Hi, Mom!
Today we take a walk around Moscow and went to the GUM (an abbreviation of "Main-stop shop" until 1921 - Upper Trading Rows) - a large shopping center (department store) in the center of Moscow, which leaves the main facade of the Red Square. In GUM we drank real lemonade and snack cakes. So we walked along the shops. In one of the shops was provided a form of Russian Olympic team for the upcoming Olympic Games in London. |

Hi all!
Today we went to the Dacha (country, сottage) . Dacha - a vacation home for an urban family, is generally not used by its owners for permanent residence. In Russia and the former Soviet Union as the villas are called simple plywood construction with no facilities on six acres of land and capital structures of large area on the plots in hectares or more. In a small Dacha Triss in the north of Moscow region. Now in Russia, the season of berries and we went to feast on berries. There we met with a toy mouse Mozart. Mozart lives in the country. Sylvia and I told him about our trip around the world and he also wanted to travel. Peter gave us the red currants and strawberries. Still, he wanted to show us a live frog, but it was very hot and they're all hiding. In the evening drove me home to Moscow three. |

Hello Mom!
Today we walked to the Manege Square and Red Square. With the Manege Square overlooking the State Duma - the lower house of the Federal Assembly - Parliament of the Russian Federation. At the Manege Square many fountains. One of them is in the form of a map of Russia and the clock moving. With the Manege Square, we went down to the Eternal Flame and the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier near the Kremlin walls. At the Red Square was the construction of the cadet corps, which we have seen. |

Hello!
Today we were walking in a big company Tsaritsyno. Tsaritsyno palace and park ensemble, covering an area of 100 hectares, is located on hilly terrain crossed by ravines, in place of the former estate of princes Kantemirov and inherited some of its features. Tsaritsano is the most important monument of the so-called "Russian Gothic" (pseudo-) on the establishment of a royal residence for over 20 years experience in a series of two of the most famous architect of his era - Vasily Bazhenov and Matvei Kazakov. Tsaritsyno - the largest in Europe, the pseudo-Gothic building of the XVIII century, and only the palace complex, designed in this style. I really liked the Palace and the Church ... |
Trissa Posted Aug 11, 2012, 6:45 am |
Hi all!
Today, I was near the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. Temple - the largest in the Russian Church. Designed for 10,000 people. The original church was erected in memory of the Napoleonic invasion, "the preservation of the eternal memory of that unprecedented effort, loyalty and love for Faith and Fatherland, however in these hard times extolled the Russian people themselves, and to mark our gratitude to Divine Providence for saving Russia from threatening her to death "[1]. It was built by architect Konstantin Ton. Construction lasted nearly 44 years: the church was laid September 23, 1839, consecrated - May 26, 1883. December 5, 1931 the church building was destroyed. Rebuilt in the same place in 1994-1997. Now Temple has become particularly well known in connection with the case of the four girls who call themselves the punk band "Pussy Riot". February 21, they wore masks, and sang a song at the altar of political content. Now the court passes over them. |
Trissa Posted Aug 11, 2012, 6:56 am |
Hello!
Today Triss showed one of the most interesting of the Moscow metro stations. Station "Revolution Square" opened March 13, 1938. The station is the work of the architect Dushkin and has the status of the identified cultural heritage site. The name has the same name space (up to 1918 it bore the name of the Resurrection). The decoration of the station used the black marble of the Armenian "davalu", combined with white, gray and golden marble of other breeds. The station hall is illuminated by two rows of round chandeliers-flat "plates". Narrow passages between the base of the pylons are decorated in a steep semi-cylindrical arches, resting on low broad pedestals. On these pedestals 76 bronze sculptures depicting the Soviet people. All figures (except for figures of pioneers) in order to fit in a limited volume of the vaulted archway, depicted either embarked on his knee, or bending over, or sitting. In this regard, said that the statue represents the image of the Soviet people - "it's all or sitting, or kneeling" |

Hi Mom,
Today, I am after a long journey arrived safely in Karlsruhe. Here it is pretty hot. When I crawled out of the envelope I saw Mr. Spike, who was very happy that I have arrived. Now he has someone, who plays with him. Also from the rabbits I was greeted warmly. I then set out on the balcony with Mr. Spike. From the balcony you have a great view of the church. Then I looked at the home of my host mum. Are there many bears ... One bear was probably 1000 times bigger than me and the other bear was wearing a police uniform. Everyone here is very friendly to me. My host mum told me that bears are her favorite animal and she collects them. My host mum is very excited about me. Unfortunately in the apartment are not much purple things. I believe that I will still feel very comfortable here. Mr. Spike then showed me his sleeping place. Since I was very tired, I just laid in it with Mr. Spike. Greetings Viola |
zauberaeffle Posted Aug 24, 2012, 5:19 pm |
Hi Mum,
today Mr. Spike an I wanted to go with my host mum to the Rhine. Where we wanted to go, it is very beautiful, as you can see a lot of ships and also has a view of the harbor in Karlsruhe. Unfortunately the weather has taken a spanner in the works. Just as we drove away there was a thunderstorm and it rained heavily. We went to the video store to rent a movie for tonight. I would rather something fun Mr. Spike wanted a thriller. We took both. In addition to the video library, the fire station. There was a big car with a crane. I would have gladly taken a closer look, but it did not stop raining. Then we went to visit the parents of my host-mom. Unfortunately we could not play in the garden because it was still raining. In the garden were many beautiful flowers. Customised the purple it did to me. Despite the rain, I had to look more closely at me. Since it did not stop with rain, then we went home. My host mum told me that we will make up the trip in any case. Many love greetings Viola |

Hello mom,
I am a little sad .... Since I am here in Karlsruhe the weather is bad ... My host mom would love to do something with us. But with constant rain, we can not go outside. Therefore, we (Mr. Spike and the stay-at-home TV Bär Schär) played today together first poker, than man-parchesi not and ultimately Cluedo. That was fun! Although I think that Bär Schär cheated at poker. My host mom told me that Bär Schär's been for 33 years with her and her favorite stuffed animal. Therefore must Bär Schär not go away, because host-mom would be very sad if he does not return. When he get an ID, he will be online at Toyvoyagers. We looked out the window, and tried with our eyes to change the weather ... It did not work. We helped host-mom to cook. We were cooking roast beef for evening... mmh, now it smells delicious. Now we'll first take a nap and hope that the weather improves. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
Today we (Mr. Spike, my host mum and I) did a great trip. We were in the castle Favorite near Rastatt. It's so beautiful there, I felt almost like a princess. Unfortunately no photos were allowed in the castle are made. In one room, but we were allowed to take pictures. Since the kitchen was issued, as it looked before. The castle was built from 1710 to 1730. Building owner was Margravine Sibylla Augusta of Baden. Next to the residence in Rastatt, it should serve as a summer residence in the country the princely pleasures, socializing and playing, hunting, masquerades, and studies of child-rearing. Favorite Castle is the oldest German porcelain palace and receive only one in the original form remains. We have set ourselves on a park bench and let us all work towards. It's really beautiful. It was a super nice day! Lots of love Viola |

