Hi Mom! I arrived in Chicago today!! Can you believe it? Here I am with my new friends. JanieKat is leaving for a big adventure in California soon so we took a group photo together. My host said she was very happy to get the wonderful gifts you sent with me. |

Happy Mother's Day! Here I am visiting the Des Plaines River. We took a nice walk today in the forest preserve. All of a sudden, it sure has gotten hot and humid here in Chicago. When I first arrived, I was freezing. |

Here's the Chicago River. Can you believe they dye the river green for St. Patrick's Day?! It already looks green to me... |

How do you like these pretty flowers I found on Michigan Avenue? I'm playing hide and seek. |

We stopped for a yummy vanilla soy chai latte before we had to start work. |

After a long morning of hard work, I'm starving. Here we have a delicious rice bowl with tofu and veggies from Chipolte. |

Today I had a treat, but I promise to be good and not to eat too many sweets. |
inamerica8 Posted May 16, 2014, 2:42 am |
Look ma, I'm eating my vegetables. This is my friend Mr. Quack. |

This is an old house that is in Batavia. It's an old town from the 1800s on the Fox River. I think it would be a lovely house to call my own. |
inamerica8 Posted Jun 2, 2014, 2:10 am |
Isn't this cool? |
inamerica8 Posted Jun 2, 2014, 2:12 am |
This was actually a bank established in 1856. It looks like it can only fit two people in it. But I wonder why it is called Coffin Bank? That seems a little creepy. |

This is the Batavia train depot. Now it's a museum. |

Here I am with my TV friends who went on the road trip with me - Mr. Quack, Chrissi and MiniMoo. |

I took a ride on this beautiful carousel. This mall (Charlestowne) where the carousel was had two floors but only five stores in it. That's boring. |

Is there really a headless horseman that lives here? I think I better get going before it gets dark... |
inamerica8 Posted Jan 15, 2015, 3:21 am |
I hope I didn't scare you. I wasn't able to update my travels since the ToyVoyagers site was down. I know my last post was about a headless horseman but luckily I never saw him.
Today, I had a lot of fun. I decided to ride the Ferris wheel. It was kind of scary at first because it is really high off the ground. This place is called Navy Pier and it's a big tourist attraction where lots of people like to ride in boats on the river. |
inamerica8 Posted Jan 15, 2015, 3:23 am |
It was so hot today, I stopped for a swim at the Ohio Street Beach. |
inamerica8 Posted Jan 15, 2015, 3:24 am |
I like this photo. I am in front of the big city-well, downtown Chicago. |
inamerica8 Posted Jan 15, 2015, 3:27 am |
How do you like these flowers?
I am sorry I didn't write for so long but as you know the ToyVoyagers site was down for a long time so I didn't have any chance to write. If you want me to come home now, just let me know. |
