Lexie, Dortmund, Germany

La_Kate_Boheme Posted Apr 21, 2012, 10:16 pm	Hello world!! My name is Lexie and I'm new here. My host already had another TV but it's lost I hope I won't get lost, too!! But well, let me introduce myself a little bit: As I already told you: My name is Lexie. I belong the Barbapapa family and my birthname is Barbalala, but I just want to be called Lexie. It's easy to identify me, I'm green and I always wear a bandeau made of flowers I love everything related to music, such as singing, watching musicals, listening to music, dancing (ballet) and stuff like that. I want to listen to some typical music of the countries that I'm gonna visit. I'm curious if there are many differences between the tastes of music around the world. I'm from Dortmund, Germany but I have another residence in Bochum, which is next to Dortmund. The local football team "BVB Borussia Dortmund" became the German Champion today, even though there are still some matches left!! Awesome news!! Last year, the team was the German Champion as well.  A friend of me is also a fan of the team and we celebrated together: My host is hosting some TV's at the moment (Bussi,Brownbeard and Marawarpina. They told me much about ToyVoyaging and traveling around the world and now I can't wait to start my own adventures!!  Well, I really can't wait to make my own experiences and I'm so looking forward to the different countries and cultures which are waiting for me out there!! I'll tell you more about my life here in Dortmund and Bochum in the next days. Lots of Love, Lexie xxx
La_Kate_Boheme Posted Apr 23, 2012, 9:26 pm	Hey guys!! Today was a beautiful day!! The sun was shining and the birds were singing. Well, there were some clouds from time to time but it wasn't that bad.  My host, the other TV's and me decided to spend the day in Bochum, in a park with big ponds, called "Harpener Teiche" (Harpener ponds) to enjoy the weather. Harpen is a district of Bochum and the ponds are in an area between the districts Harpen and Werne. My host told me that the mine drainage water of a nearby mine flows into the these ponds. The Ruhr Area is popular for its former mining and the mines which are out of service fill up with mine drainage water. This water has to be pumped out because otherwise it would mix up with the groundwater and would make it useless. It's complicated to explain, anyway this process has to be conducted to all eternity. Are you curious how the area looks like? Haha well, I won't keep you in suspense much longer  This is our whole TV group at the moment: Here you can see Brownbeard and me. He is a pirate and I love his pirate accent!! Well, I like him in general..  This place is sooo romantic!! It's so nice to sit here and look at the creek and the paddock in the background Another group photo: This is one of the inflows of the mine drainage water. I think it looks nice, don't you think? La_Kate_Boheme Posted Apr 26, 2012, 8:07 pm	Hello everyone, today I visited my mum's university, it's called TU Dortmund. This university exists since 1968 and has 2 campuses. The northern campus is bigger than the southern campus, but the southern one is more familiar and a little more modern. At the northern campus are the natural sciences, the humane discipline, sports and everything related to music. At the southern campus is the whole constructing stuff, like architecture, spatial planning and civil engineering. I just visited the smaller campus with the construction stuff, because mummy studies spatial planning there. Here you can see the building for spatial planning (on the right), the building for civil engineering (in the middle) and the one for the architects (on the left, kinda hard to see): Well, the campuses are connected with an overhead-track, called "H-Bahn" (short form of the german word "Hängebahn"which means "overhead-track"). Here you can see at least the tracks, I couldn't catch a carriage On the way back home I passed a beautiful field Yay, that was my day so far. Oh, Mum told me today that I'll leave very soon and start my journey to Australia. I'm already so excited, I can't wait to meet my host there and spend some great time there. But I'm a bit sad though because I'm sure I'm gonna miss my Mum and my best friend Tucker. Anyways, let's see how this adventure will be. Well okay, that's it for today. Hope you had a nice week! La_Kate_Boheme Posted Apr 29, 2012, 8:59 pm	Hello world, Today is my last day at home, I finally start my first adventure!! I really can't wait to spend some time in different places all over the world. I hope everything will go well. I enjoyed my last day here in Bochum and went to the city center of Bochum. There was a festival called "Maiabend Fest" (May evening festival). It is an old traditional festival which is several hundreds of years old. The background of this festival is that back then - a few hundred years ago - young people cut down a tree in a district in Bochum called "Harpen" and carried it to the city center. Since this time, this procedure is beeing held every year. There is a parade every year where the Maischützen (there's no english word for it) walk from Harpen to the city center, drinking lots of alcohol and making music. In the city center itself is a big festival with many beer stalls, food stands, a medieval market and a stage with live music. It's quite nice. Here you can see me in front of some guys of the parade. In the background you can see the entrance of a fashion house called "Baltz". It exists since about 125 years. There were many policemen and police cars at the festival to keep an eye on everything. Here you can see me and the other TV's on one of the police cars. A policeman turned a LED display on with the word "STOP", especially for us! It's mirror-inverted so that the car drivers can read it when they look in their rearview mirror when the police is behind them. Well... Later that day it was time to say goodbye to eveyone. I think I will miss Brownbeard, Marawarpina and Bussi. And of course Tucker. My best friend Tucker starts his first adventure today as well and it was a quite emotional farewell. I gave him a last hug and wished him luck and fun for his life as a ToyVoyager. I'm gonna miss my Mum and Tucker very much but I'm looking forward to everything that's waiting for me in this big world. The next update will be made from Australia, yay Can't wait to spend some time there Lots of Love, Lexie xx