Hello mum,
Today we made a walk in Karlsruhe. The weather was not the best, but at least it was not raining. I learned from my host mum lot about Karlsruhe. The city was founded in 1715 as the Baroque plan with sun-or radiating outgoing roads from the castle developed initially in a southerly direction. Because of the resulting fan-shaped floor plan carries Karlsruhe has the nickname Fächerstadt. At the MarketplaceKarlsruhe is a pyramid. Under the pyramid is the crypt in 1807 demolished Konkordienkirche in which the founder and namesake of the city, Margrave Karl Wilhelm of Baden-Durlach (1679-1738) is buried. We have seen today the castle, the castle garden, the marketplace and the Frederick area with natural history museum. Karlsruhe is a beautiful city, although currently many construction sites because of the U-Strab are. Many, Love Viola |

Hello mum,
Monday afternoon, we (Mister Spike and I) went for fishing in the Rhine harbor. Yesterday evening, host mum did not have the time to write an update. The father of my host mum came along as host-mum does not have a fishing license. While Mr. Spike was more interested in the harbor, I've found a lot of wild flowers in pink. Of course, I immediately have to take a few pictures. Then we enjoyed the view and looked at the many ships sailing past us. The father of host-mum allowed us to keep the hinge. Because I am so small and did not see anything, I climbed up to the top. Since it was pretty shaky. Finally we end it with a beautiful sunset in the evening. Only a small goby that we left behind in the water, we caught. Lots of love Viola Tonight we will still go to a party. The dad of host-mum will celebrate his birthday |
zauberaeffle Posted Sep 9, 2012, 12:04 pm |
Hello mum,
On 04.09.2012 the father of host-mum had birthday. In the evening we went to eat. Hmm, was that good! I ate so much that I could not move anymore. Especially the dessert was also super tasty Today we (Mister Spike, host-mum and I) went to Muggensturm. It is only 15 minutes by car from Karlsruhe. There's a petting zoo. I have seen many different animals. Ranging from goats, sheep, oxen, geese, ducks, horses, donkeys .... I liked it really well. Especially because the weather was beautiful. Many Greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
Today a new TV arrived. His name is Pettersson and he is a young moose. We have it all together cordially received. Pettersson brought postcards and sweets. Furthermore, we all very happy. After Pettersson had recovered from his journey we have (TV host Bär Schär, Mister Spike and I) put together something and entertain Unfortunately, I will soon travel further. I've been a little sad when I think about. I get along with everyone here as well. Greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
Today was a nice surprise in the mail from host-mum. Sausi Karl, who is currently in Finland at mmm105, wrote a postcard. In addition to host-mum and Bär Schär were very happy. Earlier today, we (Bär Schär, Pettersson, Mister Spike, host-mum and I) went for a walk in the forest. It was pretty chilly, not as warm as the last few days. Then we walked to the Saumseen. These are seven lakes located in the deep shores of Karlsruhe. The Saumseen is a nature reserve. It was really nice to sit on the bench and watching the ducks in the water. Greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
Today it was time that I decorate my envelope and label. Bär Schär, Pettersson and Mister Spike helped me. I am sad to awful. It really appeals to me in Karlsruhe and I do not want to go. But I have to leave tomorrow, because I'm already expecting my next adventure. Mister Spike will also leave tomorrow. Therefore, the atmosphere was not that great for us today. Bär Schär and Pettersson were also very very sad. We have grown in the short time good friends. As a parting gift Bär Schär has made a Hall of Fame star for me. That made me really happy. Maybe I'm coming again to zauberaeffle and Bär Schär. It was very nice! Many dear greetings Viola |

We'll leave to Ireland on Monday and I'm VERY EXCITED!!! I'm not sure if I will find the time to upload something more before departure. But you will definitely hear from me once we're back at the beginning of October. I Love you, mum. Take care!!! |

