Hi Mummy!

Today we arrived with the Rollerle (engl: scooter) in Lichtenfels. We drove the whole night. Weisbaertle, my pilot said that real guys do this

I am not hungry at all after the trip. I had so much flies between my teeth on the autobahn  :cyclops:

I think I am the first TV who arrives by scooter at its hosts. I even rang the doorbell myself!

Then Weisbaertle and me drove into the apartment. We were welcomed by sooo many plushies! I think we will talk the whole night!

Weisbaertle invited me for a guys day, but he didn´t say what this means... I will see  :D

So, keep me in mind!

Hi, my dear Mummy!

Have a nice Mothersday! I love you!

This evening we made a barbecue. I assisted hostdad at the grill. It was very hazardous job! But real guys do that! B)

At first we had to fire the coals. Then we blew the coals that they glow. After that: Spareribs on! Because I am a liitle bit too small to turn the meat, hostdad helped me.

Look, doesn´t it look yummie?

It even tasted yummie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

I am so full, I think my stripe dress is a little bit so small  :D

Love you, Günther

Hello Mummy!

I am back from our trip to Kaldenkirchen. *Paul* and me accompanied hostdad this weekend to the sequoiafarm.

It was a long journey and it was a little bit boring. So we said hostdad where he has to go. Ok, we just repeated what the GPS lady said, but this was quite funny  :D. We were 4 plushies, Luna, the cute sheep and Bob who lives in the car. At first it was raining but then the weather got better!

Finally we reached the farm. At the entrance you see a pretty old house, called "Heidehäuschen".

Then I learned a lot about Sequoias. Exspecially about the Coast Redwood or Sequoia sempervirens. Sempervirens means that this tree is always green.

In the photo you see one of the biggest Redwoods in Germany, this tree is only 50 years old and sooooooooooo big!

Mummy, can we plant a sequoia in our garden, too? I think you will like it!

Hello, Mummy!

Today we made a trip tp the Bavarian Garden Exhibition in Bamberg. Cheerio, *Paul*, Wavy Gravy and me accompanied our hosts.

Because the exhibition is so big we travelled in hostmums backpack. But I got a special place: In hostdads shirt  :D

There were so many flowers, I don´t know which of them I like most. The purple or the white one?

We rested in a deck chair before we continued our walk.

We saw pretty artwork

Then we were very thirsty  :D We tasted original franconian beer  :D

But then we saw the most intersting thing on this exhibition: A simulator of a river boat! I steered the ship through the channel. Wow, what a small gecko like me can do!!!

What a intersting day!

Love you, Mummy!

Hey Mummy, hey, Daddy, hey Paul, hey Dr.Kröbner and the others!

Last weekend we made something very special! You know there was neraly no rain in Germany in May. Hostmum was so sad, because nothing grew in her garden.
We decided to help her.

Hmmmmm, what to do???

Wolley had a great idea!

We could make a rain dance!

Wolley explained what we should do.

At first: build a circle

Second: Dance to the left

Third: Dance to the right

Fourth: pot with coal in the middle

Fifth: Fire the coal

Sixth: resin and other stuff on the coal

And I looked out of the window. I couldn´t believe it: It started to rain!

And the rain goes on

Hope you are back home savely!

Looooooooooooooooooooove you!

Hello to Delligsen!

Is it true? Today I fulfilled my first lifemission!

I invited the TVs to a teaparty!
But which tea should I serve? I chose the rooibos tea with vanilla flavour.

I had a lot of guests: Aaron, Cheerio, Wavy Gravy, Maeusle, Baerle and *Paul*

In the evening we sat down on the sofa and Maeusle read the book about the mouse, the duck and the blue elephant. Very interesting! I looked at the most exciting parts on myself  :D

Looooooove you, Mummy!

Yipieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhhhhh, my first life mission!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Hello Mummy!!!

It´s me again!

Today no teaparty, we had a lot of work! I helped in the garden. You know hostdad has a big garden and grows giant sequoias. Ok, the trees are young and therefore they are not so big as you expect when you hear "giant sequoia". But every big thing starts small ;)

I climbed on the tree and measured it. Wow, 1,5 meters or 5 feet high!

Then I helped to cut the grass. Baerle drove the tractor and I accelerated  :D

But then it was time to make a rest.

BTW: I saw that Tiffy learnt how to fly in Delligsen! Do you think I can fly in Delligsen, too???

Love you, Mummy!

Dear Mummy!

Today hostdad had a job for me! He said, I am allowed to open the envelope the postman brought. I wondered who will have a letter for me  :o

But then I saw that this was post from Delligsen! I was very excited! Oh Mummy! Souvenirs from Tiffy and your hoildays in Denmark were inside!

At first I looked at the photo of Tiffy and Dr.Kröbner and then we hissed the danish flagg (hmmmmmmm, who will win the match this evening???)

We looked at all the photos you made of Tiffy. I liked the one most when I sat on her knee  ;)

I am sooooo happy about your present! And hostdad and hostmum certainly, too  :D

Yours in love, Günther

Hello, everybody at home!

Today we made a trip to Nueremberg! I wanted to go by car but hostmum prefered the train  She bought a family card and so we could occupy four seats  :D
To shorten the time we read an interesting magazine about science.  B)

In Nueremberg we started our sightseeing tour at the opera house. Next stop: Lorenzkirche with a great view to the old emperor castle.

Then we came to the Hauptmarkt. This is the place where the world famous and oldest christmas market takes place in December. Can you see the balkony of the church? There stands the Christ Child while opening the market.  :o

That´s for today!

And: Daddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy:

Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!! *kiss*

Hello, Mummy, Daddy and everybody at home!

Today I was in Nueremberg one more! We had 2 things to do: help Baerle to buy his bike and free the big bear in front of the bears shop. We saw him yesterday but we had no idea how to help him. Today we rescued him! I was very proud and hostmum paid for a round of icecream!