fleursmum Posted May 10, 2012, 9:35 am	Hi Mum, Well here I am! I heard voices then a face appeared in my travel bag and I was helped out and I met Tica, BigFoot and LittleLucy!! BigFoot held up the postcard you sent - we all thought it was very nice!  here is where I am staying....some of the backyard one of the last roses in the garden...smelt very nice..... part of the front yard here comes the chow chow to say hello!  in the front yard again....hee hee someone forgot about her shadow!!!  more of the front yard nice autumn tree here Mum!! fleursmum Posted May 13, 2012, 9:04 am	Hi Mum, Today we are at St Leonards which is on the Bellarine Penninsular. It was sunny this morning but the weather forecast is not good so we got photos while we could! First we went for a walk along the beach near the house. we had a little sit and watched the water BigFoot and I on the fence post!!  It is very quiet and peaceful here today Mum - not many people and the water is very clear and still. this is the view from the back verandah and look Mum - kiwifruit on the vine here!! this gum tree is in the front yard - aren't the flowers pretty!! and after the flowers comes the gum nuts. and this bougainvillea is growing through the kiwifruit we found this mushroom in the garden too!  these shells were on a table in the back yard - they were in a wind chime but it broke in the weather and hasn't been remade yet. I practiced some indoor sailing Mum!! This is the best kind - you don't get wet and don't have to be out in the weather!!  More soon Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