Hi Mom,
we arrived Dublin late in the evening on Sep 24. Look, that's my place to be for the coming days. BamBam, NoMi and myself were dry and warm and had a fantastic view out of our travel-bag |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 9, 2012, 10:14 am |
On our first day we travelled to Blarney, a town near Cork, located in the South of Ireland.
There you can find the famous "Blarney Castle" with his very famous "Blarney Stone" The Blarney Stone (Irish: Cloch na Blarnan) is a block of bluestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle, Blarney, about 8 kilometres from Cork. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of the gab (great eloquence or skill at flattery). The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. The castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the stone and tour the castle and its gardens. This is the castle And here's the stone: We found this sign under the stone: The gardens are beautiful And we walked around a huge lake (Lough Blarney). BamBam, NoMi and myself liked the hundreds of waterlilies |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 9, 2012, 4:13 pm |
Today we went to Mizen Head and saw the Atlantic Ocean!!!
Hey, can you see us Mizen Head (Irish: Carn Uí Néid), is located at the extremity of a peninsula in the district of Carbery in County Cork, Ireland. It is one of the extreme points of the island of Ireland, noted for its dramatic cliff scenery. One of the main transatlantic shipping routes passes close by to the south, and Mizen Head was, for many seafarers, the first (or last) sight of Europe. The tip of the peninsula is almost an island, cut off by a deep chasm, now spanned by a bridge; this gives access to an old signalling station, a weather station, and a lighthouse. The signalling station, once permanently manned, is now a museum housing displays relating to the site's strategic significance for transatlantic shipping and communications, including the pioneering efforts of Guglielmo Marconi. The "99 steps" which formed part of the original access route have been supplemented by a series of paths and viewing platforms. Look Mum, the cliffs are impressing! Woooooooaaaaaahhhh |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 9, 2012, 4:17 pm |
I LOVE THE ISLE OF BEARA!!! It's such a beautiful place. I don't have words...
The Beara Peninsula (Irish: Béarra) is a peninsula on the south-west coast of Ireland, bounded between the Kenmare "river" (actually a bay) to the north side and Bantry Bay to the south. It has two mountain ranges running down its centre: the Caha Mountains and the Slieve Miskish Mountains. The northern part of the peninsula from Kenmare to near Ardgroom is in County Kerry, while the rest forms the barony of Bear in County Cork. Today we went hiking and Geocaching. Found it!! |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 1:39 pm |
Here we are at the coast of Kenmare Bay
We went out hiking and found a small path to a stone circle But first, we had to climb a huuuuuge ladder and you know what!? I was the first one at the top The landscape was absolutely beautiful |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 1:56 pm |
Mom, I couldn't believe the story of Dursey Island and its cable car!! I really had to laugh out loud - look:
Dursey Island (Irish: Baoi Bhéarra or Oileán Baoi) lies at the southwestern tip of the Beara Peninsula. It is 6.5 km long and 1.5 km wide. The island is separated from the mainland by a narrow stretch of water called Dursey Sound which has a very strong tidal race, with a reef of rocks in the centre of the channel which is submerged at high tides. The island is connected to the mainland by Ireland's only cable car, and the only cable car which goes over sea water in Europe! Dursey has no shops, pubs or restaurants. The population is about 6 people. And you know what - they used the cable car to bring sheep to the island some years ago! |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:05 pm |
WOW - the view at Moll's Gap was amazing!!
Moll's Gap is a pass on the N71 road from Kenmare to Killarney in County Kerry Ireland. The area is a panoramic spot on the Ring of Kerry route, with views of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks mountains. The rocks at Moll's gap are formed of Old Red Sandstone. Moll's Gap is named after Moll Kissane. |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:09 pm |
Oh my goodness ... Glad we didn't find one!!!
|
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:19 pm |
We went on a hiking tour round Muckross Lake in Killarney. The woods there must be hundreds of years old, the trees are so huuuuuge!!!
We stopped on the bridge between the Muckross Lake and Lough Leane to take a picture - see below. It's located in Killarney National Park. Killarney National Park (Irish: Páirc Náisiúnta Chill Airne) is located beside the town of Killarney. It was the first national park established in Ireland. The park encompasses over 102.89 km2 (25,425 acres) of diverse ecology, including the Lakes of Killarney, Oak and Yew woodlands of international importance, and mountain peaks. It has Ireland's only native herd of Red Deer and the most extensive covering of native forest remaining in Ireland. The park is of high ecological value because of the quality, diversity, and extensiveness of many of its habitats and the wide variety of species that they accommodate, some of which are rare. The park was designated a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1981. |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:33 pm |
One day, we visited the Cliffs of Moher. Mom, they are really really impressing!!!
The Cliffs of Moher (Irish: Aillte an Mhothair) are located at the southwestern edge of the Burren region. They rise 120 metres (390 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head, and reach their maximum height of 214 metres (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres to the north. O'Brien's Tower is a round stone tower near the midpoint of the cliffs built in 1835 by Sir Cornelius O'Brien to impress female visitors. From the cliffs and from atop the watchtower, visitors can see the Aran Islands in Galway Bay, the Maumturks and Twelve Pins mountain ranges to the north in County Galway, and Loop Head to the south. Here's the famous O'Brien's Tower |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:45 pm |
We felt like being on the moon in The Burren, the countryside is absolutely bleak, but fantastic!
The Burren (Irish: Boireann, meaning "great rock") is a karst-landscape region or alvar in northwest County Clare. It is one of the largest karst landscapes in Europe. The region measures approximately 250 square kilometres. It is bounded by the Atlantic and Galway Bay on the west and north, respectively. A small portion of the Burren has been designated as Burren National Park. It is one of only six National Parks in the Republic of Ireland and the smallest in size (15 km²). Of course, we visited the famous Poulnabrone Dolmen. Poulnabrone Dolmen (Poll na mBrón in Irish meaning "hole of the quern stones") is a portal tomb in The Burren, dating back to the Neolithic period, probably between 4200 BC to 2900 BC. The dolmen consists of a twelve-foot, thin, slab-like, tabular capstone supported by two slender portal stones, which lift the capstone. |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:48 pm |
From Galway we went out to the beautiful Connemara. On our way to Clifden, we found another Geocache
|
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 2:58 pm |
Another cache at Lough Inagh. This place was very very windy!!!
Look, BamBam's label was flying in the storm |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 3:02 pm |
Mum, I LOVE THE CONNEMARA! The landscape is absolutely stunning!!!
|
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 3:09 pm |
We found the place where British aviators Alcock and Brown landed the first non-stop transatlantic flight in June 1919. They flew a modified World War I Vickers Vimy bomber from St. John's, Newfoundland, to Clifden. The Secretary of State for Air, Winston Churchill, presented them with the Daily Mail prize for the first crossing of the Atlantic Ocean in 'less than 72 consecutive hours'. There was also a small amount of mail carried on the flight making it the first transatlantic airmail flight. The two aviators were awarded the honour of Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) a week later by King George V at Windsor Castle.

Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 3:13 pm |
On our last day, we visited the famous Kylemore Abbey.
Kylemore Abbey (Irish: Mainistir na Coille Móire) is a Benedictine monastery founded in 1920 on the grounds of Kylemore Castle. The abbey was founded for Benedictine Nuns who fled Belgium in World War I. It was an absolutely fantastic trip through Ireland and we had a lot of fun and impressing experiences there. |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 10, 2012, 3:45 pm |
Hey Mom, we're safely back in Mönchengladbach.
Miss you |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 11, 2012, 7:48 am |
Today, we had to say goodbye to BamBam, who's travelling home
After some really BIG hugs... ... he climbed into his envelope. Bye bye!!! |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 18, 2012, 9:53 am |
Hi Mommy,
I'm doing good We are expecting guests tomorrow and hostmum asked NoMi and I to help her with the planning of the menu. We are planning to bake Soda Bread because we tasted it in Ireland and liked it very much. Look, you can find recipes in the internet And we are going to cook a pumpkin soup - it's pumpkin time here . We found a yummy recipe! We wrote down all ingredients we'll need for the dinner Let's check if we have everything we need. We'll definitely need sharp knives to carve the pumpkin! Yes, they are here: Hey, we don't need to buy ginger for the soup, it's already there. And some fruit for the dessert So, we're going to the supermarket now. Will update you later with some cooking news |
Tom+Jerry Posted Oct 29, 2012, 4:15 pm |

Tom+Jerry Posted Nov 7, 2012, 3:52 pm |
Today, we cooked pumpkin soup. Hmmmmmmm - yummy!!!
First we had to prepare the vegetables. Brook was Chef de Cuisine and cut green onions Afterwards, we had to carve the pumpkin. Goodness, this was a very hard one!!! But finally we made it After this hard work we had to pause for a breath ... and for a sherry We put all the ingredients into a huge cooking pot and added several spices Finally, soup was ready and I must admit it was superb |
Tom+Jerry Posted Nov 8, 2012, 9:55 am |
Today, NoMi is leaving to his home town in the US!

