Hi Mom,

today I arrived in Germany!!! :D
I got to meet my new host Susie's at her office.
But I wasn't the only one that got here today. There is also Virgo who came here from England.
The both of us are Susie's first toyvoyagers to host ever.

When we got to her home after work there was a surprise-welcome party going on for us. There were so many of them and they were just there to welcome us.  :cyclops:
The party was so fantastic. We trank lemonade and had lots of chocolate. *yummy*  :D

Tomorrow I'll spend the day with Susie (the teddybear you can see in the picture) and Poschti who is a TV himself and will start his very first journey by the end of this week (he told me he is going to Sweden). They wanna show me there home and tell me all about it.

I'm going to bed now.

Bye Mom, I send you kisses from Germany.

Good Evening Mommy,

it's me again with a very short update.
My new host Susie's wanted us to meet her mom. So we went there in the evening. We hung out in the yard for a bit and got to meet two little cuties (of course not in the yard). One of them is called "little angel". Guess which one it is.  ;)

Hi Mommy,

how are you? I'm doing pretty good.  :D
Host mom's Toyvoyager Poschti was supposed to show us his home so we get to know the place better.
But it was the day before he left to go on his first journey.
So he was very excited and was running around in circles all day (instead of showing us his home).

This morning he left and we all said goodbye.
After he was gone we explored host mom's home by ourself.

And that was my day.
But I heard hostmom saying something about going somewhere tomorrow....

Good Morning Mom,  *yawn* B)

yesterday I was out all night in Aschaffenburg/Bavaria to paaaaaaaaaaarty!  :cyclops:
We even went to a karaoke bar. Unfortunately there are no pictures of me singing cause it was pretty dark in that place.  :(
But there are a few other pictures.
I will tell you more about it was soon as I can.

Hi Mommy,

like I already mentioned yesterday, I was out allllll night on friday.  :cyclops:
Host mom took me to a bachelorette party. That's a tradition in Germany. The future bride usually has to dress up silly and then goes out to party and to have a drink or two or three with her girls.  ;)
To afford the party and the drinks the bride has to sell small things.

In our case it went like this: first of all it was a surprise for the future bride. We all came to her house and made her dress up in a silly, old bridal dress, then we drove to Aschaffenburg/Bavaria. There we walked up and down downtown(in the shopping district) and helped her selling the stuff we brought (we had pens, babysocks, sweets, small games, plastic cups with straws for kids and much more). When she was done selling we had dinner at a traditionel, old, bavarian Brewery called Schlappeseppel (founded in the year 1803).
After dinner we went to a karaoke bar. Unfortunately there are no pictures of me really singing because it was pretty dark in that place. We had so much fun there singing (some german songs) and dancing till two in the morning.  :)
By now I still try to recover from that night because to be honest I had a dring or two myself.  :cyclops:

And for now I won't do much more than enjoying the sunny sunday.

Have a nice sunday yourself Mom.

PS I got to see some beautiful old buildings  inculding castle at night.

Hey there,

today we (Hostmum, Virgo and me) went for a walk in Bad Homburg. Isn't the scenery beautiful? The blue sky, the golden cornfield and the green hills in the background (they are called Taunus). We even came by some roman ruins its called Villa Ober-Eschbach.

In the evening we helped Susie's to prepare a game for a wedding. We painted a biiiiig heart on an old bedsheet.
On the day of the wedding bride and groom will each get a pair of scissors and cut out the heart together. When they are done the groom has to lift up the bride in his arms and they have to step through the heart together. Dosen't that sound sweet?  :D

Good Night Mom

Hoe gaat het met jou?

And again we spent some time in Bad Homburg. Our host had to go to the library (and had to pay late fee  ;) ) I took the opportunity and taught Susie's some dutch.  :D
She also wanted to show us the local castle (it was built in 1679-1686 by Earl Friedrich II.) On the way we came by one Catholic church St. Marien (which is famous for it's bells and it's ringing) and one Protestant church called Erlöserkirche (built in 1903-1908).