Then it was time to go home again. IN the station of Nueremberg we saw a cute mosaic with symbols and flaggs of sevaral states. Do you know them all? I likes the symbol of Denmark most and I took a closer look to the mermaid *uuuuuuuuups*

Love you, Günther

SO much to see in this big city! Berlin is muuuuuuuuuuuuch bigger than Delligsen, Mummy! :stare: And so much famous sights! We watched the Reichstag, where the german parliament is located and the Brandenburg gate, where former the border between west and east was. But now you can move whereever you will go  B)

We met also a lot of TVs! Alex_Squirt and his guests met us in Berlin main station! Great to hear their stories!

Hello to Delligsen!

On our way back from Berlin we made a stop in the Miniworld in Lichtenstein, Saxony.

The first sight we visited was the castle Eltz in Rhineland-Palantinate. It wasn´t destroyed over the ages and shows the original status from the 12th century. We explored it and I must say, it was a wonderful experience!

Then we were back in Berlin for only two minutes  ;) See us in the garden of castle Sanssouci in Potsdam.
And once more in Berlin city in front of the Brandenburg Gate and the Siegessäule.

Time to leave Germany! Wavy Gravy, Bernie and me climbed up the Leaning Tower of Pisa  :stare: Uuuuups, I felt like drunken

Without any jetlag I reached India and the Taj Mahal!

Last station and coolest of all: The Sydney Opera House!

So we made a trip around the world in nearly one hour!

Have a nice weekend!

Hello folks,
I safely arrived at home, it was very comfortable to cuddle with Paul 2 , thank you hostdad  ;)

many faces looked at me as my box has been opened....Philly, B.o.B., Mr. Lemony, *coco*, Dr.Kröbner and my old friend Mr.Shaun.
I am just arrived at the right time,  tomorrow is a surgery and all rely on my expertise as an anesthetist, I  do not know how they come up with this idea, ok, I be well schooled in rum, and I also have a calming voice  ;)

Hi folks,

Last weekend we made a trip into the capital city of Germany – Berlin

I was the navigator on the road

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7265/7635267428_96644c4a15_z.jpg

dad had to take part by a sailingboat race on the Müggelsee.  I think it was something special…. I saw a lot of different numberplates from Europe at the cars and many crazy boats and peoples.

That was to thrilling for me and I persuade mum to go downtown Berlin.
After riding by bus and train we saw the river Spree

the Reichstag building, after its completion in 1999, it once again became the meeting place of the German parliament: the modern Bundestag.

In such a huge town it is impossible to visit the interesting places in one day, so we continue the sightseeing for the next two days.

on the top of the Berlin tv-tower 207 metres high

Suddenly, in a showcase I saw a blue shimmer, so nosey as I am I take a look and what´s that!!!!  Lots of blue plushy elephants…. and I feel in my bones I had seen tham before...and when I came closer I saw that there were a lot more plush friends....Alex_Squirt, Chalon, Crawfish, Fiete, DuDette, Gwenelle, Kuzma........

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7109/7635094294_08cd92ce68_z.jpg

We spend an exiting afternoon in a coffeebar with a lot of plushy stories from our journeys

Mommy!!! Didn't you notice that I'm not at home? Don't you miss me? I'm really confused!

In the morning after the meeting I got up very late. The whole time I heard familiar voices in the travelbag so I felt really relaxed. When I crawled out I realized that I wasn't at home! I was in the wrong bag! Didn't you notice that Mom? I don't remember what happened after the meeting.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1896.jpg

In the afternoon Alex showed us a postcard he got from his brother Phog who is in Finland. He told us about the finnisch language on the card: "Kesäterveiset Jyväskylästä!" Alex told us that "kesä" means "summer", "terveiset" means "greetings", Jyväskylä is the city where Phog is and the ending -stä means where it comes from. So the whole sentence (just 2 words!) means "Summergreetings from Jyväskylä". Mommy, I learnt some Finnish! :cyclops:

today Alex asked me what I visited the last weekend. I showed him on a map! I think he was confused!

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1902.jpg

Then he allowed me to take some driving lessons. It was funny, but I failed. Maybe I'll do my license!

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1603-1.jpg

In the evening I went to the famous Ku'damm (short form of Kurfürstendamm)! It is one of the most famous avenues in Berlin. The street takes its name from the former Kurfürsten (prince-electors) of Brandenburg. This very broad, long boulevard is full of shops, houses, hotels and restaurants. In particular, many fashion designers have their shops there! The avenue with four lines of plane trees runs for 3.5 km (2.2 mi) through the western Berlin.

Hello Mommy,

that little freaky hamster called Chalon left today for his first big journey! He is traveling to Bruchsal.

First he wrote a card for his new host. I was surprised that he's able to write!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1721-1.jpg

When he packed some chocolate into his bag Alex get angry. He told him to take candies instead of chocolate because of the heat.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1724-1.jpg

Fiete gave him a little cow as a talisman for his first journey and I gave him a book about his basic rights in the EU.

Hey Mommy,

we did a short stop-over in Halle/Saale, the largest city in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. Its early history is connected with harvesting of salt.
The town was first mentioned in 806. According to historic documents, the city of Halle has been a member of the Hanseatic League at least since 1281.
This is one of the shopping areas. In case of the heat there weren't so many people.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1610.jpg

The city is called "City of the 5 towers" and here you can see "the towers above the city" (as a building is named).
Four towers (on the left) belong to the Market Church St. Mary (Marktkirche), built in 1529–1554. It is using elements of two medieval churches, St. Gertrud Church dating back to the 11th Century and the older St. Mary Church from the 12th Century. The church has four steeples, the two western octagonal ones are called Blue Towers because of their dark blue slate roofing. The other two Hausmannstürme are connected by a bridge and on this bridge was the fire watch. The church owns as well the original death-mask of Martin Luther.
The big tower (on the right) is the Red Tower (Roter Turm), originally built as campanile of the older St. Mary Church between 1418 and 1503.
Roland (on the foot of the Red Tower, maybe you can see it), originally (13th century) a wooden sculpture representing the urban liberty. Today’s sculpture is a sandstone replica made in 1719.
And on the left, just a few steps away you can see a monument to George Frideric Handel, built in 1859.
The sun was not really helpfull in this pic. :stare:
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1617-1.jpg

On our way back home we took lots of pictures in the car!

