I was really excited and can't wait to go outside. This building is my sweet home. Then I found a blue car, a slide, a swing and a seesaw. They all covered under snow. You know I'm an orangutan. I love climbing so much! What do you usually do when it's snowing? Making a snow angel or...to build a snowman? I do enjoy a snowfight! Do you? Haha look at me... ... |

We decided to do some morning reading. Dolly picked a book about America on shelf. The title of the book is 'Greetings from the 50 States, How They Got Their Names.' Haha, It's about Dolly's homeland and we also found her home state: South Carolina on the map. Dolly told me she will go back home soon, wish I could go visit her in South Carolina someday in the future. |

Hi guys,
Guess what! I came to a library. It's actually a small university library. Brilliant! They have online public access catalogue, that would be much easier. You know what kind of book I'm looking for, don't you? Here we go..ummm..Biology...Genetics, Evolution no no...Anthropologist, not here..wait let me check Zoology... So sad I only found one book about primate family in this library. I thought it would be much more. But think about it, this is a university of technology, even doesn't have a major about biology. Wish I could go to a bigger library someday. Reading time! |

The Expo was held at China National Convention Center, very close to the Olympic Park. The presenter was giving a lecture on how to build an environmental friendly city. Umm..interesting but a bit too professional. Why don't we go out to see the Bird's Nest? |

Hello Mum,
I arrived in Sülfeld. Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome. Then he introduced me to his other guests. We decided to take a walk – and met this friendly cow. Next to it there lived a lot of chicken! Autumn is coming – behind me you see Dicker Kumpel’s famous tree. Look, nice red berries! Time to relax on a sunny bench. This was a beautiful river. On our way home we found this big mushroom! Well, maybe I was to big too sit on it! Yours Simão |

We sat together and talked. Suddenly RikeH arrived and brought something for us. What should we do? It was Halloween – and we had to wear scary dresses. This was me, Mum. Really scary! We got some chocolate! And money – I am rich, Mum. It was a funny evening. Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Today I went to a beautiful park. The park belongs to this house. This gate was the entrance. Let’s go. I learnt a lot about the park here. These trees are called the 12 apostles. We were not allowed to take a photo of the Castle, because the way was closed. There was a beautiful obelisk inside the little lake. Dicker Kumpel showed us something interesting. People cooled goods in this house in the Past. On our way back we saw this beautiful graffiti, the church of Sülfeld. And here you see the emblem of Sülfeld. Love Simão |

Hello Mum,
It was Stoker’s 101st birthday today. RikeH had a surprise for him. Can you imagine where we sit? Right – it is a music stand. Stoker LOVEs shanty-music!!! So RikeH brought her songbook… …and he was allowed to choose one of his favourite songs. He was allowed to sit next to the accordion. Then he received his gift. A wonderful mushroom. We spend the rest of the evening sitting around the fire – talking of course. Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We had wonderful weather – time for a walk. Our first stop was in the park of Sülfeld. There was a nice little lake behind me. This was the old school – look, the Christmas Tree is already there. The mayor works here – maybe I will become mayor in the Future. This is the home of the pastor. The pharmacy is inside of an old beautiful building. But the church is the nicest building in the village, I think. And it is old – more than 800 years. A great church! Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Many greetings from Dubai. We arrived yesterday – and today we drove to the Marina – there were great skyscrapers. We jumped into a big yellow rubber boat and started a trip. All these houses were built in the last few years. We drove with the speedboat around the palm of Dubai and stopped at the big hotel Atlantis. Great, wasn’t it? Our next stop was the famous hotel Burj Al Arab. It looked beautiful. On the way back we saw the high houses of the Marina again. After the boat trip we went home with the Metro. We saw the highest building of the world - the Burj Khalifa. Then we were back in our hotel – we had a wonderful Suite! We loved the living room. For the first time in my life I had a dining-area in my hotel-room. Good luck for us – we had something delicious to eat – strawberries with chocolate. There was nice decoration in the room – a vase… … and a treasure chest. Then it was time to go to sleep. This bed was too normal. We preferred this one. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
This is the Coast of Oman. We all relaxed on the balcony and enjoyed the sunshine. In the afternoon I went onto a small traditional boat and we went to a beautiful fjord. Ok, it wasn’t so small – there were many other people onboard. This was the entrance to the fjord. It is called Khor Sham and with 16 km it is the longest fjord here. I really liked it. Beautiful! We sat on comfortable pillows and had delicious drinks. Our boat looked like this one – there were some of them in the fjord. We arrived at the end of the fjord, the mountain behind me was more than 750 meters high. Then we went back – on our way we saw dolphins. It was a nice trip! Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We went to the Oasis-Town Al Ain. We visited an old fortress. Inside it was beautiful, too. I really liked this palm tree. Then we drove to the place, where a sheik lived in the Past. This was the family tree. I liked the buildings – and we were surprised, that the grass was so green. Later we visited a museum – you could see Bedouins in the desert there. This was the museum from the outside - it looked like the fortress. Next to the museum was an Oasis with date palms. I love palms. This was the system for watering the plants. I would have loved to see more of the Oasis, but we had to drive back to the ship. On the way back we drove through the desert. They grew plants next to the street, so the sand cannot go over the streets. Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Another new country for me – it is Bahrain. Bahrain is a small country. First I visited the museum of Bahrain. You saw big drawings here – they showed how it looked in the Past. So much water – I was surprised. Today it is a dry country and has a desert. In the museum they built a typical building for Bahrain. Men dress like this today. Pearl diving is important for the country. Look – a beautiful old car – but you see not many of it in the streets today. We walked around the museum and saw nice sculptures. I liked this building. Yours Simão IV |