fleursmum Posted May 17, 2012, 10:04 am	Hi Mum, Today we took the chow chow for a walk in the park this is part of the drinking fountain - there used to be a bird sculpture on these hands but it has been broken off sadly!! BigFoot and I has a chat while we waited for the chow to catch up - he has to sniff everything!! we found this tree with these fruits but we don't know what it is!! here we are playing in the autumn leaves  now I am on the bridge over the creek - Sue had to hang onto me because it was a bit windy and I didn't want to swim!!  we had a stop in the playground Oooohhhhh...we saw a crocodile in the playground...phew it was just a play one!!! fleursmum Posted May 21, 2012, 9:59 am	Hi Mum, We took the dog for a walk again today - it was a nice day heading off to the park behind me is the indoor swimming pool here we are on the old oak tree walk there goes the chow chow  down behind me is the creek we found this tyre swing and had a go - it was very high but good fun!! fleursmum Posted May 25, 2012, 8:37 am	Hi Mum, We are at the beach for the weekend we had a walk on the beach at Ocean Grove - the waves were rolling in!  We saw lots of dogs having a run on the beach too! this beach is at Barwon Heads just a bit further down the coast we watched a kayak race from on top of the Bluff Good view up here Mum, but boy it is windy!! time for a cuppa at a nice cafe!! on our way home we saw some flying things!! this one landed on the beach!  Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx
fleursmum Posted May 27, 2012, 7:57 am	Hi Mum, Here we are in Geelong - having a look at the bollards - they are all along the Eastern Beach and tell the history of Geelong. These people are in different swimming costumes Here are the life saver bollards here we are looking back along Eastern Beach and to the swimming pool that has a walk way around it and wire fencing underneath to keep the big fish out!! we think the life guard sits here in the summer - and maybe you can dive off it too? Last look back at the beach - the men walking in the childrens pool we think are Geelong football players - Aussie Rules - they come and walk in the cold water after a game to help their legs recover! fleursmum Posted Jun 3, 2012, 10:20 am	Hi Mum We had a look at the city today Bourke Street Mall in the city a tram just went past we sat and listened to this man playing the pan pipes and music from Peru Flinder's Street Station where the Melbourne City trains come to over the road is Federation square looking back at St Pauls Cathedral Over in Federation Square we found a display of old petrol bowsers that had been re figured - it was promoting electric cars this one was a pie warmer and smelt wonderful!! this one was a coffee making machine!! Down near the Yarra River we saw this  sculpture here we are on the bridge that goes over the Yarra River - behind us is the Melbourne Cricket Ground (the stadium) where the cricket and the Australian Rules Football is played here is the Arts Centre - it has been refurbished and will open again soon still on the bridge and looking back to Federation Square this is one the other side of the bridge looking towards South Bank - hotels restaurants and cafes. this is Southern Cross Station where we get the train back to Gisborne Loaded up and ready to go!! fleursmum Posted Jun 5, 2012, 5:32 am	Hi Mum Today we went to Kyneton to watch Sue's son play soccer but first we took the chow for a walk we went up the road past the horse paddock then we came back and watched the game - mostly from the car because it was so cold! fleursmum Posted Jun 5, 2012, 5:56 am	Hi Mum, Today we watched Sue's big son Adam, cook dinner - he is pretty good in the kitchen  here the veges are being cooked BigFoot and I found some doughnuts - I wonder if we can get closer? These oranges are in the way too much!!  the veges are going into a big dish now - Tica is telling jokes and we all fell over with the laughing!! we have calmed down now Mum    and the pasta is going on top of the veges cheese sauce has gone on and now the parmesan is being sprinkled on top...what has distracted Binky?  oh the cheese seeking chow chow is here - lucky he can't reach up to the bench!! fleursmum Posted Jun 8, 2012, 8:39 am	Hi Mum, Today we went down the bottom of the yard with Tupai to see if we could see any rabbits - there a many many running around here but they move very fast and Tupai is too slow to catch them! we found an interesting toadstool near the oak tree and we had our last photos taken with Binky -he is heading home tomorrow  Tupai is still following the rabbit smells!!  the sky is a beautiful blue today and you can see the moon just above my head! Later we helped with cutting the grass - it was very noisy and bumpy sitting up o the ride on mower! Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx
fleursmum Posted Jun 8, 2012, 8:47 am	Hi Mum, Walking the dog again today - it is cold and wet and not nice to be outside much!  This tree in the photo is a kowhai tree - it is a native tree from New Zealand and in the botanic gardens here in Gisborne there are a lot of New Zealand plants - makes Sue feel at home!! In the spring time it has yellow flowers (the tree not Sue  ) and they are shaped like a birds beak and attract the honey easting birds - in NZ it is the tui. and in this house there used to be a carving from New Zealand - it was of Tane Mahuta the god of the forest, but sadly, recently someone stole him.  and even thought the sign says Mount Macedon, we are still in the park in Gisborne, this is where the petanque games are played. We snuggled up in the big crochet blanket one of the ladies was working on to keep warm it is going to be a bed cover and is huge! Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx
fleursmum Posted Jun 9, 2012, 8:30 am	Hi Mum, I had a big day out today at the Ballarat Wildlife Park I met one emu two emus!  and we met Misty the koala oohh and a kangaroo - this one was very close and looking for food!!  this is a grey kangaroo and likes people! this is a red kangaroo - they aren't so happy around people so re in their own enclosure we had a sit in the cafe for a while and had a hot chocolate drink  there are sleepy koalas under that shelter on the log there is a Tasmanian Devil - they make a horrible noise, they scream and wail!! The light shining through their ears makes them look really red and that is how they got their name - they must have been frightening to the early settlers in Tasmania - they could see the ears and hear the noise but didn't know what they were. Isn't this kangaroo pretty? we met a young wombat and Patrick and older wombat another sleepy koala!  how is this for a collection of koalas Mum? I think they could all be toy voyagers!  Love and hugs Lexie xoxox