Hey Mommy,

my first road trip with Alex' car!!! :cyclops:
First we traveled on a street next to a lake.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1707-1.jpg

Then we reached the freeway and Crawfish hit the gas!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1706-1.jpg

When we passed the lake Sachsenburg we did a short stop-over for a picture. You have to know that Fiete's life mission is to take pictures in front of lots of water.
This beautiful small lake is an abandoned coal mine which was flooded by domestic water.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1709-1.jpg

Then we went on by car and left the lake.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1713-1.jpg

We stopped near some flowers for a picnic.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1714-1.jpg

It was a special day for Crawfish, because she got her driver's license for Germany!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1715-1.jpg

Then Alex gave a heart to DuDette, that she always knows which DuDu is her hubby. She was a little bit confused when she heard there's another DuDu. DuDette and the real DuDu both have a heart on their stomach. ;)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1716.jpg

We enjoyed our picnic. Some of us got lemonade, some milk, a cake and fruits for all of us and a piece of cheese for the mouse.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1717-1.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1718-1.jpg

When we went back home after the picnic Alex and I decided to try out the new skateboards. We lashed the boards behind the car. What a fun!

Mommy,

we went to a border line! :cyclops:

Ok, it's just the border line of the rural district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld and the urban district of Dessau-Roßlau. Each sign of the districts show the emblem of the area.
Did you know that there are 295 rural districts in Germany, but only 107 urban districts?

"Welcome to the rural district of Anhalt-Bitterfeld"

"See you in Dessau-Roßlau" (They forgot the "urban district" on the sign!)

Hi Mommy,

as you know Crawfish got her driver's licence these days. Now all of us want to be allowed to drive cars. So Alex opened his own driving school!

Ladies first - DuDette started and did it perfect.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1729-1.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1730.jpg

Then it was Fiete's turn and he failed.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1732.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1733.jpg

Last but not least my turn. I was so fast that I couldn't stop.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1734-1.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1735-1.jpg

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1737-1.jpg

Then it was time to have some fun! We guys did a race on the skateboards. DuDette gave us a starting signal and Crawfish waited at the finish line. First I was the leader, but then I got a problem with my balance and fell off the board. Don't worry, I'm ok. So Alex won! The whole time Fiete didn't know how to start the board. :cyclops: It was a funny day!

Hey Mommy,

here are some more pictures of Berlin!

This is the Berliner Philharmonie, a concert hall and home to the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1798.jpg

Next to the Philharmonie you can find the St. Matthew's Church. The church is part of the Kulturforum which is a collection of cultural buildings in Berlin. It was dedicated in 1846.

Hey Mommy,

Alex got another lovely postcard from his brother Phog who's still in Finland.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1821.jpg

Later we all took one of the skateboards and went cruisin'. Then we saw somebody relaxing in Alex' canvas chair. He also had a beautiful skateboard!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1822.jpg

He told us his name is Casanova, Mister Casanova. He's Alex new brother.

Hello Mommy (oh and hello Daddy),

today we went to one of the major rivers of Central Europe - river Elbe.
It rises in northern Czech Republic, then passing Germany and flowing into the North Sea at Cuxhaven, 110 km northwest of Hamburg. Its total length is 680 miles (1,094km).
The Elbe's major tributaries include the Vltava, Saale, Havel, Mulde, Schwarze Elster and Ohre rivers.
The Elbe River basin, comprising the Elbe and its tributaries, has a catchment area of 57,247 sq miles (148,268 square kilometres), the fourth largest in Europe. The basin spans four countries, with its largest parts in Germany and the Czech Republic. Much smaller parts lie in Austria and Poland. The basin is inhabited by 24.5 million people.

Our host told us about the big flood in 2002. The river flows really fast, but I can't imagine that this beautiful river can do something like this! :o

Once again we've been to Dessau. Today we visited the fruit tree orchards and a vineyard which also belongs to the Dessau-Wörlitz Garden Realm.

A lion welcomed us warmly. He and his brother belong to the lion gate.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1851.jpg

Another gate. It's the knights gate. Isn't it romantic?

From the castle we had a viewshaft to Kühnau Lake, but there were too many mosquitos so we didn't go there. Can you see the water?

Hello Mommy,

look what I saw today!

We found a nice place for a picnic.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1901-1.jpg

And guess what... we ALL got our driver's license! Alex handed it out to us and Crawfish gave all of us a bottle of wine. Alex and Crawfish drank the rest of the bottles.

Hey Mommy,

today DuDette left.
We all cuddled her. May your journey be safe!

In the afternoon we found a treasure map. It was made by DuDette! :D
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1888.jpg

Pass the tree, meet the orange ball-flower, pass the pond and the sunflower, find the red vegetable and the red X...

Ok! We passed the tree...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1889-1.jpg

...found the orange flower...

...and the sunflower...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1891-1.jpg

...and finally found the tomato and the red X!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1893.jpg

We started to dig and after a while we found the treasure!

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1896-1.jpg

We went to another place to open it.
There was a coin, a flower, some gems and a big piece of cheese inside!

Hello to all at home!

What an exciting day! :D

This morning we jumped into the big car.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/IMG_7052.jpg

First we passed Lake Goitzsche. Can you see it?
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2000.jpg

We already knew this way. We've been here when we went to Halle.

