prestigious" hosts were those old actors from Dallas !!! Sue-Ellen has not changed a lot, I guess she has a good plastic surgeon !! |
Mistigree Posted Aug 30, 2007, 9:24 pm |
While Mistigree was cooking the midday meal, I secretly decided to taste green peppers and chorizo... I'll never do it again !!!!! It was too hot and my mouth was burning !!
|
Mistigree Posted Sep 1, 2007, 8:36 pm |
This afternoon, I went to Pau. It is a little town just near, and Mistigree told me there were many English people who were living here. In fact, the duke of Wellington (future victorious of Napoléon), stopped in Pau with his army in the XIX century and British discovered Pau at that time and introduced their way of life here (hunting for the fox -poor Foxforce !-, golf, hippodromme, many villas...)
Mistigree showed me the castle of Henri IV who was a king of France. He was nicknamed "le bon roi Henri" (good king Henry) or "le Vert galant" (the gallant Green). It is said that Henri IV (who's not as physically "strong" as our Henry VIII in England !!) was baptized with a Jurançon drop !! (Jurançon is a famous wine from the area) !! And he is well known in France for having said the following thing : "God willing, every working man in my kingdom will have a chicken in the pot every Sunday, at the least !"... So you can find in the region many recipes of "Poule au pot" (Mistigree's father sometimes cook it). This is the garden at the foot of the castle. It is what we call "un jardin à la française" (a French garden) as you can notice when you see the thickets shapes ! |
Mistigree Posted Sep 1, 2007, 8:48 pm |
Once back home, I saw Mistigree's father had a bottle of this wine Jurançon (which Henri IV was baptized with), so I discretely opened the fridge and drank some of it straight from the bottle !! I'm sure Tiger Tom will be jealous !!
I tried to open a jar of Foie gras too, but I did not succeed, it was too hard for me !! |
Mistigree Posted Sep 6, 2007, 6:20 pm |
I made a little trip by train today as we went to Lourdes, not far from Mistigree's parents house.
Maybe you've heard from this town before ? It is a pilgrimage city with a big basilica dedicated to Virgin Mary. People who come here usually come to see the grotto where Virgin Mary appeared 150 years ago... That's what catholic people think in any case, but who really knows ?? They also come to drink water from the grotto as it is supposedly miraculous ! And in case the water doesn't do miracles, you can always light a candle for a prayer. I found this statue of St-Margaret, the patroness of Scoltland, and it reminded me of my native Great-Britain ! I also went to visit the castle fort which is quite smaller than the Tower of London but which doesn't contain any royal jewels ! This miniature house was in the courtyard of the castle and represents a typical house from the Basque Country which is a region 100 kms from here ! Mistigree told me she liked the colours of those houses and therefore she painted some things in her kitchen with the same dark red (it is called "Bordeaux") colour ! I also noticed this very strange tree in the courtyard !! Look at its trunk !!! We came back with the high speed train which got nice colours ! |
Mistigree Posted Sep 6, 2007, 6:59 pm |
Today Muki organised a party because it was Szandra's birthday (Szandra is her mentor).
Muki asked me to blow up the balloons !! I must confess that I did not stay a lot to the party because I met a beautiful blue-eyed French girl who made me crazy (I think I'm in love...) |
Mistigree Posted Sep 6, 2007, 7:59 pm |
This monkey is terrifying, but I can open my mouth larger than him !!!!
|
Mistigree Posted Sep 9, 2007, 11:21 pm |
Look what I found in Mistigree's kitchen !!!!! This tea box reminds me of my origin !!
|
Mistigree Posted Sep 15, 2007, 3:03 pm |
Mistigree lives just near a scientific complex with many aeronautic and space schools or companies and she showed me some of them as I want to visit a space camp, she thought I'd like to see this complex too.
This one is the "école supérieure de l'aéronautique et de l'espace" (Superior school of aeronautic and space). I even saw a little plane through the railings ! Unfortunetely we could not enter as it is observed by the Departement of National Defence ! ONERA... Mistigree doesn't know what it is and what it means but it seems to be a space research compagny ?! And this is the CNES (centre national des études spatiales : national space studies centre or something like that !). The scupture just in front of the entrance is called MICROMEGAS and represents a planet I guess ! Just near, we can find the CNRS (National Scientific Research Centre). |
Mistigree Posted Sep 18, 2007, 10:02 pm |
Here is Le Pont-Neuf, one of the bridges of Toulouse, that crosses the river Garonne.