I am again with host-mum in Karlsruhe. At the moment there are two other TV here at host-mum. Xiaoxia the lion and Robby the little seal. I am glad quite tremendously about the vacation. Because host-mum has still to do bevore vacation, she has just little time. Yesterday, however, we (have decorated the whole flat for Christmas. Many lights - this looks so nice. Greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
Today something exciting has happened. Your package has come with my small sister. I cannot say you at all, was as surprised host-mum was when she opened the present and read the card. She was properly inspired! She may sit with the other bears from host-mum in the glass cabinet. I should say you many thanks! Two new TVs have also come. Zebra fr Hansen and Brook. They also go with to the ski vacation. This becomes amusing absolutely. We have played hide and seek... we have hidden on the illuminated sledge and the reindeer. This was a fun! Love Viola |

Hello mum,
yesterday, we haven't gone to Strasbourg. It was the purest snow chaos in the streets. In addition, host mum is ill. We have postponed it until next week on Wednesday now. We had nevertheless much fun. Since it has snowed so incredibly, we have a snowball fight made, a snowman built at once and zebra fr Hansen has his first ski attempts behind itself. He of course has fallen just to, however, hasn't hurt himself fortunately. After that we have warmed ourselves up in the apartment. Host mum has built up a hayrack, this one looks really terrific! Kind greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
today we (host-mums parent, here sister and her boyfriend, Xiaoxia, Zebra fr Hansen, Robby, Brook) were in Strasbourg on the Christmas fair. It was wonderful. Everywhere it smelt of mulled wine, cinnamon, carnations, waffles, little cookies... We have sauntered through the small lanes, have eaten something and have drunk. We were also in the Strasbourger dome, but, unfortunately, there one was not allowed to fotograph. This would have become absolutely great pictures. After we were again at home, we have celebrated resignation of Xiaoxia and Robby. It was nice with the two ones. After we had celebrated, we packed our things for the ski vacation..... Soon it goes off!!! I am excited Dear greetings Viola |

Hello mom,
we (host-mum and her family, Zebra fr Hansen, Brook, Bär Schär and I) are good in Wolkenstein, South Tirol arrived. The weather is not exactly the best. From the Dolomites we do not see a lot, because it is snowing so strongly. Tomorrow I hope the weather becomes better. I am very tired because we have driven off already at 3 o'clock in the morning. Love Viola |
zauberaeffle Posted Dec 22, 2012, 12:30 pm |
Hello mum,
today the weather was perfect. Now we have seen for the first how great it is here. I am inspired... Here the whole skiing area is giant. It is called Dolomiti Really ski and encloses 1100 kilometres. We have stayed in the area of the Sellaronda. From Wolkenstein we drove to Saint Ulrich and with reams gondola to Seceda. I cannot say you at all how breathtaking the view was there! Today it was wonderful and I am glad about the remaining days. Love Viola |

Hello mum,
Also today we had luck with the weather. It was simply dreamlike. Today we have begun in the lift which drives off behind our pension, then we have driven the world cup departure in Saint Christina down. On the opposite side we have allowed ourselves in the Gamsblut hut for the moment a rest. The view was really miraculous. Love Viola |

Hello mum,
Today here our last day was in South Tirol. I am so sad, it is easy so nicely here. I would still remain with pleasure. Today we have tried to go skiing. Zebra had brought from home skis. At none of us it has properly worked. I believe we need(require) much more practise. Now you can also see sometimes how our view of the pension was. On the first day you could not see it on account of the snowfall. Dear greetings Viola |

Hello mum,
Today we had really contemplative Christmas. Host-mum has cooked for her family, we have carols recover and with the saxophone played. It was really nice Christmas. Because of talking and celebrating we have completely forgotten to fotograph. I hope you have also celebrated nicely Christmas! Merry Christmas, mum! Love Viola |

Hello mum,
host-mum has got as a gift at Christmas - a fishing rod. She has passed just the angler's licence, therefore, we have immediately gone fishing. The weather was miraculous. We went to the quarry pond of Eggenstein Though we have caught nothing, but a lot of fun. Particularly the sundown was wonderful! Have a look at this fabolous picture from the sunset. I wish you a good slide the new year! Love Viola |

Just arrived to my new host! I really enjoyed the tour of my new artsy home. I can't wait to see what Miami has in store for me |
winksnana Posted May 10, 2013, 3:54 am |
Today we went to the Vizcaya mansion! It is was designed in the Italian Renaissance style. They didn't allow photos of the plentiful rooms, their gorgeous ceilings, or the illuminated courtyard but we had lots of photo opportunities in the garden. It was a wonderful sunny day in very charming gardens. I can even imagine little stories in certain settings. |
winksnana Posted May 10, 2013, 4:00 am |
ZOO MIAMI! I had so much fun with my friends. Our host took us there for Valentine's Day and there were plenty of couples with the same idea. I really enjoyed discovering new animals and seeing some old favorites. |
winksnana Posted May 10, 2013, 4:12 am |
A common day in Miami! Some gardening, the park, then a cafe followed by relaxing in the backyard admiring the sunset by the lake, and a concert by the Cleveland Orchestra with some public art behind the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. |
winksnana Posted May 10, 2013, 4:21 am |
BEACH DAY! I loved the Art Deco architecture in Ocean Drive. Being a beach bum was so much fun. The water was very cold and wavy for the locals but the sun was just right. Sadly the sun doesn't set on the coast of Miami so I could complete my mission Still it was great to live the Miami life like in the movies. |
winksnana Posted May 10, 2013, 4:27 am |
Today we went to my host's favorite organic stand on Krome (farming area on the edges of Miami) then we picked our own sunflowers, strawberries and tomatoes in a U-Pick. It was really cool and really delicious! |

I'M IN NEW YORK!!! My host will be attending school in NYC and she took us with her on a week long visit. First we toured Columbia University and its sister school Barnard College. Then we expanded to the church of St. John the Divine with its beautiful garden and The Metropolitan Museum of Art (I took pictures with my favorites). Finally we went to Times Square and Central Station. I enjoyed it very much! NYC is very diverse and history collides everywhere. It was a wonderful trip. |

I have arrived! What a long journey! I received a very warm welcome from the other toy voyagers, they are all so nice and have been to some pretty amazing places. A chicken named Huhn has also arrived at the same time. We had some tiramisu gelato a tiramisu cup cake from the shop next door and tea from Finland to celebrate our safe arrival. I can't wait to explore! I also got to meet some very nice cats! So soft and warm, I want to sleep on them. |
Sarah Lynn Posted May 25, 2013, 12:41 am |
Nice cat! His name is Toad, he is very soft and mellow. He doesn't bite or scratch and is very patient and loving. |

