I am a Winner!

I won the one and only prize of the lottery -- my travel tag!

Noisy has got an invitation for sending one of her TVs on the ETVT, and she couldn't choose one herself. All possible candidates were very cute and each one has its own character.
So we decided to make a lottery, the one and only prize was the traveltag. Fiete was my fortune. My sister Joesy was the first with congratulation.

Hi mum,
Graham and I are cooking a very Italian dish: pasta!
Look how skilful we are!

We need these ingredients:

- tomato and grillaed aubergines
- a few onion and garlic
- pasta

firs of all we put onion and garlic in a pan, then we add vegetables.
We put our pasta in a pot full of boiling water and we wait a few minutes.

Our pasta is ready to be eaten!
Bye,
YoYo

Hello from Eisenach!

This town is about 15km from the village and my host
goes there quite often. Today she showed me a little of the town
famous for Luther and Bach.

We started at the Bach House, a museum today. You can see the
old part where Johann Sebastian Bach was supposedly born. A new
house was added some time ago.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020563.jpg

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020559.jpg

Then we went to the Luther House, where Martin Luther lived when
he was a school child. It is a museum today, too.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020565.jpg

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020568.jpg

We carried on and went to the market square with the Georgen
Church.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020570.jpg

And this is me in front of the town hall.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020554.jpg

Last but not least I saw the smallest house in Eisenach. It has a
width of only 2,05m and is about 250 years old. It is the smallest
half timbered house in Germany that people still live in!

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f244/iloveletters/YoYo/P1020558.jpg

On our way back to the car we came across this fellow.

It is interesting that Leonardo da Vinci also lived here for 3 years. He was invited to move here from Italy and lived in the Chateau du Clos Lucé before he died.
I love the exhibition on his models of flying machines, military machines and so on.

Our last stop in France was Nancy. My favourite was the Place Stanislas with the town hall.

It is a nice day so my host and her family went to Llandudno, a town on the north Wales coast.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-yaP3g9TEcMQ/UEozA6RNxPI/AAAAAAAAHEQ/DoOaHlaQnDY/s500/cable2.jpg
There is a hill, and an easy way to get up and down it (when it isn't too windy) - by cable car.It can get windy - do you see the wind turbines out at sea?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Ss0wEywfm4w/UEozEl204QI/AAAAAAAAHEY/3vCw3C-udds/s500/cable3.jpg
Another easy way is up via the tram.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-IAoXSlRKhYE/UEozRF7L5zI/AAAAAAAAHEw/zFN40acXZoY/s500/cable6.jpg
One is going up, and another is coming down.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-JDAgQbC1zrc/UEozWBsNLPI/AAAAAAAAHE4/rGNOAgANBzQ/s500/cable7.jpg
There's a copper mine.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/--yMyFvqOsF4/UEozaKEFXtI/AAAAAAAAHFA/tQaS0sk_QA4/s500/cable8.jpg
In the distance, is the town of Conwy on the River Conwy.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jVlDpdmsFN0/UEozc3lBDKI/AAAAAAAAHFI/KOs_3yyj08I/s500/cable9.jpg
The sea is calm.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-NZ7TrbL0eLI/UEozhr575SI/AAAAAAAAHFQ/RpAq-it--2w/s500/cable10.jpg
There's the tram again.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k4BkzpWwZYk/UEozmp9eTfI/AAAAAAAAHFY/LeE72-L-NZk/s500/cable11.jpg
There's the offshore windfarm.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-hUFCh7b1eZs/UEoz6L31jDI/AAAAAAAAHGA/8IubaptFIho/s500/cable16.jpg
There is Llandudno pier.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-oWAI0J_JPJE/UEoz-wHNsPI/AAAAAAAAHGI/pyXUROS3maQ/s500/cable17.jpg
There is a dry ski slope, and a toboggan run.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-IeD-ypPTcBY/UEo0IIFHvfI/AAAAAAAAHGY/FJ5iQVg7j6g/s500/cable19.jpg
There's a rubber ring thing too.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-6nTJ6051raA/UEo0PYvUz9I/AAAAAAAAHGo/KS2utshBIuA/s500/cable21.jpg
The pier is getting closer.

We have come on holiday!
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-JL70I4ysaco/UEo3nDQNJaI/AAAAAAAAHM0/PkN8AYwMh6s/s500/tbridge3.jpg
This is Middlesborough's Transporter Bridge. We were too late to go on it last night.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-W-Y7GfR1BAg/UEo3uWXSfYI/AAAAAAAAHM8/amHw6GjrVcs/s500/tbridge4.jpg
There is room for upto 9 cars, and footpassengers stay in the sides.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-xMzGq-vUo4A/UEo4INUG_1I/AAAAAAAAHNU/PqEJldx_ips/s500/tbridge8.jpg
However, we've come back today and are allowed to go on this. Getting ready to leave.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VadC5dh9mCM/UEo4nJFjBHI/AAAAAAAAHN8/LZMaNkhqL4o/s500/tbridge13.jpg
The journey across was quick.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-eR8sCxCiLy0/UEo4sD0J8oI/AAAAAAAAHOE/_IGSR3gTiFo/s500/tbridge14.jpg
The deck has already returned to the other side.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-EAzCvebuHkc/UEo4-XY7t2I/AAAAAAAAHOc/XAHGNQFwmIo/s500/tbridge17.jpg

Nearly there.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-r3bISBR3u38/UEo5Qr9p22I/AAAAAAAAHO0/fLx10zh12Hg/s500/tbridge20.jpg
We'd better get back so we can make the return trip.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-IEj4y18xNIU/UEo5nm2SMGI/AAAAAAAAHPU/fh_lNLkyrkg/s500/tbridge24.jpg
Near the bridge is a museum, but we didn't take any photographs. We came back out to see the deck coming back.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-fDaVlErL5uM/UE5IFE1UwfI/AAAAAAAAHao/BVV7Kd-TZw8/s500/tb1.jpg
It has gone back across the river.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-9GUBbYbTIUU/UE5Au_ii7NI/AAAAAAAAHZU/3OaAkJ4u1r4/s500/tb9.jpg
This is a great view from the side to see the bridge in action.

Hi Mom!

I have arrived here in Austria, but I will be on my way again soon.
My hostmom told me that we are soon off to Brussels.

So, no need to open up my suitcase!

Hi Mom!

I have arrived in Brussels! The city of chocolate  B)

We did some sightseeing around the inner city, watched the painters on Grand Place, wandered around the streets.
We did some window shopping to look for presents to take home with us. We also saw Maneken Pis - a rather unusual fountain  ;) and some of his costumes. Belgium is also known for the comics, and you can find them as murals on the houses!

There were some beautiful old houses and also nice looking parks, where I smelled some roses!
We then enjoyed tea in a small street café.

Bye for now!

Hi Mom!

Here I am at work with my hostmom! I helped answering the phone, made some copies, helped to type stuff...

I also met two new friends: A Swiss cow and a frog called Jean-Pascal.

They made a boring day at the office fun :) and then I discovered the sweet stuff  ;)

Servus!

Hi Mom!

Today we were invited to a dinner for a little celebration.