We finally parked the car and whoohooo we are in one of the two largest cities in Saxony! This city is called Leipzig and it has about 530.000 inhabitants.
First we did a walk through the city.
This beautiful building hosts the Cafe Riquet.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2012.jpg

The St. Thomas Church (Thomaskirche) is a Lutheran church and most famous as the place where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a cantor.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2042.jpg

In the 18th century, Leipzig became the centre for trade with Polish and English goods. It was called "the marketplace of all Europe". In 1678/87, this stock exchange was built. In German it is called "Alte Handelsbörse".
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2054.jpg

Auerbach's Cellar is the best known and second oldest restaurant in Leipzig. It was described in Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's play Faust I, as the first place Mephistopheles takes Faust on their travels.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2067.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2064.jpg

The St. Nicholas Church (Nikolaikirche) has long been one of the most famous in Leipzig, and rose to national fame in 1989 with the Monday Demonstrations when it became the centre of peaceful revolt against communist rule. It was built around 1165.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2074.jpg

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2093.jpg

The Gewandhaus is a concert hall and the home of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. It is the 3rd Gewandhaus and opened on 8 October 1981, 200 years after the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra moved into the original hall (Gewandhaus 1).
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2169.jpg

The Central Station is Europe's largest railway station when measured by floor area (83,460 m²). It has 24 platforms housed in six iron trainsheds, a multi-level concourse with towering stone arches and a 293 metre-long facade. It handles an average of 150,000 passengers per day. :o
The station was used in the film "Shining Through"  (1992).
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2183.jpg

Now it was time for some new buildings...like the City-Hochhaus. It is 36-storey skyscraper. With its 466 ft (142m) it is the tallest multistory building in the city as well as the tallest in the former East Germany.
The building is nicknamed "wisdom tooth" (Weisheitszahn) or "university giant" (Uniriese). Maybe it's a good idea to go upstairs. ;)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2096.jpg

Finally on the top of the city! :cyclops:

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2145.jpg

Time for some more history!
We visited the Monument to the Battle of the Nations (Völkerschlachtdenkmal). It is a monument to the 1813 Battle of Leipzig, also known as the Battle of the Nations. Paid for mostly by donations and by the city of Leipzig, it was completed in 1913 for the 100th anniversary of the battle, at a cost of 6,000,000 Goldmark.
The monument commemorates Napoleon's defeat at Leipzig.
The structure is 299 ft (91m) tall and it contains over 500 steps to a viewing platform at the top. The structure makes extensive use of concrete although the facings are of granite. The monument is widely regarded as one of the best examples of Wilhelmine architecture.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2269.jpg

Finally arrived on the lower platform.

On our way home we saw Lake Goitzsche again!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2295.jpg

Look, this is an old East-German car called Wartburg. These are not produced anymore for about 20 years!

Hello Mommy & Daddy,

we did some sports today! This time we didn't use our skateboards, we borrowed one which we could use all together. We cruised along the Europe Bicycle Path "R1" for a few kilometers. It's a 3500km bicycle route through Europe, starting in Boulogne-sur-Mer (France) and finishing in Saint Petersburg (Russia).
We used the part around the lake Gremminer See, a lake created as a result of the redevelopment of the former brown coal strip mine of Golpa-Nord and on whose shore is found the Ferropolis ("the city of iron" ) industrial memorial, actually a museum dedicated to "industrial culture".

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1935.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1936.jpg

We passed a big field full of sunflowers!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1939.jpg

After a while we found this red box! Alex told us it's called lunch box!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1941.jpg

We climbed up the lunch box and enjoyed the view.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1942.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1946.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1953.jpg

The lake is still not full. It will be flooded until the end of this year.
Around 30 years ago there was a village on this place instead of the lake!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1956.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1959.jpg

Then we went on cruising. After 4km we found another lunch box! This one was yellow. Alex told us there's also a blue one somewhere...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1969.jpg

As you can see there was nobody around the lake except us!

Hello to my beloved ones at home!

Today we found a mystical box. There were nice pictures and strange symbols on it!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2449.jpg

While we realized that the pictures were stamps we didn't notice that somebody was watching us! :o

It's little Sunny from China! Now we know that these strange symbols on the box were Chinese letters! :D

Hello Mommy,

time for another road trip by car!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2471.jpg
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2472.jpg

After traveling a while we noticed something big in front of us...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2473.jpg

We stopped the car and started walking.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2474.jpg

Wow, it was a big cow! We tried to talk to it, but it didn't notice us.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2475.jpg

Hmm, Fiete is a cow, too! So he jumped on the big fat nose of that big cow and talked to it in cow language.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2476.jpg

After a while Fiete told us that we are allowed to ride on the big cow. :D
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2477.jpg

From this height we could see so much more than from the ground! In a short distance we saw another big animal! We wanted to get closer.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2478.jpg

We jumped off the cow and walked to the other animal. It was a sheep.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2479.jpg

Hello Mommy,

it was really sunny today, so we decided to go to the lake. We went to Lake Goitzsche which is created as a result of the redevelopment of the former brown coal strip mine of Goitzsche. In 1998 they started to flood the old coal strip mine with the water of the river Mulde and they planned to finish this in 2006. But in 2002 during the big flood the dike of the river broke and the lake was full within 2 days! This is an area of 13,32 km²! :o
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2549.jpg

There's also a marina at the lake with so many yachts! We could rent one and sail over the lake and along the coast which is 66km in length! :o
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2551.jpg

The lake is also called Lake of amber... ;)
But I couldn't find any amber, just these colored houses.

Oh, I forgot the suncream. I think I got a sunburn. B)

Mommy! Daddy! What the...!!!

Yesterday when we were at this lake I saw a corsair! :cyclops:
I didn't tell anything to the others but this ship will be MINE!

