Hello everyone!
My friend Pip and i decided to go on trail because we wanna spread joy and happiness all over the world. We are caracters from a story for children here in Holland. The woman who brings us to life is Guusje Nederhorst. For many years Guusje played in a soap called "Goede tijden slechte tijden'' (good times bad times). In 2002 she discovered her real passion: writing stories for children. That was the beginning of Woezel and Pip. Two inseparable dogs who experience funny and sometimes naughty adventures. The little novels are a big hit here in Holland. Unfortunally Guusje never had the change to see how many children enjoy the adventures of Woezel and Pip. She got breast cancer and died in 2004. Her husband set up the Guusje Nederhorst foundation as a memory for her creative, headstrong and brave personality. You can imagine this is a great opportunity for me to have a lot more adventures. Pip and i decided to each go our own way. When we come home we can tell each other our adventures. How great is that! Here we are at home and talk to the TV's who are visiting Eva right now. It was great to hear their stories! Here we are sitting in the book closet. Eva has many stories for children so it's always a pleasure to be here and read those novels. And this is Pip (left one) and me (right one). I can't wait to start my journey! Big hugs Woezel (and Pip) |

Helloo everyone!
I'm finally here in Tallinn, my first adventure has begun! The white envelope was luckily so soft and cosy The first estonian I met was Stuart the Lion who's just about to leave home for the first time too. From the moment I got out of the envelope he started asking sooo many questions! He talks very much Well, I'm a bit sleepy now so I'd better get some rest. I can't wait for tomorrow, to see what it's like outside! Yours, Woezel. Woof! |
MarionJ Posted May 14, 2008, 9:23 pm |
Tere!
(This is the first estonian word I learnt and it means "hello") These past two days I've been taking walks around the neighbourhood just to get to know this place. My host lives in a quiet area that's called the New World district. She has told me many interesting things about this district. Many poets live here, also other kind of artists; many environmental lectures take place here also, different festivals promoting ecological way of life and so on. A very nice place Here I am near the depot of trams, there's a big "tram" which states that the first tramway built in Tallinn was in 1888. Here I am just posing, we had a little photoshoot and my host told me I was very photogenic (of course, there is a book about me even!). This picture I dedicate to my mentor and to Pip also! And because the weather was nice, we stopped under a viaduct/crossover and sat on the sidewalk just staring into the distance. (It looks very sci-fi ) Ok, tomorrow is the annual Tallinn Day so we're going down town to check things out! Ooooh, but it's going to be a wonderful day, I know it. I feel it in my bones Bye everyone! Wwwwwoezel. |

Hey!
The weather is nice still, but a bit windy. I'm sure it'll get warmer again, like always Yesterday (15.05) was the annual Tallinn Day and we went to see many concerts that were held on the Raekoja plats (City hall square) We also had a look around the center of the town. Here I'm in the new shopping area near the harbour (we'll visit it later, my host told me), it's called the Rotermann district. (They are still building a part of it so it'll get bigger in some time) And on my way down Here I am in the Old Town again, behind me is the Niguliste church, which interior is one of the most beautiful in Estonia (unfortunately they didn't allow any dogs.. but we'll try again) Ok, so here is the Nõelasilma käik - the Needle eye passage - which was opened last summer. They dug it up again and restored it the way it was before the II WW. They also have a short movie there which you can watch - it's about the street where the passage is. Then we went to the Youth and Puppet Theatre In the Old Town the streets are usually like this (well, like in many european cities) Okay! Here you have many pictures of me and Tallinn already But still there's much to see, also in the Old Town. So we'll visit it again many times (my host lives only a 15-minute walk away from it and she likes to walk ). I can't wait to check out Pip's travels! So now I'll go and look them up, hehe. Wooof! Heyheyheeey!
Today we recieved another tv! Chester came all the way from Tenerife. He was sooooo tired, but we didn't let him rest We were off to have a walk in the Old Town, to check out the viewing platforms. Behind me is the Niguliste church again, but from a different viewpoint ere I am on another platform, the view is very nice. More trees on this side. Here I'm sitting on a statue of a pigeon; these kind of statues are place all over the Old Town. And here we dropped by my host's friend's place and she was making a wok. Okay, when Chester wakes up tomorrow, I'll tell him more stories. And we'll see what the next days will bring. Bye everyone and Pip too! Woeeeezel. |

