School 50, Novosibirsk, Russia - 3rd February 2014

Hi everybody!
On Saturday I went to school with Dasha. She's studying in ordinary state school "№50" in the 11th (the highest) grade.
It starts at 8 AM. Putting books in the bag...
A lot of people tie the scarf like this to protect their lips and nasal from frost. I'm in the mitten!
I've tried to take some photos outside, but the camera just doesn't work in such weather
The first lesson is Physics. I helped to assemble the circuit.
Yehuuu, it works! We got '5', which is the highest mark in Russian schools.
I made friends with Dasha's classmates. They are all a bit crazy, but nice and funny
Next lesson is History of Siberia. See the building in the black-and-white picture? It's the large theatre, the main attraction in NSK. Dasha has promised me that we will see it in person.
At 11.30 AM it's lunch time! The students seldom bring lunches with them 'cos the food in canteen is veeery tasty in this school! They get it free for food stamps.
Today we have borsch, sauerkraut, a bun with cervelat and sweet tea.
Now it's Literature. I've learned some about Russian poet Sergey Esenin and enjoyed his poems which have been spouted by students.
Reading the Wikipedia article, we suddenly discovered that Esenin and Isadora Duncan (above) look like Dasha's grandparents (under). Their faces are really similar!
Usually school finishes at 3 PM, but on Saturday it's two hours earlier. Lazy weekends started... I'd like to go for a walk, but it's better to wait for a warmer weather, at least -30C.
Much warm greetings!