Buh...... and it was so hot today, it it suppose to get even hotter till the weekend.  B)

Hello my dear Mummy,

on Thursday I did something extraordinary. I went to a Tabledancebar!!!  :D Since they wachted us like hawks, we couldn't take any pictures inside.
But let me tell you this from the beginning: on Thursday was something called night of the open doors (you could take a look behind the scenes at differed places) in the district around the main station and part of the red light district in Frankfurt.
First we took a tour through the Hotel Villa Oriental (the first and only oriantal theme hotel in Germany). We got free samples of figs and selfmade tea while while we had to wait for our tour.
Then we took another tour through another hotel. This time it was the Le Méridien were they offered us freshly squeezed juice.
And then we finally went to the red light district and visited the Golden Gate Diamond Club (the tabledace bar). But what happens in a tabledance bar stays in the tabledance bar.  ;) So I can't tell you anything more about it.  ;) When we came out there it was pretty late and time to go home.

That was something......

Take those paper cases for muffins and place them in a muffin bakingsheet fill them up with the cream and pleace some chocolate cream on top and put it back in the freezer. Let it freeze over night.

And then just enjoy. Yumm yumm yumm! So good!  :D

Hey there,

yesterday we did something very special! We went to a wedding!  :D
For that we had to get up very very early because hostmum went to the barbershop to get her done. That took about an hour  . From the barbershop we drove to the house were the wedding party should be and helped with some preparations. We also met some of the brides family there and drove together to the castle were the wedding was supposed to be. We could see the castle from the outside and took a peek inside but unfortunately couldn't see the actual ceremony (no dogs allowed). But therefor we watched bride and groom taking pictures in every possible constellation afterwards (bride and groom with there parents, grandparents, siblings, friends and so on. that took quite a while  ;) ). Then we went back to the house were all the 25 guests got to enjoy a really good buffet for lunch. In the afternoon we had tons of cake included the wedding cake of course (which was selfmade by the grooms sister by the way).
In the evening about 100 guests showed up and we had something we call "Polterabend" here in Germany. The guests brought old dishes and smashed it in the driveway because shards bring luck (that's an old german saying says that).
For dinner we had BBQ and lot's of salad and a few drinks.  ;)

That was an interesting and fun day at the wedding.  :D

Bye yours Doofus.

PS watch out for the cut out big heart in the pictures. It's the one we helped host mom to prepair.  :D
PPS the guestbook was selfmade by hostmum
PPPS the weired looking stuff in the flowerpot was a funny gift. Vanilla pudding with Oreo cookie crumbs. Very yummy.  :D

Hallo liebe Mama (means:Hello dear Mum in german  :D ),

we spent almost all day in Frankfurt and finally did some sightseeing (went there by train). We climbed on the roof top terrace of a shopping mall and had a very nice round view over the city and especially at the skyscrapers (if you ignore the nasty weather the view was really nice  ;) ). From there we walked to a place called Römer which is a very famous sight of Frankfurt. In the 14th century this was the place were the emperors and kings were crowned. Today it is the city hall.
From there we walked on to the river Main were the had a huge fair which is called Museumsuferfest (museumriversidefair) because along the river there are lots of museums. But we didn't went inside one. We just strolled around the fair were they had all kinds of different food and drinks from a whole lot of different nations. Not to forget all the music and stages.
And funny, interesting and nice stuff that you can buy. Hostmum bought a case for her sunglasses and a bag.
It took quite a while till we walked through the whole fair because it was pretty crowded and we stoped here and there to have a snack, a drink and to look at things.

And now it's almost time to go to bed.  :D

Good night Mommy.

Hello Mummy,

today we spent some time in a small park that surrounds the small castle of Wilhelmsbad in the town of Hanau. We just walked around for a while, climbed up the so called snail hill and had a picnic in the park.
On the way down from the snail hill Virgo and me used the rail to slide on it. We got in trouble with hostmum for doing that because it was quite dangerous ( at least that's what she says )
The castle was build by command of Lord Wilhelm IX./I. of Hessen-Kassel and was opened in 1779 because in the area a healing spring was found that was supposed to be used as a sanitarium. But in the year 1860 it dried up.

Altogether I enjoyed the relaxing time.

Hi Mommy,

yesterday a new guest arrived. Klöver a Toyvoyager from Sweden got here. Since hostmum told us in advance about it we planned a little surprise for her. But Klöver got here super fast (it just took her just 2 days to travel all the way from sweden to germany) so we weren't quite done with the preparations yet. That's way we had to hurry with the decoration and the dinner we made for Klöver. We cooked something typical swedish. It's called Köttbullar. And it made me (us) very pround we she said that she likes it.  :cyclops:
And to make her feel even more welcome Virgo and me  decided to let her have the very last portion of our selfmade icecream. That made her so happy that she had to cry a happy tear (and she probably misses home and her mum too).