So I went back and had a look for the corsair. Look, isn't it beautiful?
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2563.jpg

And this beautiful blackjack on the mast! B)
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2564.jpg

Hmmm, they all will be terrifying pirates? Are they sure?
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2565.jpg

I sat down and watched them for a while. Non of them have sabers nor any other weapons. I think this will be easy for me to board the ship. :D
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2566.jpg

In this part of the ship I could create a room for lots of pirate parties!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2567.jpg

They are all in the front part of the ship. So I will start to board from behind...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2568.jpg

WHAT'S THIS??? WHO IS THIS??? Oh gosh! The captain is wearing a saber and other weapons which I don't have! :o

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2578.jpg

Mommy, visit me! I need your help!

Until you are here I start to board the hawser of the corsair! :cyclops:

Hello Mommy!

Today we visited Bitterfeld, a small town with about 15.300 inhabitants. During the GDR years, it gained notoriety for its chemical industry complex which caused remarkably severe pollution, even by GDR standards.
Look, there was a movie filmed in this city!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2581.jpg

There's not so much to see, esp. on Sunday when everything is closed.
At the market place you can see the protestant church St. Antonius. It was built from 1905–1910.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG2504.jpg

The city hall is also near the market place. It was built from 1863–1865. This is the back of the house without the trees in the pic. ;)

Then he crawled into his envelope. His next stop is Switzerland.

Mommy, Mommy, Moooommy!!!

I saw a volcanic eruption in the middle of Germany!!! :o

This is the volcano "Vesuv" (also called "Stone" ). It is an imitation of the original Vesuv in Italy and the onliest artificial volcano all over the world! This one was built from 1788–94 and it still works the same way like it did in the 18th century!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG0938.jpg

First there was an explosion. Whaaa it was so loud! You even could't here your own voice!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG0983-1.jpg

Ok, these days they have a little bit more pyrotechnics than 200 yrs. ago, but the way the red lava runs down is the same! Can you see it running down from the top along the red lights into the lake?

Hey Mommy,

today we had some cultures...

First we walked around the castle and the park. The Gardens had its origin in the 17th century, when the marriage of Leopold's great-grandfather Prince John George II of Anhalt-Dessau to the Dutch princess Henriette Catharina, in 1659 brought a team of engineers and architects from the Low Countries to lay out the town, the palace and a Baroque garden in the former settlement of Nischwitz, which was renamed Oranienbaum in 1673. The Dutch influence remained prevalent in the Principality of Anhalt-Dessau for many decades. Oranienbaum Palace was finished in 1683 as the summer residence of Henriette Catharina, where she retired after the death of her husband in 1693. From 1780 on Duke Leopold III had the palace and the park rebuilt in a Chinese style with several arch bridges, a tea house and a pagoda. In 1811, the orangery was built, with 175 m (574 ft) in length one of the largest in Europe, which still serves to protect a wide collection of citrus plants.

The front...

...the back.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1185-3.jpg

The fruits (oranges and lemons) mellow.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1175-2.jpg

We also went into the castle! We visited the Dutch Design exhibition which takes part for a few months. It was opened by the Queen of the Netherlands. :cyclops:

We bought some tickets where we didn't have to pay the full price and a permission for taking pictures inside! :D
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1220.jpg

It was really interesting and so much to see on 3 floors! :o
Some vases...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1081.jpg

...and a lovely lamp.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1047-1.jpg

It's time for dinner!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1023-1.jpg

They had chicken in the cellar! Ok, no real ones...
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/RIMG1152-2.jpg

I think I could need a new dress...

Hello Mommy,

how are you? Here the weather isn't the best: sun - rain - sun - rain - hail...

Today when we came home we found 2 envelopes. Crawfish tried to read the address.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1231.jpg

One was from Australia and one from you, Mom! When the others opened the big foreign envelope I tried to crawl into your envelope to find out what you sent.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1232.jpg

There was somebody crawling out of the big envelope! It's Kevin, a little Kiwi from the other side of the world.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1233.jpg

He told us about his journey. Then he went back into his envelope. We all thought he doesn't like us.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1234.jpg

But he came back with a postcard and a keyring from his home. :D
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1235.jpg

Then he helped me to get out the stuff from your envelope.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1236.jpg

I got my traveltag. I am so happy!

Alex told us about a problem he has with a mouse. He decided to built a trap and needed our help.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1278-1.jpg

We put some cheese and sausage in the trap. Mice like that.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1279-1.jpg

Then we hid ourselves behind a tree and waited.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1280.jpg

After a while we saw someone in the trap.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1281-1.jpg

We caught it!!!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1282.jpg

We let the trap down and oh... it wasn't a mouse. It was Alex' brother Rudy.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1283-1.jpg

We told him about the mouse and the trap and tried it again. We hid ourselves again behind the tree.
After a short time there was somebody else in the trap.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1284.jpg

We caught that creature!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1285.jpg

When we let the trap down we found just 2 golden coins instead of a mouse or cheese or sausage in the trap.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1286-1.jpg

Rudy told us to use some pumpkin seeds, mice would love them. So we did.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1287-1.jpg

We went behind the tree and after a short time we saw someone in the trap again.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1288.jpg

We caught it! Yeah, we could see the feet. We got it!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1289-1.jpg

We let the trap down and...what the...just another golden coin?! How could this be??? Alex is confused now!

Hello Mommy,

today we enjoyed our day at the lake "Gurke" ("cucumber" ). The original name is "Abandoned quarry Golpa II". The lake has a size of 20,94 hectare! It was an opencast for brown coal from 1936 till 1957. Now it is full of groundwater. Lots of people like to swim, do fishing or dive. Some people say that there are old trees under the water, but I don't believe that! At the lake is also a rowing club.