Holiday! We make a week holiday near the city of Luebeck! 8 hours with 2 hours traffic jam later we have arrived in our holiday home. It's already dark and we are so tired! |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 1:41 pm |
My first day in Lindow.
Lindow is a tiny village in the northwest from Mecklenburg Western Pomerania. The city of Luebeck are 15 km from here. This is our holiday home (where the door is open). It's a thatched cottage from 1875! I think it's beautiful! But I had a hard time. I'm here only to relax. So… NO photos please ! |
beelicious Posted Jan 8, 2014, 1:44 pm |
I had a wonderful time with my family and the other TV's.
I feel like a new! But now I'm ready to travel further! I say goodbye to my friends. Mom promise me that my next host are very kind to me and reliable is. Bye, Viola |

Hello Mum,
I arrived in Sülfeld. Dicker Kumpel gave me a warm welcome. Then he introduced me to his other guests. Today the weather was nice, so RikeH and I took a walk through Sülfeld. This is the old church. The church was not open, so we looked at the information in front of it and I saw something from inside. There is an old pharmacy opposite the church. Later I found the old school of Sülfeld. This is another beautiful house. Look – I found the emblem of Sülfeld. RikeH had nice flowers at home – I loved these! Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
The weather is awful most of the time at the moment – so we had to find something nice inside the house. We went to play billiards. Dicker Kumpel explained us the rules. Then it was my time! It was really funny! And I won 5:3! Then I explored the room. I think that a horse lived here in the past. I tried to call you – but I forgot your number! And this was a great place, too. Hopefully the weather will be nicer soon. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
It was time to complete one of my life missions. We started our trip to Hamburg. I found the right way. The metro came – it is funny – in some parts of Hamburg the metro doesn’t drive underground. I found a great place next to the window. Then we arrived at the theatre. Mum, do you know this special theatre? This is one of the most famous actress who ever played here. Her name is Heidi Kabel. Then we went into the theatre. This photo looks strange – we didn’t know why this happened I read about the play before it started. Do you understand this sign? It was a wonderful afternoon in the theatre. Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
The winter came to Sülfeld, so we had to take photos with some snow. Let’s start with this archaeological monument. Some children wanted to use their sleighs behind me, but I think there was not enough snow. Well – no sunshine on my stone, but I loved the light on the old school. And the emblem of Sülfeld is beautiful, too. My last stop was next to the church. A wonderful photo with a little snow and the sunshine. I love the wintertime! Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
Today we had great weather, so we explored the surroundings of Sülfeld. What a wonderful sky with beautiful clouds! But to tell the truth – it was really cold! What a long way – maybe I should have stayed at home? Fortunately we found a sunny place for a rest. I loved this place – with a far view. Well, of course there are not really big hills here in Northern Germany. And the small river here was nice, too. The last photo shows me and Dicker Kumpel’s famous tree. Nice! What a wonderful walk! Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
Today I went to Hamburg – this lake is called Alster. Behind me you can see the town hall. And this is another nice view over the Alsterarkaden. Look – what a beautiful postbox. Here you can see the town hall again – a beautiful building. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
We went to the port of Hamburg today. I had a nice view from a place called Landungsbrücken. What a nice tower. On the other side of the Elbe River there are two musical halls – the left one is really new. Behind me you can see the sailing ship Rickmer Rickmers. Then we had a great idea – we jumped onto a small ferry to the building Elbphilharmonie. I had a nice view over the Elbe River. Hamburg’s port is really beautiful. We came near to the both musical halls. Me in front of the skyline of the port. This is the Elbphilharmonie – a very expensive building. I looked to another part of the port – the cruise terminal – but there is no cruise ship today. And here is the part where they load and unload big ships. It was a nice trip for us TVs, RikeH had a hard time, because it was really cold – and her fingers got so cold! Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
Many greetings from the Cruise Ship AIDA Sol. We celebrated the start of our trip with delicious Champagne. Our first stop was Barcelona. Here you see the column of Columbus. We stopped in the Gothic Part of the city – and saw the beautiful cathedral. There was a little garden next to the cathedral and I loved the beautiful palm tree. This is the placa del Rei. We continued our trip on a bus. It was sunny – but we had a cold wind on the upper deck. Our next stop was the big church Sagrada Familia. They still build it – it is a great building – we didn’t go into it, because there was a long waiting time to enter. Here you see me in the wonderful Park Güell. It was constructed by the artist Gaudi, who planned the Sagrada Familia, too. There were nice monuments with animals. The most famous one is this dragon. There is a long bench – we sat on it and enjoyed the sunshine. No idea, why Gaudi constructed this funny way, but we liked it. It was a great day in Barcelona. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
We started our day on our balcony. It was enough place for all of us and we talked a lot. This is the view to the front of the ship – yes we are living in the front of the ship – just over the bridge. There you can see the front of the ship. On a cruise ship you spend a lot of time with eating – so it was time for some sports. We have a Power Plate in our cabin. First RikeH explained us how it works. Then it started to shake… …and we had to train our arms. After that it was time to relax in the living-room. This is the place where I write my updates. And here I am sleeping – in the morning I can see the sea out of my bed – this is great! Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
Today I was in Cadiz. This is the Plaza de Espana with a wonderful monument. We walked around the city and had nice views over the sea and the promenade. There was a very tall tree in one of the parks. Cadiz has so many beautiful churches, this is one of it. Another nice part of the promenade. We went through the beautiful Parque Genoves. Look, the gran teatro. There were funny faces on the container for old bottles. Another nice church. And this is the new Cathedral of Cadiz. My last stop was on the Plaza de San Juan de Dios. I had a very relaxing day in Cadiz. Yours Viola |