Good night Mum

It was started to be build in the year 1701 by Earl Philipp Reinhard from Hanau.
Today it's home of a museum, a Restaurant, people can get married there (which it is very popular for) and rooms can be rent for events of all kinds.

Hope you had a nice weeked to.

Since the weather was very nice Susie's took us for a walk along a lake right outside her hometown. The funny thing is that the trees and bushes around the lake are grown so high and wide that you can hardly see it. But we found some spots with a good view. B)
We took the time to sunbathe for a little while there.
After that we climbed up a small bridge that crosses the railroad tracks. Luckily  hostmum was quick enough to take a picture with me and the train (it is very far behind me in the distance).  :D

Good night Mama

Hello there,

yesterday we went to Frankfurt again and did a whole lot more sightseeing. First Susie's showed us a building with some kind of tunnel right through the middle of it. It's called MyZeil and it's a shopping center (Zeil is the name of the main shopping district in Frankfurt). Then we got to see the building of the stock market with it's symbol Bull and bear. From there we walked along the so called "Fressgass"(it has something to do with eating because there are restaurant and Cafe side by side along the street) to the old Opera house. We also got to see some more skyscraper (the one with the giant € sign in front of it is the european central bank).  And then hostmum took us to the main railway station. We even went inside and saw some trains.

Hope you had a nice weekend too.

Love

Doofus

PS I was the only who who saw the rolling sight of Frankfurt (the colorful Streetcartrain). It's called Ebbelwoinexpress. People take a trip around town and drink wine that is made of apples (that is something very typical for Frankfurt).

Good Evening Mom,

my new friend Virgo left. :(  Since this morning he is gone and on his way to China now.
But yesterday we got to spent some more time together. Susie's took us to Bad Homburg again. She showed us a place called Kurpark (you could translate it with: spa garden or spa park). There are statues everywhere, a tennis court, a golf course, interesting buildings all around and a playground (we played there for a while). In the evening we helped him to get all his stuff together. And this morning was time to say good bye. There was a whole lot of cuddling and hugging. We even hugged the envelope when Virgo was already inside.
And now he is gone.  :(

But hopefully a new toyvoyager will arrive soon.  :)

Good night Mom.

Hallo Mama,

I am still a little sad that my friend Virgo had to leave two days ago  :( . So Susie's decided to cheer me up. That's why we went to see a movie. It's called "Ted" with Mark Walberg, Mila Kunis and a Teddybear. It was funny and ... lets say naughty.  ;)

Because the weather was perfectly fine we walked around for quite a while after the movie. I got to see some more interesting buildings, a tower, a statue (or two), we even found a hidden chinese garden and at the end we walked along the river Main.

That was very nice and I enjoyed my day a lot.

And how was your weekend?

Mommy, Mommy Mommy!!!!!!  :cyclops:
You won't belive where I spent my day!!!!  :cyclops:
I was in the Netherlands (almost) all day!!!  :cyclops:
Susie's took us to the so called Floriade (World Horticultural Expo).
First of all we had to get up at 05.30 in the morning( that's incredible early  ). After breakfast we picked up Susie's Mom and a friend and than drove with the car for for four hours. Then we finally reached our destination. The Floriade in Venlo!
First we headed for an area called World Show Stage. It shows gardens and buildings that represent nations from all over the world. While we had lunch there we suddenly noticed thick, black smoke coming from somewhere right ouside the park. We looked at it for a while and then went our way. A bit later we wanted to take the sky train to reach the other end of the park. But right at that moment we were told that the World Show Stage area and the sky train will be closed due to the fact that it is closed to the fire. So we had to walk allllll the way to the Relaxe&Heal area (to the other end of the park). After all it wasn't bad because we walked throught a little forest on a wooden path. Once we reached Relaxe&Heal we had a coffee break. After strolling around there for a while we got told that the park will be evacuated and all 11.000 vistitors have to leave because there is a factory on fire and no one knows if the smoke from the fire is toxic or not. So we slowly walked towards the main entrance/exit . But we took our time and saw a whole lot of beautiful flowers on the way. When we reached the exit we could smell the fire/smoke too (like burned plastic or so). Due to the circumstances we had to leave the Floriade a couple hours earlier than planned.
Hostmum was a bit disappointed that she didn't get to see everything she wanted.
But the good thing about leaving earlier was that we didn't came home too late.

And that was my last exciting day (a bit more exciting than expected) with my friend Klöver and hostmum Susie's.

Because Im leaving to travel to Italy very soon.  :D

Love you
