See the wind engine in the Background? I'm so sad that they are going to build 5 of them on the hill.
Don't get me wrong, renewable energy is awesome, but not here. It isn't worth it here. |

Hello mom!
Today I was in the theater in Schweinfurt. It was a stage play called "Rot" (Red). It's about the artist Mark Rothko (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Rothko). It's a play with only two men and the principal actor is a famous actor in Germany. We go to the left door inside. It begins soon. The actor is on the stage yet. Pssst! It was a great evening! Kiss, Jules |
beelicious Posted Nov 26, 2013, 11:53 am |

Because the weather is fine we made a little tour through the vineyards near Volkach.
The river is called "Main" and this is the "Mainschleife" (the river is here very winding). I see this historical grape press. The view is very lovely! It was a great day! Jules |

Hello Mummy,
today was an exhausting but wonderful day. We've set up the Christmas tree! Heave-ho! Phew! At first the fairy lights. This year we take colorful, glittering and gleaming christmas balls. Hostmum calls it "Las Vegas Christmas tree" .... Done! But in the light the tree looks not so good… Ah! Better! It was a wonderful day! Greetings, Jules |

Hi Mom!
Holiday! We make a week holiday near the city of Luebeck! 8 hours with 2 hours traffic jam later we have arrived in our holiday home. It's already dark and we are so tired! |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 1:36 pm |
My first day in Lindow.
Lindow is a tiny village in the northwest from Mecklenburg Western Pomerania. The city of Luebeck are 15 km from here. This is our holiday home (where the door is open). It's a thatched cottage from 1875! I think it's beautiful! |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 2:00 pm |
Here I'm in Kluetz.
This windmill is a restaurant that I could buy. Can you lend me some money ? This trunk of this tree is amazing! |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 2:21 pm |
Now I'm in the city of Wismar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wismar).
Since 2002 is Wismar a UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This is "Wasserkunst" (water art, waterworks) from 1602. |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 4:49 pm |
Today I visit the city of Luebeck (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%BCbeck) Luebeck is know for marzipan. A famous german novelist is from here: Thomas Mann (Buddenbrooks). This is the landmark of Luebeck: the "Holstentor" (Holsten Gate). The historic part of Luebeck is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Behind me the old town. |
beelicious Posted Jan 9, 2014, 10:14 am |
Today finally the weather is nice and the sun is shining.
We make a trip the the Baltic Sea by Boltenhagen. We relax and look at the sea. This is sea buckthorn. This shrub is typical of the Baltic Sea. |
beelicious Posted Jan 9, 2014, 10:52 am |
Today I visit the State capital of Mecklenburg - Vorpommern Schwerin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwerin). St-Paul's-Church This is the "Arsenal". Schwerin has many little lakes. This is the "Pfaffenteich". Right is the cathedral of Schwerin. This is the Schwerin Castle (Parliament of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). Here can you see the State museum. Left is the theater. |
beelicious Posted Jan 9, 2014, 11:18 am |
Our holiday is almost over…. Today I was on the Baltic Sea and I drove with a ferry at Travemünde. |

Hi Mommy!
Now it's time to travel further! I say goodbye to my TV friends. Berlin! I'm coming! Bye, Jules |
visit BERLIN Posted Feb 9, 2014, 11:12 am |
...long time no see. You may remember: I was on my way to the next host - in Berlin! And with me the winter arrived in Berlin too! Snow, minus temperatures, frozen sea and canals... I was on a walk through this hibernal scenery and met another ToyVoyager! Her name is Susy and she's so lovely! I really enjoyed her presence! |
visit BERLIN Posted Feb 9, 2014, 11:28 am |
But I am not in Berlin for seeing snow... I want to see the buildings and sights! And today we had sunny weather here. So me and my host we had a great trip through the city! We saw the old facade of the 'Anhalter Bahnhof' (it's from 1841), the Potsdam Square and the Brandenburg Gate (1791)! |
visit BERLIN Posted Feb 9, 2014, 11:55 am |
We also visited the Reichstag building which was opened in 1894. Sadly - maybe happily - Miss Merkel had no time to say "Hello!" to me. Instead we had a wonderful view of the TV-Tower from the back of the building where the 'Spree' flows. |
visit BERLIN Posted Mar 14, 2014, 5:45 pm |
...The calendar says it's still winter outside. But look at the pictures: We have wonderful weather! The whole day sun and nice temperatures! Even the busdriver was in a good mood and gave me a free ride to our first stop: A small observatory! Of course we couldn't watch the stars but I laid on the grass, enjoyed the sun and tried to imagine the dimension of... yeah... of what we call life! The universe, the stars, the planets, our earth... Think about what they might find some day in the deeps of the darkness outside our planet! |
visit BERLIN Posted Mar 14, 2014, 5:59 pm |
After my strange thoughts about the universe... ...we had a walk through a park and visited a Second World War Memorial. ...Hope all people will life in peace someday! |
visit BERLIN Posted Mar 14, 2014, 6:11 pm |
In the afternoon my host had shown me a small port at a river called "Spree" - you may remember: The river which also flows behind the Reichstag Building. ...The day was over too fast!
...At this point I want to send some greetings to my mum! :X |
visit BERLIN Posted Apr 13, 2014, 11:25 pm |
Some days ago another ToyVoyager came to Berlin. His name is Paul and he's kind of famous! He's the oracle of the 2010 World Cup! ...What a man - I mean octopus! ...Please don't tell anybody but I think I have a crush on him. Today I met him at the Estrel Hotel and have shown him some places together with my host. Again we visited the Potsdam Square but also had a look at the German Chancellery. Beside Paul the Victory Column was my personal highlight this day. |
visit BERLIN Posted Apr 21, 2014, 5:08 pm |
Wednesday I had a phone call: Paul was asking me to squire him to Stralsund. I was THAT happy! He loves water - me too. So Stralsund was a great idea because it's situated at the Southern coast of the Strelasund, a sound of the Baltic Sea. |
visit BERLIN Posted Apr 21, 2014, 5:19 pm |
We had a comfortable walk through the whole city and have seen many things. For example a lovely windmill or the Rügen Bridge - the longest bridge in Germany. |
visit BERLIN Posted Apr 21, 2014, 5:26 pm |
We had a lot of fun! ...and when we were driving home my host had some news for me. ...I will go to the United States in two days! I'm kind of nervous now but I am sure it will be fantastic there! |
sp16212 Posted Apr 30, 2014, 9:53 pm |
I've arrived in New York on a windy, rainy day. I'm a little damp, but my host gave me a towel to wrap myself in. I look forward to seeing the sights of NYC very soon! |
sp16212 Posted May 4, 2014, 12:17 am |
I took a short trip to Silver Lake Park in Baldwin, Long Island. There is a lovely lake being enjoyed by my fellow ducks. There are also war memorials here honoring soldiers who served in WW I and WW II. Memorial Day is later this month and there will be a parade to honor soldiers from the community. |