After visiting the museum we went to the Fort of Bahrain. It is really important – and it is a World Heritage Side. I will enter it soon. This is a beautiful way. We had a great view over the archaeological excavation and the modern city in the background. I wanted to see more of the Fort. You can see the difference between the old and the new time here. I visited some camels, it was funny! I went close to the Camels and we talked a lot. Look, a Mum and a Child. It was a nice place! Then we went to the Formula-1-Track of Bahrain. Behind me you can see the plan of it. This was the grandstand. Here you can see it from the other side. This is the way to the Pit-Stop. You can see the skid marks. This is the Pit-Stop number 31. Behind me you see the place for the award ceremony. Instead of Champagne they get rose-water to celebrate. Then we went onto the race track. It was really interesting. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
It was a day on the sea – I had a look from the balcony. To the other side I saw the chimney… I went inside and talked with my friends – what should we do? We knew, where the good drinks were! There! But they were high above us, what shall we do? Good news – Stoker can fly, so he flew to the drinks… …threw it to us and jumped back to us. We brought it back to our place and everybody chose his or her famous drink. Look, what I chose. And I took some delicious chocolate! Well – it was fun – I shouldn’t say more. Yours Simão IV |

It’s the 24th of December – time to celebrate Christmas here in Germany. I helped decorating the tree. I loved the nice things from RikeH, especially the small wooden things. And these were my favorite balls for the tree. Look, people can create wonderful things out of wood. Then we went to Dicker Kumpel’s Grandma. This looked yummy! Nice candles. A beautiful Christmas tree. The cake was so yummy. Bye Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Today I visited a town called Ahrensburg. Behind me you can see the ugly townhall. Let’s go to the nicer buildings here – this was the Castle. This stone is a memorial for the end of the serfdom. This church belongs to the Castle. I went into it. I loved this angel. And the beautiful altar. What a beautiful little church. Next to it there were small houses – in the Past poor people lived in it. This was a strange monument – the people here don’t like it. I think it is funny! Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We visited a place called Bad Oldesloe. Normally the wheel moves with water, no idea, why it stopped today. There are some nice houses next to the river. The house behind me is an old-people-home. This is the nice church. This is a marketing thing – people should buy in the shops here – and not in the web. Wow, the river has a lot of water at the moment. Normally you can stand there, where the foam is now. Well, no problem, I found more beautiful houses. This is the market-place with the town-hall and other nice buildings. Bad Oldesloe is a nice small town. Love Simao |

I went to Hamburg – this is the town hall. What a beautiful door! And a nice old letterbox. Then I was inside the town hall. I went into a kind of patio o fit – with a big fountain. Unfortunately without water, because it was too cold. We found a great place inside of the town hall. Then I went outside and had this great view. On the left side you see the Alsterarkaden. A view back to the townhall. This is a lake inside the town called Alster. There was still ice on the water. Yours Simão IV |

Next to it there was something amazing – a rock painting – I didn’t expect to see it here in Norway. Look - a big icicle. I crossed the street and had this great view. Normally I don’t like photos of driving in the car. But the streets in Norway are different. The people here – and we of course – just drive on the ice. I love snowy mountains… …and the colorful houses. Well you see me better than the houses… The people there have great views out of their windows. Then we arrived in Sommaroya. The village wasn’t very exciting, but they had a nice parking lot. You see the wonderful nature from it. It was a nice trip. Yours Simão IV |

Hi Mum,
The weather changed – it is better now – and the view from our deck is much nicer now. There were beautiful trees here. 4 We took a trip to Ersfjordbotn. It was beautiful. They dry fish next to the house. This was funny. Back at home Rike went to the lake with us – the snow was high and it was a hard walk. You can see the house behind me. It was nice next to the lake – and we saw some ice there. The sticker on the car was funny. In the evening we sat next to the fireplace and told us stories. Yours Simao |