And this is a brick wall, typical from Toulouse. Mistigree finds that the walls of Toulouse are like the walls of Dublin in terms of colours and bricks !! I don't know, I've never been to Dublin by now ! Look what I found at the corner of a street !!! A pub !!! Just like in England !!! Apparently it is quite new because Mistigree hadn't seen it before. |
Mistigree Posted Sep 22, 2007, 10:07 pm |
Today, I nearly fulfilled one of my missions : visiting a space camp ! I say "nearly" because it is not a real space camp that I went to, but a big museum about space, called "La cité de l'espace".
Here is the map of the museum. It is really big and as we arrived a little bit late, we couldn't visit all the sideshows, but I saw many interesting things nevertheless. Hey look ! I was welcomed by Youri Gagarine and Neil Armstrong themselves ! First we went to visit the exhibition rooms inside that was about life in space. This strange suit is a thermal regulation suit, that cosmonauts wear under their space suit so that they have a normal temperature. I wouldn't change my tshirt for it !! Here are showed different space machines. Then it was time for a short movie at the Astralia cinema. This cosmonaute was at the entrance of the cinema and I absolutely wanted to have my picture taken with him ! The film was called "Destiny in space" and showed a team of astronauts, how they were eating, sleeping etc... As it was a 3D movie, we had to wear special glasses... Please, don't laugh at me, there weren't glasses that sized me !! After the movie, we visited the park where you can see this replica of the Ariane space rocket !! I was so proud posing in front of it !! Of course, I thought of Ham, the first monkey who was launched into space from Cap Canaveral on a Mercury space rocket in 1961 ! I guess he had to train hard to be able to do this experience and survive the flight. Inside the replica of Ariane, they have installed games, and I played guessing ones ! Do you want to try to answer too ?? Here is the question : Are all the stars in a constellation situated at the same distance from Earth ? I also enjoyed this game about seasons in the different continents where I had to make the earth turn with a hand lever ! After Ariane, I saw ERS 2 Radar Satellite replica. The real ERS 2 was launched in 1995 by Ariane 4 and can deliver pictures of seas, ices, and it can even take pictures of the Earth through the clouds ! And this is a launcher Soyouz replica ! It can contain 3 cosmonauts ! And last but not least !! I was so excited when I saw MIR space station !!! Of course the name MIR is written here in russian (Mistigree learnt some russian at school, so she knew that !) We could visit the inside of MIR. I was curious about those drawers. Mistigree told me they contained pre-packaged food. Look how the cosmonautes have to sleep inside MIR !! I doubt wether it is comfortable !! There were command buttons everywhere. I wish I could have pressed them but Mistigree told me I couldn't ! Hey !! Look at me !! I'm in weightless conditions as this astronaut ! Besides, I AM AN ASTRONAUT !! Look at the blue planet here ! It is the earth where we are living on !! It looks so small ?! I like the reflection in the helmet as if we were on the moon ! Then it was time to leave unfortunately, but I will keep a wonderful memory of that day in La Cité de l'Espace, that's for sure ! |
Mistigree Posted Sep 23, 2007, 2:02 pm |
Yesterday evening I tried to read a book in French (but not from a French writter). I know that niftylite, my mentor, likes this book and I wanted to read it too, but I need to improve my French first as it was too hard for me to understand everything !
Then Mistigree showed me a postcard of New-York (it is an old poscard, there were still the twin towers at that time) as one of my mission is to visit the Big Apple !! But it seems the next country I will be travelling to is... Russia !!!! Yeah !! I'm going to visit kristl in Moscow in a few days !!! |
Mistigree Posted Oct 1, 2007, 8:52 pm |
Today, I'm leaving France... At that time, I'm in a box at the post office, waiting to fly to Russia... Fortunately, I'm not alone, I'm going to travel together with Bertold... I'm a little afraid because he seems a bit boring, always talking about books and Dewey classification...