Hey Mommy,

time for some sightseeing in the German capital.

First I saw the German Bundestag which is located in the Reichstag Building. The centrepiece of the building is the generously glazed chamber that is crowned by the dome. A funnel with panes of mirror glass reflects the daylight from above into the chamber.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1331.jpg

Then I saw one of the most well-known landmarks of Berlin and Germany, the Brandenburg Gate.

Near the Brandenburg Gate I found the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, also known as the Holocaust Memorial. It is a memorial to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust. It consists of a 19,000 square metres site covered with 2,711 concrete slabs or "stelae", arranged in a grid pattern on a sloping field. The stelae are 2.38 m long, 0.95 m wide and vary in height from 0.2 to 4.8 m.

Potsdamer Platz - it is an important public square and traffic intersection in the centre of Berlin. It is named after the city of Potsdam, some 25 km to the south west, and marks the point where the old road from Potsdam passed through the city wall of Berlin at the Potsdam Gate. After developing within the space of little over a century from an intersection of rural thoroughfares into the most bustling traffic intersection in Europe, it was totally laid waste during World War II and then left desolate during the Cold War era when the Berlin Wall bisected its former location. Since German reunification, Potsdamer Platz has been the site of major redevelopment projects.

The Sony Center is a Sony-sponsored building complex located at the Potsdamer Platz, opened in 2000. Sony Center contains a mix of shops, restaurants, a conference centre, hotel rooms, luxurious rented suites and condominiums, offices, art and film museums, cinemas, an IMAX theater, a small version of Legoland, and a "Sony Style" store.
At its highest point, the roof measures up to 67 meters above the Forum and has a free span of 102 meters length on the main axis and 77 meters length on the ancillary axis. By night the roof changes its colors between pink, red, blue, green...

Hey Mommy,

today we went to the river Mulde. It is a river in Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, a left tributary of the river Elbe and 124 km in length.
In August 2002 a flood caused severe damage! All places we were at these pictures were flooded in 2002, too!

Hello Mommy,

we did a sightseeing tour through the neighbor village. The city is called Gräfenhainichen and it had its first documentary mention in 1254. The first printing shop was set up in 1874. As of 1890, brown coal was being mined in Gräfenhainichen, first underground, and then in strip mines.

As it is a city they also have lots of horses all around the city. Can you see the white one behind me?
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1425.jpg

We found one of the 3 wind mills of the city. This one is from the 19th century and worked until 1963.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1433.jpg

This is the only little pond in the city. It's called Vorstadtteich (in English "suburban pond" ). There are lots of ducks.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1440.jpg

This is the ruin of the old castle. It was built in the 12th/13th century on the ruin of an older castle. It was destroyed in 1637 during the Thirty Years' War by the Swedes. No one ever rebuilt it. We couldn't go inside, it's only open when the open air theater is used for festivals.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1446.jpg

This is the town hall. It was built between 1695-1699.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1448.jpg

There are 2 towers in Gräfenhainichen. This is the upper city tower. It was reconstructed in 1448 with some other fortifications. It was also used as a jail for a while. There's also a lower city tower, but we couldn't take a picture.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1455.jpg

Next to the upper city tower we found a long piece of the old city wall.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1460.jpg

This is the highest building of the city - the Protestant church "Sankt Marien". It was also destroyed by the Swedes in 1637, but it was rebuilt from 1658 to 1666. The tower was built in 1867/68. The church got its origins in the Romanesque and Gothic.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1464.jpg

The water tower was built in 1927. The bubble design was the idea of a classmate of my host!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1469.jpg

One of the sons of the city is Paul Gerhardt. We visited the Paul-Gerhardt-House which was built from 1907 to 1909. It serves as a places of public assembly for the Protestants.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1477.jpg

Another son of the city is Johann Gottfried Galle. He was the first person to view the planet Neptune in 1846! This is the Galle monument which was built in 1977 for all his work.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1483.jpg

The last famous person of the city is Hugo Winckler, but we couldn't find anything about him.

We went to the Mosigkau castle. The castle is one of the few Rococo palaces in Central Germany, resembling Sanssouci at Potsdam, which had been designed by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff. It was built between 1752 and 1757 for Anna Wilhelmine of Anhalt-Dessau, the daughter of Prince Leopold I. The ensemble includes an orangery and an art collection of Flemish Baroque painting, stemming from Duke John George's II union with the House of Orange-Nassau, that features works by Peter Paul Rubens and Anthony van Dyck.
Around the castle we found a lovely garden and some sheep. Isn't it a lovely place?!

Hello Mommy,

today we went to another castle.
John George (1748-1811), a younger brother of Duke Leopold III, had the Georgium Castle erected from 1780 by Erdmannsdorff. Located in a riparian woodland in the north of Dessau, the palace features an English garden with several monuments. Today the Georgium hosts the Anhalt collection of art, including works by Albrecht Dürer - especially an old master print of his Melencolia I - and Lucas Cranach the Elder.

Hey Mommy,

today we went to another castle. It's the Wörlitz Palace and it was finished in 1773. This palace was the residence of Duke Leopold and his wife Louise of Brandenburg-Schwedt. It was the first Neoclassical building in present-day Germany. The palace and its interior with valuable cabinets from the studio of Abraham and David Roentgen as well as a large collection of Wedgwood porcelain were publicly accessible.

Hey Mommy,

once again on tour...
We visited the Oranienbaum Palace which was finished in 1683 as the summer residence of Henriette Catharina, where she retired after the death of her husband in 1693. The rich furnishing includes leather wallpapers and a dining room equipped with Delft tiles. From 1780 on Duke Leopold III had the palace and the park rebuilt in a Chinese style, according to the theories of Sir William Chambers, with several arch bridges, a tea house and a pagoda. In 1811, the orangery was built, with 175 m (574 ft) in length one of the largest in Europe, which still serves to protect a wide collection of citrus plants. Oranienbaum Palace together with the park and the geometrical settlement conception forms one of the few original Dutch Baroque town layouts in Germany. Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, Princess of Orange-Nassau, has been there in 2004 and 2012!