Hello Mum,
Yesterday we went to Lissabon. It was noon when we saw the city. I saw the tower of Belem and the famous monument. There was a big bridge over the Rio Tejo. Today was an exciting day – we had a TV-meeting. It was great to sit together and talk! Poschti came on the Cruise with us so we had a welcome party this evening. We had chocolate and fruits. And I had my own bottle of Coke. Then we all took one piece of fruit and one piece of chocolate. It was a nice party, but then we were tired and went into our TV-bed. Good night, Mum! Yours Viola |
RikeH Posted Mar 11, 2014, 11:47 am |
Hello Mum,
After a bumpy trip from Lissabon we arrived in La Coruna. Because of the stormy weather we will stay two days here. Today we took a walk. Behind me you can see the harbor. There were many small fisherboats. From this point we had a good view of our Cruise Ship – it is really tall, isn’t it? There was a fortress – nowadays it is a museum. We saw big waves – maybe it is a good idea to stay a little longer in this town? Believe it or not – only some steps from the water I found this sunny place with the beautiful flowers. These houses with the balconies with glass in front of it are typical for La Coruna. This is the town hall – really nice. Back on the ship I stood on the balcony – can you see the fortress behind me – there we went. And I want to show you this – every evening we got these chocolates – a Cruise is wonderful. Yours Viola |
RikeH Posted Mar 17, 2014, 8:55 pm |
Hello Mum,
I told you about the bumpy trip to la Coruna. We took some photos of it, but I forgot to update it. So here can you see me and my friends looking out of the window. Here you can see nothing from the rough sea… But now you can see more – the waves! I went onto the balcony and saw the waves on the side of the ship. Today the weather was much nicer! Later I went onto the pool-deck. There was a big screen on the deck! Here you can see the name of the cruise line. Love Viola |
RikeH Posted Mar 21, 2014, 9:16 pm |
Hello Mum,
Today was our last day on the AIDA Sol. I walked over the sun deck again – very sunny! This is the theatre inside the ship. This is one of many bars on the ship. Hopefully the weather will be nice tomorrow, because we want to have nice views when we arrive in Hamburg. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
Great news Mum, we had lovely weather when we arrived in Hamburg. It was so great to arrive in the port on the Elbe River. Will I see a nice sunrise? Yes, there it was! Far behind me you see a big bridge. Hamburg is a really beautiful city! There were two theaters for musicals – the left one is not open yet. We spent our last hours on the ship relaxing on our balcony. It was a really wonderful cruise. We should do one together soon, Mum. Love Viola |

Hello Mum,
Back in Germany we had lovely weather, so today it was time for a walk. The nature starts now – because it is springtime. It was nice to sit in the sunshine with my friends. Soon there will be some swans on the lake. We came along another beautiful small lake. This is Dicker Kumpel’s famous tree. We all have to take photos with it every time we see it. Back home we saw the German flag. This stone stood in front of Dicker Kumpel’s house. Look, the first flowers arrived! Yours Viola |

Hi Mum,
We went to a small town called Bad Oldesloe. This is the biggest church here. I went into it – there were colorful windows. I met two wooden men. There was a big organ. Sadly nobody was there to play it. Then I came to a nice water wheel. I learnt a lot about it on this sign. At home I said good-bye to Dicker Kumpel. He was such a good host for me. All the others gave me a big hug. Now I am on the way to my next host. Love Viola |

The Blautopf (German for Blue Pot; "blau" means blue, "topf" means pot) is a spring that serves as the source of the river Blau in the karst landscape on the Swabian Jura's southern edge, in Southern Germany. It is located in the city of Blaubeuren, approximately 16 km (9.9 mi) west of Ulm. It forms the drain for the Blau cave system.

There will be a big event in this family this year: the wedding of one of the sons. Petra is happy, that she is allowed to bake the wedding cake. It will be a cake with strawberries and maybe some marzipan. She still doesn't know the other ingredients, so she has to try some cakes and find out the best version. And of course we are part of this.
Here's the first cake - I can't remember the ingredients anymore, I'm sorry. |

today we had the 2nd part of our sightseeing-tour with the elderly couple and it was my last opportunity to see more from tabriz!!!! first we went to the potters house, a bautiful house of qajar era from about 200 years ago with beautiful coloured windows, where i had been a few days ago, but today we went to see the permanent pottery exhibition in the upper floor!! it was so great!!!!!! and even, mom, believe it, there had been two work-pieces of dear ipue from years ago, as she is also a member of the azerbaijan pottery friends association!! here you will see a pic of a bowl decorated with lily-of-the-valley-flowers, made by ipue!! and the tiles with a bird from safavi-era are made by miss nastaran khosrawi, the same great potter who made the hens in the bassin from last time we went there - do you remember???? from there we went to the post-office, no pics, and later to khaghani garden, ..... and finally to the blue mosque, outside and inside!!!!! miss you, kiss you, dear mom!!! I'm so excited to see you very soon!! |

Today I arrived at home.
But I'm very busy so I said "Goodbye" again . I get an invitation to the UK! Yeah! I'm so excited! |
svartberg Posted Jun 13, 2015, 7:11 pm |
Hello!
I have arrived in the UK!!! I said a quick hello to Cooper, who is a stay-at-home TV. However, I've found out that I won't be staying here for very long! On Monday, I will begin a journey to Finland for Nummirock Festival, so I am ready for travelling again |
svartberg Posted Jun 26, 2015, 10:33 am |
Wow, what an adventure I have just had! I went all the way to Finland for Nummirock, it was awesome!
We travelled down to Gatwick Airport on June 15 by train. As the flight wasn't until June 16, we stayed in a small hotel just outside of the airport in a town called Horley. It wasn't the greatest of places but it was alright to sleep in. As the flight was very early in the morning (check in was at 7) we had to get up at 5am, so I had to drink some tea! Then there was just enough time to admire the view out the window and then it was off to the airport! Stay tuned for more stories of my travels! |
svartberg Posted Jun 27, 2015, 10:14 pm |
Here I am in Gatwick Airport waiting for the plane to take off to Finland!
Unfortunately I didn't have a window seat on the way to Helsinki Airport so I wasn't able to get any nice photos out the window. But I did have a seat all to myself. |
svartberg Posted Jun 28, 2015, 10:17 am |
When I landed in Helsinki Airport, it was then time to travel to Turku! I rode the Onnibus.
The ride took about two hours but there was lots of nice scenery to look at on the way there. |
svartberg Posted Jun 29, 2015, 6:08 pm |
I made it to Nummirock!!!
It rained so much on June 18 that I didn't really get to venture outside, and then my host got extremely drunk so the decision was made for me to stay in the tent for my own safety!!! I didn't want to get lost or wet... But it was okay with me, I was able to stay nice, dry and warm. And I had plenty of snacks to eat too. This cheese container had my name on it! Even though I didn't watch the bands, my host filled me in on what she saw and here's a few photos of the best bands of the weekend. This is Moonsorrow, the weather actually brightened up during their set so it seems like the weather gods approved of them! Whorion were really great too, they had firebreathers onstage and it was an incredible performance. Amaranthe were also a lot of fun! They're a band you have to dance and sing along to, the atmosphere was amazing! |
svartberg Posted Jun 30, 2015, 7:48 pm |
I flew back to the UK on June 22 on a very early flight, so it meant I had to travel on a bus to the airport at 3am in the morning!
I watched the sun rise at about 4am. It was beautiful. ♥ Here I am at the airport at about 5am. It just doesn't get that dark in Finland! Waiting for my flight... On the flight home I got a window seat, so I got to admire the view out of the window this time round. I'm now back in the UK, so I guess it's now time for me to do a bit of adventuring out here! |
svartberg Posted Jul 5, 2015, 5:16 pm |
It's so hot here in the UK right now. I've been doing a spot of sunbathing!
|
svartberg Posted Jul 14, 2015, 10:52 am |
After my adventure in Finland, Wales seems a little boring in comparison It's been raining a lot recently so I haven't been able to see many things but hopefully I can travel soon!
Today I met a very old bear called Daffodil that is a little bit similar to me! She is over 20 years old and very fragile so I had to be very careful when saying hello. |
svartberg Posted Jul 27, 2015, 11:43 am |
Well, I actually went to Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch but the name didn't fit in the place box!!!
We travelled on the train to get there. Here I am in front of a few signs! Unfortunately, aside from getting photos with signs there isn't really much to do in the village, but there was a column to climb up so we headed there. Here it is in the background. And here we are! It should have been open, but unfortunately the surrounding area was very overgrown and the gate was locked with a rusted chain so it looked like it had been abandoned and closed to the public for some time, which was quite disappointing. It would have been nice to go up the column but I guess you can't have everything! |

