My name is TenderheartBear that was my name as a larger Care Bear now I'm a much smaller version and I'm ready to see the world! I'd love to learn more about the world and see the beautiful things that the world gives us. There's so much hatred and there's no where near as much love in the world as there should be and I'd like to show people the beautiful parts of the world.

http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y289/saragoescrazy3/tenderheart_bear_large.jpg

Especially my mentor, she seems to be going through a very hard time in her life and I'd love to show her that the world is more beautiful than she can imagine. Would you like to show me and my mentor? I'd love that! Just contact Sara and she'll have me pay a visit to you as well! I'm going to be off traveling very soon, I hope the traveling won't take too long as I'm quite excited about getting off and seeing the world!

Talk again soon mom, I can't wait to write again!

Hi - I just arrived in Singapore - which is very warm and humid. I was sitting in the mailbox when my host came home from work. It was quite dark in the mailbox but comfortable as I was sitting on some wedding invitation replies !!

I am just taking some time to look around.  There are lots of rooms in this house and it would take weeks to explore. I'm just aclimatising before I go much further.

There is lots of wildlife in the indoor garden - which I can see from my perch on the kitchen table. There are birds during the day, baby frogs, koi carp, and in the evening frogs, lizards and lots of bats.

I will be visiting the beach and the jungle this week !! Hurray.

I also get to see wild animals everyday which is pretty cool

We are checking out the spirit house in my hosts garden. It was bought from Bangkok Thailand - unfortunately it is in the shade of the main house :(

Thai people believe that there are guardian spirits for different buildings or areas of land. These spirits are wandering spirits that can cause harm or suffering unless gifts are offered to them frequently. It is believed that they influence the future, grant wishes and keep people healthy. The spirit of the land expects to be informed if a building is to be built or extended, or a business started. If the humans do not ask permission, the spirit may cause the venture to fail.

There are nine guardian spirits, each offering a different type of protection. The guardian spirit of houses is called Phra Chaimongkhon (say prah chigh-mong-kon) and is a very powerful spirit. The guardian spirit of gardens and orchards is Phra Than Thirat (say prah tan ti-rat). These two are the only ones to have permanent spirit houses built for them.

Outside each building, big or small, there is a spirit house where the spirits of the house or building live. There are spirit houses near restaurants, caves, and forests and even cities. Most ordinary spirit houses are about the size of a large bird cage standing on a pedestal, though some big buildings have very large and fancy walk-through spirit houses.

A spirit house must not be in the shade of the main building.
The inside of the spirit house is decorated with figurines representing the spirits, holding a sword and a book.
There are usually figures of servants and elephants.
Each day people place flowers, incense and food as offerings to the spirits to keep them in good humour.

An old or damaged spirit house must not be thrown away, but must be placed where other spirits will watch over it, at the foot of a sacred banyan tree or at a wat .

There is even a large spirit house for the whole of Bangkok (the white and gold multi-roofed building left). Once a year the king places offerings in it to ensure continued good fortune for the city.

Took the opportunity to go to the office with my host :-(

However the view is amazing - you can see the cable car to sentosa from the office window - it passes through the 15th floor of the tower.

my host gets in - so early - we had to turn the lights one !!

Once we arrived in Heathrow (at 5am !!) we went to the BA arrivals lounge, had some breakfast and my host had a facial. Her fiance picked us up at 7am, and we went to see his grandad who lives in Stafford. We were so early, my host suggested we went to Alton Towers. This is one of the rides I went on !!!! We then went all the way to Leeds the next day, then back to London the next day and then to Bournemouth

Greetings from Portugal!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/Blog/toyvoyagers/SDC12429x.jpg

I’ve arrived safely after almost 4 days of travel! It took some time but I enjoyed every minute of it – I had a travel buddy, Lucy K! I loved it!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/Blog/toyvoyagers/SDC12427x-1.jpg

After being so long in Belgium I was astonished to experience the very warm weather of Portugal! Today the thermometer showed 26 ºC (79 ºF) which is a lot at this time of the year!

My new host, Carina, only arrived at 6 PM, so we only had time to take a couple of photos at her backyard before the sunset!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/Blog/toyvoyagers/SDC12430x.jpg

I think I’m in love with her lemon tree! Did you know these lemons grow without any chemicals? I hope I get the chance to taste them on a portuguese meal any time soon!!!

Now I’m off with Carina and Lucy K to plan some exciting activities for the next few days!
See you soon!

Hello!!!

Today I woke up very early! We planed a little trip to Belém – a historical and cultural place much appreciated by the tourists.

To get there we had to take the bus! We sat together and enjoyed the trip.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12558x.jpg

At some point I just had to take a peek out of the window and enjoy the view.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12563x.jpg

As soon as we reached Belém we visited the CCB (Cultural Centre of Belém) and we explored all the museum.

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12612x.jpg

There’s a picture of me with a piece of art from Berardo’s Collection!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12585x.jpg

After the museum we made a quick stop at Belém’s Starbucks and the famous house of the “Pasteis de Belém”.
We returned home by car and we even had time to take some pictures on the way!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12621x.jpg

The Pasteis de Belém were great – with a little cinnamon and icing sugar – one of the best thing I ever tasted!

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n109/Kikafelton_87/SDC12638x.jpg

After the big day we took a nap  :)

I tell you more of my adventures soon!

