Hi dad,
after a long journey I arrived in the village Neuenbeken that belongs to Paderborn. When you had left the post office I had decided to leave the parcel you had put me in and started travelling by train, bus and hitchhiking  B)
The first stage was great but then there was no train and no bus...I had to go on travelling by foot  :cyclops:
But I had luck: wandering along some rivers I found an abandoned ship  :D So I could sail up to Neuenbeken! The last kilometre I had to pull the ship but then I reached the garden of hostmum's home where some figures stared at me. Coming nearer I explained them who I am and told them about my journey and they intoduced themselves: Mefito, OleOrangescarf, Josie and SunnyHH.
They looked at the ship and suddenly Mefito recognized that it was the ship of his brother Störte which he had lost on his journey from Austria to Remscheid! What a chance!!
We went in and sat together talking about our adventures while eating the yummy hamburgers I brought with me.I'm sure we'll become good friends!
See you dad

Hi dad,
when we looked out of the window this morning everything was white! The first snow in Paderborn this winter!  :D
OF COURSE we wanted to go out immediately, grabbed our scarfs...ready! First we made four snowangels
Then we started to built up a snowman: the girls made a small snowball, we boys a bigger one and all together the biggest. Stacking up the snowballs was not easy but of course we managed it  :) It's a very nice snowman, isn't it?
At last my friend OleOrangescarf and me made the girls happy pulling them on the toboggan.
Then we went in and sat together drinking hot tea with honey and eating yummy cakes...

Hi dad,
today we drove to the spa Bad Pyrmont for visiting a friend of hostmum.
We walked into the great spa gardens with many old trees, some old avenues, nice lakes and pavilions. How great it would be to visit this park in the spring or in the summer!
There was an old castle in the park with a very old vault and surrounded by water...and an Castle-café in which we had very yummy cakes  :p
In the inner courtyard we met a funny guy standing on his head  :D
And at last we visited two enchanting statues...one for the boys  and one for the girls

Hi dad,
today we went on a walk for visiting friends of hostparents who live in the middle of the forest near Neuenbeken.
On the first picture you can see where we roughly wanted to go to.
On our way we saw some nice heralds of spring. Looking back we could see hostparent's home village Neuenbeken and in front of us the forest began.
After a while we took a rest on a tree stump full of moss and on a natural 'stonework' which showed how stony is the ground round Paderborn.
The weather was great as you can see  :)
After one and a half hour we reached the half-timbered house.

So we sat in front of the laptop and compared the postcard with the travelogs of *Nick* and Störte cause now we could see for certain the places they visited.

after a yummy breakfast we started to the North Sea and today noon we arrived hostuncle's flat in Jever at the North Sea.
We were warmly welcomed by Zebresel and Paul the mouse who invited us to sit on the balcony.
After a while we drove to the coast and had a first look to the Sea. Great  :D
We sat there on the beach...only watching without talking...
And we found a sand castle in which we played and had a lot of fun.
Back home Zebresel and Paul invited us to a welcome drink...fantastic  B)

Hi dad,
today we walked through Jever looking for a bikeshop for borrowing some bikes.
On our way we visited some nice old houses, the palace of Jever, a statue of Mary (last regent of Jever), a statue of a big bull, a statue of a peeing dog  :cyclops: and a nice blooming tree. Suddenly we came into difficulties (a battle in the middle of the town  :o ) but finally we found a bikeshop and with our bikes we started to our first biketour.
Look at the funny sign: a place called 'without-sorrows'...it must be nice to live there!
And look at the road surface: millions of old stones instead of asphalt!

Dear dad,
today we went on a cycling tour. Following the 'Tour de Fries' we passed typical Friesian farm houses, typical Friesian moats with nice typical reed and typical Friesian cows.
After a while we reached Hooksiel, a coastal place that is filled with tourists during the summer months. We visited the little old harbour, the yacht harbour, the former townhall, a canon  :cyclops: and a funny cow  ;)
After sunbathing in a typical Friesian wicker beach we went into a nice café for drinking typical Friesian black tea (from a typical Friesian tea service) with rock candy. Yummy!
I think it was a typical Friesian very nice day  :D

Hi dad,
today we went to Langeoog island by ferry. From Langeoog harbour we drove to the centre of the island by a nice old train.
For exploring the island of course we borrowed two bikes. On our way to the beach we met a bull with imposing horns (definitely no typical Frisian bull  ;) ). We visited the water tower and a very funny sign. The beach was as great as our tour through the dunes. We climbed up the highest point of Langeoog and had a great view! When we carried on cycling suddenly a nice seagull landed and said "Hi, I'm Emma and I decided to come with you!" and so she did. Back in Langeoog-town we met a fisherman before it was time to say goodbye to this great island.

today morning we were just relaxing on the balcony when suddenly somebody rang the doorbell. Who could it be? We walked to the door and opened it and saw a rabbit girl who said: "Hi there, I'm Hanna Hops and I decided to drive home with your hostmum when your holiday's over. I saw her together with you in the book shop in Jever I've lived until now and I thought it's a good idea to start a new phase of my life leaving this place behind me and following you."
With these words she jumped onto the sofa. We followed her and for the rest of the mornig we sat together listening to her experiences and adventures. She's very nice and she knows what she wants, I'm sure.