I have arrived in Grand Haven, Michigan, USA! I arrived while Mel was out of town, so I started my adventure with her as soon as she got home.
And of course since she has just been on holiday for a week, the first thing she had to do was go back to work! Mel does paperwork for the local Emergency Room here in Grand Haven. This photo was taken at about 3:30 am, since Mel works overnight! Jen is a clerk, and Joe is the respiratory therapist. Mel's desk is on the left. They are all working in this area for now because the hospital is building a brand new Emergency Room! It should be done some time in 2017. Right by the registration area is the Triage room. Mel let me explore when there were no patients. This machine is on wheels to go wherever it is needed, and can check blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate all at once. Then Sunday, Mel got a big surprise! her niece Macey had a snake, but being in High School and having a job, she wasn't having enough time to tend to it well. So suddenly Mel had a knock on the door, and her sister delivered the pet snake to Mel! She used the excuse that it was her birthday present. Luckily, mel didn't mind too much, because she likes snakes and has wanted a pet one for a long time. This is Snek. We spent most of Monday setting up this new habitat for him and looking for local stores that we can buy him food and supplies. Snek likes to burrow under the bedding so just his head is sticking out. He is around a meter long!!! I think he likes me. Now it is a chilly, rainy fall day so we are being lazy and snuggling up and drinking tea. It is a good day. |
kessalia Posted Oct 4, 2015, 11:11 pm |
Saturday after Mel got off work and slept for a couple of hours, we went to the Grand Valley State University campus for a small Renaissance Faire. The weather was grey and cold but we still had fun! There were a lot of people dressed up. There was a jail you could put people into and make them ransom themselves out, for charity! We didn't do it though. There were knights there, but the fight was not until later. In the SCA area, Mel's niece got to dress up. PURPLE! I like it! Does it come in my size??? I think this weapon would go nicely with that dress. Ladies can be warriors too! |
kessalia Posted Oct 19, 2015, 3:43 pm |
Mel, Madison and I went to the Grand Rapids Comic Con! Madison was dressed as a TARDIS from Doctor Who.
They spent most of their money on art commissions. We saw a lot of neat cosplays! And lots of other cool things, too. This city is all made out of legos, even the trains. In the lobby, these girls were dancing. We watched for a while. Then we had to leave to take Madison back home. The weather here is getting very chilly! There were snowflakes on Saturday, though I didn't see them before they melting. I will try to get some pictures of the fall color before it is gone! |
kessalia Posted Jan 9, 2016, 11:10 pm |
We walked to the hospital so Mel could work (she doesn't walk everyday, but sometimes she likes to, if the weather is nice. It takes about 25 minutes.) On the way, I took some pictures of the different fall colors for you!
This is a pretty park we passed... Sugar maple trees have the best color! Oak tree was trying hard, though! This red is a Burning Bush - it's green all year until fall, when it turns bright red! These leaves are bigger than me! The trees aren't the only ones getting into the fall mood. Some flowers are showiest now, too! |
kessalia Posted Jan 9, 2016, 11:14 pm |
We are back! Mel bought a new card reader for her computer. Some files seem to be missing, but we have enough to let you know I haven't forgotten about sending letters home! Sorry it's been so long! Mel says to tell you that it is all her fault!
So let's get caught up first.... Halloween! it's a big deal in the US, though Mel didn't do much for it. She actually had a writing party to go to, so she wasn't home for the Trick or Treating. Some houses near her really decorated for the 'holiday' though! I think it mostly depended on if they had children or not? :P Some just wanted to be pretty for Autumn, maybe... And others really got into the 'spirit' of ghosts and monsters! |
kessalia Posted Jan 9, 2016, 11:21 pm |
Mom, Mel very much apologizes for the fire thing. She says she would have grabbed me if she'd had time. It was started by a candle in the basement, which was someone else's apartment. There was no fire in our apartment, just a LOT of smoke. Mel of course had to get out as fast as she could though, and then they wouldn't let her go back in until the firemen had checked everything. Then she grabbed me, but not the camera, so no pics with fire trucks for me, sorry! It was a little TOO exciting!
Luckily Mel's mom got me nice and clean and some special fabric spray got all the smoke smell off me. I am back to my lovely self! So now we are living at Mel's mom's house, until the work crews finish fixing Mel's house back up. The best thing is, Mel is home for Christmas! Her mom is happy about that! And her mom has a LOVELY tree! Lights and pretty ornaments and me. ^_^ Small presents like this stay in the tree, instead of under it, to make it even prettier! This present is a gift card for BOOKS for Mel's niece Madison. She loves to read! I know she will like it.... |
kessalia Posted Jan 9, 2016, 11:32 pm |
OK, that catches us up to now. Mel is STILL at her mom's, and getting a little annoyed by it. They are starting to paint her apartment finally, so hopefully she can move back in next week? We are hoping!
First though, we got to pick the colors for the new space! That was nice of the owner, to let us chose! I voted for purple, but I got out voted, oh well. I can't stay forever anyway. The colors Mel finally picked are named Morning Zen, Tahitian Sky, and Loft Space. I think they will suit her better than the bright blues that were there when she moved in! Mel obviously likes blue though, because this was her favorite Christmas present - a lot of fabric! Why? Because it will be a gorgeous quilt later in the year! Mel was very excited. She is going to use the Storm at Sea block pattern with it. At Mom's house are two cats. That is not helping Mel's allergies, but she still says she would rather be here than in a hotel room somewhere. They are nice! They are both older and mostly just lay around. This is Toby. He has a skin problem and is taking medicine for it. That's why he has a bare bottom! This is Sassy, she is 15 years old and partially blind, but she pretty healthy for all of that, even though she spends most of her day on Mom's bed. Snek is here too. He had to get all new bedding and a new hide, and I don't think he likes his new one as much. He still has no problem burrowing though! He is in Mom's office for now. She has gotten to like him better, she wasn't sure about him at first! So other than that, time has been taken up with work, sleeping, and furniture shopping! Mel ordered a new bed and desk, I can't wait to see them, with the NEW rug and wall colors when we get to go home!!! Big snow storm is supposed to happen tonight, maybe I will have snow pictures to show you soon! |
kessalia Posted Jan 20, 2016, 8:50 pm |
It's snowing! Quite a lot actually, and it has been all week. Today I went to explore while Mel clearing the driveways and walkways.
She'd better clear off her car before work, too! It was clear yesterday... The birds don't mind the snow. They still get fed! It looked so soft and fluffy! I decided it woudl be worth a second of cold to jump in, just for a moment! But now I am happy to be back in the warm! We are going to stay in until work time. Brownies and puzzles! Yay! |
kessalia Posted Jul 18, 2016, 3:23 am |
Back updates coming soon, I hope!
Mel's mom has a bit of wild garden behind her house. A lot of it is raspberry thicket! We picked three pints of berries! We ate a lot, too. This was my basket. Yum! We knew we couldn't eat them all at once, so we went home to Mel's and we made Raspberry Jam! Jars full and boiling to seal and sterilize... There! 4 lovely jars of raspberry jam saved for later! I thought the best part was eating the leftovers. There wasn't enough left for another jar, so we ate it - over icecream! YUM!!! Summer here is fun! And blueberry season is starting! HURRAH! Miss you mom! Have a great summer too! |
kessalia Posted Aug 2, 2016, 7:57 am |
Guess what season it is here in West Michigan? It's BLUEBERRY SEASON!!! They are so yummy!!!
We bought LOTS. Then we ate them ALL. |