My last picture from here was taken in the townhall... I'm posing with François Miterrand and Jacques Chirac, 2 ex-French presidents !!! If only I could be the ToyVoyagers' President... |
kristl Posted Oct 23, 2007, 12:39 pm |
Hi everybody,
I'm finally here!! and Bertold is here too!! We're tired but happy, cause we already met here many toys that I think we'll become our friends and 1 ToyVoyager - Archibald! He's monkey too!!! May be we can make our own Helloween Party too?.. We'll see!! Everything with many fotos - later)) Hey! And here go the photos from my first day in Moscow!! Still at the post office with Bertold and our box for two We were travelling in Kristl's back pack and Kristl was in the underground train. So it means --- that we were there too ) With our new friends - Archibald and nice rose bear in TV-T-shirt There were more toys in the rucksack!! Look at Beary and Finnii: I already like staying here!! |
kristl Posted Oct 25, 2007, 5:09 am |
Hey!! Today we were at the Moscow State University together with Kristl That was funny! The weather was awful and I couldn't see anything beautiful in the street, but I liked our staying at the University!!
Here I'm travelling in the tram number 39. And here I'm in the university cafe Kristl and her classmate hate to do some home work And I could have some tea Here's Kristl's notebook. There's something about the mathematical theory of grammatics she says. I think it's boring. How can they listen to the lector 3 hours?? Look!! They study something about diamonds!! May be it can be interesting And here is what the lector has written. The same rot Kristl has in her notebook. But what I really liked there is the view that openes from the windows!!! Kristl says that when the weather is good you can see almost the whole Moscow. It sounds fantastic!!! Hope I'll have a chance to enjoy it! Kristl promised Bertold to go to a library with him.. I don't want to go there Hope I can stay with Kristl's classmate for one or two hours, may be we can do something interesting! |
kristl Posted Oct 29, 2007, 3:10 pm |
That's great!!!!
Let me tell you everything!! I didn't want to go to the library with Kristl and Bertold, so I desided to visit Kristl's mate Olga on the weekends She told me that she could take me to a walking tour that she and her friends were going to attend October, 27-28. I was happy. It was a hard walk but we managed to do many things!! We found all the checkpoints we had to find: I tasted some camp food: And boiled the water myself!! It was a bit cold in the morning so we had to get warm: And we had some time for rest, that was wonderful.. And here I'm with one of the hikers on our way home: |
kristl Posted Nov 27, 2007, 11:13 am |
I'm so busy, so busy! I just do not have time to write anything!!!
And today I found out that I'm going home for Christmas! I'm happy but it means that I have very little time to tell about everything.. But I'll try. With photos, of course! First of all -- nice photos made on my forst day here: With a Bear who is a TV-fan and wears a TV-T-Shirt!! He's very nice And here we're with Bertold and a very special Bear.. He takes part in an act of charity \"7 wish-petals\" for the children with oncological diseases.. There's a russian cartoon \"Tsvetik-semitsvetik\" (The Seven-colour Flower) where a girl got a seven-color flower with 7 petals and she could make 7 wishes. The last wish and the only right wish was to heal a boy so that they could play together. That's why the act of charity is called so. And here I'm with my brother-TV - monkey Archibald. We're dreaming of a Halloween Party cause we didn't managed to get to BunTraveler's one.. We all together! |

October 31, 2007
HELLOWEEN PARTY The time has come to tell you about the Helloween Patry 2007! On October 31 the Toys that live in this flat prepared a special Party for all the TVs that were visiting us here. They decorated the sofa with pictures from fantasy books to make the atmosphere more frightening Everybody had a costume: Luffy and CharityBear were pirates, Archibald and the Rose Bear were DragonLords (they weared many Dragon-symbols), Bertold was a Hawaiian and Finnii was a small witch. TVs were very surprised when they saw who were their guests at the Party! They were toy celebrities, but they exchanged their famous costumes so that it was more difficult to recognize them !! Do you recognize them all?) They are: 2 Winnie-the-Poohs, one in Roo's costume and one in TattyTeddy's costume, and Roo and TattyTaddy in Pooh's costumes. TVs and the