fleursmum Posted Jun 25, 2012, 7:20 am	Hi Mum, Today we had a big drive in the car to the Bali Safari and Marine Park - long drive because here the roads are narrow and there is a lot of traffic and it takes along long time to get anywhere!!  But here we are at the entrance we listened to these men playing music as we came in to the park We saw the elephants having a bath and people having an elephant ride - Sue had a ride later in the day but we weren't allowed to take a camera so missed out on photos there  here the lions were lying in the sunshine this was where we had lunch these are the white tigers More soon Mum Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

fleursmum Posted Jun 26, 2012, 7:43 am	Hi Mum, We are off to see a temple near the sea, but on the way we saw lots and lots of rice fields this one isn't planted yet!!! interesting traffic this is the temple we have come to see at Tannah Lot - the temple was joined to the land but over time the ocean had washed a way the rock in between and now you can only get to the temple at low tide. This temple was built in the 11th Century!!  and here is the sun set we came to see along with hundreds of other people!!  Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

fleursmum Posted Jun 28, 2012, 12:39 am	Hi Mum, Here we are again looking at Mount Batur where we stopped for lunch. The black you can see in the photo is lava from the last time the volcano erupted in 1994!  Lucky all was quiet on the day we were there!! On the way home we stopped at this beautiful Hindu temple - Sue and her husband had to put on sarongs (to cover those parts of the body that must be covered!) and a tie around the middle to remember to think good thoughts while in the temple! fleursmum Posted Jun 28, 2012, 12:54 am	Today we are travelling north to Lovina - we stopped to have a look at some rice fields then we had a look at another beautiful Hindu temple by Lake Beratan. and on the side of the road we saw some monkeys - you can't get close or touch or else they will bite you!! fleursmum Posted Jul 1, 2012, 8:57 am	Hi Mum, Good day to rest by the pool today here at the villa. there are a lot of fish swimming in the pool with this water feature In the evening we went to a really nice restaurant to watch the sunset and to have dinner - sadly the sky was cloudy so we didn't see any sunset but we did have a good time!  in the bean bags by the pool the fire has been lit and the drink has arrived - not bad this!!  Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

fleursmum Posted Jul 4, 2012, 6:03 am	Hi Mum, Tonight we watched dinner being cooked the mince is browning in the pan next the curry powder went in then some rice frozen veges then vege stock was added then the lid went on to let it simmer away  BUT Sue forgot to take a photo of the finished meal!!      It was yummy though!! fleursmum Posted Jul 18, 2012, 12:39 am	Hi Mum, Today we had a trip into the city - we found these umbrellas in a shopping building  here we are by the Yarra River we found an interesting sculpture in a nearby park these carvings on the rock are interesting Mum walking back to the train station we found an alleyway with loads of interesting graffiti oops I fell over!! time for a rest now - in the train on the way home!!  Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

fleursmum Posted Jul 21, 2012, 1:04 am	Hi Mum, We have arrived in Rotorua and are having a ride on the gondola to see the view of the city and Lake Rotorua getting higher!  We have just watched some people on a bungy swing - they travelled at 150km per hour when the swing first started!!  At the top we found a jelly bean shop Here is a luge sled made from jelly beans! fleursmum Posted Jul 21, 2012, 1:23 am	Hi Mum, We are now going for a walk in the park near the city this pool is full of hot mineral water we could see it bubbling away - there is always steam from these pools, but there is more today because it is a cold day down there is boiling mud!!  Wonder of that is good for my face?  this one is quiet but smells like rotten eggs!!  we have to be careful where we walk here!! fleursmum Posted Jul 21, 2012, 2:01 am	Hi Mum We are now down by Lake Rotorua at a place called Ohinemutu to look at the amazing buildings and see the steam vents - they are all over the place here - you can hear the water bubbling and boiling under the road! Some people cook their food in the steam vents here!  this is the Maori meetinghouse or marae carving on the front of the building inside the church Lake Rotorua! fleursmum Posted Aug 3, 2012, 9:14 am	Hi Mum, We are still on our way to Auckland but stopped to have a look at the beach here At the back of the beach Mum, there is a little waterfall flowing out from the bush, then over the sand and out to the sea, Now we are in Waihi township - at the gold mine - this is the old pump house This is the open cast mine - at the present there is about NZ$4,000,000 worth of gold taken out each week!!  It is a long, long way down there!! There are 50 of these indifferent schools around Victoria and it is to help celebrate that  the Melbourne Zoo has been looking after elephants for 150 years!! Love and hugs Lexie xxooxx