Today cute Viola has arrived in my home! Thank you for sending the TV, beelicious! Viola was welcomed by her friends who will go all together to Hamburg soon... there are waiting many adventures for them [color=indigo]
Violas new friends are Sophie, Paul and Sheep! Hello mum! I feel fine! |
windy62 Posted Apr 23, 2018, 5:52 am |
Hallo beelicious! Last week I have visited Hamburg. Here I'm in the bar of the hotel room where I can have a tea or coffee. |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 6:38 pm |
In Hamburg I have visited Planten un Blomen! That is a wonderful little park with a glasshouse with many cacti and succulents.
Here I am! |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 6:48 pm |
The day was not yet completed! Here you see me in front of a very famous fruit... After an icecream at the "Jungfernstieg" with a wonderful view at the sunny "Binnenalster"we had a walk to the "Elbphilharmonie" which is a famous philharmonic hall near the river "Elbe". The Hamburgers call it "Elphie". Unfortunately I'm not on a photo The view was a little bit foggy, but that is not untypical for Hamburg... |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 7:35 pm |
This was the day where the two ladys I'm traveling with had their flight to France. For one of them it was the very first flight ever- so unfortunately they were so excited that they haven't taken so many photos with me... here you see me at the airport in Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel! In the background the aeroplanes are starting and landing. It was really an adventure! We were even flying over Paris and we could see the "Arc de Triomphe" and the river "Seine"! After ~2 hours we were landing in Bordeaux and picked up a cute little rental car. With the car we drove to Arcachon, a small village at the Atlantic Sea. It was very funny to see the ladies searching for a parking place... finally they found one in a parking garage. We had a beautiful hotel in the car-free zone- I will still show it to you... |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 8:03 pm |
Perhaps I had a tiny bear-jet lag So I missed the sunset... so sorry! Its a joke- I was relaxing in the wonderful hotel after that exciting day! Here you see a photo of the hotel "Residhome Arcachon Plazza". And one of the sunset- unfortunately without me. |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 8:24 pm |
Here you can see me in front of a shop where they sell fish and other special food in steelcans. Looked so colourful! Did I mention that i wasn't alone? I was accompanied by my friend Sophie. In the morning we were in the "Parque Mauresque". I have only another photo of Sophie... On 19th of April my ladies drove to the "Dune du Pilat". It was a very hot day and I prefered to stay in the air conditioned hotel. The "Dune du Pilat" is a famous touristic place where the tourists are walking on a dune. On the dune there is no tree- that means no shadow. Only sand and sun like in a desert! Nothing for a sensitive bear-girl like me! But of course I will show you an impression of the dune! On 20th of April we go back to Bordeaux- our next destination! |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 9:04 pm |
Here I am in the Hotel of the Bordeaux quarter "Chartrons".
The hotels name is "Une chambre chez Dupont". Here I am on a group photo with my new friends Sheep, Sophie and Paul the squirrel! It was an exhausting day. We had to drive in Bordeaux, a large city on a sun burning day... the city was new for all of us and we brought the rental car back to his owner in the airport area. Later a photo was taken with me from the hotel room. It was so romantic! |
windy62 Posted Apr 25, 2018, 9:48 pm |
Last day we spent in the Cité du Vin. Very, very interesting! I was not every day on a photo- but I enjoyed the vacation in France! Bordeaux is so beautiful! It is called "Little Paris"...
And we had a really good weather for April! |
windy62 Posted Apr 27, 2018, 8:47 pm |
Hallo- home again! Today I was in the IKEA Restaurant in Braunschweig.
They had the first asparagus of this season... mmmh! I wish you a nice weekend! |
windy62 Posted May 26, 2018, 8:04 pm |
Hallo-today I traveld to the Harz in Germany. Exactly it was the Herb Garden in Altenau! It was wonderful to smell the fragrance of the blossoms and spices! I was there with my new friend HolgiHH! Here we are in a bed of catnip!Wow! What an experience! And the colour suits me, doesn'it? |
windy62 Posted May 27, 2018, 8:23 pm |
Huhu- here we are! It was a so wonderful day! My host Mama has taken right some more photos! |
windy62 Posted May 27, 2018, 8:56 pm |
This is the sculpture "Scuffling Boys" („Balgende Jungen“ by the Osnabrück sculptor Gerd Ruwe) on "Jacobsonplatz" in town Seesen(Harz) in Lower Saxony/ Germany. A nice place for a photo! ^^ |
windy62 Posted Jun 10, 2018, 12:01 pm |
On that hot Saturday I spent an afternoon in community of bookcrossing people. Here you can see me in front of a pile of books :-) |