Hello Mum,
In the morning I saw nice colors during the sunset. Later we drove to Tromsö. I went into the town-center with beautiful wooden houses. I loved the view of the water and the mountains. There were many expeditions to the North Pole that started here in Tromsö. This was a monument for it. More nice houses in the town. And the wonderful church. Look a wonderful view to the colorful houses… …and the big bridge. Can you see this ship? It is a ship of the Hurtigruten – on Monday we will go onboard of one of it. Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
My short cruise started – and I had a nice view of Tromsö. We will be under this bridge soon. They had funny lights on the ship. Then we had the Polar light over us – and no more time for photos. But I can show you one of yesterday evening. You cannot see it that good on my photo – I show you a photo of Dicker Kumpel and the Polar light. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We were on the water – and it was stormy. But we saw the sun between the clouds. It really looked like winter. Somewhere there behind the hills should be Harvoysund. But first I had another look forwards. There was the village. With many colorful houses… Then we continued to the North Cape! This was our famous place in the cabin. Sadly the motion of the sea and the wind was too bad – we had wind force 11 and the shipping company decided to change the route. Our next stop was Hammerfest. I liked this monument. And these arches with the Polar bears nice. It was very windy. On the sign behind me I read, that it was the northernmost city of the world. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Yesterday evening we reached Alta. Today we took the bus into the city – and here you see the only interesting building in the city. It is called polar light cathedral. I can imagine that it looks wonderful during nights with polar lights reflecting in the walls. And I liked it inside. Then we walked through Alta – there was an Igloo here, but it was not many left of it. This guy produced shingles. Maybe you can get water here during the summer time – but not at this time of the year. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Our ship went back to Tromsö. Look, there were icicles on the ship. On the sign we read what to do when there will be a man over board. Luckily everybody stayed on board. This is the route of the post ships. We only tried to use a small part – and didn’t do it, because of the weather. There was a big tugboat in the harbour. I built a snowman. This was the flag of the ship. Some hours later we arrived in Öksfjord. The surrounding looked beautiful. But again it was stormy and we had dark clouds. The weather changed every few minutes here. This was Öksfjord. It was a nice holiday here in Norway – unfortunately the ship wasn’t as good as we hoped. Yours Simao |

Hello Mum,
Today we went to Bad Segeberg. There was a big lake. We had lunch in this small house. There were many fallen trees on our way – this one felt into the lake. And this one was cut, because it felt over the way around the lake. On our way back we saw this nice monument. And a helicopter – there is a hospital close to this place. This was the church… … and a place with y nice fountain. Look, this tree was wonderful! Another big old building. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
In the afternoon we celebrated Dicker Kumpel’s birthday. We wished him a happy birthday and sang a song for him. He loved the couch that Murph gave him as a birthday present. We played soccer, because it was EM! It was fun. Then we went on the swings… …and into the sandbox. I had a great place. Then we sat in the sunshine and talked a lot. Oups, nobody should see this – we took some drinks with us. Cheers! Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We are in the North of Europe. And who lives here? Correct – the Vikings! So we visited a museum of Vikings. The church looked beautiful. I was so brave – and we took a photo of this Viking and me. This was a scary sacrifice place. I liked the wonderful houses. We looked at the boats! This is the place where they are during the winter time. On our way back we stopped at a mountain. This looked steep. What will be there on the top? There was a nice big stone. The Danish flag is everywhere. There were strange signs on the other side of the stone. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Time for a party- it was called a Halloween-Party. We celebrate it now, because we won’t be at home at Halloween. Wow – a basket full of sweets. This was our place for this evening. Nice flowers, great confetti and sweets! Yummy and scary sweets! We all found something nice. I chose a funny mouth. Then Kleine Fee showed us a game. Well it looked like chocolate. Before Kleine Fee explained the rules, I played with the funny eyes. We had to play a memory game. There were 5 different pairs. This looked difficult – we cannot see the images on the front anymore. I tried it – no pair – bad luck. After 10 rounds I found one pair - and I didn’t won. Well – Kleine Fee told us, that it was an easy game, because we could have looked at the different colors. I think that she is very intelligent, no one of us 4 players had that idea! Let’s change the Topic…..What was this? It was getting darker. Wow – a big pumpkin! There were other great shadow-creatures. A big skull – but I was brave! It was funny – a shadow of Stoker. It was a wonderful party! Yours Simao |