I chose the banjo because it is associated with American folk music.  I am the only girl here and they are all in love with me.   I set up a breakfast party and shared the chocolate I  brought from Australia.  Then we looked at the postcards BarryO, Suomi-Boy and I brought with us, and the pen mmm_105 sent from Finland; it has it's own ToyVoyager bear attached, so special. These funny-looking boats are 45-foot catamarans racing in the America's Cup World Series.  There are teams here from Great Britain, France, Sweden, New Zealand, Italy, U.S.A. , South Korea, and China. LittleCableCars Posted Sep 1, 2012, 9:42 pm	Sunday the sun came out for the final day of the America's Cup World Series Racing.  We settled in on our own private viewing bench away from the crowds and then walked along shore to get a look at the races and took a couple of zooms.  The U.S. team (marked Oracle) came in second to Italy (the Prada boat) in the last race but had enough points to win the series. Yeah!!  We didn't see any sign of Jeremy yet.  Still too early.  Hope he's having fun. Love & Hugs from Your Lexie
LittleCableCars Posted Sep 4, 2012, 1:50 pm	A package arrived!  It was DuDette's souvenirs from her visit to MA-17 and Alex's house.  Hehe, it was addressed for DuDu.  He got so excited.  There was a postcard from his DuDette just for him and her mom; a menu from an Italian restaurant where she had her last meal in Berlin; an Easter egg, oh, has she been gone that long?; and most special of all was a big red heart.  DuDu shared the candy with us and I played the French horn.   Mom, all the guys here (except DuDu and C.T. LittleCableCars Posted Sep 23, 2012, 9:39 pm	I woke up the guys with my singing and then led them into the Little Theater where I'm practicing for a special performance. They were mesmerized by my Wurlitzer organ playing. Then I practiced some magic tricks. He he, a playing card landed in BarryO's hat.  Of course, he volunteered to go up on stage to assist.  I asked him to step into a big box, then put a lid on it, said "abracadabra"; and, poof, BarryO disappeared. I'll send more photos, Mom, after I re-read the magic instructions.  Your nervous Lexie, On stage!!

LittleCableCars Posted Sep 27, 2012, 3:22 am	The white spot we saw in the sky on 21 September was the space shuttle Endeavour flying piggyback on a 727, on its way to retire at a museum in Los Angeles.  We try to be mysterious because Squab and his brother, Alex Kitty, like to play guessing games. We went out onto a jetty to check out a musical geocache to an artwork called The Wave Organ.  Pipes were placed in the water to catch the music of the waves.  We got there at high tide and could hear the waves lapping on the rocks but heard nothing through the pipes until we sat still for awhile. It just sounded like gulps.   The fog horns were more musical, I thought; but this is a very good spot to "sit by the dock of the bay," geocache and have a picnic. LittleCableCars Posted Oct 18, 2012, 1:29 am	At last!  The day came for my special performance.  I brought out a big old-fashioned iPod called a gramophone and played a few arias from "La Boheme" and then compared them to  songs from "Rent"! The guys were reluctant at first but then agreed to get into the magic box. Then one by one they disappeared. Uh-oh! But I waved the magic wand again, recited some mumbo jumbo and it worked. Phew!! They were back in their seats and look what was in the box.  It is....  Oh no, is it really....  It is!!!   Ta-da!!

LittleCableCars Posted Oct 22, 2012, 4:42 am	While our host was busy in her office, we went up to the attic to see if we could find some old junk to use for Halloween costumes and decorations.  We found a wardrobe full of old clothes!  Suomi-boy, Squab and I put on sweaters while BarryO got a jacket.  Konrad put on a plaid bowtie and Jeremy picked out a fireman's hat and boots.  We will wear the rest of the stuff for special occasions.   But Konrad and Jeremy say they are guys, they won't wear anymore of that stuff.