After a short time we walked to the city for the first time and were very impressed with the Engelsburg (castle of angels), the Engelsbrücke, the bridge across the river Tiber, the famous Piazza Navona and the very very old Pantheon.

Hi dad,
today we visited the cathedral St. Peter for the first time. Wow! It looked very great and the place with it's fountains as well.
After these impressions we needed a refreshment: Ice cream in Rome! It was so yummy...you can't imagine! Unfortunately it was so warm outside that hostmum took a photo of Mefito only cause it was his life mission. But there'll be another chance of taking an ice-photo I'm sure.
Then we visited the famous Trevi fountain. You have to throw a coin over your shoulder into the fountain, that brings luck and let you come back to Rome some time. In the course of a year there are thousands of Euros, Dollars etc. on the ground of the fountain which are for a good cause.
On the way back home I saw some very nice girls...unfortunately stone...
Back home we sat on the steps in front of our house. The small street is only for pedestrians, very good!

Holá Jochen,

today we visited a small hill with an eremitage on top.
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/14-01-15%20Monasterio/DSCN8280_zpsac211dcd.jpg
We started at a place called monastery, where stations of the cross begin
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/14-01-15%20Monasterio/DSCN8285_zps31530327.jpg

The way up to the hill is like going to a little botanical garden with lots of exotic and endemic plants

Holá Jochen,

today we vistited the old town of La Laguna
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/17-01-15%20La%20Laguna-Markt/DSCN8474_zps3b017f55.jpg
The complete name of the town officially is "San Christobal de La Laguna", but everybody here calls the city "Laguna"

http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/17-01-15%20La%20Laguna-Markt/DSCN8478_zps14446858.jpg
Lots of very old houses I saw there, the inner city was built in the 16th and 17th century, when Laguna was the formerly capitol of Tenerife.

One of the oldest churches here, the cathedral of La Laguna
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/17-01-15%20La%20Laguna-Markt/DSCN8483_zpsaec1320d.jpg

Holá Jochen,

today we made a small trip down to the old town of
Puerto de la Cruz and to the Promenade.

Here at the harbour we met an well known friend of good old störte :cyclops:

We went on and came to Plaza del Charco

Here we came to a very old church of Puerto, it is called Nuestra Seńora de la Peńa de Francia and was built in the 17th century.

Holá Jochen,

today we visited one of the nicest urban parks on Tenerife:
Parque Garcia Sanabria
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/20-01-15%20Parque%20Garcia%20Sanabre/DSCN8661_zpsc8f0a510.jpg

Here we are at the famous flower clock
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/20-01-15%20Parque%20Garcia%20Sanabre/DSCN8655_zps9c0b0475.jpg

Seven different alleys lead to the centre with the main spring inside.
Here You see one of the alleys with nice statues
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/20-01-15%20Parque%20Garcia%20Sanabre/DSCN8646_zps7ff1de7c.jpg

Another view from another alley with palmtrees
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/20-01-15%20Parque%20Garcia%20Sanabre/DSCN8635_zps104ff981.jpg

One of the highlights in the park is the cactus area with lots of different cacti.
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/20-01-15%20Parque%20Garcia%20Sanabre/DSCN8638_zpsfb4d35d8.jpg

Holá Jochen,

no, we are not in the Black Forest Mountains, even when the backround of the photo looks similar ;)

In more than 1.000 metres about sea level we visited the trout farm of Aguamansa.

The weather was very very cold, not more than 8°C and rainy, so we didn´t stay very long there

Holá Jochen,

today we vistited the town La Orotava in the near of Puerto de la Cruz.
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/24-01-15%20Orotava/DSCN8877_zps63dbb919_1.jpg
The old town is famous for its nice wooden balconies

http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/24-01-15%20Orotava/DSCN8896_zps4762207b_1.jpg

Here we have the view from Orotava to Mount Teide

http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/24-01-15%20Orotava/DSCN8886_zps47e020ec_1.jpg

Unfortunately the Botanical Garden of Orotava was closed... :(
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/24-01-15%20Orotava/DSCN8907_zps420064b3_1.jpg

So we only had a small look from outside
http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/y436/strunki/24-01-15%20Orotava/DSCN8900_zps402cd87b_1.jpg

But instead of we spent some nice time in a Terrace-Garden called "La Victoria"

Hello Dad,

today we wanted to stay at the northern coast for having a sun bath, but the weather was too bad. Instead of, we visited this place with the huge whale skeleton and drove back to Garachico.
