Hello! My name is Tuffy and I am a little dog who was rescued from a clearance bin at a Tuesday Morning store. My owner found me at the bottom of the pile shivering and scared. She said there was no way she could leave me there, so she bought me. I would like to travel and see the world. If you would like to host me please PM my owner.
Woof, Woof! Tuffy |

Today we said goodbye to Winnie the Pooh. His trip in New York was over and he's heading to Colorado. We wished him well and told him to have a good trip. Maybe we will meet again someday!
Good Luck Winnie the Pooh! |

A new TV arrived today! We couldn't wait to found out who it was. Our host opened the envelope and Fuzz Bear was inside. We all shouted "hello Fuzz Bear!" Luckily it didn't seem to frighten him. We told him that he arrived on the right day because we had special plans tonight. |

Michele and her husband told us that since we have been so well behaved lately they were taking us somewhere special. We have no idea where we could be going, but we are SO excited! |
Michele_one_L Posted Apr 28, 2008, 10:02 pm |
We all got in the car still not knowing where we were going. Finally we arrived and all we could see was a fence and a couple of parked cars. Michele and Daryl told us that the place didn't seem to be opened yet and that we had to wait.
We were all getting hungry while waiting. Luckily Michele and Daryl packed dinner and snacks for everyone. |
Michele_one_L Posted Apr 28, 2008, 11:05 pm |
Finally after almost an hour of waiting the line started to move. Michele got to the booth and there was a lady in there. The lady told Michele, "That will be $14 and it's on the second screen." A screen? Finally Michele told us that we were at the Drive In! We were going to see "Horton Hears a Who!" We started cheering and shouting, we were so excited!
We were waiting for the movie to begin and it started to rain! Michele said we weren't leaving just because it was raining. Hopefully it was going to be short. Sadly the rain didn't stop, it continued through the whole movie. We made the best of the situation and enjoyed the movie. We loved "Horton Hears a Who!" |

Honey Bear and Piggy wanted to take a bath today so we decided to watch. Michele told us not to get too close or we might fall in.

Michele_one_L Posted Apr 29, 2008, 12:53 am |
We were waiting for them when their bath was over. Honey Bear came out and he looked so happy to be clean.
Piggy didn't seem as happy as Honey Bear. Honey Bear couldn't wait for the dryer. He says this is his favorite part because it makes his belly fluffy. |

Also leaving today was Nicki Bear, Horton and Little Billy. The expirenced TV's gave me some words of encouragment. We said our goodbyes and wished each other well. Maybe we'll meet agan someday! |

I'm on a first class flight to California.
Woof Woof... |
pollunga Posted Apr 30, 2008, 11:01 pm |
Today I arrived in California. My new host was afraid she wasn't going to be able to get me for a few more days because the post office lost one of her packages and she thought it was me! But it wasn't, thank goodness, or else she said she'd have to go have a talk with the post master and give him a piece of her mind.
Anyways, I was greeted right away by the other TV's here, they are all very nice. I will post some pictures soon! Right now I am going to go rest from my trip. California is getting hot already and the warm afternoons make you just want to nap the day away. |
pollunga Posted May 1, 2008, 3:34 am |
After I got settled in and took a nap, the other TV's and I decided to make some banana bread. We had some trouble stirring since the bowl was bigger than us, but we made it work.
While the bread was baking, we put all of the ingredients away and cleaned up the kitchen. It's rude to leave a mess. Samantha Turtle was amazing with broom, I don't know how she managed it since her feet weren't even touching the ground. After pigging out on banana bread, I challenged the kitten to a wrestling match. Tomorrow Ishah might put me into gaurd dog training. I can't wait!! |