So, what is new around here?
The weather is very nice, although windy, so I've got a little sneeze. My host Marion has gone crazy - embroidering all the time She says she has a plan, but I wouldn'be so sure about it. We'll see what happens or if I need to get some help.. Here I'm with Chester and the embroidery she has finished by now. We also went to see the national football stadium (or soccer, if you prefer). The A Le Coq Arena (it's named after a beercompany that's their biggest sponsor, pfff). It is situated near railways and always when there's a big game and a train passes by, the conductor makes toot-toot. Well, this week will be great because we have a trip planned. I won't tell you more about it, you'll soon hear about it yourself Wooeeezel |

Ahoy, to all of you around the world!
My host has been really busy organizing some camps for youngsters, so we haven't had much time to go around. But we were in Tartu which is the second biggest city in Estonia. It's also in the south of the country and the busride takes about 2,25 hours, so not very much. Luckily Estonia is quite small When the bus drove from Tallinn to Tartu, all I could see on the way were forests! Forests and fields and small houses. Every once in a while a smaller town and some gas stations, but nothing more. Everywhere was green! It rained all the time there! As I heard from the news, apparently it rains almost everywhere in Europe right now. This is the pedestrian bridge in Tartu The river of Emajõgi (Mother's river) runs through Tartu. Actually there's two of them, the Small and the Big one, the big one goes through the city. The pig that stands in front of the old market house (which still works), with Veggies and Chester This is the town hall and the town square in Tartu In front of it is the famous statue of kissing students. Also a funny house, built like that, crooked or what's the word. But it's like that only from the outside, inside the floors are in level with the normal ground. We are resting here, Chester and Veggies too The University of Tartu, the most famous and oldest one here And the theater Vanemuine. Estonian people go to theater all the time, the tickets are sold out in the first days. |
MarionJ Posted Jun 24, 2008, 6:07 pm |
And now I'm off to my next big adventure in Portugal, Lisbon.
I had a wonderful time here in Estonia Ciaooo, everyone, see you again somewhere in the world Greetings to Pip aswell! Head aega! (Good bye) Woezzzel |