sp16212 Posted May 12, 2014, 2:21 am |
I'm taking the train to my first NY Mets baseball game. Ducks ride for free on the Long Island Rail Road! Here I am at Woodside, waiting for the famous 7 train to take me to Citi Field. |
sp16212 Posted May 12, 2014, 2:26 am |
Outside Citi Field, Home of the NY Mets! This ballpark replaced Shea Stadium. |
sp16212 Posted May 12, 2014, 2:31 am |
Here I am sporting a new NY Mets charm! For lunch, I had a turkey sub with fresh mozzarella and gravy and a seafood basket with clams, shrimp, cod and scallops. I'm stuffed! |
sp16212 Posted May 12, 2014, 2:38 am |
Before the game, we visited the tribute to Jackie Robinson. He wore number 42. If you squint, you can see me in the 4! The game was fun! My new favorite baseball team, the NY Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies! |
sp16212 Posted May 12, 2014, 2:42 am |
On the train home from the ball game, I noticed this ad for Drake's Cakes. A drake is a male duck and they apparently make yummy cakes. I'm thinking Yodels. |
sp16212 Posted May 15, 2014, 3:43 am |
Check me out! I'm getting ready for the Subway Series! My Mets defeated the Yankees two games to none! More baseball to come... |
sp16212 Posted May 15, 2014, 3:55 am |
I'm in Manhattan to see the sights and a Broadway show. Near Penn Station is this ad for the Subway Series and the NY Mets. Not far in the distance is the Empire State Building. I would go up to the observatory, but there's no time--I've got to get to a matinee! |
sp16212 Posted May 15, 2014, 4:05 am |
Times Square is a crowded, noisy place! So many tourists! But there's so much to see. The theater district is here, so I'm going to see a play called, "The Realistic Joneses." It stars Marisa Tomei, Toni Colette, Michael C. Hall and Tracy Letts. I'm also going to look around to see what other shows are playing. |
sp16212 Posted May 15, 2014, 4:09 am |
After a really good play, we stopped by 5 Napkin Burger for a bite to eat. Doesn't this look delicious? |
sp16212 Posted May 15, 2014, 4:18 am |
On the walk to Penn Station to catch the train back to Long Island, I got a really good view of the Empire State Building. Last night it was lit up in orange and blue lights for the Mets. Gotta get home in time for the first pitch of tonight's game. Let's Go Mets! |
sp16212 Posted May 17, 2014, 3:48 am |
Tonight, I got dressed up in my red headband to see a concert at Jazz at Lincoln Center. The venue is actually at the Time Warner Center, which overlooks Columbus Circle. One of the performance spaces also overlooks Columbus Circle. While you listen to the music, you can watch the flow of traffic down below. A wonderful experience! |
sp16212 Posted May 17, 2014, 3:53 am |
Jazz at Lincoln Center: after the concert, I saw an exhibition about Dave Brubeck. Take Five, man! |
sp16212 Posted May 17, 2014, 4:06 am |
After the concert, I went out and enjoyed a bowl of gnocchi and a glass of tart strawberry-rhubarb soda. |
sp16212 Posted May 18, 2014, 9:46 pm |
I'm taking a trip to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts to see a Tony-nominated play called, "Act One." This is a beautiful place! Here I am in front of the Metropolitan Opera House and fountain. Everyone is dressed up for an opera, ballet, concert or play. I'm wearing a festive blue bonnet! |
sp16212 Posted May 18, 2014, 9:52 pm |
Lincoln Center: outside the Vivian Beaumont Theater and the Juilliard School. Lincoln Center fountain at night. |
sp16212 Posted May 27, 2014, 12:27 am |
Today is Memorial Day. It's a time to honor our servicemen, veterans and those who paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedom. Today, there is a parade and I wanted to thank the soldiers and veterans. Many schools and community groups participated in the parade, too. |