The last fews days have been pretty uneventful. Ishah has been working a lot and writing on her final paper for her history class. Honestly I think she'd get a lot more done if she'd stop watching CSI marathons.
Anyways, Ishah sat Bear and I down together the other day. We didn't know what to expect! We were both a bundle of nerves. Did she have a surprise for us? Some food? A food surprise? No! It was something better! She announced that Bear was going to start teaching me to be a guard dog! I was excited! Bear was a little concerned... I couldn't wait to get started! I was hoping that's first we'd chase some of the loud neighbor kids, or bark for hours on end at random noises from outside, or growl menacingly whenever we were approached unawares... But Bear said that being a guard dog isn't all about tearing deserving people to shreds. It's about making your family safe and knowing when to be scary and when to turn on the puppy-eyes and act like you are starving to death. Already I am learning so much! We ended up starting out with some basic jaw-strength exercises. I thought it went rather well. I got worn out pretty fast. Bear is really strong! He weighs almost as much as Ishah. Which, you know, isn't THAT much because she's nearly perfect. I am off to rest now. Maybe I will go try my new techniques on the other TV's... |

I did it! I became a guard dog! It as so awesome! It happened like this:
After days of training and taking my vitamins I built up enough strength that I could easily take on an evil opponent if need be! I was also counseled by the wise fat cat of the house on how to control my emotions. Guard dogs have to be tough as bricks! Then the other day Bear and I heard a suspicious sound at the door! So we barked and barked and alerted the household. I ran to the back door to secure the rest of the house, when I saw an intruder sneaking out the back trying to steal Ishah's watermelon!! I gave chase! He ran but I knew I could catch him, the thief! I caught up with him and just like Bear taught me, I grabbed his ankle and pulled him to the ground! Then I went straight for the neck, luckily the fat cat had taught me self control and I didn't kill the guy! I held him until the police arrived and took him away. It was a great day! I protected the house alongside Bear and saved the watermelon! I am an official guard dog now, with a collar and everything! Bear and I shared a huge dinner, which was good but kind of gross since his fur sticks to the drool in his bowl. Gave the dog food a nice texture though. Mmm. |

We went to San Fransisco last weekend and it was fun but crazy windy! The gusts were so strong that we stayed snuggled up in Ishah's bag so we didn't get blown away! I got to see Alcatraz and China Town though. The drive there was fun too. We sung along to Ishah's husband's terrible music that he insisted we listen to.

I helped Ishah make a cake for her husband's birthday. It was "Funfetti" flavored with all these rainbow sprinkles in it. Yum. I also assisted in wrapping his present. It was a gallon jug of Tabasco sauce because he puts Tabasco on everything. It's kind of gross. Later that night we had a barbecue, it seems to be the only thing they eat here once the weather turns nice. I have gotten a little fat myself from eating so many hamburgers.

We went mini-golfing for Ishah's husband's birthday. Guess who else was there? Horton! Ishah's friend is hosting him! We played some golf, but mainly watched everyone make fools of themselves trying to get a hole-in-one. No one did.
We met some ducks while we were there and they kept sticking their butts up at us. The little houses and castles were just the right size for us voyagers! We weren't able to find a way in though. |

Let's see......there's Jadzia Tam, TheOutsider, Fester, Sully Monster, and a giraffe and goldfish who do not have names yet! Well, it is late, and we are all tuckered out! John says that there are some kind of lessons in my future....woot! |

Ok, so one of my goals is to learn how to play dead, right? Ok, so, I went online and looked on the interweb about how to do it. But all I could find was a lot of stuff about dog training. I don't want to do anything like that. It sounds like work.
Ok, so next I did an image search of dogs who were playing dead. I saw a lot of them. But it looks so uncomfortable to lay on your back like that! I like to lay on my stomach or side. When I fall asleep, my mouth usually flops open, and I drool a little. I'm not afraid to admit it. But what I am afraid of, is if I lay down on my back outside sometime, and I fall asleep, then it starts to rain, I might drown! Ok, so then I did a search on dog psychiatry. I have issues. I made an appointment. The lady sounded nice on the phone. She said they would accept my Afhack insurance program, with only a 95% copay required from me. So, it all sounded good. But when I got there, it was terrible. The Dr. said I wasn't allowed on the couch. So, I managed to find my way home to the current hosts I am living with. One of them saw how sad and upset I was, and picked me up. Then they started tickling my tummy! Heeheehee, it was fun! Next thing I new, I was upside down, with my legs pointing up in the air. Look, I got pictures! Ok, so, now all I have to do when I want to "play dead", is to remember getting tickled on my tumtum. Life mission completed! |