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1428-1.jpg

After a while we found the Luisium castle. It was a gift from Duke Leopold III to his wife Louise and it was built from 1774 in a plain Neoclassical style as a country home according to plans by Erdmannsdorff with adjacent gardens, pastures and a stud farm. Leopold died at the castle on August 9, 1817 from the consequences of a riding accident. It's the smallest of all castles we saw!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1453-1.jpg

So we did what we had to do! Packing everything important into our car.
We need something to eat and drink and plates, of course. I said we should take some of the pirate gold with us. Maybe we have to pay something. GustavHH is sure we need the canvas chair, if the sun will shine. We also need our skateboards and our driving lesson cars to cruise around.

Hey Mommy,

I arrived in Cologne, the fourth-largest city of Germany! It is located on both sides of the Rhine River.
First I went to the Cologne Cathedral (officially High Cathedral of St. Peter). It is a Roman Catholic church and the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne and the administration of the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and is a World Heritage Site. It is Germany's most visited landmark, attracting an average of 20,000 people a day.
Construction of Cologne Cathedral commenced in 1248 and was halted in 1473, leaving it unfinished. The work restarted in the 19th century and was completed in 1880. It is 144.5 metres (474 ft) long, 86.5 m (284 ft) wide and its towers are approximately 157 m (515 ft) tall. The cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires and largest facade of any church in the world.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG0684.jpg

This is the City Hall and it is Germany's oldest city hall with a documented history spanning some 900 years.

The ancient cigarette factory houses now the bureau of vital statistics of Cologne.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG0704.jpg

I found these lovely houses in the historic center of the city. Aren't they cute?!
Behind these houses you can see the Great Saint Martin Church. It is a Romanesque Catholic church and its foundations (circa 960 AD) rest on remnants of a Roman chapel.

The Rhine is a river that flows from the Swiss Alps to the North Sea coast in the Netherlands and is the twelfth longest river in Europe, at about 1,233 km (766 mi). It's huge!

Hey Mommy,

I made it to another country!
I'm now in Amsterdam, the largest city and capital of the Netherlands.

First we visited the Amsterdam Centraal, the central train station of the city. It is also one of the main railway hubs of the Netherlands and is used by 250,000 passengers a day! It first opened in 1889 and was designed by Pierre Cuypers and A. L. van Gendt.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG0883.jpg

This building is a big shopping center. It's located on the opposite of the palace. As the palace isn't really beautiful, we decided to take a picture of this house!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG0943.jpg

I really like the design of all these houses! And they are all very old.

Can you see the wind engine? This is where we want to go.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1142.jpg

Finally arrived!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1147.jpg

This wind engine is huge!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1155.jpg

And there are so many more!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1156.jpg

We had a wonderful view. Lots of forests. But far far away we could see the highest building of Leipzig!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1168.jpg

Can you see the little chimney at the horizon? Normally it's a really high chimney! But now it looks so small!
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1177.jpg

While we were walking around and enjoying our view our host found some "Slippery Jack" mushrooms. When we were home she cooked the mushrooms for us! So yummy!

Hey Mom,

I visited the famous tv tower "Fernsehturm". It was constructed between 1965 and 1969 and with its height of 368 meters, it is the tallest structure in Germany. There is a visitor platform and a revolving restaurant in the middle of the sphere. The tower is part of the World Federation of Great Towers (WFGT).

Hey Mommy,

we were hard workers today! We helped our host in the garden.
Petunia dug a hole with a really big spade.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1382.jpg

Then we put some seeds of zinnia flowers in the hole.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1383.jpg

Petunia closed the hole and GustavHH raked the terra. Now we hope the flowers will bloom next year.

Hello Mommy,

Alex left a bag of sweets for us on the table. We all were really excited about it! The sweets are called "Knusperflocken" (crunchy flakes). These are made of rye crispbread with milk chocolate.
http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m49/ma_17/Toyvoyager/Tv_01/RIMG1389.jpg

Alex gave all of us a plate and put one flake for each of us on it.

We picked them up with the spade as we had no knife.

Eastereggs!

After Breakfast we went out . What great luck, we found a cluster

with eastereggs and chocobunnys

yummy….    But what´s that! In front of a tree we discover

something with plushy brown collar. It was the easterbunny! Poor

boy, he wanted to rent a snowmobile for his easterjob, but all

mobiles were out of stock. So he started by ski, but unfortunately

he lost one and now he has got stucked.

Hey folks, it´s me,Günther!, and  I´m seized with the wanderlust again

to discover foreign countrys. ;)

But at first I had to check the travel budget….. hmmmm…. I´ve to be

shure that nobody is looking at me now….. I should chek my

treasure……. The savest keeper for a treasure are angles -

fundamentally honest - …ahhh…. Here is the box…..

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3748/9326924862_2bbb5feecb_z_d.jpg

carefully open…..

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2879/9324128961_a234237771_z_d.jpg

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3833/9324127155_fe5dc5b77e_z_d.jpg

counting…..hmmmm….I thougth it should be much more……it´s probably

not enough to charter a 50ft.yacht with a solid stock of pure jamaika rum…..

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7400/9326919644_55d76bfbd9_z_d.jpg

And where do I travel now? Let me take a look to the travel guides in

the library. Hmmm … no extraordinary cheap country…. It seems I´ve to

travel by envelope again….. :(

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2832/9324122451_f8cf97bc2e_z_d.jpg

Now I´m a little bit unsure if I should trust the angles again (even they

look so innocent)… I´ll ask Hase, if she will supervise the angles keeping

my treasure for the duration of the journey ( she also looks very innocent) ……..