Hello!

I finally arrived safely  to Santiago de Compostela!, I hope you were not too worried about me =D.

María welcomed me warmly even though she was just leaving to go to class. She was very nice and let me go with her, and then I decided to take some pictures there, so you can see one of the buildings of the University of Santiago de Compostela :).

Hello!

Today I have some pictures I took when I visited Irene (Maria's bestfriend) at her hometown Caldas de Reis, which is, by the way, near Pontevedra and is mostly famous for its thermal springs. Irene told me that Caldas de Reis is a town with Prehistoric, Roman, Medieval and also Modern history (the first known settlers were, in fact, two groups of natives discovered by the Romans when they conquered the town: the Cilena Tribe).

Anyway, I went there with María, my two TV friends Bally and Baubles, and the best tourist guide ever, Irene! and I had lots of fun :D

Hello mom!

We have a heat wave here in Northern Spain and María is not happy at all because she cannot take us to the beach until her exams are finished!. I feel sorry for her...we are sunbathing while she studies, poor thing  :stare:

Anyway, this doesn't mean that I'm not having fun, in fact, I went for a walk with my TV friends and visited this park called "La Alameda", which is very nice. This place is very well-known by young people because it is the meeting place to do the "Botellón" --I don't think I'm visiting this place while the "Botellón" takes place though, because María stopped doing it years ago (she doesn't agree with wikipedia and thinks "Botellón" is for teenagers). Oh! And we met some "cemented people" (sorry if the expression doesn't exist but I really don't know how to express what they were  ).

Hey mom!

How's everything? I'm doing fine even though today I'm quite sad because a good friend is leaving, Bally. However, we did enjoy our last day together and had a lot of fun in Portugal as you can see in the pictures =D.

Hi mom!

Hope you weren't worried about me because, in spite of the lack of updates these days, I've been having a lot of fun and I'm perfectly fine. However, I couldn't take as many photos as I would have liked because María was afraid I could be lost in the last parties I went if she had let me out of her backpack. Anyway, I thought you may like to see some pictures of one of the last parties I went even though I'm not in them =)

Oh, by the way, this party is called "Noche de San Juan" here in Spain, and it is basically the celebration of the longest day of the year. Have you ever heard about this tradition? =D

Looking forward to my trip to malta next week but for now i think i am going to have some food followed by a nap!

Here we are with some horses in the backround - it seems Spadge was a little to quick to take the picture here as the other two TV's can hardly be seen here! You can get trips around the city in these horse and carts but we were worried that the horses might be too hot in this heat!

We tried to get a good photo of me with the flag of Malta in the backround but the wind was blowing the wrong way so this was as good as we could get! I still think it counts towards my mission though

Hello !
Finally ! I just reached my new destination ! And here I am, in Paris !
I haven't visited yet, but judging by the view from the window, and the nice church which is just behind Val's place, it sounds like a good trip.
She promised me we will go and visit the city tomorrow !

Sorry I haven't wrote before, but I was really busy visiting !
Yesterday we stayed near val's neighbourhood, but today we went all the way across Paris !
Let me show you some pictures !

You can see me with another church ! they're lots of them around here, and this one was quiet big !
Then we went to the Bastille place, it was formely a prison, but gor destroyed, and now they're a huge statue in the middle of the place, and an opera. Paris has 2 operas, one old and one new, this is the new and I don't find it really beautiful !
But it was nice to see anyway.
Then we went back home, and stopped at the open air market on the way. they're many things in there that looks so good ! Made me hungry !

New visit day today !
We started to go back to the Bastille Place where we went yesterday, but on the other side, where you can see me at the canal harbour.
Lots of boats, and people are living in most of them all year round in paris. That sounds nice :D
Then we crossed the Seine, which is a river that goes right in the middle of the city, and cut in in 2.
we arrived in a big park, known as "plants garden". The big building on the back is the natural history museum. They're also a zoo there, I saw some kangaroos that made me a bit homesick, but then I realised I am so lucky to travel, while they're locked in a park, so I should enjoy every minute of it !
then after Australia, going to Africa with the biggest mosquee of Paris. Really nice, especially under the sun !
That's all for today, but that was already a long walk, I will see more later !

Today is a nice a sunny day ! Time to go to the canal. Val loves this place ! Have you seen the movie Amelie ? Some parts of it takes place there !
Then we went to an old hospital, which is not used anymore, but it's really beautiful, and there's lots of grass and nice spots to sit and rest !

Today was exhausting ! But I got to see all the major places in Paris !
We started with the sacre coeur basilica, which is on top of a hill, with a great view on all the city.
Then we saw seom other parts of the hill, where you still can see a wineyard, with some wine made there everyyear. yes, in the middle of the city !
This place used to be covered with windmills. And old one is still there, and of course the most known one : the moulin rouge ! ( which means the red windmill).  But it's not an authentic one !

Then we went to the other side of Paris, near the Louvre museum, which has a nice garden !
Saw the concorde place, the Champs elysees, the triumph arch.
then went to the Eiffel tower ! Did you know that they're 3 statues of liberty in Paris ! Because the sculptor is French, and it was a gift from France to the USA !
After that long day, we went back home and rest !
more to see the next days !

Just a bit of culture today, we went to the Beaubourg museum, which is the Paris modern arts museum.
The building looks a bit weird, but interesting !