We went to a Halloween party.  DuDu took us to a friend's house for a spooky evening.  We bobbed for apples, a skeleton popped out of a closet, there were cobwebs, witches and ghosts everywhere, we reached into a bowl and pulled out slimy eyes, eek; and lots of other stuff.  C.T. Mouse, Detective, said the eyes were really peeled grapes.  The host looked spooky but was very nice and a health nut.  He gave us fruit punch, apples, oranges, raisins and small denomination coins instead of candy. LittleCableCars Posted Nov 9, 2012, 8:32 pm	Hey Alex, So cool to have your own apartment!  Hope you find or make some cool furniture.  Can't wait to see it finished.  Yep, we have lots of tips.  Maybe put your lawn chair on the roof but leave room for Santa to land there on Christmas Eve.  .  Make a picnic up there.  Sun bathe.  Star gaze. This is how we make a bed:  find a box top in the size you want for the base.  Gather lots of material from the charity bag for sheets, blankets and pillow cases.  We took a piece of cat bed material from an old broken cat perch, sewed it double and stuffed it for a soft mattress.  A dark brown velour blouse was cut up for bedspreads, tablecloth, pillow and bolster covers.  The headboard is a 4" x 6" picture frame covered in that same velour material. A smaller bed has a platform made from another 4" x 6" frame. We got lazy and never finished hemming all the sheets and bedspreads but we think it doesn't show too much.   Of course, we test the beds daily by jumping up and down. . LittleCableCars Posted Nov 15, 2012, 1:41 am	Today is my last day here and the guys and I put on our outdoor gear to hike at Rodeo Beach in Marin County. Then we went home; I played a melodic bell for them and Squab did the chicken dance ; we hugged a lot and I took off through the magic box. Poof!! Don't worry, Mom, I read a book by Houdini's brother. If all goes well, I will soon appear on the most famous blue chair in all of Germany.   Love and hugs, Lexie

RikeH Posted Dec 7, 2012, 11:47 am	Hello Mum, I wish you a nice ‚Nikolaus-Tag‘. In Germany it is normal to put the cleaned boots in front of the door – and you get sweets. Unfortunately we all had no boots – and decided to draw some. We wanted to wait for the Nikolaus, but he didn’t came and we felt asleep. The next morning we saw that he visited us in the night. I was so happy! Hopefully the Nikolaus brought you something, too! We have snow in Sülfeld at the moment. We tried to build a snowman – but the snow wasn’t good for it – so we will try it later this year. Love Lexie
RikeH Posted Dec 13, 2012, 8:33 pm	Hi Mum, I went to Hamburg today – and wanted to see some Christmas Decoration there. Look – what I found in the main station. There were big balls with trains and houses from different cities. I especially loved the one from Hamburg – it was the biggest ball with the emblem of the city on it. This was one of the biggest Christmas Trees in the city. Look – what a wonderful Christmas Pyramid in such a lovely light. I saw these wonderful lights on our way home. Yours Lexie

First we saw these strong guys.     There was a nice building – but I loved the carousel and the Christmas tree more. Behind me you see the church of Bad Segeberg. There was another big Christmas tree on this place. Back home I met some funny guys – first one in the garden. This guy had a warmer place in the living-room of Stoker’s and Dicker Kumpel’s grandma. yours Lexie

Behind me you see the town hall. Unfortunately the weather was not so good, so we decided to drive home. First we met Murph and his guests – and we shared our gifts! Great, everyone got chocolate! I received a funny bear! Then it was time to talk to Snowy the snowman and Rudi the reindeer. Santa was very busy this Christmas – so he sent his two best friends to us. I started and sang a song. Then I performed a poem. I must have been great – and I received something nice from Snowy and Rudi. It was wonderful. I hope that you had a great Christmas Time too, Mum! Yours Lexie

I loved the view here – I saw a lot of green although we are in the wintertime. We found a sunny place for a rest. On this sign I read that they gave this river his old course back.     Nice! Because it was very cold I went inside.   Nice! There was a small river in the city. And a bridge over it. I loved the old houses in Bad Oldesloe. Behind me you see the city hall. Next to it was another beautiful building – called Stadthaus. Love Lexie

RikeH Posted Feb 10, 2013, 10:57 am	Hello Mum, The weather was awful outside and RikeH had a bad cold, so we decided to play billiards. Dicker Kumpel explained the rules. Then he showed us, how to play. I tried it – and it was so much fun! I won against Nayeli with 6:3. Later I played in the room. A horse must have lived here years ago. Look – a big barrel. Luck for me! Then I tried to call you – but nobody was at home. RikeH had such a crazy lamp in her basement. The worm and I had a lot of fun together. Love Lexie
RikeH Posted Feb 17, 2013, 8:01 pm	Hi Mum, Today we decided to travel to the Port of Hamburg. I had nice views, although the sky wasn’t that blue. Look – a wonderful old sailing ship. This is a monument. People from Vietnam from the Cap Anamur gave it to Hamburg. Another old ship - called Cap San Diego. Then we went into the Speicherstadt – with many old storage houses. Really near to the old houses they built new modern houses. It was interesting, but very cold. Love Lexie