Hi Mum,
I am in Australia and it was time to see the red earth of Australia. We took a guided tour and were 4 human guests, the guide and we TVs, enough space for all of us in the car. Our first stop was Broad Arrow – you can see a water tower behind me. There was a pub – the Australian people leave the town to have a drink in the outback. Really strange. I looked at the map – where we will be today. Then we arrived in Menzies – a small village. But it had a nice tour with funny sculptures. Can you see us on the camel? This was the typical landscape here. Look, some nice old machines. The town hall of Menzies. This side looked great – with a photo of the people in the Past. This was the bakery. I liked the beautiful flowers. Wow – a cool motorbike – I had a great ride on it. This was our goal of the day – the Lake Ballard with 51 statues- we are so curious. I had a great seat in the car. This looked adventurous. Then we arrived at the Lake Ballard – a salt lake with a small hill in it. There were 51 of these art works all over the lake. They should show people out of the region – only smaller and a little different to their normal appearance. We shouldn’t have go here, when there would have been rain in the last days. It looked great! I had a nice view from here. This was exciting – and this was the landscape next to the lake. We stopped in this pub on our way back to Kalgoorlie. Maybe you have to do this on an Australian tour…we had lemon lemonade. yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We drove to the Torndirrup Nationalpark. First we stopped for the view over Albany. This viewing point is called The Gap. Oh – they build an exciting platform there. I was so brave – it was high about the sea level. We were able to look through the platform. Beautiful! This was a Natural Bridge. We had a great view from here. And we learnt a lot about different kind of rocks. These rocks were nice. From the Jimmy Newhills Lookout I saw the ‚secret‘ haven. This plant was great! There was a round way on the Stony hill. This plant next to me was funny and very tall. The rocks on the hill looked beautiful! And we had a nice view. Can you see the small people on the rock? We were on the left side during the last hours – now we will drive to the right side. I am on the beach yet. It was a great day in the National Park! Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Time for another beach. However – this one should be cleared for the summer – it was a lot of seaweed on it. But the color of the sea was beautiful! Then we went to high Dunes. The Australians have their own sense of humor. This sign is for drivers, who stuck in the sand. This looked beautiful. The small points on the Dune are humans – they drive on sand boards there. I would have loved to drive in this sand buggy, but I wasn’t able to reach the accelerator. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
These funny formations are called Pinnacles. You can find them in different sizes. I really like it here. These ones were very tall. And it was very windy here. It was a great trip through this scenery. We saw many Pinnacles from this viewpoint – and many tourists. In the evening we went to Cervantes’s beach. Soon we will be back in dear old and cold Germany - so we had to enjoy the blue sky and the high temperatures. There were fishing-boats on the ocean. love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
I am on the Amrum Island with my friend Dicker Kumpel. There was a nice plank roadway. And surely the way went into the Dunes. The signs showed different nice places here. This is a wonderful lake in the Dunes. The sky looked wonderful! It looked great into all directions. I like Dunes! Hey – there is the lighthouse. There were more small lakes between the Dunes. I came from there… It will look great when the plants are blooming. At home we sat on the beach chair and looked at the Kniepsand. It is beautiful! And I liked the tree in the garden. Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Today we went to Bad Oldesloe - a small town near to Sülfeld. We walked through the spa gardens. This small lake looked beautiful. I felt like being at home – look – a salt spring. It should have been here – but the view was nice. We had a break in the forest. This was the sign of the salt lake. Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Today we visited Murph and his friends. We were so happy! Dicker Kumpel had a present for Murph! Murph called us! What an exciting object! We had to wait for the darkness. We spent this time with talking and eating Easter eggs. It was still too light. It became better. What a wonderful sphere! The next day we had to say good-bye. What a wonderful visit! Love Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
We were in the Wisentgehege in Springe. Wisents and other animals live here. We started with the birds. Wow, they looked great! Then I found the wisents. What a nice house – I would love to live in it. We were very close to these deer. The other family was far away! Look – little pigs. Well – you can see it better on Dicker Kumpel's photo. Do you know these animals? Sure – raccoons. The wild horses were in a strange mood. It was a nice day here! Yours Simão IV |

Hello Mum,
Today I visited Hildesheim – a beautiful small town. Here you see it in small. This is a strange house here. It is called Zuckerhut – just like the street, where I live at the moment. Look, the St. Michaelis church. We went inside. What a beautiful ceiling. Near to the church there was this strange statue. Scary!!! Then we went to the Hildesheim Cathedral. Sure we went into it. There was a beautiful garden next to it. Behind me you see the famous rose of Hildesheim. It was nice here. What a funny person – sitting on another man. We arrived at the marketplace – with so many beautiful buildings. You should visit Hildesheim – it is beautiful here. Yours Simão IV |