Toys were very glad to meet them!! Then Luffy decided to make some photos with the Barbarians from Terry Pratchett's books: Luffy decided to make a photo with Roo and Winnie the Pooh who exchanged their costumes too: And then the wonders began!!! There came flying a real witch! Luffy could not believe his eyes!!! Everybody was shocked to see the witch! But fortunately she was a very nice and kind witch and Bertold even managed to make a photo with her Then in the middle appered a magic pool!! Everyone was very excited to see what will happen further. Suddenly a small Troll appeared in the pool!!! Though he was small, he had a long nose and an even longer sword. He looked very fearful. But TVs and Toys understood quickly that he was a very nice young Troll. Archibald wanted to get acquanted with him. and so did Luffy too. Then in the pool appeared a Brownie!! Then something small but very dright appeared in the pool!! It was a small BRONZE DRAGON! But he turned out to be a kind dragon Luffy and Archibald wanted to become his friends. The Troll told that this Dragon was his best friend! Then a new character appeared in the pool - it was a bear dressed like a caveman - called Ryka. Finnii liked him so much that she gave him a kiss! First Ryka was surprised but then he stood up and gave Finnii a kiss too Then in the pool appeared a HUGE DRAGON!!! Everybody was frightened and even Luffy and Archibald who sat just by the pool moved away. The only one who was not frightened was the samll bronze Dragon who came to the big one and told that all the Toys are friends. Everyone was happy that the huge Dragon was their friend too!!! And Luffy even dared to make a photo with him!! Everybody liked the Helloween Party and everyone was happy to find so many new friends!!! |

Hello, today I'm leaving Moscow and travelling home to my lovely mentor niftylite. I'm happy cause I hope to get home for Christmas but I'm a bit sad to leave such a big company of TVs that are now here. Here're some last photos from the snowy Moscow We're at the international post office. Kristl hpes that parcels sent from here get to their recipients faster. I wrote my name on the snow to leave something of me here Good bue, Moscow!! And good bue, dear Luffy! Have a nice trip and let us know when you're at home! Love, TVs and Kristl |

OH GOOD LORD!!!
after literally YEARS of being lost - i've FINALLY BEEN FOUND!!! ...in my mentor's old bedroom drawer. niftylite thought she'd lost me, along with my brother brian (who unfortunately sill hasn't been found... *sniff*) but apparently i was home all the time. i must make up for lost time! who will start me off on this new part of my expedition?! |
niftylite Posted Aug 8, 2010, 10:30 am |
today was a great day!! it was my mentor's birthday recently, so for her birthday present her boyfriend took her on one of those SUPER ROMANTIC riverboat lunch tours along the river thames. since it was going to be super romantic - i decided to tag along!! what do they say...? "three's company"?? :-D
we started off at embankment pier, here's me waving goodbye to all the chumps who didnt have tickets for the boat! hahaaa! after we set off, i had a quick look at the menu, which looked GREAT!! ...but apparently i was only allowed tea, so i sat and waited for that to arrive (i like tea!) we saw loads of famous london sights, that i'm sure this one needs no introduction!! this is the london aquarium, the saatchi gallery, and the dali museum! the HMS Belfast... then, after the boatride, we walked along the southbank centre, where we saw this little art installation - a colourful little london made from bricks and toys!!! then we wandered and did some sightseeing... *serious, patriotic face* |
niftylite Posted Aug 10, 2010, 7:36 pm |
today, i went to the london mela - a huuuuge asian culture festival in west london. i was really looking forward to it! i love the dancers' costumes!!! i sat on the grass and watched the bands play... then i laid in the sun and relaxed with my mentor and a few of her friends! i found some giant festival fish!! AAAARGHHH!!!! ..but don't worry! i soon tamed the wild beasties!! then we all rocked out at the main stage! woooo!!! the perfect end to a festival day: double cheese burger! <3 |

Luffy has been (somewhat accidentally) set free into the wild, after finding his way into the bottom of a box marked "FREE STUFF" outside niftylite's home.
here's hoping the family that took him will visit his TV site and send him on his merry way, too!! Good luck Luffy, my little friend!! x |