Before I started my exciting trip on the island, I had delicious breakfast. Look – really big cactus-plants. And a wonderful beach. Later we stopped at another nice place. It was a funny trip – and now you can see, why. We drove on a segway. Our last stop was next to a lighthouse. I decided to taste a coconut. A last view from our balcony – then we had to leave. RikeH Posted Mar 14, 2013, 3:54 pm	Hello Mum, Today we visited Willemstad – a nice city on the Curacao Island. They have nice bridge there, called Queen Emma Bridge. It is a Pantoon Bridge and called The Swinging Lady. We went over it – and when we reached the other side – it started swinging. There were many beautiful and colorful houses here. This was a synagogue. And a yellow church. After some walking we saw the bridge again. This time people walked over it. I loved the nice houses. Behind me you see the Governors Palace. Houses in the Breedestraat. Well – did I already tell you that I love this bridge? I had a great view from the bridge. Back on the ship I relaxed and then I walked on the upper deck and had these views over the city. Look – there was another cruise ship. This is our ship – I went into the pool after this photo, because it was so hot – we had about 31 degrees Celsius! Yours Lexie
RikeH Posted Mar 14, 2013, 3:57 pm	Hello Mum, Another sunny day on our trip. Behind me you see our ship. Our first short stop gave us a nice view over the small harbor. Grenada is the Island of the nutmegs. You see one next to me, on the other side there is a fruit of cocoa. I walked to the Concorde Waterfalls. Then we went to a factory for the nutmegs. They were packed here. At this place they dry the nutmegs. This is the machine to open the nutmegs. I learnt a lot in this factory. It was so interesting. RikeH Posted Mar 14, 2013, 3:59 pm	Hi Mum,  We visited Kingstown today. To tell the truth, we didn’t like it too much. There weren’t many touristic places to visit, and it was very crowded on narrow streets. But we found one nice place – a church called St. George’s Cathedral. Next to the church was another church – St. Mary’s Catholic Church – but it looked very dark! In the park of St. George’s I found beautiful flowers. Because we didn’t feel so great in the town, we returned onto our ship – and looked over Kingstown. Maybe you can see the kind of houses they have here. I loved the color of the water – in reality it looked nicer than on the photo. The clouds looked dark, but we had no rain – only high temperatures and a very high humidity. These are the stairs in the foyer of our ship. Maybe I should have such a lamp at home, too. A really strange color, isn’t it? But it was a nice chair in the Grand Bar. Many greetings Lexie
RikeH Posted Mar 20, 2013, 8:58 pm	Hello Mum, Our next Port of Call was Bridgetown. I loved this nice old sailing ship. There were some small yachts near to it. There was a small arch – but I don’t know, what it was good for. I took a rest under this big tree. This is the St Michael’s Cathedral. Behind me you can see the Parliament. Do you know this man – it is Lord Nelson. This was another beautiful building in the city. Back on the ship I was hungry and I ate 3 sandwiches. Love Lexie
RikeH Posted Mar 25, 2013, 2:59 pm	Hello Mum, Today we took a nice trip over the St. Lucia Island. Our first stop was near to a village called Anse La Raye. We stopped at another point of view – and saw the fishing village Canaries. It was amazing – we saw the majestic Pitons. Then we drove into a vulcano and saw the Sulphur Springs. The springs were interesting – but had a bad smell – so we decided to leave and visited a nice Botanical Garden. There was a beautiful waterfall. This place is called Marigot Bay – the site where the original Dr. Doolittle movie was filmed. We spent our afternoon at the beach. I loved this view. And I had fun at the beach. When we went back to our car we saw these palms. This view was so beautiful – typical for the Caribbean, I think. What a wonderful day! Love Lexie
RikeH Posted Mar 25, 2013, 3:04 pm	Hello Mum, I am famous and I am beautiful – so I had to visit this Island. It is called Saint Barthélemy or St. Barts. From my balcony I saw this big yacht. This was the port of Gustavia. I stopped at the Stone Anglican Church. On the other side of the street there was this big anchor. Behind me you see one of the oldest houses here – the Dinzey House, built circa 1820. This is the Wall House. This is the new town hall – called Hotel de la Collectivité. We stopped at the Shell Beach. After relaxing at the beach we walked up this little hill and had a nice view over the harbor. St Bart was a beautiful Island. Yours Lexie