Hello from Berlin!

Today I arrived at QuamQuam's place. But someone was faster than me: It's HolgiHH! Now we two guys are ready to explore Berlin! HolgiHH welcomed me together with Feli, the cat which lives here. She is so cute :). Then I went through the flat a bit. I saw a strange poster on the wall and enjoyed the view out of the window.
It is so hot here! I think the very big adventures have to wait a bit...

Hi Mum,

today HolgiHH and I went on the balcony to have a look at the beautiful flowers there. We could sit on some plants, climb a tree and we even found a strawberry! I helped HolgiHH to get it and he shared the strawberry with me. It was yummy! :D

The best thing today was that QuamQuam promised us a big adventure soon! I'm really looking forward to it.

Love you

Light, camera, ACTION!

We had a great day at the Filmpark in Babelsberg. It is a big area where you can see many different things connected with movies: How they are produced, costumes of the actors, movie sets and much more. Because we started our journey early in the morning we were very hungry when we arrived. So we visited a restaurant called "Restaurant Prinz Eisenherz (Prince Valiant)" The name was inspired by the movie of the same name. Inside it was dark and we felt like we were in the Middle Ages.

After that we had a look at the statues of fantasy creatures and other things from different movies. Maybe you know some of them ;).
The movie sets were so impressive! Most of them were copied like the fountain from the movie "Der kleine Muck ( The little Muck)". But the little witch house was really used in a movie: "Hänsel und Gretel (Hansel and Gretel)". The sweets on it looked so real :o.

Then we made a boat tour through "Panama". This country is part of a story for children written by Janosch. It was beautiful there with all the green plants and the funny animals around us :D.
There were so many more things to see! We visited a wild west town and a very scary place, brrrr. But see yourself.

Hello, here I am again! :)

I visited the German-American Fair today. It was near the central railway station of Berlin, so we took some photos of it. It is so big, really amazing!
But the fair itself was cool, too. Just look at the roller coaster! And there were so many other rides. Later we looked for something to eat in the American part of the fair. We ate fried cauliflower, it was yummy!

Hi everyone!

Shopping time! Today we went to the "Eastgate", a big shopping center. QuamQuam needed warm clothes for the cold seasons. I have to admit that it was a bit boring. But because we were so patient HolgiHH and I got a whole chocolate bar back home! This was a very nice reward :D
Later that day QuamQuam took us to a market hall where we could try many different meals from different countries. This was a great experience because everything was sooo yummy.

I hope you had a nice day, too :)

Anyway, in a few days I'll find out. I hope it is something amazing :)
I gave HolgiHH a huge hug and climbed into my envelope.

……… boring…..to boring for a gecko like me….. Fortunately I discover a norwegian quayside bar ….. and I enter…….hmmm,  dimly lit and awesome objekts at the counter….the right atmosphere for me.
As they notice me, suddenly the noise from the guests stops…. It seems, they havn´t seen a seagecko before… As more I told from my adventures on the seven seas on board the QM2, as more the ice is melting between the seagecko and this nice awesome people; and one beer follow the other ….than ginn  ännd woadkka  ännd rrrummmm…..ääännt mooor pjuur  rrummmm ….hicks…
Äännnht  tshee losst oofff mmmaaii  mmotshherrrrrlängguiitsch…hicks…..

The steward told me, that  a hand full of awesome objekts entered the QM2 last night to bring  a gecko home and he reported me from the pub brawl he read in the norwegain newspaper  “Dagens Næringsliv” this morning….. that can explain my headache this morning.. B)

after another day on the rough sea, we arrived back in Hamburg

Hello folks,

Christmastime is coming and all around the people are busy with decoration and illumination. We too!Dr. Kröbner want to arrange a cristmastree and need our assistance.
But where we can get a Christmastree and how did he looks like? Mr. Lemony sayed that he has seen some trees in mums orangerie, ;)

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7343/11582247224_bc5e7dfa0b_z_d.jpg

so we risk a view inside. Indeed, there were some plants, but which we could use for a christmastree?

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7394/11582120263_1fb2b42748_z_d.jpg

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2843/11582115223_d30bde03eb_z_d.jpg

http://farm6.staticflickr.com/5539/11582692676_ccc2235c0b_z_d.jpg

So we decided to vote by selecting every ones favorit. The result was without anny doubt, we would take the tree in the middle.

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2812/11582226294_ab9707077f_z_d.jpg

Now the next problem: how to carry it from the orangerie in the livingroom?
After several recommendations they try to permute my  idea: to manage it like the Viking, with logs. First we need a wooden beam and a strong rope to build a lifting arm.

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2825/11582220084_f27a2bb128_z_d.jpg

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7332/11582215044_52b486184c_z_d.jpg

With united power we managed it to lift the bucket of the tree at the backside, while *coco* and Phog … could place a log behind the baseplate. At next the biggest of us had to luffing on a lever to lift the baseplate at the frontside for placing a secound log behind the plate.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7348/11581872395_30ac56144f_z_d.jpg

After we managed this diffucult parts  Scruffy and Dr.Kröbner pulling the rope . *coco* ,Mr.Lemony and Gwen Jolies job was, to lay new logs in the front of the baseplate.

It works surprisingly good! Wavy Gravy was supervising the experiment ;). After a while we passed the corridor….

.....Next day, early morning: Christmastreedecoration.
At Hostmums attic we found some knitted balls and other oddities and place it into the Christmastree in expectation of big presents ;)

http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2837/11582595016_147270a201_z_d.jpg

At christmaseve:

We hearded a big noise like stamping and rumbling. Dr. Kröbner means,  it could be St. Claus.
5 minutes after the noises stopped we enter the livingroom and indeed, the cristmastree was surrounded by presentsand Dr. Kröbner started to distribute them and we unwrap our packets