From sunny Estonia to sunny Portugal - here I am, fresh and ready to visit more new places!
I see a pig here! He looks friendly and he helped me come out of the envelope. He presented himself to me. His name is Rally and he's a ToyVoager too! He's here for a short time (arrived yesterday) but he already discovered a box full of candies - he said it was my welcome gift! Pigs know how to party! But then our host arrived and told us we should help packing, tomorrow will be travelling together to a secret place! Here we go to our next adventure! See you next week, Mom! |
Swit Posted Jul 15, 2008, 10:54 pm |
07H30 - Me and Rally are at Lisbon's airport waiting for our flight
We even played a bit on a kids area. And finally we entered our plane. Air France! Are we flying to France? We seat by the window, the best place! We are already flying! I can't wait to land and discover where we'll be! |
Swit Posted Jul 20, 2008, 10:27 pm |
I'm in the hotel and I see the face of a very cute toy on the soap! It's Mickey Mouse! What is he doing here?
Rally is puzzled like me, we are very anxious to go outside and see where we are! We finaly found out where we are - Disneyland Resort Paris! Enough playing on the gardens, we are going to enter now! |
Swit Posted Jul 22, 2008, 11:29 pm |
I just entered and Main Street is amazing!
Shops everywhere! Hey! I look nice with these pillows! And Donald Duck looks cool near ME! Where to go first? Frontierland looks nice! It has a beautiful lake! We found some ducks here. A very big boat - Molly Brown, the Queen of the River! We saw an old abandoned house. And we are almost finishing our boat trip cause I can see the harbour from here. |
Swit Posted Jul 25, 2008, 5:38 pm |
Minnie Mouse appeared today! We wanted to take photos with her too.
We walked a bit afterwards, searching for more caracters. Let's take the train! The train stoped, a new walk around the park. We found an haunted house, we must go there, I'm not afraid! The lake looks awesome from here! What a strange bat we found inside... and some other creepy things... It wasn't too scary but we were happy to get out! Now let's see The Castle of Sleeping Beauty! We had to rush out of the castle, the daily Parade is going to start! Time to ride some saucers! And to walk a bit again. Our host bought us an apple of love, it tastes so gooooooooooooood! Soon was dinner time and Mickey brought us his pizza! |
Swit Posted Jul 28, 2008, 10:50 pm |
Rally and I asked to go to Paris and our host took us there.
We decided to go to Montmartre and visit Le Sacré Coeur. First we tryed to ride the carousel but we weren't allowed to do it. It was a long walk but the view compensated! There was a lot to see on one day so we just do a small walk around. The artists' square! Close there was a very interestant shop! We decided to go see another interesting point in the city. On the way back to the subway we saw more cool buildings. Now we see the funicular that could have taken us to the top! Some stores were on sales! A post office station! Time to buy stamps! From there we went to see Le Arch du Triomph We walk down Les Champs Elysées. So many fashion stores here, and jewelery! And we even found a Disney store! We've seen some celebrations of the Presidency of the European Union, these flags were just some of them. We finaly reached Rue Matignon et Rue Gabriel, we wanted to visit Le Marché Aux Timbres. On the other side of the street a different "market": Christie's! There were a lot of stamps and cards on the stamps market. I wonder where will we go after lunch? |
Swit Posted Jul 30, 2008, 10:29 pm |
Back from lunch, here we go again!
Next subway station: Bir-Hakeim! Cool tower over there! Our host told us we are about to see a very cool building called La Tour Eiffel. The Seine river is so beautiful! Et voilá, the Eiffel Tower! So much flowers everywhere! We even visited Le Marché des Fleurs. We kept walking, so few time and such a big amount of beautiful buildings to see. Not hard to guess where we are going now! BYE river!!! We found a beautiful building called L'Hôtel de Ville. And we reached our last visit, the Notre Dame Cathedral. Cards! Let's go inside for some shopping. Le Quartier Latin, so many people from different cultures. Cool place! Hummm... where did I see that picture? I remember now, it's a dutch painting! And we said goodbye to Paris, I hope I can come here some day! |
Swit Posted Aug 2, 2008, 2:32 pm |
A walk around the hotel. Our room is on snake quartier, building no. 14. Before we go outside, time for a cold Coke.
Behind the Santa Fé hotel there is the hotel Cheyenne. Very cool too. WOW! So many bees on these flowers, they must be really sweet but I't try them! We must rush, we are already late to eat, where are the vouchers? Here they are! Still time to play a bit with Stitch. He has a special show at Disney Studios Park... He's really funny. Disney at night, still magical... |
Swit Posted Aug 2, 2008, 2:56 pm |
Last day... Time to pack things and say goodbye to Disney...
Last ride on hotel's buses... Bye Princess Castle... Bye Marne-La-Vallée train station... The airport bus shutle is already here... ... and soon we were at Charles de Gaulle Airport. The train station. Congratulations to France, it has a very well organised transportation system. Playing hide and seak while we can be without the security belt. Already flying! BYE FRANCE!!!!!!! |
Swit Posted Aug 24, 2008, 11:42 pm |
There has been nice weather here so I went to the park today.
The water invited for a swim but it's forbidden! A replica of the Macao destroyed church! And a water jet! I see some activity there, I'll check! And what is that red thing? It's a giant mailbox! I wonder if I'll be in one of this soon! I'm travelling back home, I miss my mom so much! I want to see her before go to the next adventure. Bye Portugal, hello Netherlands soon! |