RikeH Posted Mar 30, 2013, 4:27 pm	Dear Mum, The evening was wonderful – but I didn't feel great this morning. RikeH brought some ice for my aching head. Afterwards we got some medicine. Later that day I felt better – and had a great breakfast in the suite. Be sure that I didn't drink the champagne. This was my last day on the cruise ship. I really loved it here. Yours Lexie

RikeH Posted Apr 1, 2013, 7:20 pm	Hello Mum, The bunnies were really excited today. We asked why – it was Easter. Time to search some Easter eggs and other chocolate. I found something! Well – there was something in the basket of the bunny. But it was so high above the ground. I asked Long Hippo to help me. It was much easier this way. I got the chocolate bunny. Later we all sat together and were happy, because we all find a lot of delicious sweets. Happy Easter, Mum! Yours Lexie
RikeH Posted Apr 2, 2013, 4:23 pm	Happy Easter again! Today we visited Dicker Kumpel’s grandma. Believe it or not – I met the Easter bunny there. It was so great to meet the Easter bunny. Then it was time for coffee and cake. It was delicious! I had fun with other bunnies! And a chicken was there, too. Later in the afternoon I went into the garden and sat in the sunshine. I met another bunny there –he gave me this wonderful Easter egg. Love Lexie
RikeH Posted Apr 15, 2013, 8:47 pm	Hello Mum, We went to the town Bad Segeberg. It is the town of the Apaches here. There is one of their stakes. I drove with this wonderful loco. There was a beautiful old house. And another stake. This big Eagle belongs to the third stake. Look – the church of Bad Segeberg – and a nice blue sky. We went up a hill and had a view over the theatre, where the Apaches will play Winnetou – Blutsbruder this year. I had a great view over Bad Segeberg and its big lakes. Later we went downhill and visited the small lake of Segeberg. I met some ducks there. What a wonderful sunny day. yours Lexie
RikeH Posted May 4, 2013, 7:02 pm	Hello Mum, Bad news – RikeH had the flu and was not able to make nice trips with us. So we decided to explore Sülfeld in the springtime. The first stop was next to this sign – I learnt a lot about an old channel. There it was – smaller than in the Past I think. We stopped at a nice place and talked a lot. No snow anymore! We went along this small lake – it was frozen in the wintertime. Look – what a wonderful tree! This is the old school of Sülfeld. Some years ago they celebrated 800 years for Sülfeld – an old village, isn't it? This is the church – a really nice building. I spent some time on a playground – and loved it. Yours Lexie
RikeH Posted May 7, 2013, 6:57 pm	Hello Mum, RikeH is still ill. But the spring arrived in Germany. So I decided to explore the garden. I found many nice flowers – tulips in different colors. Two more colors. I took a rest next to these blue flowers in the sunshine. I loved these beautiful flowers – but I don't know the English name for it. The last wonderful thing I found was this blossom of the magnolia. Mum, I was here with Dicker Kumpel for over 5 months now – so it is time to come home. I said goodbye to my good friend Dicker Kumpel. And I got a big hug by my other TV-friends here! Yours Lexie
La_Kate_Boheme Posted May 12, 2013, 9:42 pm	Well, hello world I finally found my way home after quite accurate one year of traveling!! I had a great time out there and I met so many wonderful new people and TVs. They made my journey memorable and I'm so thankful for every single one of them. Guys & Girls, you are awesome!! I would have never thought that I'd visit so many different places all over the world but you made it happen. Thank you But now I'm happy to be home again and I had tears in my eyes when my Mum took me out of the envelope  I already met a new TV which is staying here at the moment, her name is Josie and she is so adorable! Look at that sweet little girl! I think we'll have a great time. Well, I think I need a little rest now. I'm so glad to be with my Mum on Mother's Day, what a nice surprise for her I've got lots of things to tell her in the following days. At some point I will start a new journey, but not today  Good night guys!! Love, Lexie
