fleursmum Posted Oct 2, 2011, 8:14 am	Well, we had a scarey night last night - there were rioters up the road from Carol's place - lots of sirens, people rushing around and we could see the flames from fires in the sky. Luckily Carol, Sylvia and I were safe! We went out the next morning to  help clean up and Sylvia took some photos to show my mum.
fleursmum Posted Oct 2, 2011, 8:21 am	Today we went to look at the street Carol used to live in. The houses were all bought up and renovated for the staff who work at the BBC centre in Manchester. They are known as the upside down houses because they have the bedrooms downstairs and the living area upstairs - usually these types of houses in England are the other way around! This way they get to see the gardens!

You get to drive through this park and the baboons are cheeky, they sit on the car and get a ride thru the park!! In the shop we got to take a special photo for my Mum!! I met some  other toys and would have liked them to become TV's too but they wanted to stay at home   At the end of the day we had a little spiritual uplifting

Today we make a crazy Trip that we can ride 4 wheelers named Quad on a Frozen Sea. beelicious Posted Apr 3, 2012, 8:13 am	Dear Mummy! Today we're in the beautiful city of Bayreuth. We're in the Lohengrin-thermalbaths. Do you know for what event is Bayreuth world-famous? Exactly!The Richard-Wagner-Festival. The festival is every year in August and you have to wait about 10 years for a ticket! This is really long  ! This is the festival hall. The flowers in front are very nice. This is the building of a health insurance company. I find the figures funny! On the way home we're stop short in Bamberg. This is the cathedral. This is called "Little Venice". It looks beautiful! I wish I could shown you more photos, but there were so many people and cars there, it hasn't been fun ... My hosts have promised that we go to Bamberg again. Look what I've done at home ...  Take care! Buddy

First we were on the river "Main"  at a lock. Look, just driving a boat through it! Then we were in a large meadow. Do you see me? I'm here - like in the jungle! At a lake we made a break. Isn't it beautifil here? Look, behind me are geese! Here it is comfortable - on the belly of my host-dad. Then we were on the "Altenburg". It isn't really  a castle, only a tower. I meet sheep! The view is fantastic! Then we drive to the Main again. Look, a big ship comes! It is so wonderful here! I'm brave and climb on trees. Tokki, Bobi and I are very brave guys! Can you see us? Here we are: Puh, after this test of courage I need a reward. How about an ice cream? What do I take? Yummi! I take a Bounty-Cup with Coconut. On the way home we see this. It looks realy cool! Back at home we made a little barbecue. Yummie! Sausage with pumkin. So, this was my day. I hope you like it! I kiss you! Buddy

This is the pilgrimage church "Maria Heimsuchung" but all say "Kaeppele" (little church). Then we went to the "Steinburg". From there I have a fantastic view over Wuerzburg. klubwerks Posted Apr 26, 2013, 2:53 am	I made it to Oklahoma City and then traveled with my host to our first adventure together! My host was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, which is where Cyphacon was held. It was really nice seeing my hosts home town. It was a beautiful place! The food was fantastic! We stopped by Woody's Smokehouse on the way into Lake Charles and got some yummy jerky. The convention was also a lot of fun. It was a small convention with very friendly people. We stopped in New Orleans on the way back home (the last two photos).

klubwerks Posted May 10, 2013, 10:22 pm	I went to Bricktown, which is Oklahoma City's downtown area. My hosts and I road two metro buses to get downtown. The first bus driver was rude and the second bus smelled of cat pee. It was not a pleasant experience and my host says that's why they rarely ever take the bus. Then we took the downtown trolley, which was a fairly nice bus, and it's free! The trolley just circles certain downtown spots. However, it was worth the trip! We watched Ironman 3 (in 3D). There is this automated machine where you pay with your credit card and you don't have to wait in line to get your tickets. After the movie, we went for a walk around Bricktown. It is so pretty out here! Then, we ate dinner at Hooters. Hooters' waitresses always wear the same skimpy tight uniforms, which is part of the draw of the restaurant. It's mainly a wings place. It was good food!
klubwerks Posted May 20, 2013, 1:24 am	A group of us toys went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship). We watch the preliminary fights on the Chromebook and then watched the Pay-per-View live on the restuarants big screen TV's. We were also treated to appetizers - mini corn dogs and chili queso!

klubwerks Posted Jun 8, 2013, 8:41 pm	We had more tornados and it was pretty scary! One of them came right for us, but then it "jumped" over us. It means that the tornado lifted off the ground before it hit us, then touched back down after is passed us. However, it still caused a lot of damage and the circulation went right over us - lots of wind, hail, and flooding. We were without power for 17 hours. If the tornado had not "jumped" we would have very likely died. Tornado season can be very scary here in Oklahoma! I was going to post more about it, but I wasn't able to go out for pictures with my host the day we got photos. However, if you want to know more about the experience we had and see pictures, please look at the June 1st, 2013 post on Benno's travelog. On a side note, I ate at Long John Silver's (a fast food place)! I had some fried fish, corn on the cob, and cheese curds. Cheese curds are breaded and fried cheese. It's very tasty!
klubwerks Posted Aug 5, 2013, 12:14 am	Recently, we discovered a bowling alley within walking distance! We got to bowl as long as we wanted for $10 (per person). They also have food... like hot dogs and fries! It's nice having a place nearby where you can get exercise and have fun with friends!
klubwerks Posted Aug 5, 2013, 12:15 am	We went out to Crabtown to eat. I tried the fried calamari and it was spicy and yummy! I also had their gumbo. I had fun!
LittleCableCars Posted May 1, 2014, 3:37 pm	Hi Mom, I've been out touring the American wide open spaces, vast plains, mountain chains, deserts and rivers with my ToyVoyager pals, Kalea, Jelle and Amie. LittleCableCars Posted May 4, 2014, 2:29 am	Hi Mom, Before we left the Stagecoach Depot we checked the map to see which cable cars to take to my new host’s house.  We were greeted by a Rockin’ rat from Germany named Rudy and several TVs home from their travels:  Cheerio, Noodles, DuDette and her DuDu. LittleCableCars Posted May 18, 2014, 6:16 pm	Party time!!  Two TVs have returned from their wayward travels, Nicky  and BarryO. Ye gods, C.T. Mouse, Detective, is gossiping again.  He says Nicky used to be a guy and BarryO was a lot taller.  Let's not let science get in the way of fun.  Mmm, that punch was good. We have more new arrivals at our house..actually it is Bernie who has been travelling and has brought home her new husband Wavy Gravy....on their way home their twins arrived!!    Was very exciting!
